We have been using Comstock Air for over 20 years with excellent service. When our nine-year old Trane Heat Pump stopped working on Thursday, August 27th, I called at 3:00 PM in the afternoon and AJ came out to see what was wrong. AJ has been maintaining our heat pump on a regular maintenance agreement for many years. After running some tests on the unit, it was determined that the compressor failed. Since we still had a warranty on parts he said that he will call to find a replacement.The next day he called to say that he could not find one and we discussed our options and decided to upgrade to a Bosch 5 Ton-Seer 19 package unit. With a heat wave and temperatures over 110 degrees, the crew came out with the new unit at 2:30 PM. They had to retro fit the Bosch unit on our garage roof and within three hours we had air conditioning again. This was less than a 24 hour turnaround by Comstock Air. We are very impressed how quickly Comstock could get a unit and install it during this heat wave so that we could get air conditioning back into our home. Our dog “Krystal,” is also happy to be cool again!On Saturday, AJ called to see how the unit was performing and we said excellent, much quieter, and better performance than the Trane unit that we had. This shows how our service technician AJ cares about his customers, and he is very pleasant to work with.This is an excellent company with excellent staff; we would highly recommend them.Nancy H.

If I could, I would give them 0 stars. Waiting for a call back for days, then waiting for a quote for weeks after measurements just to find out they charge 60% above market price.Not worth your time or money.Edit:After I posted this review the Comstock Air conditioning called me several times(within 1 hour of posting).Magically they found time to respond (their excuse was that it was a busy season).I ended up using different company that did the installation within 24h of a first phone call for 60% of the price Comstock Air Conditioning was trying to charge me.These guys are CANCER. Stay away.

I buy my a/c filter by the case alot more convenient and less expensive.

Yesterday one of their technicians ran out of gas in the drive-through at Starbucks on the Big Curve. The technician refused help from multiple people who offered to assist him with pushing his vehicle out of the drive-through lane. The technician insisted help would arrive within a minute or two. For at least 20 minutes the technician selfishly blocked the drive-though lane. His careless and selfish decision to refuse help to move his vehicle after he let his vehicle run out of gas had a major impact on Starbucks business for that time period. Another Comstock employee showed up with a gas can and the technician was able to start his car and move it. However, before moving his vehicle he happily chatted for several minutes with a buddy of his who drove by. Again he showed no regard for the major disruption he was causing to the local Starbucks and its potential customers. I will not be using Comstock if this is a representation of the character of personnel that they employ.

They have very nice professional people & can usually get a big or little job done in no time. Our AC went out & they had it fixed in less than maybe 2 hrs. Then my mom decided to install a new AC unit which took maybe 1/2 a day if that. I definitely recommend them. Thank you so much for restoring our AC as quickly as you did! Even though it was in the 90°s.

How do you explain perfect service. In Yuma when your air conditioner goes out in the middle of June, all you want is to get your cool air back. I didnt need to be a technician to know my unit was shot. Comstock Air Conditioning took the time to confirm my suspicions, and explain my options. I received the great service that you would expect from professionals. Additionally, I received quite a savings on my electric bill.

I was recently in need of replacement of my A/C. I got four estimates and Comstock Air was my first choice be a mile. Fernando was absolutely excellent as the sales rep. and Robert, Manny and Hector were also GREAT as the installers. The whole team was outstanding from start to finish. When our air conditioner failed, Comstock was a highly recommended company to do the replacement. Seth came out that morning and thoroughly explained all the options that we had. He was very personable and professional. The crew that arrived the next morning were outstanding. Within three hours, they had the new unit installed and running. They did a thorough clean up and it was as if they were never there. I would highly recommend Comstock Air .

We had our Trane heat pump installed via Comstock about 4 years ago yet they couldn’t find out what was wrong with our unit. Found out through the grapevine it’s because they lost their contract with Trane and don’t even tell clients. Therefore they aren’t able to warranty the parts. Also found out that my thermostat should’ve had a 10 year warranty had Comstock registered it... they didn’t... now I only have a 5 year!! Glad this issue was discovered at the 4 year mark by another local company. My last straw with Comstock is when Victor (employee of Comstock) called MY phone and asked for my husband... I told him he was busy and if he could let me know what’s going on and he was rude and refused to speak with me. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

The first visit with Robbie that came out to check out our A/C system on our Park Model I was impressed with how polite and honest he was. He did not try to sell us anything that we didnt need and was very straight forward. We scheduled an appointment for Seth to come out and give us a quote for a new and more efficient system. Again, very polite and explained the advantages of each system that they offered. I did not feel pressured to buy one over the other and no press to have to sign up immediately. When we get ready to buy I will definitely give them a call. Thank you for your professional and polite service.

I want to thank you Fernando and your tech for the great professional service you had provided me. I had a issue with my AC not working properly the other day. Fernando called me with updates, his tech came within an hour and explain to me what was going on with my system. I cant say thank you enough. We too were very satisfied with their total replacement of our HVAC four years ago. Two days ago, a Sunday, with the temperature well over 100 degrees, the $20 capacitor failed and I had no way to buy a replacement so I arranged with the serviceman to come out for the overtime charge of $145. Ten minutes of labor and parts then cost me an additional $185! I was satisfied with the results but not with the charge!

I am very disappointed by Comstocks service after I spent more than $4000 on a retrofit installation and new equipment at an apartment complex.When I went back 3 months later to see if they could do some additional work, I was ignored and told that they were busy doing contact work for a federal government project.Thats nice for Comstock, but come on guys you could at least be considerate and give me a date as to when you could come back out.In addition I asked if they could order new vents (I was ready with cash to prepay) as the ones on my units were old and rusted. Nope not in my lifetime, I went back 2 times and every time I was told the order was lost.So to sum it up on the whole experience, Comstock and the owner Mr. Henry is happy when you fork over large amounts of cash but if its a small job they will forget about you.

They came out and fixed my AC last night, this morning its not working again... Cant afford another fix..

2015 I replaced one of my AC Units, sales rep Seth was very inexperienced in this sale! Sold me a Day Night Unit for a bit over 5,000.00 Dollars. Didnt both to take measurements, or check my Ducting.They got it installed. That was an interesting situation (installers seemed like a crew of drones)!Sense I was not residing in the house full time, felt like I just needed to get the project/job done!!!I was not satisfied from the get go....and now that its spring 2019, Im Replacing it AGAIN!!!Hansberger AC Service, Soooo much better for the sales, installation And SERVICE!!!I bought 2 Units from Hansberger Refrigeration and Electric Company! They do cost slightly more, BUT for what I got, SO Worth it!!!!Comstock needs to learn from Hansberger, how to take care of this Service!!!

It is rare that that somebody really follows through all the way to the end.

I wish to share our experience with those shopping for an air conditioning company in the Yuma, AZ area.We bought an older home in Yuma 10 years ago and it had its original AC. Because it was an expense we couldnt afford, we have limped along with it for 10 years. Last year we had a contractor come out to service it and after he replaced the coils at about $1500, we got nothing but warm air and our utility bill skyrocketed to over $1000.00.This summer we have decided to bite the bullet and get a new system. After being taken so badly last year, we did a lot of research... We had the best companies we found in the area come for estimates and finally decided on Comstock and a Trane unit for multiple reasons. Fernando, the salesman was so courteous and informative; he answered all our questions clearly and didnt mind repeating when asked. When he came back with the proposal, everything was spelled out, and explained. They also offered a 2 year no-interest loan which greatly helped with financing.Once we signed, the work began the next day. The installers were on time, polite, neat and wasted no time. The entire system was installed that day. This was no easy job as they had to remodel and fix the closet the unit went in and seal all of the vents.It was then tested; we were instructed carefully on the use of the unit and assured that Fernando would follow up in a few days to check on everything. True to his word, he has called and made an appointment for a visit.We could not be more pleased with both the unit we purchased, the warranty and the professionalism of this team.I highly recommend Comstock Air Conditioning whether it is for a new unit or just servicing. I will like to express my sincere gratitude to the Comstock team for their excellent costumer service. Two months ago my air conditioning unit broke down, and called several companies for an evaluation and estimate. The few companies that I called only came asked me very basic information, gave me an estimate, and left. Not been satisfied with the poor costumer service, I called Comstock. Fernando who is the Comstock sales person came and measured my residence, and asked me tons of questions regarding my previous A/C unit, and family habits in regards allergies, dust, etc. Previously before calling Comstock, other A/C companies did not even bother to ask me the questions Fernando asked me. I later came to know that Fernando holds several certifications that highly qualifies him not only to be a sales person but also to do an entire evaluation of your residence and tell you exactly what you need to do to improve the performance of your unit, reduce energy cost, and improve air quality. After doing an entire evaluation of my residence, Fernando provided me with a list of options of A/C units, financing plans, and recommended the best A/C energy efficient unit. We opted to purchase a Trane unit due to the high reputation and technology Trane have. The price was a little bit high compare to other brands, but you can’t go wrong with Trane due to their 10 year warranty and money rebates from Trane and APS. Before the installation, Fernando did a walk-thru with me and explained with detail exactly what he was going to be installing into my residence. When the installation crew came, they did an outstanding and quick clean job. After the installation, once again Fernando did a walk-thru making sure the installation was done properly. He also did additional testing to the new A/C unit and duct system to make sure there was no air leakage. Fernando went the extra mile by helping filling up the Trane and APS rebates paper work for me. Last but not least, a moth later after the installation Fernando called to make sure my new Trane A/C unit was working properly. Thank you Fernando and the Comstock team for treating me and my family with such professionalism and care.
