My Dishwasher sounded like a machine gun. Something was very wrong.Redwood maintenance came, worked on it and, no more noise.I thought a new machine was the answer, but its fixed.Great Job

I lived here for 2 years. I lived in two different apartments and had very different experiences in both of them. First I lived in a studio, which was small but perfect for me because it was just myself. I never really had any problems, everything was in good condition. The second year I lived here I moved into a two bedroom two bathroom. It was much bigger and much more luxurious. Overtime as I lived there things started falling apart. I had to get my air conditioner in the bedroom replaced during the first few months of living there. Upon completion of the new air conditioning unit which was substantially smaller than the old one so there was a big gap between the wall and the unit. I was informed that someone would schedule another company to come and fix the wall and no one ever came. I called over four times and no one ever returned my call. Needless to say when I moved out on June 29th the wall has still not been fixed and the insulation is STILL exposed. I dont blame maintenance at all for the wall, as they told me that someone in the office was going to schedule for a third party to come in to fix it.. I had wasps flying into my house through the air conditioning unit in the living room sometime in April, but maintenance came and remedied that promptly. When I was moving out I noticed that the flooring in my second bathroom had started to come up due to moisture. It wasnt always very easy to get a hold of anyone if you had an issue outside of maintenance. All in all, I would rent here again if it was under different management as i wasnt overly find of the managers attitude or the way she spoke to me on any occasion I dealt with her. Her attitude was almost a deterrent whenever I needed to call the office for concern. This neighborhood deserves more then 3 stars when it comes to the people that live here. Everyone is super nice! I felt very safe living here and there was NEVER any drama or disturbances. Like I said, I would live here again if it ever came up and I need somewhere to live, this will be my first choice. Maintenance is really good. They are timely and get things done right.

The snow removal throughout this winter storm has been very impressive. Lots of salt put out and all the walk ways were shoveled. Very happy with how they are handling this weather!

Ive only just moved in so this is of course subject to change,but everything has been wonderful so far! Very clean, quiet location. Management has been very helpful and kind and Im thoroughly enjoying the whole experience so far.

Everything was wonderful, the apartment is very clean. I appreciated the soap, paper towels and toilet paper. It came in handy. I love the large freezer, I can store a lot of ice cream! I had lived here approximately 15 years ago, it’s good to be “home”

I wish I had a better review since Northampton Apartments in Akron was my home for over 3 years. The first year was GREAT! I fell in love with the location and having the park next door, along with my own entry way and no neighbors above or below me. I worked with Marcia and Mindy when I first signed my lease. When I first moved in, I had a welcome package from them - very sweet! When I would go in to the office to drop off my rent checks, Mindy always called me by my first name and it felt great that she made me feel like she wanted to get to know me. Sadly, as soon as I resigned another year, Mindy and Marcia went to a different location. That is when everything turned for the worse. Vicki and Hannah replaced them - rent checks were lost which I was never late but it happened multiple times with them and said I was required to pay the late fee even though it wasnt my fault. From there I switched to online payments. Hannah helped me set it up then somehow it over charged me with the utilities. I brought it to there attention and Vicki had the nerve to say they cant refund MY money. She was like Its only $40 but what she doesnt realize is I work 2 jobs and I live paycheck to paycheck. I was in shock she would even say that as a manager - I feel like Redwood should make her do a cultural sensitivity class because she showed no sympathy whatsoever. She was always rude any time I go into the office and my neighbors agreed. It came to the time to resign my lease. I went back and forth then decided to stay another year and a half just because it was affordable plus it was close to both of my jobs. Hannah made a mistake on the lease after I signed. She left some charges off - I was definitely taken back that I owed so much more monthly. Never got a sorry but since I signed, I had to deal with it. Walls were thin. I could hear my neighbor blowing their nose. Moving out was atrocious with Vicki and we kept going back and forth.Maintenance was pretty fast with coming the same day. However, I had frequent shower problems that were temporarily fixed. Towards the end I just ended up living with it because I was tired of keep putting an order in for service. When putting in a order, make sure request they either take their shoes off or cover them. I assume that they would automatically but that was not the case. They left a lot of footprints when they came in and out with dirt. Towards moving out, apparently a pipe burst under my apartment or the one next to mine. During an emergency like that, I was never contacted. They just entered without my knowledge and I found out 12 hours later when I got home from work with a note. I felt violated because I didnt know and I had laundry out on my couch.Overall, Redwood could be the best home, just not at the Akron Location. Dawn Marie at the corporate office was AMAZING! Anytime I had problems with Hannah and Vicki, I would call her first and she always took care of anything I needed. I did not get my full security deposit back even though I left my place spotless. I was highly disappointed. Im just glad Im finally out and on my own home.

We love the new sign at Northampton. Finally feel like part of the Redwood community.Hannah, Vicky, and all the staff are great.Update 3/2021: We truly enjoyed both times we lived at this property. We only left as an opportunity to own a home came up...Vicky, the office staff, and maintenance men are all fantastic. Highly recommend Redwood Akron!

I put in a maintenance request early on Monday morning, expecting at least a 24 hour wait. Much to my surprise it was only a matter of hours before one of the maintenance guys fixed it! Good crew here at Redwood Akron!!

The management team is very helpful and friendly. They are so quick to respond to any concerns I may have. The maintenance team is just as great. Their response time to any issue is within the hour. Ive been living here for a few years now and Ive always felt safe and at home!

This place has been such a wonderful change from places I have lived previously. Everyone who works here has been so easy to work with, accommodating, and kind. As a bonus, no upstairs neighbors and the area is quiet and safe. I honestly have no complaints!

The office staff was excellent. Hannahs help and communication was amazing through the whole process from picking an apartment to getting my lease documents and utilities in order she even followed up after I moved in.Also my unit is so nice with the upgrades they’ve done and the location is perfect. I would definitely recommend Redwood Akron!!!

Great size and price for a 1 bedroom. Hannah was very helpful. She responded within an hour of me scheduling the tour online, answered all my questions, and texted to say my application was accepted the next business day.

Northampton Apartments: The apartments are very cozy with vaulted ceilings int he living room. The property management is nice, helpful and very caring. Really liked it.Village of Northampton: Great apartment. Same great property Management. close to Portage Trail, Village etc. Like living there.

We lived in Northampton Apartments for 2 1/2 years before moving over to the Village. The Northampton Apartments are very well kept and quiet. The Village is also very well kept and quiet. The apartments themselves are updated, vaulted ceilings, open floor plans and a great attached garage! Kathy and Marsha in the office are absolutely wonderful! They are so kind and very on top of everything. By far the best management we have ever come across. Maintenance is always very quick to respond to any issues you have at any time of day or night. They are very affordable for the area! We have loved living here and would recommend them over and over again!

A decent place to live. Quiet and cozy, right next to a metro park trail down into the valley. The buildings are old but the maintenance crew is very responsive. It was nice to be in a single level apartment home. The online system, Rent Cafe, is poorly developed and frustrating but the office folks are generally helpful. Hasnt been the same since Kathy Griebel left but its still a nice place to live in the area.

I lived here for 16 months, and for the most part I’ve been satisfied. The community is clean and quiet and the staff at the office are friendly and helpful. My only main issue was the price for what you’re getting. The apartments are smaller with outdated appliances and decor. Also, I wouldn’t suggest living next to a unit with a handicap ramp. They’re metal and ridiculously loud anytime someone uses it. I’ve been woken up countless times. Also, I would suggest purchasing your own snow shovel. The sidewalks aren’t cleaned particularly well and they will not clean the area directly in front of your door. Other than those few issues I never had any major problems with my time living there.

I enjoyed living at Redwood I had planned on living there for an extended perod of time. but I retired and moved out of the area.I always felt safe and was very comfortable in my apartment.The staff was always friendly and always very prompt in dealing with any maintance issues.I highly recommend Redwood apartments to anyone

I have three suggestions for people from all around the world:Be careful about your pocket. The only thing they care is money. Asking 500$ to be in the waiting list is their trick to get you into their game!Read every paper that they give you to sign three times, especially the rent price. It is fluctuating several times before getting the apartment for no reason!They are refusing to show you the unit before your moving in day. Insist on viewing the apartment!

Have been living here for 11 years. They are very quick to raise the rent, but very slow to upgrade appliances or repair things in the property. It took me 6 months to get a new dishwasher. They never offered to replace carpet or do some upgrades. They are not very customer oriented.
