I’m a current resident at The Edge and I love it. The leasing team of Michaela and James are great. Very professional and accommodating. Maintenance here is top notch. Jarrod goes above and beyond. I would recommend the Edge to any students or young professionals looking for a great place to live all wrapped into your monthly rent. Easy and convenient!

We are planning to have our daughter live off campus at The Edge. at Union Station. We have been working closely with Marie and our experience has been nothing but great. I am grateful for her guidance via long distance and the countless emails and lengthy phone calls . I’m excited for our daughter but at the same time I am nervous for various reasons. The Edge looks like a great place and I am confident now (thanks to Marie) that We made the right decision. I’ll be back for an updated review after move in day!

Honestly, one of the best places to love In this area. New apartments come fully furnished and cleaned. Bring your clothes and food because that is all you will need. The apartments even come with a television with free wifi. What else more can you ask for? A great location for working professionals. If we could give more stars we would.

Currently living here, just renewed my lease as well. This place is amazing. The Lounge is super fun, 24x7 gym, leasing office is helpful 95% of the time.Unlike other apartments Ive lived in, work orders are finished within a day of you filing it. Jarrod is the man. Got any issues in the apartment hes got you covered.Residents are nice as well.Only reason for 4 stars is the lack of openable windows and some bedrooms have no windows at all.No parking provided. Would have been a huge plus!Rent is affordable as well.

I have lived at the Edge for a year. It was a great place with friendly management. I had to sublet my bedroom and the transition went smoothly with the help of the management especially Diane.I did get my security deposit back within 2 weeks of move out.Shuttle bus service was a great addition for student residents to local colleges and universities.

I moved into the Edge in August and the experience has been nothing but the best. The leasing office and Diane made my transition to Worcester very smooth and continue to be extremely accommodating. The complex has the best amenities and is in a great location for students. I plan on renewing my lease and would recommend the Edge to anyone!

Bottom line is, Dont rent from these guys unless you love sleeping next to freight trains. If you do decide to do it, heres what will happen: if you get a 4 bedroom suite, they will put you right next to some really loud trains that run 24 hours because they can place you wherever they want according to the lease. then if you want to move rooms they charge you money and even then you dont have a choice where youre going. do yourself a favor and stay away from these people.

The rent is super affordable especially for the area and the amenities offered. I especially love the fact that they do not charge first and last months rent when you sign a lease. Just a $500 deposit is required at move in. Looking forward to seeing the final product when I move in next semester for acupuncture school!

The location is close to Shrewsbury street if you like to eat and the train if you travel a lot. Jared is the man and will make you feel welcome in the building. He went out of his way to take care of anything I needed and was one of the few friendly faces in the building. However, most of the rooms are right next to the highway so you constantly hear construction noise and sirens. They also charge you by the room, not the unit itself. This means you will be living with 3 other people and still paying 1000 dollars a month (not including the utilities and convenience fee if you pay online). Mikayla will also give you a hard time the entire time youre here if anything goes wrong. Towards the end of my lease she texted me almost daily reminding me when I needed to move out and even grilled me for moving out a few days after my notice to vacate, even though my lease was still good for a few more days. This place only cares about your money.

*current resident* don’t read the old reviews from The Edge. I have lived here for 2 years and I have had nothing short of a great experience. I have seen many managers come around but Michaela the new Property Manager has really worked with me on my lease renewal/any extensions in the past. I am graduating this year and am sad to move out!! Any work orders i submit are taken care of almost immediately. Edge has made amazing progress since first moving in and I encourage all students reading this to live at The Edge!!They have resident events, although I have been unable to attend it’s a great bonus to show residents that management cares!! There units are also fully furnished making your move easier especially if you’re like me and moving from across the country!

I lived at The Edge at Union Station for 1-year and if I could describe my experience it would be extremely unpleasant. I’ll admit the features and amenities are top of the line for Worcester, but the management and services are way below par. These are some of the major issues I encountered during my time at The Edge:*For about 3 months my roommates and I did not have any blinds on the windows. If you know anything about the building it has huge factory windows. The management lied for months about getting these blinds, saying that they would be here before we knew it. My roommates moved in before me and had been asking for these blinds since June 2017. We didn’t end up getting them installed until November 2017. To expand on that, one of my roommates had a bathroom with windows in it and his privacy was extremely limited without blinds.*The Edge provides a shuttle for their residents, which I admit is a great service. The down side is that the management seems to have no idea when these shuttles are running. Numerous times I needed to access these shuttles in order to get to work. I would call the Leasing Center and they would have no idea when the shuttles were running, or if they even were that day. For example, one time I called and they said that the shuttles were running, but it turned out that they were not. I waited 15 minutes for it and ended up being late for work. There was almost zero communication from Management on time changes and schedule throughout my time at The Edge.*The Edge charges each resident for Utilities, which I understand is standard. During my time as a resident on numerous occasions they overcharged or double charged my roommates and me. This mistake happening once is understandable, but the fact that this happened up to 3x seems like they were trying to pull one over on us. For this to happen in back-to-back months had me conclude that the Management thought I was stupid. This was just another example of them trying to take advantage of their residents.*Maybe the biggest gripe I had with my time at The Edge is the security deposit that I didn’t fully receive back. The Management took over $125 for Cleaning and Paint Fees. My room was extremely clean when I left and during my final walk through Management assured me that I wouldn’t be charged for Painting Fees. Just a little tidbit of knowledge is the building charges each resident a Painting and Clean Fee regardless of the condition of the room, which is not standard whatsoever. I was even given the email of one of their higher ups to address this issue who constantly takes at least a week to get back to me as well. Additionally, my roommates didn’t received his deposit back until two months after he moved out (the lease states that a resident should receive it within 30 days).*During my year at The Edge I probably went through 5 Building Managers. Each time I had an issue or a question it seemed as if was dealing with someone different. To add on to that, in just a year span the Management decided to increase the monthly rent and parking pass exponentially.I know this review is lengthy and seems a little extreme, but I promise you if you’re looking for reasonable management and price in an apartment, The Edge at Union Station is not the place that you want to be. I’m a young professional and thought this would be a perfect fit for me, but as you can see from my experience it was the polar opposite. Worcester is rebuilding itself and The Edge is trying to put itself in the middle of the rebuild, but beware its selling pitch is filled with more lies than truth.

I moved into the Edge from day one. Upon moving in I expected the property to be great and was overall excited. That was not the case. After 6 months of living in the Edge there were no blinds in either of the rooms in the unit. Furthermore, the staff did very poorly in managing each other and being timely and responsible with issues. Multiple times there was huge parties in the subfloor level where people broke out fighting in the hallways to the point where security had to be hired for a few hours a night. I was promised my security deposit and never saw it, regardless of the fact that their were no scratches or damage to the walls in my room I actually received a bill! Very disappointing and not at all what was expected from this property.

They maintain the building to minimal standards. The gym they have is falling apart with broken machines which they don’t fix. This building is also very dusty. This apartment complex isn’t worth the money.

It is very sad that some people working here are unfortunately dishonest, especially since they apartments are very good. Before I moved in, I contacted the leasing office directly asking if they have a room with a window facing south ( a window facing south usually has the brightest and most light throughout the day) and they said yes, I asked if I could have the room & they said that I could. After signing the lease and moving in I discovered the window was not facing south, in fact it was facing north( the direction in which the least amount of light can ) after discovering this I immediately informed them. The pretty much told me that I had to wait until a room to become available.( which was about 4 months). On top of that the are slow when it comes to repairs, the shelf in the closet collapsed and I asked it to be fixed but it been about 3 weeks since and they still have not repaired it. If I wasn’t afriad of breaking their ridiculous lease policy, I would do it myself .TLDR: leaseing office person said that they would reserve the room that i wanted, the room Turns out to not be what I wanted. Also it turns out they tricked me into signing a lease and living in a room that I don’t like.

If I could give the Edge @ Union Station 0 stars, I would. Dont be fooled by the pictures and propaganda, folks. Ive been a resident since week 1 of the opening (June 2016), and Ive seen three different changes in management. They only tend to issues when people threaten to break their leases or dont commit to renewal. Ive complained about people vommitting in the gym bathrooms and elevators and leaving it multiple times, but to no avail. Other residents also walk around the gym barefooted, and sometimes place their bare feet on the gym benches (disgusting!).I went a total of six months without even having blinds in my fully furnished unit. Theyre also increasing rent and making false promises to current residents. Ive also had personal items stolen from my unit by third party contractors, while I was away. I had no idea that they would even be in my apartment! A friend of mine on the first floor also had A CAR CRASH INTO HER UNIT!!!! She was not compensated in the least bit! The story even made the Gazzette...Be very cautious, because I used to get my utilities separately from National Grid, and then the Edge all of a sudden halted receipt, and began charging our accounts, without us seeing our bills anymore. In short, this place is failing to fill units and theyre desperately trying to keep this place alfoat by price gauging and duping residential hopefuls.- A current resident
