We had our first visit today. It was a very good experience overall…from the hygienist to the front desk and the kind doctors. We had to leave our dentist of almost 20 years & you made a new experience very comfortable & easy. Dr Newsome, fellow dentists on his team and his entire staff are top notch! I had a filling in a front tooth replaced and Dr Newsome took extra care to make sure the color matched to my satisfaction. In addition, l needed a crown and was able to get the whole process taken care of with a short turn around time. His assistants and hygienists are highly proficient in their areas of expertise, compassionate, personable and gentle. The office staff and manager insure your appointments are scheduled in a timely and convenient manner, including evening hours, as well as go the extra mile to provide multiple ways for your services to be covered financially, whether you have a private insurance plan, Medicaid, need to set up a payment arrangement or apply for credit. If referrals out of their practice are needed they provide several so that you can choose a provider that meets your expectations. Dont let me forget to mention the beautiful ‘state of the art’ facility that is impeccably clean and has excellent ventilation to keep you safe and comfortable. With spectacular views of the Sandia mountains and high desert you might even get to see a hummingbird while you sit back in your chair! No wonder Riverpoint has been awarded Best of City many consecutive years in a row! I wish my family and l would have found this team years ago.

I had the same dentist for about 30 years, our whole family went to see him and I totally trusted him. When he retired, finding a new dentist was a scary prospect. I tried a couple of dental offices and just never felt comfortable. My sister-in-law found this place, they treated her well, then she referred my sister who referred me. From the second I walked in I felt at ease. The staff are warm and make you feel welcome. They are very well organized and communicative. The dental clinicians and the doctor were all incredibly professional and efficient. I felt comfortable and confident that I was in good care the whole time. I am so grateful to have found this place! Heres to the next 30 years! Haha!

Girl in front, who was making my next appointment was rude and probably a toxic person to work with. I was just mentioning what I wanted done on my next appointment and she was like, well I am talking about your next cleaning . Did you really have to say that, can she not say it nicely. Btw, your fake eyelashes look cheap. If it wasnt for the great doctors and their excellent patient rapport, Im not going back to this place.

I am going to take some time to explain my two star review for people like me who should pay attention to the consistencies in the poor reviews instead of only the 4.8 average. Also note that I have now found a dentist with ZERO 1-3 star reviews.Really I should have written this review 7 months ago when we had our first really negative experience with the front office and were charged for things we blatantly said we did not want if not covered by insurance. I decided to give it another go however and only mention it now to demonstrate this wasnt a one time issue.Last week, I called to make an appointment to both have my teeth cleaned and to have a tooth I was concerned about looked at. I was told specifically that the tooth in question was supposed to be worked on in July and I didnt come in and that was probably the issue. I was confused because I DID come in and have all advised worked on. And honestly, guilt tripping patients is low. The office manager (Veronica?) then proceeded to tell me that the tooth on file was not the one worked on and that this was probably a difference in dentist opinion because one did my exam and another did the work.....obviously this freaked me out and again was an unacceptable explanation. She said she would investigate.This week she called back asking to change my time from 1:30 to 1. That was confusing because my appointment was at 12:30...I changed it to 1 as she asked and asked if there was an update on my case because I was really concerned something was done wrong. She told me that she didnt know. Later, she called back a third time and said that I was correct with my initial 12:30 appointment and she was looking at the wrong system. I asked again about information and she said she didnt know. She also said this is what happens when I dont come in regularly. AGAIN, low and not relevant to what was happening. I had rescheduled 6 weeks past when I was supposed to. NOT a huge deal and guilt tripping is again so unprofessional and unacceptable.(Third conversation and second week)Finally, I had my husband just go get my records because he was off and I was at work. He did so which they seemed to find very offensive. Three conversations hadnt gotten me anywhere though so I am not sure what they expected? My husband offered to talk in private and the office manager declined. We got my records and it turns out I was supposed to have tooth 18 fixed and they billed insurance for tooth 19...what is worse, I dont even HAVE tooth 19. I havent since I was 14. So...then we were REALLY confused.I went in to get the tooth checked and it will be my families final visit. Nobody apologized at all for the total miscommunication, the blame, the rudeness, confusion, lack of organization and compassion...Dr. M arrogantly just told me he called the tooth the number that made sense to him and not the other dentists and that he had also fixed it in a better and cheaper way than the other dentist would have. I am not sure how this fixed the situation but seemed to make him feel better. The tooth is well and actually didnt need work, so none of this was even necessary. My initial call NEVER should have started with being told I didnt get the right tooth fixed and as soon as there was concern, it should have been addressed. We definitely deserved an apology too. I wont even go in to the insurance issues that could be caused by randomly deciding which number to call a tooth...I giving two stars instead of one because I realize it could be worse and the lady who cleaned my teeth today was AMAZING. However, I will never put myself through the unprofessionalism and coldness of the office manager every again.Update: Owner did call and email me today. I responded to him right after my meeting. We talked half an hour. He did apologize and show kindness though excuses were made for his staff. There is zero misunderstanding in this review and saying so is disregarding of it. I was offered compensation for my troubles but the situation isnt one that can be fixed.

This places rocks!!! It was clean and welcoming. The ladies upfront are great and friendly. My hygienist was Hannah. She was kind and gentle. My new dentist Dr. Montgomery was very thorough and patient during my exam. I will be recommending Riverpoint Family to all my friends and family!

As a busy working Mom it is hard to work in appointments for your children. Riverpoint Family Dental has early morning and evening appointments to help accommodate to get my family in. I trust the dentists and feel confident with the care they provide for my family. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The office is nice and clean and they have an amazing view of the Sandia Mountains. If you are looking for a great dental office, I highly recommend coming here.

Today was my first visit to Riverpoint and it certainly wont be the last. I received a text to confirm the appointment two days prior to the appointment. I called that same evening. It was a pleasure speaking with that staff member. She asked me if it would be alright to answer some health assessment questions. I said certainly. Their office was protecting their patients and I certainly appreciated that. I know what it is like to be just a patient that comes and goes. I cant wait till I go back in July. Todays visit was for a prophylaxis with Hannah, my hygienist. She was outstanding. Throughout the entire time that I was there, she asked me if I was alright and if there was anything she could do to make my visit more comfortable. I met Boyd today also. He too asked me why I chose Riverpoint. I told him that I just had a wonderful feeling about their office. I was not wrong. After Hannah completed taking the radiographs, Boyd came into the room and we spoke. He did not rush his examination. It will be my pleasure to recommend Riverpoint to anyone that i think is appropriate. Boyd, congratulations on having an office with staff that are there for the patient! Feb. 4, 2021: I went in for a routine cleaning and had recently cracked a tooth so I knew additional work was needed. Dr. Newsome coincidentally had a cancellation and bumped me right in to have a filling and a crown done. A lot of work today, but I am more than satisfied knowing better dental health is on its way! Very clean and welcoming Shy was so sweet when I called to get my next appointment. being i was undecided to get a crown.Came home and though about it.I am not looking forward to this at all. I have have some BAD experience.But Dr. BOYD was very a patient, kind and explained things to me. I am going to go through the crown here soon. My hygienist was Hannah. She was kind and gentle. I am sure if they will take good care of me! I will see them next year.

Like most people, I was not one to prioritize dental care. Your basic brushing twice a day, and flossing. It gave me a bit of anxiety to go to a dentist office after all these years, and feel like Im going to have a mountain of bills, and my teeth will hurt. This was not the case whatsoever. From the receptionist who I spoke to when scheduling, to the doctor i met with, were all very kind and understanding. In no moment did I feel talked down to, or that my time wasnt valued. They answered every question i had confidently and with care. Also the cost was extremely reasonable. I look forward to future visits, and recommend this office to anyone looking for a new office.

Riverpoint was the only cosmetic dentistry office that was willing to listen to what I wanted without trying to upsale me on procedures that I didnt want or wouldnt help. I have had extremely crooked teeth for most of my life and after 4 visits I have a straight smile that Im no longer embarrassed to show. Also everyone in the office was very friendly and accommodating.

I went to Riverpoint based off of the reviews here on Google, and I was not disappointed. The staff and doctors make you feel welcome and provide wonderful care. My procedure was extensive and I always felt like I was receiving the best care possible. Even when there was a minor hiccup in my treatment, I received a call from the doctor directly and felt like my concerns were well heard and very quickly addressed. I would also like to thank all the ladies that work in the front office. No matter if I am there in person or calling with questions, they are always very professional and kind. I dont know that I look forward to future dental procedures...who does??? But I do know I will be going to Riverpoint.

I came to Riverpoint Family Dentistry for a consult and was extremely impressed with Dr. B and the whole staff. From the prompt response after initial inquiry on-line, to the pleasant tone over the phone with reception, these ladies understand what Reception (receive) means. Their welcoming demeanor when I walked in was refreshing. His assistant was friendly and genuine (dont you love it when people are organic and friendly?) BUT THEN!Dr. B walked in and I felt like a teenager. His handsome face was a surprise (I read his bio but pictures dont fully portray). ANYWAY, I got past the handsome face to concentrate on what he was sharing with me about my concerns, and that is where the magic really happened. I am self conscious of my teeth, and he was completely non judgemental and put me at ease. We discussed my options and I am excited to say my future with them looks bright and soon, so will my smile!

I was dreading going to the dentist today, as I usually do. I got in quick and the facility was very clean and prepared for COVID19. Regular cleanings usually seem like they take forever and are incredibly painful but today it was wonderful. I wish I knew the name of the girl who cleaned my teeth but she did a GREAT job and I left not feeling like I just got attacked. Thank y’all! Definitely the best teeth cleaning experience in all my 24 years.

Dentist here claimed I had an infection, went to a different dentist and they told me other wise. How ridiculous! The dentist here tried to Rip out four of my teeth when theres nothing wrong with them! Glad I went to a different place with professional caring dentist, having open wounds in your mouth like that is dangerous and can cause an actual infection or health problems.Going to this dentist is like walking into a neighborhood full of people who are intensely nice to you meanwhile theyre planning on killing you for dinner.

Very happy with all my experiences here! All visits have been very smooth, they always take me back right away and are always thorough and careful that you’re not in pain. I’m normally super anxious at the dentist (like a lot of people) but this place gives me no anxiety at all because they’re so quick and friendly and make sure you understand, which is amazing! I just want to thank the staff at River point for being so quick with squeezing my 7 year old in for a second opinion all because I was worried. As a single mother I sometimes tend to worry that I do too much and worry about the silliest of things but your staff was so understanding, kind and validated my concerns. The assistants were just as amazing, they didnt push anything on my son and immediately could recognise that he was getting anxious, they talked to him kindly walked him through what they were doing and even gave him water to calm down a bit. Tabitha (might have actually been Samantha... not 100% sure) was amazing! Took the time to explain things and made sure I understood the importance of each recommendation she made when it came to improving my dental hygiene. She pointed out specific areas that needed more attention and informed me of products that would best fit my needs. Recently switched to this practice and have been extremely satisfied with my visits so far.

I scheduled an appointment for my wisdom teeth. Had to reschedule because they scheduled me for an incorrect cleaning.I calledfor my screening before my next appointment. The lady informed me that the last lady I talked to never scheduled it.So whatever, I rescheduled. I come in, my phone wasnt paid so I didnt do the screening. So the Front desk Manger lady says she can ask the dentist if hell still see me. Keep in mind the the lady looked so disappointed to see me show up for my appointment from the start. She continues to argue that they made multiple calls and sent emails. I dont want to argue I said Ill wait to see what the dentist says no problem. Another lady walks in after me The manger lady asks if she did her screening on the phone. The older customer says no. The manager gives her a paper to fill out instantly and treats her with kindness. She then brings me one a few moments after.Here I was nervous thinking they were gonna pull my wisdoms out. Instead they took an x-ray and sent me on my way. Talking to the dentist I thought we agreed that I was gonna come back and he was gonna pull one or two. I told him I perfered one at a time. He sarcastically replied with Well no ones ever starved to death from getting their wisdom teeth pulled. Well I prefer one at a time I know the dentist prefers a bigger check.I got in my car realizing I didnt know when to come back for my appointment so I go inside to ask. The manager lady says she gave me a referral to a surgeon I explained I dont want that, that Id like to schedule an appointment with them instead. She repeatedly tells me that they sent me to a surgeon instead for all 4 wisdom. I said I just need the 1 out. She says Well we refered you to a surgeon I said I dont want that for the 4th time. Her tone got louder and louder. She said I can confirm with the dentist the dentist hears her getting frustrated and comes out asks whats going on. I explain Id like to get my wisdoms pulled by him. He cuts me off during my sentence and says I dont care what you want.., I just cant put you to sleep I told him I never asked to be put to sleep that I wanted to schedule with him. He told the desk lady to schedule an appointment. As she schedules the next date she continues to act rude about the time and date. Still in shock and furious that the dentist just told me I dont care what you wantSo I said Ya know what. Just cancel it, Youre all so rude she asks what she can do better ? I told her she had a bad energy and instead of explaining the situation she repeated the same sentence to me over and over as if I was deaf. No respect.Shes acted like this previous visits. God bless her soul cause shes clearly not satisfied with life. And The Green eyed charming dentist isnt so charming if he doesnt get it his way., Be aware of that.Im a respectful young man of the age 21, to be treated this way by people whove been adults longer than I have was ridiculous and so upsetting. I was so infuriated.Lorena (Short haired girl) seems to be the only GENUINE kind soul there but unfortunately she wasnt the one to help me today. I dont understand how someone so sweet can work next to someone so wicked.Your staff is NOT professional and caring. However they are excellent at acting fake.Your manger lady has been rude many times. And your dentist literally told me word for word I dont care what you want after rudely inturpting my sentence. This review is for the PEOPLE, not for you to believe me. Take another look at this review, you really think Id waste my time writing all of this if it wasnt such a bad experience?I tried calling back. Very professional filled out my forms ahead of time email them and did a routine checkup and cleaning. They also do recommendation for orthodontics depending on your situation. over all clean and good hygiene place👍

Their staff is very friendly. . . I went to get fillings done. They were so nice. I hate needles especially getting shots in my mouth. They worked with me to get a quote for the gas (I forgot what its called). They also use a topical before they give the shots. The dentist applied it and let it sit to take effect. I love this place. They even called me that night around 7 to see if I was doing ok and that the anesthetic went down. Definitely recommend them.

I’ve been coming here with my family for 15 years, when dr Brimhall was there. Stayed when Newsome took over. Over the last few years I’ve watched it become more about $$ than patient care. He use to have consistent hygienists now it seem like he just has newbies, can’t keep anyone for a long period of time. I was surprised when I went for my appt about a month ago and none of the front staff had masks on. Government mandated mask rule and atrocious to see folks not wearing especially in a dental office. But the hardline and where I will never do business here again is the constant poor treatment my spouse and myself has received. I don’t know many who like going to the dentist and most people are edgy- good customer service begins when you have the ability to help a variety of personalities. I called a month ago to cancel an appointment for a crown that isn’t actually necessary with zero issue. Called back a week later to find my spouse has been placed inactive. Called twice asked for Newsome to call me. I’m still waiting for a phone call. There are a lot of great dentists in ABQ and trust is why someone will stay or go. You cannot trust this business to provide care, they are just trying to make a buck.

I had a big filling in a molar break apart and could not get into our now former dentist office for two weeks. I called Riverpoint and they not only put me on the schedule but called me back the next day to fit me in! I meet with Dr. Henry, he is just awesome and take it from me whos biggest fear is the dentist. His bedside manor is soo easy going, honest and non judging. He made everything he would have to do to fix my broken tooth sound easy plus he worked with my needs and did not make an issue of it. Now I know why they are recommended by our kids orthodontist office and have such a great following! Dr. Henry is now my only go to for dental needs and I look forward to getting dental care from him!

I have been going to Riverpoint for years, and the quality of their service and staff is always above and beyond. They are fantastic. The staff: always friendly, quick, accommodating. Hygienists and assistants - the best. Dr. B - a perfectionist in the most flattering sense of the word: no cutting corners, no pressuring, no hurrying, no compromising quality. Today, I watched him, Jennifer, and several others work for 5 hours straight on 3 orphan kids from Ukraine. It was only the beginning. Those kids have massive amount of work that needs to be done after years of neglect. Dr. Boyd said “Let me help.” And now he and his people are helping those kids pro-bono, because Riverpoint understands that “it takes a village” I like that village, I am never moving. :) Thank you, Dr. Boyd and every single person at Riverpoint.

Got the opportunity to have my clean done by the hygienist, Shaundra and she was dope! Made sure I wasn’t in any pain the entire time and went through thoroughly of the process that we’d be looking into after my cleaning. The receptionist Kyra was dope too. She was very helpful and gave me a quote and ran me through my insurance while I was there on spot. Super friendly environment with awesome people! Whoever reading this, give everybody in here a raise because they top 5 with it!

It was very easy to get scheduled. I went for my appointment and everyone I encountered was pleasant and knowledgeable and they informed me of the process of my future procedures and what to expect. Dr. Wes and the staff were very nice and easy to talk to. They gave me good news that I wasnt expecting to hear. They made me feel welcomed. I found this dentist office on a google search. I made an appointment and I am lucky I did! I found a great dentist and I really liked the location. The office was very nice and clean, brand new equipment, they have a very friendly and professional staff and the dentist I saw was Dr. Boyd and he was fantastic! I was able to do a general cleaning as well as have some cosmetic work done which was exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great dentist.

I was in excruciating pain from an abscessed tooth and was having a difficult time finding someone who could fit me in on such short notice; So, after a few nights of no sleep and days of pain-induced starvation, I called Riverpoint Family Dentistry.The staff at Riverpoint Family Dentistry was very accommodating and sympathetic of the predicament I was in and got me scheduled the same day I called. What a great experience! The office staff was so friendly and nice. My hygienist (shaundra) was kind and gentle and very concerned about my comfort as was my dentist Dr. David. I felt comfortable and safe. The fancy and upscale surroundings make you feel relaxed. The TV in the cleaning room showed an aquarium video which was soothing. Happy patient!

Recently had a cleaning at this office and I have to say it was one of the best experiences Ive had. The staff was super friendly and they had an amazing dental hygienist, Ciara. You could really tell she knew what she was doing and made my experience very comfortable. She answered any questions I had while reassuring me that I was in good care.
