I went here with my friend and we wanted dip manicures. We wanted to do some different colors on each nail but they said they’d charge 15 dollars extra for it (which is way overpriced) so we did two different colored hands (still 5 dollars extra but whatever). The manicure itself was fine, nothing special but when we were getting rung up I saw they charged me another 5 dollars for the removal of my old polish. This is ridiculous bc I’m already paying for the new manicure why are you charging me more? I walked out after paying $60 which is way more than it should’ve been but it was an okay manicure so whatever right? It’s now been a week and already my polish is chipping and cracking and doesn’t even look good. Not a good experience and definitely won’t come here again. I got jipped and it didn’t even turn out okay. The picture is after only a week and it looks horrible.
I received a signature pedicure here. The people working were nice and the salon is beautiful, clean and very COVID cautious. The massage chairs were comfortable, service left a little to be desired. My nails look nice, but the bottoms of my feat still have a good amount of dead skin in them that usually is taken care of during a pedicure. What bothered me most is the gal pointed to the tip sign at the end. Of course I tip, and I tip well…but it felt very pushy (tips are also only accepted in cash or check so please come prepared). I did tip, as I always do for services. There was no thank you for the tip or for coming in so it felt awkward.
I called got right in within 20 minutes. I had been there a couple of weeks prior with my granddaughter and we had pedicures. When I went back I wanted to have a manicure and have it match the same color as my toes. They knew which one it was right off the bat. That was incredible since Ive only been in there a few times definitely recommend it
Extra charges for coffin shape and longer nails. They define prices as you go. Only one person (Ben) does dipping. Prices are Woodbury’s highest, nice owners but I’ve had better service at other places. Also the dipping process is unique compared to others. COVID guidelines followed very well! Can’t afford to go back.
I wish I could leave negative stars. I’m so incredibly disappointed in this place! I’ve been here 6 times and I have absolutely loved this place in the past! Ive always gotten acrylic nails, and I’ve never had an issue. but this time I got gel dipped nails, and after 5 days, one fell off and they all have started lifting and cracking. That is absolutely ridiculous! that’s a bad nail job, and instead of offering to fix it and gain a repeat customer, the lady on the phone told me she would charge me for a fill?!? Charge me because you did a bad job and the nails started cracking and falling off? Charge me for a repair because you screwed up?? And then she tries to tell me that’s normal?! Might be normal for you but a well established nail salon wouldn’t call that normal, sorry. I’ve NEVER had an issue with my acrylic nails cracking and falling off after just 5 days!? They’re in a service industry, and customer service is very important to me, and the one time I call to get a repair, I’m told that it’s going to cost me? Please heed my warning and don’t give them your business. I will not be returning.
Very safe, very kind and professional, very relaxing and my pedicure was perfect.
If never had a pedicure before in my life and I’m sure my feet represented that well. Despite the extra efforts, my technician didn’t judge and just allowed me to enjoy the experience. Very spacious, great massage chairs, and they take COVID safety seriously. Highly recommend.
Super clean place and very friendly staff!
It was okay but it felt and smelled a little stuffy and I thought tipping was optional. However, it feels like you have to tip, because they have a sign about how to pay, when tipping or the nail technician will say something and I dont mind tipping but it felt very pushy.Well, thats my 2 cents and Thanks! 😊
Great family business. Very good covid protocols in place to ensure the same great service as always.
Went to 2001 Nails today after having a bad experience at Paradise Nails in Saint Paul. Overall, Im happy with my experience. My almond shape is slightly turned on one side, but the guy that helped me took his time to make sure that the final form looked good. The girl that finished my polish was nice to talk to and very friendly.
Absolutely wonderful nail salon. Super clean, friendly and professional. Felt very safe with all the pecautions they have in place. Highly recommend.
I have been a regular at this nail shop for 20 plus years. I have noticed a shift within the past couple of years of how I am being treated. I am a kind and friendly person who enjoy conversation when I am getting my nails done. Danny, the nail tech who usually does my nails stopped talking to me. Imagine sitting with someone who does not talk to you (Awkward). During my last appointment, I asked him if he could recommend the best products to help my cuticles stay healthy. He ignored my question and barley answered after asking 3 times. Prior to this visit, the owners were on vacation and a family member was running the shop (sister). I asked for a fill and my nails to be shorten. She did a good job with shortening my nails, but the fill was the worst I had ever had. I came back and had her to correct the problem. I got the feeling she was not happy with my complaint about her work. The owner Ben is an excellent nail tech. I enjoy Lily and when she is there, I know that I am going to have good conversation. Even though Danny does not like to talk and not friendly he does good work. I am a psychologist and it is my job to observe behavior. I have noticed that certain people are greeted friendlier than others. You would think that a regular who comes every 3 weeks for the past 20 years plus would be greeted with warmth. The energy towards me certainly has not felt warm and welcoming and I am not sure why. I went to the shop today as a walk in and they were very busy. I made an appointment for later during the day. I gave them my name and cancel the appointment. I was told thanks for canceling, I got to go, we are busy. I was not asked if I would like to reschedule. Today, I went to a different nail shop and it was a refreshing change to be greeted with warmth, kindness, and good conversation. I am sad that it had to end this way. I am giving a 3 because they do good work a large percentage of the time.
Went for the 1st time today and everyone was so lovely. I really felt welcome and relaxed. Love the work my nail tech did...i think her name was Kim but I could be wrong. Will be back!
Very friendly and they do a great job.
Adult manicure was not great. Artist used too much gel polish and my mani lasted four days when I normally get two to three weeks. I went for a manicure/pedicure for my daughter and Benny did an amazing job. I would give him give stars for the service he gave my daughter. I dont recall the name of my nail artist but I would give home two stars.
Best nail spa! Staff is always friendly. Great quality of work and selection of colors.
I was short on time to get my nails done in time for vacation. Luckily I was able to get a signature pedicure and gel manicure done in an hour over lunch. Very relaxing and professionally executed. I usually have a tough time getting a nail tech to do a natural looking nail edge (seems like really round or square are the only choices), but mine was done spot on. Ill be coming back again!
Very nice staff. Clean and open environment. No wait time and convenient location. Perfect pedicure. Thank you so much. I will be coming back.
These ladies are so awesome and sweet, my daughter had the best time and will only go back to them!!!!!! I have been to so many nail salons in Woodbury and this was by far the best! Thank you for being so great at everything you do!! 😁👏🏻
Did a nice job on my pedicure...good price. The only thing I dont like is when the techs talk among themselves in a different language. Are they discussing me? If not why not share it with me too?
I went to 2001 Nails for the first time today and was VERY impressed. Staff was welcoming and the salon was extremely clean! Ive been to other nail salons where theyve done a pretty good job of keeping things clean, but I was so impressed with this place! Tools and tubs were sanitized, I had no questions or concerns about that at all. Danny did a great job with my pedicure and was very sweet. Ill definitely be back!
I have been going here for years and have had great experiences each time. The environment is clean and comfortable. The staff are kind and respectful. The quality of work is exceptional and long lasting.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt that I had to for this one. My dear friend and coworker treat ourselves after a long day at work to spa pedicures. Wed been to 2001 Nails three times. Well, it is three strikes, you are out. I had the owner of the salon as the person who sat me for the pedicure. He brought me to my seat the first and third times we went. Each time, he commented, See? We got bigger chairs for you. Nice. Bigger chairs. Now, I am not a tiny flower by any means, but who on earth wants to hear that when they are getting a beauty service? First time, I thought I mustve misheard. Next time, it was confirmed. At the same time, my friend gets verbally scolded by her nail tech for cutting her own toenails between pedicures, and left with MULTIPLE bleeding areas on her feet. Before that, wed gotten good pedicures, and it was almost worth the rudeness. But now, with so many other salons offering good pedicures, it simply is not worth the fight with these people to be treated with respect.
The nail tech was very nice. A clean and friendly place. I will be back as this was my first time
I have been going to 2001 Nails in Woodbury for 17 years. I wouldnt go anywhere else. I adore, Kim, Ben and Lily and have watched a Ben and Kims daughter grow up and is now at University. I enjoy the family atmosphere of the shop.I have never had a bad experience. My pedicures are vital to the well being of my feet and their work is the best.I am a consumer who expects the service I pay for and font often give rave reviews but the Woodbury location has mine!!!
My bridal party and I went here the day before my wedding. What a fun and positive experience! They have a very wide variety of colors. Everyone chose their colors and was helped fairly quickly. Once we were in our chairs, they brought our a bottle of champagne! What a fun surprise and neat way to celebrate! The pedicure was by far, the best I have ever had. I was so impressed. I decided to try gel polish for my manicure and it turned out beautifully. Everyone working at the salon was very friendly!
Love this nail place. Been going here for years. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Clean, good prices...
Ive been coming here since I was 14, over 10 years! They do a very nice job and its my favorite place to get a pedicure. I always request Lily, because she is so nice and friendly and shes very precise and does such a great job :)
Took my daughter to get her first pedi. They was super nice with her. It was my first time coming here also. It was amazing service. There was a wait time, but its a nail shop so thats expected
The bag that held the instruments for trimming toenails had not been sterilized. I work at a dental office and I know that a sterilized bag should not have pink and blue arrows on them after sterilization. Beware of infection!
I have been going here for 17 years, the family is lovely. I was in Miami and had one, it didn’t hold a candle in comparison, I will never cheat on my team of pedi experts again!!!!
Very nice and clean place! And staff was very friendly. Got a signature Pedicure. He didnt massage my feet and legs long at all. And the polish was on my skin. So I have mixed feelings. Id probably go back again and hope for someone else.
I wish I could leave negative stars. I’m so incredibly disappointed in this place! I’ve been here 6 times and I have absolutely loved this place in the past! The people are so thorough and kind too! This is the only place I’ll go. They’re exceptionally clean, and truly kind people. Plus they always do a perfect job.
A nice young man gave me a gel manicure and it looks amazing! He did a wonderful job. However, a different lady gave me a pedicure and it seemed super rushed. She was rude and sped through the whole thing, despite that we were the only guests in the whole salon. All she did was trim my cuticles and shape my toe nails, then very sloppily painted my toes. She never even gave me a foot/lower leg massage even though that was one of the services highlighted in the pedicure package I asked for, and she still charged me for it. When I got home I took a closer look, and they look awful. You can tell the clear coat only covers about half the nail and you can see that the coats aren’t even at all. Very upset with the pedicure so will never go back to them.
Ashley does an amazing cat eye!
Not very happy with the service provided to me by the older woman. She didnt listen to what I wanted and was trying to convince me of what I was looking at was wrong. She was also trying to charge me extra for medium length nails and cut my nails at a length i didnt want or say yes to. My polish had bubbles in it and the bottom portion towards my cuticle looks like a kid could have painted it. I will not be going back. My friend had a good nail tech, a younger gentleman so her turned out well.
My mother and I went to get our nails done since we had coupons for a gel polish. The lady who did my nails continually suggested a manicure which I said I didn’t want because it wasn’t included in my coupon. Some of my nails were filed with a curve and some with a flat surface. Then I chose 3 colors with no design just 3 colors on different nails. When she was done painting she charged me $5 more for a so called design service fee since I choose 3 colors. Then noticed that some of my nails weren’t solid in color and could see my nail underneath in spots. Safe to say I won’t be going back.
Professional - cleanliness with tools - quality results!
Loved It! Only place that Ive been too that does good stiletto nails.
Calling MN board of cosmetology. Dont let the shiny interior fool you. I went for a full set of acrylics and a pedicure. What I got was cut, dirty tools, and lifting nails after the 2nd day. Praying I dont get some kind of funk or worse. I originally picked this location based on review.... They have got to be doing there own reviews.I watched 3 different times to be exact, that they do not sanitize the pedicure stations, merely rinse with water and wipe with the same dirty towel the feet were on. They do not use liners as stated on the website. The older lady, I believe her name is Lilly, cut me twice with the electric file and drew blood, glued part of the acrylic nail to my skin, witch ripped it, and was not very into listening to me.To top it off she pulled the foam toe separators off, and took them along with her cuticle cutters, nail clippers, and file and put them away back in her drawer to use on the next person!!!!I spoke to the owner who wouldnt give me a refund or the time of day. I showed him my separating nails and he said thats normal?!!!! Can we say infection?!!! Oh and he made a point of saying everyone was licensed when that was not even relevant to the conversation. Funny thing was his license was the only one showing by the register. STAY AWAY!!!!
At first, it was pleasant, then, the pushing for more expensive treatments became annoying. The hand massage felt more like slapping to get it out of the way and the manicure fell apart the next day. Bad manicure and I wont start on the pedicure. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Go somewhere else
Dip powder manicure, my polish chipped on 2nd day. I went back to get it fixed and instead of redoing the whole nail he patched the spot and blamed the issue on my natural nails and not on their service. On top of that, I just noticed another nail is beginning to chip as well.I’ve never had this happen with dip powder manicures from any other salon. Definitely not worth the money!
I went to get my nails done after my other acrylics from Tams nails come off and the lady rushed me and chose my color for me and i hated the color. she chose my shape and didn’t even ask it was painful and my nails are box shaped. do not recommend at all.
Gel manicure, my polish chipped on 4th day. I went back to get it fixed and instead of redoing the whole nail he patched the spot and blamed the issue on my thin nails and not on their service. Also by the 7th day the polish is peeling at the base of every nail. This should not happen using the gel process unless they didnt apply it correctly or their products are old.Pedicure, the service was very rushed and messy. I had polish on my skin on multiple toes. Somehow I got cut on one of my toes and it burned through out the rest of the pedicure. By the 7th day the polish is chipped as well. Definitely not worth the money! The only thing I enjoyed was their Awesome music!
Always friendly and do a great job!
I used to go and take my girls for mani/pedi, but not anymore. I found out from my older daughter, that Ben (one of the owners), made comments about her physical appearance. That is so inexcusable. I am disappointed that I let my kids sit across from me during this appointment and wasnt able to be in the conversation to stop it. It is never okay for someone to make any sort of comments regarding the way my child looks. Be very wary.
Very clean facility very nice staff and very talented, I would recommend this place the prices are very respectful as well
They do a nice job.
Best nail techs in Woodbury!
Unfortunately there was no leg massage. i basically paid 29 dollars for a toe trim and toenail polish. i was disappointed because they werent busy.
Went here on my birthday and had an awesome experience. Very friendly employees, but not the best pedicure Ive had. Theres paint around my nails and they did not scrub very well. Although the appointment was a little rushed since they were squeezing me in between two clients. I didnt feel that the massage for the signature mani/pedi was worth it. Next time I will make an appointment! Still a lovely place.
Great work by the staff. Always a good experience.
Very friendly and did a good job
Kim is terrific, great job
Awesome! The pedicures are amazing and it is reasonably priced too! I come back all the time!
One of the best pedicures I ever had
Best in town
Amazing
