They have made dental appointments enjoyable again. The atmosphere here is like no other, friendly service with a passion for your pearly whites. Dr. Do (Brent) and Mimi filled my cavities today. They kept ensuring I was comfortable and went beyond by explaining what was being done. It is really the small things sitting in the dentist chair...these guys are amazing!! Then on my way out Jhoy who has worked with me to get my many appointments in with my busy schedule, is very efficient and reliable. She is really nice and patient with you.

I had a cleaning appointment and it was such a good experience. Had a good conversation with Francisco, he was very nice and very thorough. Doctor Dalia also pointed out a couple things about my invisalign treatment that I had not noticed, she gave me good feedback and the cleaning procedure went very smooth. This has been the absolute best experience ever. The appointment started off wonderful. Mr. Bobby and Jazmin were very thorough and patient. They took time to explain everything to me in terms that I could understand. They eased any nervousness and anxiety. Besides almost swallowing my tongue during the numbing process, the hygienist got me in and out so quickly. My teeth are visibility whiter AND my gums do not hurt. Worth all the drool.

Francisco translated through my entire visit time with a genuine smile. I used to be very nervous to go to my appointments without my daughters, since sometimes they couldn’t go with me due to work responsibilities. Well, just take a good look at me! I just can’t wipe the smile off my face! Dr. Kiumars Karbasi, D.D.S. M.S. and Ms. Anna Butler, Lead Surgical Assistant, performed their magic and gave me a full-mouth reconstruction. And I’m so thankful that their expert skills finally gave me the beautiful smile I always wished I had. I had tried many procedures with numerous dentists over the years, from gum scaling, to night guards to mitigate the damage I did from constant grinding and clenching, to relaxation exercises and meditation, and finally a full set of braces to realign my bite at the age of 54. Fast forward to now (I’m 65) and Dr. Karbasi told me that my constant grinding and clenching had compromised my teeth to where we could see the nerve line in my teeth. Well, so much for me enjoying my “Golden Years”. Well, I wasn’t about to throw In the towel and end up needing my teeth extracted one by one, let alone having the pain to go with it. So fast forward only 6 weeks and my teeth are finally healthy and happy. And yes, I still grind and clench my teeth and I still wear a night guard. But I really can’t wear down my crowns as I did the enamel on my teeth. And I look and feel great! And I’m doing a whole lot of smiling! All thanks to Dr. Karbasi and Ms. Anna!

My name is Abdul Hameed, my friend introduced me to lake ridge dental care to have a free implants consultation. My friend had his appointment on Friday, May 28, 2021 and called me from his cellphone to setup an appointment with lake ridge dental care. I wanted to have same day appointment with my friend in his follow up visit. Unfortunately, my appointment was arranged on a different day than his. Although my friend advised me that the consultation was free, but I was curious about the cost because I dont have any insurance. I had to plan before going to my appointment. Thus, I asked the front desk employee if they have any fee associated with the initial consultation visit. The front desk employee got my contact number and said there is nothing to worry about the first appointment. She stated that she will call me on June 1, 2021 after the memorial day weekend to share the details and things to expect during my visit. I never received a call and was left under the impression that the consultation is free. After filling out my papers in front office, I was taken by a technician inside the examination room. Dr. Karbasi came and said that I have to do some imaging and CT-scan to know what work should be done. He said the cost is up to $300.00. However, if I was to start implant with him then the CT-scan fee be waived. Now my free consultation started to become paid consultation. I agreed to pay $300.00 for CT-scan and imaging. When they completed and the Doctor came up with a treatment plan of $25658.00 for 6 visits treatment. The twenty five thousand was for three implants, one or two bridges and some minor dental works. I was shocked when Dr. Karbasi made a joke that he will give 99% discount after asking him for a discounted treatment plan. Although he offered 10-15% discount. To be honest, the place was like a car dealership and or a retail store where everyone was coming to up sale and add to my bill. It didnt seem like a place where a person can be cared for. It was worse than a retail store. One bigger thing I noticed as far as customer service, none of the technicians and or the doctor said thank you while being examined. While they noticed that I was not coming back and not being trapped in their 24 months payment plan, they charged me $539.00 for CT-scan, images, consultation and whatsoever. Paid $200.00 more the payment of CT-scan and images. Yesterday, friend of mine came to my place to ask me about my visit. I advised him not to send any other people to this practice.

They tried to make me get dental work done that was not necessary, and not to mention it would have cost me hundreds of dollars. Prior to going to this dentist I have not had any dental issues besides my front teeth having crowns due to being chipped. I was told I had a crack in my crown and needed SRP ASAP because I had 5cm pockets in my gums. I requested the images for me to have for a second opinion. I filled out the release form and called multiple times a week to get the images. I never received them. At one point they told me only the manager could send them and that the manager was out for a week, but still after that I never received them. I went to see a new dentist due to them withholding my medical records (which is illegal). I was told and shown by my new dentist that there is no crack in my crown and that I do not need SRP because my gums are normal. I have heard of people being told they need dental work that is not actually necessary and its sad that this practice tried to do that.

I’m a huge fan of Lakeridge dental. I have been to a lot of Dentist over the years and I’m very particular about the medical professionals and personnel who provide me care. I like the entire team at Lake dental. Dr Karbasi It’s so experienced, does a great job, and is very personable. Bobby was the first person to clean my teeth after I had gotten the vaccine; he made me feel right at home, was fest but did an expert job. When I had to get multiple dental crowns Anna was super helpful and knowledgeable. When it came to drilling my teeth, putting on the temporary crowns, etc. I was super nervous but Mimi Tippins was so compassionate, friendly, and really took care to do a great job you could tell she takes pride in her work and knows what she is doing. I also really liked that she explained everything she was doing which I found very reassuring. Joi and the rest of the front office are welcoming, organized, and efficient; they answered all of my questions, explained the billing and did all of the heavy lifting with the insurance company.

Lake Ridge Dental completed a bridge for me today. This was a three (3) month process. This experience was comfortable and a beautiful done job. Anna and Dr. K explained the process and carried through (beginning to end) without any problems. Textbook.

I was a patient here for about six years, and frankly I’m surprised by all the glowing reviews. Initially, I started seeing Dr. Karbasi, and my experiences with him were good. But somewhere along the way, they started shuffling me around to their ever-changing rotation of other dentists. It seemed like each time I went in for a six-month visit, it was with a different dentist, as the previous one had left the practice. It became almost comical when I was complaining about the turnover to the hygienist at one appointment and she turned to me and said in a hushed voice, “The dentist you’re seeing today is about to leave the practice, too. I’m sorry.” And those dentists sometimes gave conflicting advice. I was told by one dentist that I did not actually need all of the fillings the prior dentist had recommended. Unfortunately, I had already gone through with half of them. This inconsistency in care meant that I could be given the “all clear” at one checkup just to be told that I needed five fillings at my next six-month appointment. Very frustrating. But I put up with it because it is not fun to find a new dentist. The final nail in the coffin occurred back in the summer, when I received a bill in the mail completely out of the blue. The bill said to call the office with any questions, but they acted bewildered when I called and said their billing office was now off-site. After several days of phone tag, I encountered an unpleasant woman whose only concern was collecting this money from me. I explained that I had always paid any costs not covered by insurance right away, and that I had not received a bill from them during the last two years, so this was a surprise. She said it appeared they had emailed it to me (they absolutely had not). And having visited for several six-month appointments in the ensuing two years, nobody had ever mentioned an outstanding balance. All this woman cared about was collecting this relatively small amount of money from me, after the thousands of dollars this practice has made off my teeth. It was insulting. So I paid the mystery bill over the phone and vowed never to return to this practice, which has become increasingly shady. It’s a shame, but between the ever-changing cast of characters and the predatory billing practices, I just can’t stomach this place anymore. Their gift card campaigns to garner positive online reviews have obviously paid off, but think twice before becoming a patient here.

Hygienists Bobby and Malika are wonderful at explaining and teaching self-care, and that’s highly important to me. Dr Karbasi is highly skilled, gentle, and always has a great team of professionals. I only wish they offered payment plans because even with insurance, procedures can get costly. So far, they’ve worked with me to stage my procedures and made it manageable. Thank you for that. I am fed up with the billing from this office. Trust me, it takes a lot for me to want to write a bad review for anything. I am the type that goes out of my way to give the benefit of the doubt. But I can no longer do that here. This goes back to January when out of the clear blue, I received an invoice from them for over $1,000 for treatments that were almost 3 years old! Not once in those years did I ever receive a statement or have them tell me there were outstanding balances. I was told by the one person there who was actually helpful that it was because they kept appealing the most expensive procedure to the insurance. The insurance company told me they never actually appealed it by submitting additional information, they just kept submitting the same things. One balance was for a filling and there was no reason they did not send me an invoice for something like that in that time period. Since that time I cannot tell you how many times i have called and emailed to try and get responses from them about the issue. I paid the balance minus a small finance charge. I told them I am not paying a finance charge for something I was never told about at the time. The office manager assured me over the phone that I would not have to pay that charge. So I sent my final payment with a letter to that effect that I was paying off the balance minus that small amount that I was told I did not have to pay and wanted nothing further to do with them. Since then, I am still receiving statements trying to bill me for that amount. I emailed the office manager and advised her of it, no response and received another statement. I am tired of the aggravation and stress of dealing with this office. And this does not even address what I believe to be an expensive procedure that was not necessary and taking advantage of my condition that the insurance said the office could not justify and that is why it was not paid. I do have to say, Dr. Fisher in that office is stellar and he was very honest with me and helped me very much. The rest of the staff is also great aside from these issues that I just want to be done with!
