The Woodbury YMCA offers many great options to help us with our physical health and fitness. They are conveniently located. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The facilities are kept clean. We highly recommend them to others in the area.

Everyone at the Y are the best. Great communicators. Very clean. Classes are great. The Y was very in tune with Covid issues and did an excellent job of keeping its patrons safe. Best place ever.

The front desk staff is amazing. I really like the customer service.

Friendly staff, well-laid out instructions on how to keep safely distanced. Childrens area was nice for my two boys to play while I attended a group fitness class. Linda (instructor) was welcoming and led the class well. Thank you!

This particular location is a bit small. Not much to it. Most basic of gyms pretty much.

Friendly staff and patrons. Excellent group exercise instructors. So glad to find a new local Y after recently relocating from out of state.

Nice space and equipment. Open floor plan with screaming kids in the basketball gym is very loud all the time. Good opportunity for the kids, pain for everyone else.

Been going here for years...the facility is always clean and has gotten better over the years with new equipment, and updated elliptical machines, and everything has a screen on it for you to watch whatever while your working out which is nice. They also provide towels for members which I really appreciate, and the staff are all pretty nice.

Not very busy right now. Easy to get on equipment, equipment is alternated/spaced out. Several classes back on schedule, plenty of space to spread out in class.

Best part is the aquatics center. Jordan, a supervisor there, got my brother who has autism to willingly go under water after just one private lesson. He is receptive and respectful and a wonderful teacher.

Its okay. Small location, though Ive only every been to two other ones. Itd be nice to see the YMCA in its own location and a lot bigger. YMCA, Please look into getting a new location for Woodbury!

This is a busy Y. Sometimes it is hard to find a parking space during peak class times. Sometimes the yoga classes are so full it is hard to find a spot to put your mat. They could really stand to expand the space. But, it is clean and the instructors are top notch. They have an amazing variety of classes, too, for adults of all ages. I dont know about the childrens offerings because I have no young kids. I think it is a bit pricey but maybe it is in the same ballpark as other gyms around here, I havent checked any other gym because I like this Y. Nice pool. Not enough ladies toilets. (Are there ever?). Sometimes the front desk staff are not the friendliest and are rather standoffish. Other times the front desk staff are very welcoming. I guess it depends on who is staffing the reception area.

The pool staff are all helpful and friendly!

I was looking to get the consistency and momentum working out I tried other gyms in Woodbury and nothing compares to YMCA NOTHING YMCA the best gym in Woodbury state of the art equipment incredible staff and enjoy working out again keep up the great work. Worth the money trust me!

Love this YMCA, very clean and friendly.I get there earlier in the day so theres more children at the daycare. Has a pool with a slide. Also attached is a library with a inside walk with trees and a water spring.

Preschool: We sent our son here and are planning to send our daughter here as well. Friendly, helpful staff, the admission rates are reasonable, and theres always plenty of fun things for them to do. My son loved it and Im sure our daughter will also.

I love stopping here when I am in town. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have everything you need and more for a great workout and afterward.

The new YMCA is corporate sponsored but sounds like a members only yuppie outlet. They dont answer questions about discount issues for employer/employees programs well. But nice gym. Too Pricey

Jordan Peterson is the best. From CPR certification to swim lessons with the little guy.

We go here for swim lessons only. Front desk staff is always friendly and swim instructors are great! 4 stars only because I havent seen the entire facility.

I like the place not so much on the lifesaver team at the pool special the team manager Jordan very disrespectful he needs more training.

Bad..experience. How do you suppose to get in?I trying using guest pass, my partner forgot her ID and said we will pay for one day and the girl in the front also said we cant! How do we get in then??? Drove 20 minutes for nothing. Never going back again.Cant believe this.

Not happy with this place. Went in and right away smelled as if no one was wearing deodorant. From the entrance right through to the pool...THE POOL! The smell overtook the chlorine of the pool. Okay... I know there is a gym and a place to workout and an aroma is expected. I have been to many gyms around the U.S. and most all smell of sweat and musky but this one smells like no one uses deodorant. If this place was to enforce the deodorant rule then more people would probably join.

This place is a one stop shop for several activities. The enviroment is nice and warm . The workers are very hospitable. . I can spend my whole day here .

Needs updating, more family and open swim, needs a tension pool and sauna. Great location.

I drove 40 minutes with my children and niece. I get there and the staff tell me about a new policy that was just implemented. The policy is a parent has to come sign paperwork for their child to come in and use the pool. Fine. My issue is the staff NEVER mentioned a policy like this a week before when I was there with my niece, I never got a blast email stating a new policy would be taking effect for visitors to have their parent sign paperwork. Thats ridiculous and they need to run their business better. Take my money but you cant use our services kind of place. Nice.

The gym is very busy. This isnt a place to go if you are trying to get a basketball workout in. Sometimes people will run games though so if you want to play you can go here. This just isnt a place to practice hooping.

Clean gym but a little small. The equipment is newer. No hot tub and very few showers in the mens locker room.

Swim lessons for kids are fantastic. The swim directors really pay attention to each child and figure out the best fit for classes.

I am a member of the Y and have been for a short time. I mey stop for one reason... every time I go there it smells like armpit. I can understand if youre at the gym and you smell sweat and body oder but the smell is everywhere. It smells in the pool area, basketball court, sitting area. Either deodorize the air or start telling some people to put on deodorant. I even smell the same smell even on those that didnt even have a workout.

Convenient and you feel welcomed at the Y. Unlike other fitness centers you dont get that uneasy feeling of being judged by the way you look when meeting new people!

As far as YMCAs go it is a very small one. They do make good use of the space but they could improve the pool area.

I like working out at the Y, and this one is great because they have a running track! But they have carpet in the locker rooms which makes it smelly and unsanitary.

Was dangerous when it came to the waterslide. A severely disabled young man ran up the steps to the top where my son was (who as 6 at the time and fairly small), and pushed his way past my son to go down. Since they took away the lifeguard at the top of the stairs, my son could have very easily been tossed over the side by this young man. Scary! I filed complaints, called the police - nothing. I now go to Lifetime Fitness and take the kids to Lakeville for a fun and safe time.

I love going here early in the morning, not too crowded.

Clean family friendly gym. A little smaller than I would have thought though, they could benefit from expanding. I tend to go during peak hours in the mornings and after work and never have had an issue with getting onto a cardio machine or using the free weights. Weight machines do get a little busy most of the time, but still a short wait is all thats needed. They have added some new equipment as of late in the weights area that had been helpful. I think they could still get a few other pieces but would need a little more space for that. The basketball court could use an expansion as it tends to fill up at times and it sometimes is hard to play, but that hasnt been something Ive run into consistently yet. The kids staff had been great with our little guy. They keep him busy and entertained and find us only when needed. Wifi has been great for me. Have had 1 maybe 2 issues in the few months Ive been there when streaming videos while running. Overall one of the better ys Ive been to, but could benefit from some more space.

I wanna take a swim. The hours are ridiculous! Its currently 2:07 in the morning and I word really love to swim. But you know I cant cause the freakin place 4 hours ago! This is stupid. This place needs to be open 24/7 especially the pool!

Horrible ! HORRIBLE ! The worst YMCA Ive ever been to in my life . Unprofessional staff, outdated equipment ! Doesnt work with other YMCA memberships . If you are from another YMCA you only get 14 visits and after that youre declined until you switch and get a membership with them. Honestly they should just close the place . I defiantly will be calling corporate on them and complaining ! Just a tip for them : You should start working like other gyms and allowing people who have a YMCA MEMBERSHIP use your gym as well since its still a YMCA membership. I wouldnt recommend this facility to anyone .
