My med management doctor in Artesia referred me to Elevation because they do telehealth appointments and I havent found a therapist that is the right fit for me in my area.I am SO glad I actually made an appointment! If you get on the wait list, be patient. Rhonda is my therapist and she is amazing, supportive and so easy to speak to. Now I have several family members and friends who are patients. The office staff that Ive spoken to are so nice! Youd think all mental health practices have kind people working in their office but they dont.Because its telehealth, I arranged to take my lunch early on the day I have my weekly appointment and go to my car and do my session. I dont have to take off extra time from work to drive to my session. Occasionally, I have to reschedule my appointment, and I cant speak for all the therapists, but Rhonda always offers to make arrangements to reschedule my appointment that week.My only side note, and Id give them 5 stars regardless of this, is its hard to find a therapist who specializes in children who has appointments after school. There is a shortage of therapists all over New Mexico, so its unfortunate but understandable that after school appointments would be hard to come by.Solicited or not, I recommend Elevation to all my friends and family.
Ive had reservations about doing counseling for a long time and finally did it last year. Its changed my life for the better. All the folks at Elevation are awesome, professional and kind. From the front desk to My counselor, they are amazing and welcoming. Would recommend Elevation, always.
Choosing this place was the worst mistake ever. The person who scheduled me was given all my insurance information prior to the appointment and instead of them saying we dont accept your insurance I was scheduled anyway then got billed twice. I would NEVER recommend this place. Lack of upfront honesty is a sad thing.
My experience with Elevation Counseling has been one of the most positive experiences Ive ever had. The entire staff. The front office staff and of course the counselors really do care for your mental well being.I recommend Elevation to take care of you.
I was apprehensive to seek video therapy. Im glad I did. The impact this pandemic has had on me and my household has been challenging, overwhelming our family. Our therapist has been amazing and worked with all of us. Our family stay at home life is much improved. Thank you Elevation. I can hear the smile in the voice of your office staff any time I call.
They could care less about effective responses. It took me weeks to get a response, I followed up, its now been another two weeks since Ive followed up about my inquiry in working with them for counseling services. I will gladly be taking my time and resources elsewhere. I personally feel this is the least people related avenue a counseling center could take. To say they are concerned and invested in people severely lacks in the customer service department. Hypocritical and ironic.
Front desk staff is great, the place is quiet and relaxing. Havent had any scheduling issues thus far. I see Michelle Morgan and she is great. The tele-med during Covid-19 has been pretty seamless and has allowed me to continue my therapy. I feel I have made great progress and am becoming more self aware and introspective as a result. This is what i was looking for.
This place is a lifesaver. My daughters therapist has made a huge difference in our lives. I dont know what we would have done if we had never found this hidden gem. The girl at the front desk, I think her name is Nika is always helpful and always makes a point to talk to my daughter and remembers my daughters favorite candy from their candy bowl. Thank you Elevation for making life a little easier.
It’s very hard to find good decent therapist for a teen age boy. We thought we would do well here with this group. Sadly we had to cancel an appointment do to unexpected dangerous weather conditions. We were told we would get a call back to re-schedule. Well that never happened. Now the person we were hoping to see is so booked we are out a possible great chance to help our son. When your office person makes a statement that she will call back I hope she treats other potential clients better than we were treated.
This is my second time coming to this counceling center. I like the therapist that they have paired me with so far. But I do not appreciate this center forgetting appointments. My therapist made an appointment for me to see him two weeks after my initial visit. I arrive and find out no appointment was put in for that time and my therapist wasnt even there. I had to take time off of work for an appointment someone forgot to input into the system. Highly disappointing. They have no problem charging patients $55 for a missed appointment, yet dont hold themselves to a similar standard.Edit:I went in for my rescheduled second appointment after they messed up above. Guess what, they didnt put that appointment in either. I cant believe how unprofessional this place is. When I expressed my disbelief about this and asked to talk to the manager, the front office lady lied and said that I didnt give her the information needed to make an appointment and just left the day before. We had a conversation the day before where she asked if a 2pm appointment the next day was alright. I indicated that it would be great. She turned to her computer. Typed a bit. Then told me everything was all good. When confronted with this mistake, she started to blame me. Lady if you forgot to put in the appointment just admit your mistake. The manager wasnt helpful either. Instead of apologizing for her employee straight up lying, she made it seem like it was my fault. They managed to squeeze me in for an unproductive counceling session as I was so upset about how they treated me. They then scheduled me for another appointment. Printed out the date and then insisted that I take a copy after I told them I didnt need it multiple times as I use google calendar for everything. The manager just stated this way they know I have the right dates. I never missed an appointment or had wrong days. They simply turned this whole thing into a fault of mine. My only fault was expecting these people to be professional.I will never go to this place again.
I love it here! After searching for a therapist for a while I was directed here and it was a perfect fit. Their new location is super relaxing and nice too. I also love my therapist here and feel like I make progress every week.
The therapist is so wonderful, kind and helpful. The people who work in the reception are great as well. Everyone is nice and the location is very convenient. Easy to recommend it to others.
Worked to set up an appointment with a very helpful secretary named Laura. Finally made it all happen. Thought I had a good initial first appointment. My therapist said that she thought she could work with me and the only real concern was that I couldnt see her twice a week. Was called two business days after by Laura and was told in a very passive and professional manner that my therapist, Debbie Losada, felt that the appointments were not therapeutically conducive and I was referred elsewhere. I dont know what that means. Im not sure anybody could really know what not therapeutically conducive means or be able to discern any clear reasons. So I have no idea why my therapist decided to stop seeing me. I had to get them to even be clear that she was going to stop seeing me. So I was passively referred elsewhere and expected to cooperate without any real or clear reasons given. I wanted to understand why. So I asked that my therapist contact me to explain it. I doubt she will. Which is one of the reasons I wrote this review instead of waiting for her to call me. I would like her to prove me wrong. I might even remove this review if she does. But I doubt that will happen.I have never experienced something like this before outside of the mental health field. Not with any normal or sane business. It was very weird and very passive. And very clinical. It even felt like I was being treated like I was doing something wrong for merely trying to understand why that therapist had decided to stop our appointments.Afterwards I was told with a smile to Have a very nice day!How could you trust someone like that or want to have anything to do with a field like that?
This review is based solely on the counselor I visited. My husband of nearly 19 years and I went and saw Leatrice Allen for marriage counseling to improve our communication. The level of failure that ensued was spectacular. Not only did she focus almost entirely on my husbands ptsd for most of the 5 sessions, which we were not there for, she also said a few things that really shocked me.For example, on session 5 (in which she had no idea what my name was) we were asked to name 5 things we were each going to do to improve our relationship. One of those things for me, was to become an RN. This would alleviate a lot of tension in our home being that my husband and I work together. Ms. Allen disagreed with this saying that I didn’t have an adequate passion for it (how would she know? She didn’t even know my name.)In session 6, she asked us to name 5 things we’d like our partner to do to improve our relationship. I asked that my husband include me in decision making, effectively treating me as a partner, as his decisions create added responsibilities for me. Her suggestion to me was that I better manage my time, and have my children cook dinner every night, rather than expect partnership in my marriage. It was at that point I got upset and walked out. My finest hour? Absolutely not. But, once I left, she then berated me to my husband and called me “a psycho”.Now, I’m sure it’s easy to think, maybe she is a psycho, lol, but I guess you’ll just have to take my word for it. Also, she talked about herself a lot. She was a divorcee and single mother to multiple kids, put herself through various schools, was a professor at 2 colleges, etc. I feel like she’d be hard pressed to recall anything about most of her patients, evidenced by the fact that she still couldn’t recall my name after 5 sessions and I assume a review of our file prior to those sessions. At the end of the day, our marriage did not improve, our communication did not improve, and we are currently in the middle of a divorce that started immediately following our final session. Our marriage survived 5 war tours, 5 cross country moves, 3 teenage girls, running a business and all the work that entails, but could not survive marriage counseling with Ms. Allen.
I was able to find a great therapist here and the front office ladies are kind. Waiting room and therapy room feel really nice.
This place has amazing customer service! Always enjoy going here! And love the wine and cheese they have to offer at the end!
Life changing experience.
I emphatically recommend Elavation Counseling! From my first contact they were able to match my needs to the right therapist. 6-7 months of rewarding, hard work and I am finally able to be my true self.
Ive had a great experience with Michelle. Very modern and super helpful approach in all aspects. Highly recommended.
I like the therapist and the receptionist is nice and has candy.
Worst place you could ever go went one time was fade to wait an additional week for my appointment that apparently was canceled!!!! Thanks for the help. Useless company!!!!
Thumbs down. They don’t return phone calls, they don’t reply to emails.
