Took my car in believing it had a transmission issue, they took it on a test drive and blew my motor up then tried to charge me $6,500 for a new engine and $1,400 for labor it had been low on oil yes but you could easily tell that it was not the issue when the car idled up to a speed of 20mph but still decided to road test it. I’ve hear bad reviews from family and friends about overcharging one said she was being charged 1,000+ for a fuse yes I’m making sure I keep my oil full but when I heard multiple stories I realized I was in for a bill because everyone that asked where laughed and said good luck second place I took it said I never should’ve taken it there and only charged $2,556.00 in total as opposed to what would have been $7,900

I have a 2007 Hyundai with an internal transmission failure. I was recommended to call Russ at Aamco. Not only was he patient and helpful with me, he saved me quite a bit of money with his smooth talking to the dealership. I was passing through when I heard a terrible noise from my new-to-me 20 year old jeep that I was told was ready for the road. I stopped at AAMCO and met Russ, the manager. I told him that stopped because I heard a terrible noise, and even without an appointment he said he could look at it in just a few minutes. I was shocked. He spent quite a bit of time with me and even went for a drive two different times to try to hear the noise. After listening he told me that I was likely safe to drive on but to pay close attention and get it looked at right away. He also took the time to give me a reliable supplier of re-manufactured parts as well as detailing what he suspected to be wrong. He told me to mention his name and the supplier should give me a better price. I asked him What I owed him for all that work and his time and he refused payment of any kind... UNBELIEVABLE. Russs calm disposition and concern was a real blessing in todays self centered world. This sort of care and concern for a total stranger is what made America the country it is, and whats missing from the way people treat each other today.Thank you Russ, for all your time, knowledge and patience. Kind, caring and compassionate staff and management. They were unable to help with our car so they helped with our situation (stranded 2 hours from home with a 12 month old) by ensuring our comfort and offering whatever service they could. One worker even drove us to the car rental place so we did not have to uber and they kept the car until we could make arrangements to have it moved.

I had my transmission rebuilt here. I experienced a couple issues a couple weeks after the work was done. Ron had me bring my vehicle back in. The technicians there were able to fix the issues rather quickly and sent me on my way. It’s been a couple weeks and everything is still running smoothly.

Went in for a free check up of my car after I thought I might have some transmission problems. Russ was very thorough in his explanations, and walked me through each step as he was doing it. It was very helpful in figuring out what needed to be fixed, and overall I felt good about the experience. As a consumer, it was nice to have information given to me in a clear manner while also feeling like I was being educated on what was happening with the car, and what could be done to remedy it.

Great customer service! they changed a transmission in my van amd it went bad they changed it again no questions asked! then today i had gotten tires somewhere else about a month ago and my van started making this aweful noise they checked it out found out my lug nuts were loose tightened them up test drove it again to make sure that was the noise and the problem and sent me on my way.great people!!!

I took in my car after-hours because it was misfiring, but when they turned it on, it ran completely fine. They called and told me they couldnt find a problem, so I took it home for no charge. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Instead of just telling me I needed a transmission, they also checked everything else to make sure they knew the root of the problem. Larry kept excellent communication with me throughout everything, and he went above and beyond being helpful as we navigated the problem. The work was completed quickly, and it was genuinely easy and wonderful to work with them (considering it was rebuilding a transmission :)). This will be my first stop from this point forward.

My husband took my car to AAMCO because my regular mechanic told us that the problem we were having was with my transmission, which he doesnt work on. We remembered that we took my old Toyota Camry there years ago where they installed a rebuilt transmission for us. They did a great job then, so my husband took it there. Russ, the assistant manager, rode with my husband (with the computer hooked up) in the car to see what it was doing. He then told him that it was not the transmission, but thought that it may be a bent axle or drive shaft. They were super busy with cars up in every stall. He didnt think they would be able to fit us in for a few days but insisted that the car not be driven. He checked with one of his coworkers, Frank, and he said he could get to it the next day. I was traveling thru town when my transmission went on me. I ended up here and Russ and Ron took the best care of me. They were sensitive to the issue of me being a traveler. They worked out all the warranty details and even drove me back and forth to a hotel! I still had a 7 hour drive home after they fixed my transmission and I havent had any issue since. Those guys were amazing!

They went out of their way to fix our broken down car quickly because they knew we were on the road miles away from home (they even drove across town to get parts from the dealership). It was also quite helpful that Larry was forwarding the calls to his cell phone on Sunday so we were able to arrange service for first thing Monday morning. He even recommended a hotel where we got a discount that was walking distance from a variety of restaurants. Turned a bleak situation around!

I’m from Alabama, was on my way to Pittsburgh to work, and on my way my transmission went out on me, so I looked up the nearest transmission shop and this one came up, I can honestly say it was a blessing that this one popped up. Because these were the nicest guys on the planet to deal with, they even shut down shop to take me to the Rent-A-Car place to pick up a car and they had my truck ready the next day .

Honest, knowledgeable, and friendly! Had a noise I wanted checked out on my 03 Wrangler. Called AAMCO and spoke with Russ. I explained the noise and he offered to drive/diagnos the problem for free. I scheduled an appointment the next day and we met. He was very thorough in explaining what he was looking/listening for the whole time and explained what he though the issue could be. Ultimately the most impressive thing was his willingness to be honest and up front about the fact that I didnt need the expensive solution I thought I did. That kind of honesty can not always be found in the automotive world. Also Russ being a Jeep owner gave me several hints and tips as I am new to the Jeep community. Hard the car for about a week to fix the transmission and they are letting us pay over the next 6 months!! So pretty great place!! An there is a 12 month warranty on the transmission as well.

I was expecting a professional service, not some guy next door tinkering with car stuff he doesnt understand....My car was sent here by another repair shop due to the type of work. Not the next day, but the day after I received a call wanting to know what was going on with it. Keep in mind they have had it for 2 days now. I explained the issue and somehow they were able to give me a quote over the phone... ? it was quite expensive but I expected it to be as I needed a new clutch. After they took it (transmission/clutch) apart and accessed the damage, they called back stating what was wrong and that it would be a little more than expected. The gentleman I spoke with recommended i not swap out a certain part because he didnt think it was bad. Trying to save me money. Cool. I approve the work and in a few days I picked up my car. Something wasnt right with it. I could tell the second i started driving. I took it back and they assured me everything was fine. I pressed the issue and after some lame excuses about the car being new and hes never worked on a car like mine before, they agreed to keep it overnight. The next day (1/2 day later.. weird it was done so quickly) I got a call saying nothing was wrong. I went to pick it up and same issue. My clutch was soft and was sticking to the floor. They drove it, agreed something did feel weird and decided to replace the part they had originally suggested i not replace. They quoted me a price for said part but included more labor. labor I feel i had already paid for. They had me drive to a local shop, order the part myself, have it shipped to them and they would call me when ready. Its been over a month and I have not heard from them...I have sense been to a CERTIFIED repair shop and they were able to fix the issue in a half day. HALF DAY! I would not recommend using AAMCO.

I had called in about a humming sort of vibration with my cars tire, three days later I got it in there and they did a multi-point inspection, drove it, and came to the conclusion the tire rotation I had gotten at Jiffy Lube needed to be reverted back. Sure enough, it took care of the sound! Really wonderful service and will be back with any future problems!

I broke down traveling from Indiana to Pennsylvania, which if youve ever broken down in a place you dont know, you know how helpless this makes you feel. Called Aamco first thing in the morning and told them about my problem and they said they would do all they could for me. Within hours I was back on the road. This place is fantastic!!! Ron took care of getting my vehicle in and checked after i broke down going to Indiana from Pittsburgh. Russ was accommodating and knowledgeable. He called multiple places to be sure I got a good price on my wheel bearing (which is expensive for a Hummer) and charged me minimum labor. I felt safe and comfortable waiting for my car which they fixed that day. To add to my great experience the mechanic is a Steeler fan. Its so nice as a woman with emergency car problems that there are places like this that dont take advantage of them. I wish there were more Russ in this world. If you live in Zanesville use them for your vehicle service. They deserve it!!

When I called AAMCO, they give you a high end estimate for worst case scenerios. Which is a lot more reassuring. Took my car and found Id also need rotors for the rear as well. So when i paid $100 less than what they stated it could be, I was even happier. Great customer service, friendly staff, and awesome work! I will definitely return again. I started to feel my transmission slipping on my Tahoe and instantly Googled the closest transmission shop to my location. The AAMCO on Linden kept me updated and in the loop with the warranty company I have. They made an awful situation into a not so awful week (with the exception of not having my beloved Tahoe for the week). They really helped me out. Ron was great, he really did me a solid with being honest and keeping me in the loop since I dont know much about cars anyway. Great customer service and a great experience! Awesome place to take your vehicle or RV to. My RV was acting very unusual not to mention it was an older model. Every place told me my torque converter was to blame. Low and behold gave Russ at Aamco a try. Found out in half hour it was only my manual shift switch. Saved me over 700 hundred dollars. It was warrenty work through an extended warranty and they handled it completly. They only used OEM parts not aftermarket. Very impressive! A five star rating is precisely what this company deserves, specifically the Zanesville location. I was stranded on the side of the road because my transmission had stopped working. I was in a panic because the price to fix my vehicle was astronomical. I had called a tow truck and was waiting for it to arrive. I called AAMCO and talked to Ron. Ron offered to have my car towed to the shop at no charge and even offered to drop me off at my house because I was so close to home. I am absolutely astounded by the customer service that I was a given.The exact same day, my fiancé had a noise coming from his pathfinder. We were very worried to have both of our cars potentially out of commission. Ron and the guys at the shop fit his car in to be looked at, identified the issue and fixed it promptly. The issue ended up being one that another shop had made while completing an oil change, and AAMCO fixed it to us free of charge. I appreciate all of the hard work and the kindness the men from this shop have shown my fiancé and me. My issues were promptly taken care of, the responses were genuine and even after figuring out my car had a warranty and would need to go to a dealership, Ron still went out of his way to help me make arrangements. I highly recommend AAMCO.

There was some minor issues with the work done but it has been rectified and overall this is an amazing company and I would recommend it to anyone needing auto repair or any kind of automobile work done at all Ron and Russ are amazing people who are there to help you in every way possible

Trans rebuildless than 100 miles the thing had a problem i returned it thinking here we go (runaround)Im a skeptic lolWaited a day called Larry He told me the problem a defective part they wanted to test drive it in the morning mind you i live 35 miles away we were figuring a way to get it back home.
