Love this gym! Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is no pool. Obviously a nit-pick, but I really hope one day Edge gyms consider adding one in, then it’d be stellar!

Oh wow. i was thinking about rejoining this gym for me & my son but after reading the reviews, it bought me back to the time i canceled my membership with this gym the 1st time around. there were hoops i had to go through and additional fees i had to pay. its such a shame cause the gym itself is such a good gym but your financial company, ABC financial is trash. TO OVERHEAD when your contract is up with this ABC financial group, you really need to reconsider a different finance company. you have too many customers complaining about the same problem. once that happens then we can talk about me rejoining. good luck to you.

Edge Fitness is extremely clean and well maintained. The staff are always incredibly friendly. The only issue is that it gets very busy at peak times, but thats the result of having a great gym for a great price.

It was impossible to cancel because of covid. You have to jump over multiple hurdles and constantly reach out to a 3rd party group who claims they need several weeks to resolve your issue. They do not contact you back unless you constantly hound them again. I tried cancelling three times (they told me they cancelled the first two but kept charging me) until they finally told me I needed a doctors note that stated a medical condition that prevented me from having a membership as Covid wasnt good enough. We werent comfortable coming to this gym before the vaccines and felt scammed by an evil corporation that only cares about money. Not renewing my contract when it ends.

I come into the gym almost every day to work out. The service is excellent and the staff is always friendly. The manager Brie is helpful, she helped me out with an issue I had in no time and I was able to get back to my workout!

My trainer is the best. James is very professional and knowledgeable at his job. The gains I have seen in such a short time are ridiculous. He took my training to the next level. Best trainer I have ever had. Thanks James. SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOESHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOE

I went here for 2.5 years and ended up cancelling my membership after they never reopened the sauna following COVID-19.You pay for a premium gym, you expect premium features such as the sauna, which was one of the only reasons I joined Edge. They shut it down due to COVID, which is understandable, but then keep it shut down even as cases have fallen?Let people make their own decisions and use the sauna at their own discretion. At least give a discount on the membership if you’re going to remove certain features of the gym without warning.Other than that fiasco, this gym is great and has great equipment. If they reopen the sauna I would consider rejoining.

The Deptford location has terrible customer service. We were given incorrect information by Taylor regarding the benefits associated with one of their packages. Due to this misinformation, we elected a plan that did not have Spin class or access to the Women’s lounge. After we identified the issue, we brought it to the managers attention and she advised that it wasn’t their fault and the employee that signed us up was not to be blamed.The correct approach would have been to apologize for the miscommunication and advise the issue will be discussed with the General manager rather than not taking accountability.

Great place to workout even during the pandemic. Everyone is always friendly. There is a lot to offer here including certified personal trainers.

The Edge you need a swimming pool bad and the women section needs air cool air oxygen and the movie theater need up-to-date movies why have you not bought the building next to you explained

The “manager” Bree is VERY unprofessional when speaking to me about a dispute I had with “miscommunication” that the employee Taylor provided. She sounded offended that I questioned her about information that was incorrectly provided to me. Her exact words were - “you can’t be mad at her (Taylor) because she miscommunicated what you were receiving with your renewal.” Oh and BTW, Taylor and Bree both argued me down that I never resigned with Deptford but Washington TWP! When I said that wasn’t true, all of a sudden they saw something in their computer that once again showed they were wrong! I’m so over the weirdness with their staff!

Im a bigger guy and went here to try the equipment out. Went to the cardio theater and all of the treadmills I tried would slip when I ran on them. Usually means they arent maintained well. Then I went to the big treadmills in the front, the TV was broken, so it just didnt seem the cardio equipment is well Kept. All the weight equipment worked... So they got that going for them

Place is a nightmare to get out of. I paid for a friends account and now when I try to pull my card off they give me a run around and say only owner of the account can do that. I signed non of the paperwork but they act like I’m under contract with them. Called my credit card company and told them to block payment. 10 months later and they changed their vender ID so they could still charge my card. Absolute dirt bags. Still haven’t resolved anything

I been coming for over 3 years, pay like 30/40 a month, and last week I bought a bottle of water, and they said they will put it on card that they have on the file. But today Brianna or Brittany(lied about her name) said I can’t workout today with paying $2.50(very rudely) front of a guest of mine. I requested if I can pay next time I come cus i didn’t have my wallet with me but she denied.

Good gym while a member if you enjoy working out. Other than that this place is terrible. They continue to charge your account monthly even after your membership ends. They make it next to impossible to cancel. Theyll throw you through hoops to get your money back. Don’t waste your money

Trying to cancel my membership has been a nightmare ... you can’t force people to come to the gym when they don’t feel comfortable due to COVID. Stay Far away from this Gym. I will finish my contract not because I want to but because you have made it difficult to cancel. I will Make it my mission to tell everyone I know And share on social media to not sign up for your gym. They value money over people.

This company lore you in with lies but they have a million hidden fees in their contract. So be careful . Also when you need to sit and talk about your billing in detail with any one in charge. No one is ever available. The people available to you is the ones that only knows how to say . I dont know. I feel very scam by this gym. In one single month they took 223 dollars from my bank account. My membership supost to be 32. 33 the most. I dont know what king of fees are they charging but to bring it up to over 200 must be a scam.. watch out. And good luck on your search hopely this review helps on your decision.

So here is the deal. I followed my husband military order and move to ft Bragg for his new duty station. I called ABC Financial to cancel my membership due to no location available in North Carolina. I was told that my account would be charge for the last month of 12 dollars then it would be canceled. 1 month later my account was finally pending canceled but I was charged an additional 28 dollar with no clear explanation. Avoid this kind of club at all cost.

I have been going to the edge in Deptford N J. since it opened a couple years ago. I think its great. They have everything I need.

They won’t let anyone cancel the membership during COVID. You don’t have to pay for 3 months and then pay more monthly after that to pay for those 3 months. You are stuck in a contract for a year. It’s a shame because I really liked this gym.

Stay away from the gym at all cost. Extremely inconsiderate to their customers. This pandemic showed how much they value money over the customers.

To cancel the membership, they told me I have to make 3 phone calls, send multiple emails, and jump through another 25 hoops. Ridiculous. Doug the manager refuses to listen and was plain rude. Still waiting on that $150 refund.

They are horrible when it comes to communication..they always state they are here for ppl. But they are not..before covid I treated very unfair. I feel if I wasent black it would not have happen to me..I spent almost a$1000 dollars before covid and now after covid they never sent a letter or email stating when payments were going to begin again..then im told I cant cancel..by far the worst gym..and I dont recommend noone to join..all they care about is money. This type care on people is not going to make this gym successful I am beyond disappointed and I will never join this gym ever again.

I was instructed to sign up for the Voorhees location at the deptford location. The club stated they would switch the home gym once opened. Now that Covid hit, they are not opening the Voorhees location until 2021. The kids club is not open and I am unable to go to the gym without childcare and restricted hours. They will only allow a 3 month freeze, and not cancel the membership with this huge inconvenience. Very poor customer service in regards to not being passive with the scenarios that have come up with COVID. The club can not provide a full service that was originally agreed to.

I like the gym in general, I came from Planet Fitness and I like that the space is a lot more open, the classes they offer, and all the other amenities. Their phone calling practices can be a little obnoxious but I get it, it’s their job.My only main complaints would be that they do not seem like they’re always forthcoming with information that I would like to be aware of. I have Edge Total and when I was looking at my account info, I noticed my membership fee was going to be increased by an extra 5 bucks (to allow you to cancel at any time, they charge that fee). Not a huge deal in theory, but it would have been nice to have been notified my yearly contract was up, as opposed to trying to guess what this mysterious increase was. Sure, it’s in the sign up agreement, but being realistic, some things should just be told to their members upfront or at least remind them of it.Secondly, my boyfriend and I were working out together in this location when a trainer approached me and said that to the other trainers in the building, it looked like he (my boyfriend) was my personal trainer and that it wasn’t allowed. We had to be doing the same workouts. My gripe with this is that had these trainers actually been paying attention, they could clearly see that we were working out together a majority of our visit, but he felt he was going to pull something so he stopped. I continued, and he was mostly on his phone next to me, and gave me one suggestion of an exercise I could try. I have no problem with the rule itself (I’m sure the trainers get commission for their programs) but the whole ordeal rubbed me the wrong way.

Best gym in decades. cls easily be 50 month

Gym has a nice layout, its clean and the equipment is in good repair. But much of this has to do with the newness. Staff are friendly. However, theyre quite overcrowded on weekends and after work (not necessarily unexpected but seemingly unplanned for given the limited number of machines and benches considering size and member volume). And, Im less than impressed with the hours. Decent value for the money if you can exercise patience.

I was so excited to join Edge. When I signed up, the staff were friendly, the place was clean, and I was really excited for the classes. I completed the free personal training that comes with the membership and decided to sign up for personal training because they were running a deal for 50%off of one month. I only wanted the one month to get a better feel of the trainings to see if I would actually like it and be able to commit to it, but I had to agree to at least 2 months. I ended up doing that.Since trying to formally cancel my membership for the two months, I have had the worst experience. The management here is rude, does not return phone calls, and each tells a different story. I have been given the run around for over a month and I am still getting charged for personal training after being told no more payments would be coming out of my account!I am sure that if I had not signed up for the personal training my review would be much different. However, now it is what it is. It is unfortunate as I am now so disgusted that upon finally getting to speak to a manager, I will be cancelling my membership. Additionally, on the day I tried to cancel the personal training membership, my fiance joined to be able to come to the gym with me, but to have the ability to come on his own as well, and he will be cancelling his membership as well. They have lost two customers due to their incompetence and just blatant disregard for a customer who just wanted this resolved. It is now clear to me that to the management at Edge you are not a person, you are a dollar sign!

This has been the best gym I have ever been a member of! I use to go to Planet Fitness and I really didnt love their environment or policies there. So when my boyfriend and I moved we check out LA Fitness, Giant Fitness, and Edge Fitness and Edge just blew us away. Everyone who works here is so nice and has such good energy. There is no judgment and everyone here really wants to help you get to your goal and be a part of your fitness journey. I love how Edge has such a motivating environment, I love how there is a cinema in the gym, and so many other cool and creative things to make the gym for everyone!

I was just rudely accosted by an employee, Chelsea, at the front desk.My daughter has the Edge Total membership. This allows one guest to accompany her (i.e me). As we walk in my daughter opens her app and scans her membership code. Immediately after, an employee loudly asks me if I have a membership. I explained that I am my daughters guest. The employee (Chelsea) raises her voice louder and states that she needs to see my ID before I can workout with my daughter. She then turns to my daughter and asks if she has a membership that allows guests. My daughter scanned her membership code in front of her on our way in!Employee further explained that I must leave my ID at the front desk when I come with my daughter to work out and pick it up on my way out the door. My daughter has had her membership since December and we were never told about this ID policy. I dont have any qualms with policy. What I object to is being treated like a criminal.During the discussion the employee went from loud talking to shouting the same phrase over and over. Its not crowded today so its safe to say she was on the verge of making a scene. I felt very uncomfortable.She asked another employee to help check me in. The second employee was able to explain the ID policy in a lower tone which helped but employee Chelsea was still at the desk shouting the same phrases over and over as the other employee was checking my ID. This was not only disrespectful but also inappropriate. It felt like Chelsea was purposefully drawing attention to my daughter and I.Overall, this gym needs a better check in system/policy that is more inclusive and doesnt make their guests feel like criminals.

Best gym hands down, always going above and beyond with cleaning and sanitation. And now even more since covid struck the world.

I want to give this gym a five star but its been months now that I signed up and they are still not open yet. The people was helpful when I came in to sign up, I was pumped and ready to go, but here it is almost November and I am still waiting for it to open. And side note I see they hit my checking account but did not take any money out, but I would like an heads up on that. Thank you very much and hope to see you all pretty soon

I wish I could give this place no stars at all.I was very excited to go to this gym up until I figured out that they just want your money. I was planning to go to the Cherry Hill location since the Deptford location was relatively far from where I live, but I wanted to see what this gym had to offer anyway.At the preview center, they offered to match the membership price of Cherry Hills pre-sale membership price. My friends and I agreed, given that the MEMBERSHIP ADVISOR told US that we would NOT be charged until we step foot into the gym. But, we DID get charged even though we had never once signed into this gym.We went over to speak to a manager who basically laughed in our face and told us that he will not be refunding for the month. After arguing back and forth from the horrible communication the staff have, he then said that he will void the next months fee until the Cherry Hill gym opens and we go there.I then get a job offer in NY and move in with my aunt, who will pay for my rent. Since I was not able to go to this gym anymore, I spoke to a young lady on the phone who was relaying the message to the manager (since for some reason, he was not able to pick up the phone and talk to me himself.. again, NO communication), who said that I could send a mail from my old residence to my new place in NY as my proof of address. So I did, and brought it back to the gym today.I spoke to John G, who said that I was not able to use this as my proof of address. Why was I not told this in the first place? Why are there so many contradictory statements being told to their members? I told him I spoke with someone here who told me that this was sufficient and he still did not proceed with my cancellation. He pulled up a random number of $60 to pay to cancel my membership and I did so, because this place has absolutely no communication and I do not want to attend a gym that tells its members different things. The men that work there are so rude and probably have no idea what is going on. I am so happy I cancelled.These guys just want your money and will take advantage of you. All they care about is money. They do not adhere to employee needs or care for their members at all. Definitely do not suggest signing up with them.

Compared LA Fitness and Planet, decided to join here with a strong focus on weight training with a knowledgeable staff and very clean with lots of classes like Yoga and Spinning!

I love this gym they have smoothies and supplements... the supplements are a bit pricey and if u want a personal trainer that can also be expensive but very nice gym state of the art equipment massage chairs and tanning booth

My friend and I have been coming to the Deptford location since it opened. I have no complaints. Really like the women’s area especially when doing certain floor exercises. We’ve had nothing but positive and helpful interactions with the staff, and the shakes are great.I highly recommend for anyone looking for a gym to join.

Hasnt opened yet - but I have signed up at the preview center and they were very helpful. Also, contrary to the last post - they are almost a completely 24 hour gym (or so we were told). There are a few hours on Sunday night (I believe) they are closed. Cant wait for the gym to open - hoping I can keep my 5 star review.

Very nice gym. There is a large variety of gym equipment. There are also classes galore. The gym is clean. The hours are convenient. I wish it was 24/7. Customer service is on point. The staff great you when you enter. Jennifer was kind enough to call and email me when I had a question. I really appreciate that.

Overall I love it here but there’s just one issue but I’m just knit picking here. I go to order a shake and they punch open your straw for you. There’s one guy there in particular who will do that for everyone else and not me, he expects me to do it and when I hand him my membership card to pay with my card on file it almost seems like he snatches it out of my hand when I give it to him. Idk this persons name but it’s kinda rude on both ends if you ask me..... 😒😒😒

Absolutely love this gym. It is the first one I feel comfortable going to alone. The training staff is amazing and the group classes are fun. I just wish some of the classes I would be interested in trying worked with my schedule.

I wanted to wait until the gym actually opened to rate it. It really is a great gym. Yes they are lacking some things; pool, overhead pull down machine, racquet ball, basketball. But, for the price its an incredible place. The staff is amazing, the environment is perfect, and it really is almost the perfect place to workout.

I’d been in too many gyms and this place by far the best place I’d been in. Staffs are great and very welcoming and they always keep this place clean. I love that they have a lot of options to work out to and if you have kids you can definitely drop off your kids and they too can be active and accommodate them also by staffs. Such convenient place all around. Keep up the good work Edgefitness team

It’s not Edge’s fault you signed up when you felt motivated and gave up on your goals and now don’t want to be charged anymore. Tough. You signed a contract. Have some respect for yourself.Awesome, clean facility, friendly staff, never over crowded. 10/10 recommend. Great value.

This facility gives you a lot of gym for your money! Memberships start as low as $9.99! They have an amazing number and variety of classes on their group exercise schedule! Theres something for everyone! I love their shake/smoothie bar too!

The worest experience with edge when they told me there is no entollment fee and they charge me enrollment fee, it is low money but they must be clear enoughWhen i told my freinds they said they meet with them the same bad experience even they will charge you more 50$ cleaning fee each year without any permissionIf they told us we do mot mind at all as it is low money but they cheat usI will swivh to somewhere else after the end of the year

Beautiful gym with a lot to offer even at the lower membership fee. With that being said it’s an extremely over crowded gym basically at any convenient time. For those reasons I’d give the gym 4 stars, but cancelling my membership at the end of it’s 1 year agreement has been way more of a headache than necessary. Between the Company handling it’s finances and Edge i’ve been on hold for over 20 minutes and told different things. Whoever I’m on the phone with just tells me to contact the other, neither apparently have the clearance to do anything for you. Great gym if you plan on never canceling.

I dont typically leave reviews but after the terrible customer service Ive had with them I felt the need to. I signed up for the Deptford location when I lived about 10 minutes away. I signed up online and thought it was like any other gym membership. Nope. When I moved the closest gym was a 20 mile, 35 minute toll drive away. They REFUSED to let me cancel my membership unless I paid over $400 for the rest of the year. Their policy states you have to move to a location more than 15 miles away and they claimed my new residence was only 14.1 miles away. I would have to climb over buildings and drive through fields for it to be 14.1. They are incredibly difficult to deal with and I personally would advise against it. LA fitness or even planet fitness are better options in my opinions, plus their gyms are overcrowded and too showy.

I loveee this gym. Always super clean, always kept very neat, everyone that works there is awesome and easy to talk to. My ONLY thing is, I pay for the membership that includes the women’s only area, which I LOVE. However, there’s no squat rack or even at least a smiths machine in there! Which honestly blows my mind because the first thing I would consider putting in a women’s only area is a squat rack. If you could add one in there, even if it means taking some of the machines out, that’d be pretty awesome. Doing those machines on the main floor is a lot less stressful than using squat racks, from a woman’s perspective. :)

Ditched my dinky gym for this one and so far have been to super fun Zumba, challenging kickboxing and yoga. I absolutely love the classes and the cinema room is freaking awesome, plus they play movies I actually like such as Star Wars and Lord of the Rings! Girls locker room is clean and spacious!

Be very careful signing up for Edge Fitness. The staff is great and the facility is nice, but we were lied to several times when signing up. We signed our contract in November before it opened, were told the gym was 24/7, and that after 3 months the cancellation fee was $50. The gym is not 24/7, they close very early on Fri, Sat, and Sun nights which are the only nights I have time to go. Go to end the renewal and they tell us were in contract til the end of January (1 year contract turns into 15 months?) and our cancellation fee is $85. I cant even go to this gym and im stuck paying for it until February of next year

Good energy, staff is very welcoming. Plate management is horrendous, they removed the plate trees so all the weights are loaded on the hammer strength equipment in a haphazard way

My boyfriend and I came into the gym today very hopeful about joining. He is a personal trainer and in sales at one gym and we are both members of another. When we walked in a large group of trainers were posing by the front and asking us which one wed pick for a tour. My bf said that he didnt want a sales pitch; he just wanted to walk around the gym to see if they had what he needed. The trainers laughed and said that wasnt how this worked so he said that he would leave then because he didnt want the pressure.They laughed again and said Ok bye. Youre weird. Bye. For a gym that just opened and is looking for new members, Id think youd employ some trainers that were professional and werent rude. Weve been to quite a few gyms that will let you just look around quickly. Guess we will be staying where we are at! Very disappointed.

Everything I need, coming from giant that isnt a bad gym but little worn, this gun is fresh and everything is perfect, now machines I need, the weights are heavier and the main point that I need is a sauna, I got the $20 membership and it comes with the massage chair and tanning thought Id never use but after tonight, man that thing is good and the water massage table is sick as well. Great gym, allot of juice heads just expect that lol.

I stopped by in July for the Grand Opening enrollment. They were way too aggressive and told me that they were not offering discounted memberships after July. WELL, its November and the gym is still not opened. I was also turned off when told that a $45 fee will be attached each February into the membership for the cleaning and maintenance of the gym. What a turn off!!! No membership should include any additional fee for maintaining the facility. The only way I would join this gym is if they offer a free 3 day trial pass like any contractual membership generously provides.If they cannot offer a free trial pass, then they are just another cookie cuter facility that will squeeze you into a contract requiring you to secure an attorney to get out of.

Unable to cancle without 30 days written notice to some BS 3rd party billing company. When i signed my contract I had full access to the gym and all its amenities. Now I cant even work out do to the hour changes, no showers, no sauana, wear a mask, etc. This is NOT what people signed up for. I know you guys didnt pass these crazy guidelines but you should LET PEOPLE CANCLE because of these changes. It is not what I signed up for. Now you are stealing my money.

The womens locker room smells gross. Cant use pad locks on most of the lockers. An their water fountain had crud/rubbish left on it.Ive been to way better locations.

They will spam you with texts/calls for years unless you tell them to delete your phone number. Will never sign up to a business that abuses your contact info in that way.

Love this gym!! Staff are super friendly! I like the dumbell rack.. The sauna is beautiful.. The one downfall is no bumper plates.. The plates are an odd shape to do deadlifts... Etc. Get those and, the gym is, a, 10!!

I just wanted to say my wife and I am very impressed with the EDGE, We left a local gym that was a few dollars less per month however at the EDGE we get so much more for only a few dollars more - so many different classes, cleaner environment, better locker rooms, new equipment i cant say enough or ask for anything more - thank you

Called to cancel my membership, manager told me to call back in a month to cancel. Popped in to cancel and was told I had to call a 3rd party billing company to cancel. Was then told I have to send an email to cancel and had to give 30 days notice. Was not told this when I called and talked to a manager. They really try to give you the run around so you don’t cancel.

Love the gym but its SO crowded all the time. One of my favorite area is the movie theater and sauna. My only suggestion is that the movies should be played with subtitles as the noise from cardio machines can make it hard to hear.

Decent smaller gym. Packed during the afternoon, less crowded at night. Seems like there is tons of wasted space in that place. Movie cinema seems like a waste of space...always empty.Deducted two stars as i was told it was 24/7 by the front desk prior to signing up, but they are closed fri, sat and sunday nights. Yes, they did have hours posted on the door, but i assumed that meant those were staffed hours. It did not.Signup was rough, they refused to honor the coupon that was mailed to my house. Told me it was only valid on the top tier monthly plan, but nowhere on the advertisement did it say that. Eventually got the signup fee removed, but it wasnt worth the hassle.

Edge fitness and their billing system is not on the same page. I was mislead by one of their employees regarding my contract. Said I wished to cancel and he said it was done however they were still charging me for months including the annual fee. They’re refusing to provide a refund even though it was an error in their part. Very unprofessional.

The gym is always clean and the staff are friendly!! I love going to the gym!!

Whats so hard about making it truly 24/7??? Just make it 24 hours in the weekends. So what? Were all counting on you to do that.
