Dr. B and all of his team members are nice. They always Go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and understand everything. They are always extremely professional and yet at the same time make you feel home. After looking around for so many months, we are glad we chose Athena Dental Group. Their office and work ethics are spotless. They work with you and are never pushy about anything. Plus my previous dentist would close at 4:30 and I leave work at 4. So it didn’t work out for me but Athena is open late and they are super convenient. Highly recommend them.

Service this morning was good, very busy place and it is walk-in so it is best you reach there early.

I really like coming here. My previous dentist retired and I was looking for a new dentist. It’s clear they are interested in raising awareness and helping everyone. I had 4 wisdom teeth to be removed, got an appointment at my oral surgeon in October, I got an appointment at Athena to have all 4 removed in the same week I called, yay! They were gentle, quick and friendly. All healing really well, was able to eat what I wanted in 7 days.

Dr. Balani and his team did an implant for me. His front desk team was professional and very helpful in figuring out my unique insurance. The consultation with the doctor, surgery later on and follow up were all outstanding. They accepted my insurance and were very clear about the copay.

The office is awesome and the dentist and his team members were excellent, great with the numbing, I didn’t feel a thing, and I HATE needles!!! I am having my implants placed this office. The dentist took 10 minutes to place an implant. I didn’t sleep the entire night thinking about my procedure. 2 days later I don’t even feel I have something in my jaw. Very pleased with services here.

I work for Lahey Urgent Care here in Woburn and Athena Dental Group is one of the Urgent Care Dentists we always refer to in case there is someone who has a tooth problem. My patients always give Dr Balani and his team HUGE praises and they say he has great chairside manner. Best part about his office is, he himself answers the phones outside working hours so there are no phone tags. There have been several instances where he’s gone above and beyond to show compassion for his patients. He would definitely be my choice if I ever needed to see a dentist.

Had an emergency ver the Labor Day weekend. Travelled from Ellsworth, Maine to Boston and nobody was available except Athena. God saved me with this Terrible toothache. Service was excellent.

I am typically never the one to write a review but I had to, I was in severe pain on Saturday night and I called my dentist- I have been to him for the last several years and when I was in so much pain, he was our obvious choice. But, in turn he never answered the phone, I was desperate to say the least. I called Athena and was surprised that Dr Balani answered the call at 10:45 PM and saw me at 10 AM Sunday. Today was my first visit. The staff was warm, welcome and inviting. The clinic itself is beautiful, state of the art and well appointed overall. As a medical professional myself I was left completely impressed. I never felt rushed although they were extremely busy. The whole team put me at ease and answered all my questions. It was a very positive experience from beginning to the end. I’ll be coming back again!

Everyone is nice and know you by name. Never had I been asked my date of birth when I call them, think this tells you that they know you personally,

From ambient reception to informed treatment options, I had great experience at Athena dental. They always rescheduled me even when I had mild fever (no other COV symptoms) showing that they take patient care very seriously, which I liked a lot. Rachel has great bedside manners, very jovial. Dr. Balani suggested least invasive, yet very effective treatment option, that I highly appreciate. I usually hate dentistry but Athena dental made me hate it a little less 😉

I ended up at Athena Dental when I has an emergency with a tooth on a Sunday. The office is very nice and I love the TVs everywhere. You dont have to just stare at the same picture all the time. The dentist himself was so caring and gentle . He makes you feel like he cares and your just not another number that walked in. He has all new state of the art technology also which helps to make you feel comfortable. I would Highly Recommend him to all. I think hes got my service going forward.

I was very upset when this office dropped my insurance company. I was invited to office by Melissa and she explained why that was necessary. Unfortunately, blue cross has really been unfair to this office and they have been holding reimbursements for months and I could see the agony when they told me. Well, next year I’ll be dropping blue cross because it’s rare to come across providers like Dr Balani and I feel it’s not correct to pay high premiums for shoddy insurance companies when they cannot disburse payments on time.

I like this office because they are on top of your treatment goals and make sure you are just not a number. I was a patient at another office down the street and she kept pushing for treatments that were not necessary. I like Then because they don’t push for things that aren’t important.

Cant say enough about the service, expertise, responsiveness of this office and in particular Dr Balani and his entire staff. My mother in law had an infection and needed to ultimately get an extraction. We called on Saturday night at 10 pm and Dr Balani himself actually picked up the phone. He is also open on Sundays.. He saw her on Sunday morning. He is very experienced talented and personable. He deserves 10 stars. I will be recommending him to family and friends go see his office.

Excellent services, I got my root canal done and everyone from the front desk to doctor everyone is experienced, skilled, hygienic and sweet. I did not even feel anything during the whole treatment and after, it was so smooth. To conclude, I would highly recommend Athena Dental Group.

Always the same great service, simple and great experience. Had a root canal on Saturday and a crown done. Effortless and no pain at all. 5 stars- deserving.

Couldn’t be happier. I had been to Gentle Dental and they said I had 14 cavities. I came and saw Dr Balani and guess how many were found, only 3. He showed them to me on the x rays and nice pictures on his large GLT screen TV. You decide what you would like, I love them. Straight shooters and very efficient.

Frantically called around 15 places and only Athena was able to accommodate me the same day. Right from the get go they were spot on. Helpful and straightforward. They go over the plan before they do anything so that was appreciated. Great hi tech office, low key people who made sure I left with no pain. Highly recommended!

Love this office. Initially went to Athena after front tooth cracked. I had not been to a dentist in years and they made me feel very comfortable and explained what would need to be done. The atmosphere in the office makes a patient feel very at ease when a procedure is being done. Upon arrival here at Athena Dental Group, I was anticipating something very similar to my previous terrible dental experiences from other offices. To my surprise, this was quite the opposite. I must say that the highlight of my visit was my interaction with the dentist. He explained the procedures that may be necessary and rationale behind each of them and in such a way that I now understand more about everything to do with my dental situation than I have from any other trip to a dentist up to this point. He was very friendly and welcoming, took my mind off of my worries coming into the appointment with genuine conversation and I actually walked away from the experience in a 100% better mood than I came in. The office modern and up to date. The dental chairs come with an amazing view of Television to watch while he does his work, and everyone was efficient and knowledgeable. I never expected to leave my appointment smiling and happy, but this is exactly what happened. I would recommend each and everyone reading this review, if you are on the fence, please take a dive and I bet you will be happier than ever.

Had a couple of crowns done, inserted in under 10 min with no adjustments. I remember those days that it used to take 30 min to check if the bite is right or not.

Cracked my tooth, would t get an appointment elsewhere, got a same day appointment here. Wouldn’t go anywhere else, very reliable.
