I recently moved to the area from Maryland and needed to obtain a safety inspection for my vehicle. I researched several places online and selected Steve’s Auto based on the reviews. The service I received from the beginning to the end was exceptional. The staff I worked with was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. They explained the process for me in detail for the repairs that were required to pass. They offer shuttle services for their customers. This was my first time at Steve’s Auto Repair and Tire, but it won’t be my last. I was very pleased with their service and professionalism. They documented every service with pictures and were thorough in answering my questions. They diagnosed a problem with my wheel bearing, were upfront about the cost of the repair, and shopped around for parts to save me money. My Subaru is much quieter now. I look forward to having my vehicle serviced by Steve’s in the future.

I am new to the area and never had to get an emissions test so I was nervous and worried. I looked on line and found several places however after reading the reviews I selected Steves auto. I made the right decision. My service from the first call to inquire to the end was hands down remarkable. The service assistant Eddie made me feel comfortable about leaving my vehicle. He provided a brief overview of what the service involved and left me less anxious. They shuttled me back to my home and picked me up when the work was done. He asked questions to determine if I qualified for a discount and applied it to my balance. I am pleased to say I now have a place to take my vehicle for the services they provide. This is a great shop! My first experience was when I had a flat tire about a year ago and happened to be in the area, the guy patched my tire at no cost! Today, I took my car for maintenance and Ed and Quentin the tech helped me out. Ed is very professional, polite and friendly. I think everyone there is friendly. I felt no pressure. I had an issue with an electrical component in my vehicle. The quote for the repair and parts were more than what the car was worth. However, Ed did some due diligence into the situation and was able to identify that the failed part was related to a recall issue from the vehicles manufacturer. My experience with most places is that they only do the diagnosis and a quote for the repair. It was a very honest move for Ed to look into this issue further which saved me thousands dollars. Moving forward this shop will be my go to repair shop for all of my famiys car repair needs.

I just moved to Woodbridge from NC last week. On the drive here, my truck began loosing power going up hill and stalling. On arrival, I didi a search for a local mechanic and Steves came up rated number one in several searches. I called them and Eddie was extremely patient and courteous to listen to my issues. I took the truck them and have NEVER been treated so nice at a shop!!!!!! Eddie explained everything they were going to do, provided a fair estimate and told me how long it would take. I received full color photos of the inspection, the parts that were damaged and a detailed list of what needed to be fixed. This was incredible! Forget the rest..take your car here. Eddie is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!No....I dont work for them or related to anyone there.

Steves is a great place! One of the best outside of the dealer! I have been to them twice already, and each time, they took great care of my 2012 MINI Cooper Countryman S. It was always difficult for me to trust a place outside of my dealership. Not anymore. I found these guys! They are super professional, super nice, super welcoming, fairly priced. Professional, runs efficiently and very organized. The transmission went out in my Kia, we was referred to this place. My husband spoke to the guy there, super helpful. Had the car towed there, was given updates on the work being done. Transmission was ordered, and installed along with other work ahead of schedule. My husband was super impressed with this shop and will be taking our vehicles back.

We were looking for a locally-owned business to have our tires replaced. We decided to call Steve’s because of the great reviews. From the first call they did not disappoint. We were impressed with the customer service and the great communication via phone, text and email before and throughout the servicing of the car. We were most pleased that there wasn’t an aggressive upsell. They actually told us the car was in great shape. We will definitely return when our car needs servicing.

The service at this shop is incredible, I received photos of the car while it was being worked on. I also received a shuttle to my house before after drop off. I would recommend this place to anyone 👍🏼 Edward was great!

When I got to Steves my jeep was sick, Rich took care of me like we were related,even put my babys nickname in the computer. The diagnosis and repair was handled professionally, I was impressed. An entire 10 days later, my engine light was back on and when I called they took care of me just as good as before, and they made sure the issue was gone for good this time. Bill is like a car ninja he was in and out without a trace no rattles or squeaks after he was in the engine bay twice, and the dealers always f*@&% that up. I always use Steves they did a great job on my tires and maintenance couple months back.

Who ever has time for these company reviews, but Steves Auto deserves it. Quality work, decent value. They were also helpful to me when we had to pick up car after hours. Their pinpad key locker device is SMART. they were Friendly, and not just nice talk, they really showed customer care.

I really thought that this shop was very welcoming and professional. They seem to have a great staff of mechanics and just all around this was a great experience for us. They sent us the results we needed to know and included pictures plus took the time to explain each issue my car was having with the check engine diagnosis...I cant forget the breakdown of the pricing. They also included some near future suggestions. I did not feel like I was being ripped off and in fact this was a second opinion for me because I had gone to another mechanic at first and did not get the same star service but I will say that both shops quoted me a price almost exactly the same (within $3 of each other) but I know that when I am ready to fix the issues in my car in August (emissions and safety inspection time)... I know I will be choosing Steves Auto for all my future car service needs and you should too!

Had a great experience here I dropped on my car for new tire installation included in alignment and they were able to give me a ride to my job so I wasn’t late and they also found out that my windshield wipers were done so they also replaced them free of labor just charging for the parts which is incredible definitely recommend them and will be returning for other maintenance

My car needed to be towed and left at their shop overnight while they inspected the issue. They literally tried charging me double the actual cost. After they sent me an email telling me all the things i needed to replace immediately, i showed the shop i usually go to and they charged me half the price. 1-2 years later, my car has not had a single issue after having it repaired at another shop i usually go to. Furthermore, the shop i usually go to told me it was clear that someone had caused even more issues in my car than what initially existed. I knew from the first few seconds of talking to someone from here on the phone that theyd be dishonest. So sad that it was so obvious to be honest lol. Not saying to not go here, just saying, always get a second opinion. Good luck.

My daughters car broke down and was towed in to Steves Auto. She lives in the area but I do not so on Sun. evening I had to find a repair shop to have the car delivered on Mon. Ive been to Steves twice and the gentlemen there were super helpful and friendly, each time. I dropped my car off for services and they provided a courtesy shuttle to and from my house. They were efficient and explained exactly what was being done and why it needed to be. They have definitely earned my repeat business.

One word to describe the team: Honest!I ordered my tires twice from Good Year site and went to install. The staff on both occasions not only told me that I got my order wrong but gave me the right advice even at the cost of losing business as I would have to reorder tires again. Second time they had unmounted my tires before telling me I didnt get run flat as required by BMW, I offered to compensate them for the work they already did but refused.I highly recommend them, you can trust them with your car.

I went for a vehicle inspection and had polite service and a smooth process with no issues. I was impressed with the fact that, although they gave me good info on what things I should look at for maintenance based on my mileage, they didnt use the inspection as an opportunity to engage in any of the more pushy sales tactics Ive seen at other places (Im used to being cajoled pretty heavily to tack on lots of other services right away any time I go somewhere for a simple inspection or oil change, so having a straightforward transaction and conversation without that kind of pushiness was a welcome change of pace).

I took my 2007 Infinite to Steves shop and from hello they had my business. They are very professional, down to earth, residential people. OMG- the technology they have is outstanding as well. They sent me text and emails detailing every step they were taking with my car. This included pictures of the vehicle as well. They remind me of those good ole southern guys back home, who are wholesome and kind. Love the whole team here at Steves. Im very particular about my cars and they always take great care of them. They fixed a mysterious vacuum leak on my R129 Mercedes SL500, and they are my go to for inspections on my Alfa Romeo and BMW M3. Very reasonable prices too. Highly recommend!

Coming from a background of being burnt by mechanics this experience has completely changed my outlook on auto services. My initial phone call with Ed I expressed that I didnt want any services that were not urgent needs; I solely need my vehicle to last one more year. He was very understanding and explained the process thoroughly. He took notes about my concerns and asked my personal preference for communications, immediately sending a confirmation email. Drop off was easy and they completed a total check up of the vehicle within the time as promised. A full report was sent to my email with photos and explanations. We called to discuss what we preferred to repair at this time, all of our questions were answered and I never felt pressured for any services. The vehicle was completed earlier than expected and pick up was easy. Every step of the way there is excellent communication! We are so grateful for such a positive experience and will forever consider Steves our go to for auto repairs!

Im a huge skeptic when it comes to auto shops and my car (Im a young woman, my grandfather always warned me about auto shops taking advantage of people like me who know nothing about cars). I came here due to reading great reviews and was desperately in need of a quick fix to a horrible slow leak in my tire that seemed to never go away. Today I found the culprit, a screw. These guys got me in quickly with an appointment and repaired the tire in the safest and most professional method possible, and I didnt have to pay a dime. All because this business cares about peoples safety on the road when it comes to specific emergencies (the tire was on its last leg, its a miracle it made it to the shop). Im definitely going to be a returning customer, especially since being a clueless young woman and being talked to and listened to as an adult should be, I feel so respected as a customer and now these guys are the only ones I trust with my car. The amount of appreciation I have for these guys is huge, especially since I have an interview tomorrow and I dont have to worry about the tire on the way there! 10/10 Recommend!!

A bit nervous as I am sure now this will turn into needing two new tires...Do not have an appointment and they work me in. All the clients coming in know everyone by name and seem to be regulars. They were the kindest people in a service place that I have ever observed. They offered me a ride even before they knew if I was gonna be a high ticket client. They fixed the tire with minimum sum zero charge. This has been a tough year and I was touched. Moved enough to write a review and I never leave reviews not even on Amazon. Today, I walked in with a check engine light that popped up 20 min prior when driving my son home from an appt. I drove straight to the shop and explained the issue. They said to leave it there and they’d try their best to service it today, but it’ll probably be Monday at the earliest. They had us finished and ready for pick up before 5. I finally found a place that I can take my car to for absolutely any reason, I can literally tell them something and they figure it out, I get it fixed sometimes the very same day within hours and I am explained every detail. I have never felt that I have paid over priced for anything I have even been told by them that the person I took it to for the estimate prior is just trying to milk money out of me. they are so professional but yet very family oriented. I know all of their names, Eddie, Ed, Rich, Scott, and every single one of them know me as soon as I call with my first name. I have had several things done when I purchased my new car, new to me, I will only trust them even if I was to move to another city. they give you detailed text messages even with pictures of your actual vehicle and explain everything absolutely in detail. I have had four new tires, transmission fixed, found out with the weird sounds were for me, and alignment, a fuel inspection, transmission fluid change and they are about to put my rims on next week for me. I have always been given the best advice from them and they take my budget into consideration.

Did a google search to find a auto shop that could service a Mini Cooper and called them up and was able to drop the car off the same day. They have kept me informed of all the repairs and cost associated and they saved me a trip to the dealership!

Our 2014 Honda Accord was overdue for a state inspection. We normally take our Hondas to Fairfax Honda, but I didnt want to have to drive all the way out there and wanted somewhere local I could drop it off to pick it up later. Fairfax Honda had indicated on a previous visit that the Accord needed new tires, so I figured Id take it to Steves for the state inspection in the event we also needed to buy new tires. Drop off was easy and I really like their email work order status update/vehicle inspection results being sent straight to my Inbox.We barely passed the state inspection, and I asked for a quote on tires to have those taken care of while the car was there. Eddie quoted me for one option of Goodyear Eagle Touring at $151/each. I asked for additional quotes for comparable tires, and he said they didnt have any in stock. I asked about him giving me comparable prices for tires they could order, and he seemed to want to rush me off the phone mentioning that I could order my own and have them sent there for installation.For a place that is called Auto Repair & Tire, I was disappointed in the availability of tires for what is a fairly common car and even more disappointed in the help I received in comparing prices/finding comparable tires. I reviewed the tires he had recommended and found that they are not rated very highly on Consumer Reports at all. I was able to find better tires with snow traction and wet handling on SimpleTire for the same price point and also saved on installation.This place has great ratings, which is why I took the car there. We dont have a local repair shop to take the cars, but I was reminded why we go to Fairfax Honda after this lackluster experience from Steves. We wont be going back there again. 3 stars for friendliness, convenience, ease of drop off, and automated work order system but definitely lacking in comprehensive customer service, tire inventory, and price.

It really doesn’t get better than this shop for honest and reliable auto repair. The personalized customer service you receive here isn’t found in big dealerships. No up-sale tactics, they recommend what needs to be done but they also take time to explain why it needs to be done. They’ll also send pictures of issues to further that business/client trust. They earned my repeat business, these guys are great. Prior to a family trip I needed a quick seal replacement on my transfer case. I was told my truck would be completed in a day. Unfortunately the wrong part had been sent to the shop. These guys called all over last minute and had the part rushed down from Baltimore (same day)to meet the deadline, highly impressive. If I could, I would give Steves more than five stars. Everything about my car repair was excellent. First, the price they quoted me was much lower than the price the dealers repair shop quoted me. Then from booking an appointment, to the shuttle driver, front desk, mechanical repair and their desire to answer my questions, even about a repair that had been made at another location, were all top-notch. Its been thirty years since I left a car repair shop feeling so comfortable and sure that my car had been in good hands. This review is mostly to let them know how much their professional and friendly service was appreciated. But its also to let others searching the internet know my experience with Steves. Everyone that owns a car hopes to find a car repair shop they can trust. Based on my experience, this is it.

We are beyond impressed with Steve’s Auto Repair. In fact, the military moved us on short notice from VA to TN and we felt comfortable enough to leave our BMW (hubby’s baby) in Steve’s care while we moved on to our new residence. This is absolutely something we would not have done if we did not trust Steve’s Auto Repair. They are beyond professional, so polite, and simply the best service we have ever experienced! I am taking time to write this review while unpacking our house; that should speak volume.

Contacted this company for a transmission estimate for repair or a new one. Person said they would get back to me and never called. Typical not follow through just glad I never took my car to them. They also said they have an AAMCO behind there shop and they take items there for them to work on. So maybe cut this company out and take all your items to the AAMCO you have been warned!

Mostly interact with Ed, purchase my tires online through Goodyear and was introduced to Steves for the installation. They did a great job, shuttled me back and forth,check my battery for free, provide no pressure advise for my truck, looks like very competitive pricing, and they even provide a virtually feedback report of inspection they did with photos. Ill be back. I will recommend their service to friends and family.

It took 4 hours to have my oil changed and rotate tires. They also insisted I needed an onboard filter. Fine. However, I got a detailed inspection of the entire car. I dont know what Im supposed to do with that. Also, I question the tire rotation. Both of the tires on the passenger side of my car were covered with white paint. When I picked up the car, the same two tires on the passenger side had white paint. Was the rotation just back to front, front to back?

This is the first time I took my car there for a service and I was really glad I went there. They are very professional and friendly. During the process they sent me email/text letting me the status of the work. They even shared pictures to show the work they did on the car and what needs to be fixed in near future. They were nice enough to drop me off and pick me up again when the car was ready. Even though they are bit far away from my place Ill be using them again in near future.

I asked for new tires to be put on. Thats it. These guys went and ran EVERYTHING, gave me a list of what can be done, the itemized prices and then did some minor repairs as well. I couldnt have asked for better service, well without taking them to dinner first.

2003 Ford pickup I bought recently was acting hiccupy in the 55 mph range, so I decided to give Steves a try. Fantastic decision. They diagnosed the problem and went over the rest of the truck at my request to see if there were any other issues. Wonderful work. Changed out some fluids for me along with the other tinkering and the truck runs like a million bucks. They definitely have my business going forward!

I consider myself a pretty decent shade tree mechanic and do my own work time permitting. Recently I had an issue with a front end noise that I could not pinpoint on my wifes 2005 Yukon XL. Already replaced a myriad of suspension wear out items that were due to be replaced regardless and noticed little to no improvement, I was at a loss. Took the car to Steves as it was due for annual inspection and was hoping they could find the elusive front end noise!! Took a bit of diagnostic time to pinpoint and along the way they addressed several other items (the missing cotter keys I forgot to put in on lower ball joints) - adjusted and tightened other items. They pinpointed the issue - flexing loose fender with a broken mount - repaired it and charged me a very fair price (with a military discount). I will be back and highly recommend to anyone who wants honest and fair vehicle repairs performed!!

Steve’s was wonderful and friendly. They did a thorough job looking over my car and sending me a detailed report. They even offered to shuttle me which was kind.

I had a good experience with Steves Auto. Although my bill was much more than I anticipated, Rich helped me work through the numbers and save some money in the end. I appreciated their thorough report with pictures to explain the problems found on the car. Being someone who knows nothing about cars and often feels like I am getting taken advantage of at auto shops, Steves did not have me leaving me with that icky feeling. I would recommend them for sure and will use them in the future.
