Please ignore all of the reviews with any kind of positivity as this place is a dump. Moved here in June and this is the constant state of most of the breezeways and general walking areas. The photo of the shopping cart was taken 2 weeks ago and I could take the exact same picture today with the trash bag still in the grass. I will be taking weekly pictures of these issues to keep a time line for when it finally gets taken care of. I don’t want an apology or any of that BS… just do better is all I ask.. how hard is it really?

I HAVE BEEN A RESIDENT OF PALO FOR A LONG TIME NOW AND HAVE SEEN MANY CHANGES BOTH POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE IN MY TIME HERE. I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE MOST RECENT CHANGE OF MANAGEMENT HAS BEEN THE MOST POSITIVE TIME I HAVE SEEN. THEY HAS EVEN DEALT WITH ISSUES THAT FLOWED OVER FROM OUR PREVIOUS MANAGER WHO WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY. SHE NEVER FULFILLED PROMISES OR COMMITMENTS SHE MADE TO ME PERSONALLY AND I AM SURE OTHERS AS WELL. JOY, OUR NEWEST MANAGER HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT HELPFUL AND POSITIVE WITH CHALLENGES THAT I HAVE INCURRED OVER THE PAST 6 MONTHS. CONSTRUCTION COULD HAVE BEEN AN COMPLETE NIGHTMARE WITHOUT UP FRONT MEETINGS WITH EXPLANATIONS OF WHAT TO EXPECT. I MUST SAY IN SOME CASES IT WAS WORSE THAN I ANTICIPATED. THE CURRENT STAFF ALONG WITH JOY ARE ONES THAT DO WHAT THEY SAY AND DO THEIR BEST TO GET THE JOB DONE. I COMMEND THEM AND SAY THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO DURING THESE ESPECIALLY DIFFICULT TIMES WE ARE ALL FACING IN THE WORLD TODAY.

I have been a tenant here for a few years and havent always had the best experience until several months ago when the staff changed. I couldnt get anyone to answer phone or email but that all changed with the new staff. The current staff is super friendly & polite. The new office manager, Joy, is truly a Joy. Anytime Ive contacted her, Ive got a professional, prompt response, even on the day I came in very upset and frustrated. She sat with me and talked out my concerns. I appreciate her taking the time to listen to me and show she cared about me. She sent Craig to my apartment the same day and he took care of all of my maintenance issues. Joy followed up with me a few days later, which I really appreciated.There are so many positive changes that have been made. Pressure washing our buildings, We now have community events such as food trucks, wine and cheese night and they gave school supplies away earlier in the month.The location is great. Close to shopping and restaurants.I am very happy to renew my lease this year and highly recommend this complex to anyone looking for housing in our area.

Checked out 3 apartments and the buildings alone were disgusting. The leasing office was kind and professional so I can say anything but kind things about them. However, going through the building to tour an apartment, each building was dirty. Trash and cigarette buds everywhere. After checking out a 2bed 2bath and hoping this building would at least be better, I was extremely disappointed. I really wanted to like the apartment but I really could not get passed how gross the hallways were. It really brought the value of the apartment of itself down. Inside the apartment paint was chipped and for close to what would be a $1600 apartment you’d expect up to date appliances or cabinets. As of right now from what I saw, these apartments are not worth what they’re listed for. I’d avoid them until they learn to maintain it better.

Will the maintenance guy is great. Very nice and polite, he listens to complaints and solves problems promptly and as efficiently as possible.That being said the rest of the staff at the property do not prioritize the residents at all. The construction taking place at this time is going to take months and the construction guys can do whatever they want at the inconvenience of the residents. They already got half the parking lot for their materials, but then they also use what little spots are left to dump materials and trash, blocking residents from parking their cars. Theres more grass patches than parking spots in the property but they dont use them. Sometimes they leave the materials overnight. I dont understand why. They dump their stuff only a few feet away from their assigned area. Whats the point? Its not cut down the distance. I went to office to complain but the secretary that spoke to me confirmed that the construction company can do as they see fit and touching their materials blocking the parking spots is a lease violation so that means that somewhere in the lease it says that residents cant access the parking lot that they pay for if the construction company has a say in it. My mother lives next to the office and sometimes there are no spots available when she returns from work so she has no choice but to park in front of the office. Shes a senior and cant park too far. Problem is if she doesnt move the car by 9am shell get towed. Funny how shes witnessed one of the office staff parking in the resident side and she never gets punished for it. Shes probably allowed to park there. The property doesnt have assigned spots for the residents and dont monitor visitors or trespassers. The construction is supposed to finish by the end of summer but I serverly doubt it. They still have a lot to do and their materials will get wet whenever it rains. And the residents continue to pay for a parking lot they cant fully use. As the secretary told me is first come first served. If mom knew this she wouldnt have renewed her lease. Shell move out next year.

The neighborhood was not the best, they had a roll off can full of household trash not construction, which means they were cheap in trying to get separate cans. Now all that waste will be going to a class 1 landfill instead of being recycled. There were no bins for regular trash so lets me know management is quick to make an easy penny. Cars parked on the grass, and almost got in an accident from a resident speeding through the complex. Not the place I would be visiting anytime soon.

Final Update: Apr 10th -We were approached by the property manager, Joy, about the possibility of moving into one of their renovated units. We decided to look into this offer.Upon us touring the 1st renovated unit, it was pretty obvious that they took the lowest bidder on the job. They pained over the cabinets, the cabinet vinyl was peeling off, the drawers were horribly redone, there was a gash in one of the doors, it looked like termite damage below the cabinets, and we found a couple bugs. We went to the office and mentioned that it was obvious that they were still working on it. We were told, to our surprise, that it was a finished unit.I sent all these to Joy, who told us they were still working on the unit. Obvious communication issues aside, we asked to see the unit again when it was complete.We were told the unit was done about 2 weeks later. When we arrived, they had us tour a completely different unit. This time, we were accompanied by one of office staff. To our surprise, we found so many more issues with this unit. Water damage under the bathroom sink, a water puddle in the hall way, a leaking water heater, drawers that didnt shut fully, bugs, a damage door, the two outside closest were horribly done. I HIGHLY discourage anyone from moving in here.Update: Mar 15th -About 2-3 weeks ago, the bottom bar in our fridge had broken. We submitted a service request and waited. This past weekend, I looked to see what was taking so long and to my surprise the request said it had been completed with Work CompleteThe work was far from complete and the bar was still broken. So I resubmitted the request that night. Fast forward to today, the maintenance staff did show up to replace the bar but neither of the two were wearing their masks upon entering.Whether or not we were home, we are still in a pandemic. The staff should still wear their masks.Update: Jan 1st -We found what we thought were dropping above the fridge. My girlfriend then found a roach running through the kitchen.We called for the exterminator. When he arrived, she told the exterminator of the droppings. It turns out, they were roach eggs. The exterminator told us that if the complex had properly cleaned and done their job, these would have been caught.Along with this, my girlfriend and I are allergic to cats. When we moved in, both of us had horrible allergic reactions to the air and carpet. When we used our new vacuum, it pulled up so much cat hair and dander it was ridiculous.Original: Dec 3rd -Moved in on Monday, November 30th. We were told that a maintenance supervisor would arrive at the apartment to do a walk through and note any damages that were made by the previous tenant.Here we are on Wednesday, December 3rd. I called at 1:15 PM and was told they would arrive at our appointment after 3PM.I texted my girlfriend, who works from home, at 5 PM and asked if anyone had shown up. She told me no. I proceeded to the office and was told they had left for the day and that my inspection would happen the next day at 11 AM.So far, the first impression has been horrible. The apartment is decent, but we uncovered the dishwasher was dirty, still had glasses in it, the fire extinguishers pin had been pulled and was last inspected in Nov. 2019, holes in the doors, and plenty of other issues that couldve been addressed before we moved in.I will update this later on to reflect an updated review if these issues get addressed.

ICurrent resident at this location, wanted to share a positive experience I had with one of the on-site maintenance members. Was having some trouble with my air conditioning unit which is a major frustration in Florida if it’s not addressed. I put in a work order to have it looked at and within fifteen minutes a member of the team named D, arrived to help. He listened to my issue, understood my problem and quickly got to work trying to solve it. I won’t go into the details of the issue or solution but what I’d like to note is how quickly he arrived, how engaged he was in understanding my issue, how respectful he was of my time and how helpful he was in getting the issue resolved. The Park at Laurel Oaks is lucky to have a member on their team as awesome as D, and so are us residents! Thank you brother!

Just moved in Friday, the apartment not in the best shape, more than a couple things needs to be fixed, it’s like they didn’t even check the apartment before moving people in. Definitely NOT worth the price you are paying. Definitely won’t be here long.

Had an issue with my AC unit.Called for an emergency maintenance request. Took about 30 minutes for someone to show up and the maintenance guy Jorge was able to get the AC running right away and came back to do a few touch ups to make sure I dont have a problem again.

Im a resident at Seville on the green. I applied here despite all the bad reviews and 1 star ratings. I was denied for whatever reason and told I would receive my fees back. It’s been almost 5 weeks and still haven’t receive a penny! To make it worse, I received a receipt in the mail that had a different address on it, but no check! It would be nice if I could move receive my money with the same energy they had when they were so eager to take it.Where is my refund?

I love living here, just renewed my lease. Joy and Nick are always happy to help answer any questions I have. Will and the maintenance crew keep this place looking amazing and definitely get things done, its pet-friendly, quiet neighborhood, and theres a grocery store right across the street.

We’ve had major maintenance issues since moving into our apartment. We’ve spoken to the office about it and they sent Will. We had a broken water heater, broken stove tops, plumbing issues etc. Will was able to fix EVERYTHING immediately. He was able to replace our breakers and water heater (both were broken) as well as fix our stove. We have a newborn so not having running water, hot water or even a place to boil safe drinking water for our child was extremely important and we feel so much better about living in a place where we know we have someone like Will as our maintenance. 2 stars for the complex but 10 stars for Will in maintenance!

Been living in this complex for a year and I will NOT be renewing my lease. About 2 months ago when I was 8m pregnant my car was tagged with a towing warning because I had been parking in front of the maintenance garage due to no parking spots being available by the time I got off of work. My boyfriend and I spoke to the manager of maintenance and he told us he would tell the office we could park there because some parking lots were taken due to remodeling. The other day, I walked outside to find my car GONE! THEY TOWED MY CAR!! I called the office to confirm and spoke to Joy who is the manager of the complex and she nonchalantly told me in so many words, nobody can reserve a parking spot for me and that its my problem not theirs because parking is first come first serve.....then the maintenance manger lied and told me that he never told me that it was okay to park my car there...completely unbelievable. Save yourself the headache, dont move here unless you want to fight to park in front of the building you pay rent to live in.

Bonus: while talking to Melton (who is a very nice worker) the maintenance and other work were talking so loud we couldnt hear each other speak. Completely unprofessional DO NOT COME ARE

The maintenance man named Will is the only reason I can give this place five star review. It was upsetting to come into my new home with trash and a leaking sink. The dish washer not hooked up, sink water wasn’t hooked up, broken AC and many other things. The incredible man Will, went out of his way to fix everything in our apartment to make it feel like the home we are paying rent for. Thank you Will! Life saver and extremely humble man.

Apartment hunting, I came in today to tour and get information although the lady in the front Samantha was very polite she gave me the keys for a self tour. I went to tour the unit to open the door and it being pitch black, there was a bra laying on the floor as well as trash all over the counter, I did not fully walk in. It was pointless and too nerve wrecking. I went back and asked did she give me the key to someone else Apartment she told me “no that was the right unit” I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ! glad I went in person ! Very bad impression.

I dont even know where to start! So, lets start from the beginning!We were shown a room, and were told that it would be the exact room we would move into. After bringing the deposit, we were told that apartment was no longer available and we would be receiving a different place. It was nothing like before, but rent was slightly cheaper and we were okay with the switch. We were given a notice saying construction would begin TWO WEEKS after moving in, and it would last TWO WEEKS long. That was a lie. Construction destroyed my walls, ripped out and left insulation out during the winter month. We woke up to our apartment being 55 degrees, in the middle of winter because our walls were torn apart. The construction company blew holes through my wall, and destroyed valuable items, including my TV. It took over a month for them to finally replace my TV. Every single day (except Sunday), We were woken up to extremely loud banging at 6:45am, and it lasted until 7pm. Every... Single.... Day....It is now March 2021, and construction is still incomplete. I had to chase down the construction manager herself just to have my walls fixed. They told me that they were already complete! Another lie. The conditions were completely un-livable, but guess who was required to pay full rent? Me.On top of all this, the front desk staff is extremely unhelpful. That is, if you can even get on the phone with them. On average, it takes me about 9 calls within an hour to even connect to one of them. I have always has my issues suppressed and never listened to.Imagine if this was your family, living in this situation. Never a quiet moment, always banging noises, nails flying through the walls, freezing nights, and nobody to help. It feels like I am paying my earned money to suffer in hell.Please take notes from this, if possible, look elsewhere. They dont care about your living situation. They arent the ones suffering like you are.

Where to begin.1. I paid 600$ deposit back in April for an apartment for them to call me two days prior to my move in to tell me my building went under construction.2. They had an incident three weeks ago; never once thought let me reach out to these possible tenants to let them know of the possible situation happening here. Never once told me they were under constant construction, and if Joy comments it’s ‘obvious’ my response is this -Milton told us the blue painted buildings were done - including mine. Train and educate your employees to know what they’re selling.3. Told me construction was done, but they ‘assumed’ incorrectly4. offered me an apartment 2x the amount I was already paying - didn’t even bother to accommodate me for THEIR mistake.5. Joy the manager? Never once stepped out her office, has responded to my emails - but only when they are nasty does she feel compelled to call someone and refer to them as ‘honey.’6. Told me I would get my deposit ASAP, I was told Tuesday, Wednesday I was told Thursday and herewe are friday still no deposit back.7. I had a colleague go check out the apartments and I didn’t get the chance to tell her why i didn’t move in, the staff at Laurel Oaks loves to gossip and will tell your business. Seems to me there’s no line of respect or confidentiality.so if you wanna live where it seems like a bunch of gossiping crooks work, by all means join them.Y’all borderline left me homeless with your last minute situation and never once felt the need to come me as a property manager to even properly apologize.The worst of the worst.

Starting November 2019 we signed our lease for 12 month. We asked about the construction. We were told it would be a very long time before our building would be started on.The apartment was not the greatest but we made due. I felt the price was way to high for what we had( 2b2b). September 2020 we went ahead and renewed because of the location. January 2021 my husband was injured on the job and has not been able to work since. He is in very bad physical health. Even with all that our rent has never been late. We have never had any complaints against us. July 22nd we received a non legal notice to vacate in 30 days. Their reason, the city said we had to( that was a lie). I spoke to the gentleman over permitting. on. Told me no they are not making us vacate. However, they will not get their permit until every unit was empty. He didnt care how long that took. That is when I contacted an attorney to handle our case. Their attorney/ owner could care less about any of the tenants being put out. We asked for another apartment. All they would offer was a new remodeled apartment that didnt come available until mid August. Then that would cost 200.00 to 500.00 more. Depending on what apartment we took. They was not honoring our contract. They we terminating our lease. Now even though we was allowed to pay our rent. They gave us a hard time because we was not leaving before the end of the month. On the 30th we was served an eviction notice. Even though, they were told we would be out on the 31st. That is how low this company is. Keep in mind the construction company is also owned by the same person. So if he would hire compatible workers. Then they would not have this problem. Since the news and osha has been there more than once. If you do decide to live here. They will screw you if they can.

Needed my kitchen ceiling light changed and my garbage disposal fixed turned out I needed a new circuit and everything started working again. . Will and Jorge came out and did a fantastic job and in a timely manner fixed the issues. I recommend these two guys.

Failure in planning and failure in communication will unfortunately lead to continual disappointment. I’ve had too much frustration to even describes with The Park at Laurel Oaks. Seriously take your business elsewhere, the staff alone makes it a place to not call home. They do not hold up to their agreements and don’t offer alternatives, solutions, or remorse.Changes need made such as focusing on maintaining agreements, keeping consumer trust, and especially clear and true communication.

My husband and I have lived at The Park at Laurel Oaks for 2 years now.I see all the horror stories that people post, and I feel for those people and what they went through. I however, did not have the same experience. There has been a clear shift since the first year we lived here. There is now new management and a new maintenance team. They have been doing a wonderful job in trying to update and build community within The Park at Laurel Oaks. Weekly, we have visits from food trucks and most recently they provided an Easter egg hunt for the children of the complex. The pool area has been provided new furniture and privacy gazebos. I know that the gym is also getting a face-lift, too. The point of this post is that the new management team and new maintenance team were basiclly given a burning ship and they are trying to put out the fire. They are putting in the effort, and to me, that shows that they care about their residents.

Ive being living for about 7 months now and so far when I needed maintenance theyve come within days of requesting the service and always fix my issues, today Will came by to fix a broken bracket of the door of my fridge and he replaced the whole panel, now when I open my fridge there is no food falling off the door. He took care of fixing my problem and I really appreciate that!

Ive lived here for over 2 years and have nothing but a pleasant experience. Im not one to write reviews but felt I needed too after reading some of the reviews posted recently. Yes, our community is under construction. Is it loud and messy? Yes. Does the inconvenience suck? Yes. But its not the fault of the main office people.Location is great, very close to work. Love the events theyve been doing - bingo and the food trucks are awesome. for the most part, neighbors are nice. Im rating my score based on service provided to me, not on something that happened months ago or the fact that construction is going on. the front office and maint people have always been very nice. Quick to respond and fix any issue Ive had. maybe we should give these folks a break since they are just doing their job and im sure its not a fun one some days

For the price they are charging (market-value) it is terrible. beams were supporting rotted out 2nd and 3rd floor porch. Thick layer of paint inside, this was the orange buildings, we did not see any inside of the blue buildings. It has been allowed to become run down and improperly lived in or not taken care of or repaired properly. Pay your maintenance men a good wage. That is a nice area, what a shame.

Moving into this property was the best transition ever. My apartment was gorgeous. The pictures did no justice to what I actually saw in person. The staff is so helpful and they treat you like family. Sam is so nice and helpful. Every interaction we had was very pleasant. She is very knowledgeable of this property. Mr. Craig went over and beyond with doing a walk thru with me. He pointed out every detail of this apartment. Anytime I had to call maintenance, they showed up promptu.

If I could leave less than one star I would. I will be involving lawyers in regards to how negligent the office and staff has been. My porch door has been broken for 5 months of me living there. When we moved in we had about 10 things broken in the apartment. One of the maintenance also mentioned to me that there was no walk through done on my apartment. The day I moved in they weren’t even done painting. Fridge was broken. Doors broken. Lights didn’t work. No mail box key. Absolutely terrible. Front office is no help whatsoever. If you need any apartment recommendations I moved out 4 months before my lease ended to Sole. I stuck with paying the rent but it was so terrible I had to leave. Don’t move here please I feel so bad for anyone who has to go through this again.

I just have to say Marlly, Samantha and Joy are 3 of the most sweetest and professional Front Office staff members I have ever met. But I do have to point out Marlly most of all. Not only is Marlly informative, she has been very patient and helpful in guiding me through the entire rental process. Marlly has the kindest and sweetest spirit, to the point my 7year old little girl met her once, and remembered her name and prayed we would get approved to live at Laurel Oaks because she liked Ms. Marlly. When Marlly says shes going to do something she is definitely a woman of her word. I couldnt have asked for a better person to help me through the process.

I lived here for three years and when property managers switched this complex went downhill. I lost my job in April and was dealing with hardship due to Covid, trying to find another job and not receiving unemployment from the state or federal. The property managers basically threatened to evict me if I didn’t pay the full balance. Thankfully I always approved for a grant that paid my past due balances. I let the complex know during Covid that I would not be renewing my lease because I got a new job and had to move out of the area. Now I’m being harassed because they are stating I didn’t let them know that I was moving but I went into the office and spoke with Stephanie & Danielle personally because the property manager was never there. All they did was take down my name. Now they’re saying I have to be $2000 and if I don’t it’s goi bf to accrue. Not to mention I moved out and scheduled for the washer and dryer to be picked up from the company they advised, but, when the company arrived twice, Stephanie said the washer and dryer isn’t there but she told me they cannot remove it from the property. I advise anyone with their right mind not to move here. I didn’t even mention the issues I had as a resident with management and the police always being called to the area for disturbances. NOT A QUALITY APARTMENT!!!!

Moved in October 2020, and things seemed well until AFTER I made my deposit. Danielle was my leasing manager and seemed sweet in the beginning, but shortly revealed herself very unprofessional and reliable. Prior to moving in, I asked several times for a copy of my lease to review it before signing it. I was told it would be electronically emailed to me about a week before move in, then it was 4 days before move in, and ultimately end up being the evening right before move in, which was probably due to me continuing to call and stop by. The staff is not pleasant, and in a nut shell, the entire complex is very misleading than what is actually displayed on the website. Theres piles of trash often left out and a lot of tenants complain about water damage. Theres so much more I could say, but to sum it up, I would not recommend living here. I instantly regretted signing my lease after the first week. This is not luxury living. Its actually way over priced.

This review is literally for the maintenance guys and all that they do, especially Will! I had an issue with my bathroom door, he came inside following covid precautions, saw the problem & said that he’d be right back to fix it. He was back in less than 5 minutes, and my door was back to normal in under 10 minutes! He also made sure to ask if he could help with anything else, was so professional and polite, and I hope that should I have any additional problems with my unit, he will be the one to fix them!

I just want to say how much I appreciate the staff and everything they do. They definitely make sure we are taken care of and it makes me feel like I matter and also that whatever I need will get the attention it needs. Maria is an amazing as well as understanding person and that’s just to say the least. Whatever you need help with, she is there to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I’ve never once been disappointed by any of my visits at the office. They all seem like they’re family and they all help each other out. I would definitely recommend these apartments to anybody that needs a recommendation. They won’t be disappointed with the outcome.

In December 2021 of my elements on my oven went out and no longer heated anymore, We called into the front office and made a maintenance report they never got back to us nor replace the element but we figured that it wasn’t a big deal since we still had three more burners to use this past Friday 2/19/20 we had an element explode and I decided to shut off the power to the breaker, maintenance came out and replaced two elements and a socket for the element that was bad, the maintenance tech that came out cut and spliced into the wiring with plastic wire nuts that is directly below another element, as of right now the office hasn’t returned my calls, this is now a week I haven’t been able to cook in my own home and laurel oaks could care less... save your money and DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! Nothing will get fixed in a timely manner and most importantly they do not fix things to code... this is a fire hazard waiting to happenUpdate 3/2/21 :the apartment complex brought me a new oven on 2/26 however... they did not test the new over as the element for the oven itself is missing 6 inches and does not work at all... to this day it still hasn’t been fixed and it’s been an ongoing problem since 2-19-21 I haven’t been able to cook... apartment complex told me to file a claim with my renters insurance for lost food... and are going to send “the supervisor” to come take a look (same thing they’ve told me everyday I’ve called) and they refused to give me the phone number to corporate...

Im forced to leave a one star because nothing was lower. My fiancee lives in one of these apartments. Weve experienced issues from month one. Pest control is the biggest joke ever. Despite all the lies and broken promises, nothing compares to this so-called renovation. An increase in rent just to put a bandage on a surgical wound. The construction is actually hiding water damage, busted pipes and rotted wood. The construction company is so careless that theyve actually managed to cause damage to the inside of the apartment from their work on the outside. Weve reported the damage to the office and their response was, thats what your renters insurance is for. Well, renters insurance doesnt cover the fact that the construction company managed to carelessly cut the cable line. Reported that to the office at the beginning of the month and upon each follow up, they say, someone will reach out to you. Well rents now due for February and theyre expecting money for cable, that we havent had all month, because cable is built into the rent. They havent offered any form of compensation for the inconvenience this construction is imposing on us. We have bed sheets up to all the windows because the construction company has broken the blinds to all the windows. Construction company is loud and work late nights, even on Saturdays and Sundays. Theres no escaping the noise and lack of parking because its 7 days a week, from mornings to late nights. Construction company has put holes in the walls so large that you can see the outside from the inside of the apartment. Went on the patio one afternoon and realized there was no railing or caution tape. We live on the 2nd floor and my 2 yr old grandson could have easily walked outside and fallen from the 2nd floor. I guess safety wasnt a priority. Electric bill has increased over $50 this month alone. If youre looking for lies, broken promises a place that side steps responsibility and a place that will eventually deteriorate from water damage and busted pipes, youve found it. Enjoy your stay...

While Danielle was amazing and made every step of our move in easy and workable during a pandemic being stressful to start with, shes super professional hands on and face to face. We love her however, this apartment is a horror from old dirty carpets to cabinets falling apart, damaged tiles water damaged wood mold in washer stove not working, lock on doors not working shades missing oh and bugs, lots of bugs. One week later not much has been fixed. 3 trips to office and im still living in a condemned apartment. No communication from maintenance no clue when anything will be completed.i certainly dont live in an apartment that looks like the model she swore was exactly like the one Im renting. Im so happy of the decision I made to move to this place, I looked around at a few apartments but there was something about this place that felt like it could be home. I love the pool area, the gym and sauna. I feel like I absolutely have everything I need. Most unprofessional staff ever. I was robbed of my money from this place who refuses to get back with me. I was given a move in date that was then pushed back days because of “ maintenance “ I then decided due to the unprofessionalism I would like a refund of my holding fee and deposit. No one will answer my emails or calls yet they are holding my money for a apartment that I’m not living in. Staff member Nick gave me a inaccurate move in date but somehow it’s my fault and now they are refusing to refund me. If i would’ve knew the true move in date from the beginning i would’ve never applied ! Don’t state immediate move in is something you can do and then turn around and keep pushing my date back. Had my garbage disposal not working the sink was clogged for 3 days I have small children couldnt do dishes or cook cause even using the dishwasher cause the sink to get clogged they never answered the phone when you call. I now have to take back my review and post my BBB complaint hopefully you guys respond to one or the other today.was told I would receive a refund of my $640 deposit then gave the run around. Did not move into apartment and havent received my money back. I gave a money order of $640 to Danielle as a security deposit for my apartment. Upon notice that the unit didnt have a washer/dryer and bad communication from the leasing staff I decided not to move in this complex. I spoke to Nick days prior to my move in and let him know I wasnt interested he said no problem whats your forwarding address Ill mail your deposit back. He then asked how much was it for and who I gave it to and placed me on hold as he looked for it. Came back, said he couldnt find and if I had the receipt chance I told him no I didnt he said no worries Hell find it and hell give me a call later that day. Never heard back from him so I called the office and spoke to Samantha who told me he stepped out and should contact me back within 15 mins. Never heard back from them so I called again and Samantha informed me that theyre policy is no refunds after 2 days. I explained that her assistant manager had already told me Id get a refund and she said she cant speak for him. I went to the office for a better understanding where I met a very rude Louann who spent 20 minutes trying to tell me to calm down instead of giving me answers. Finally she tells me that she will contact Hawthorne to get approval for my refund and call within 48 hrs. Samantha then calls me to inform me Hawthorne approved the refund wait until Monday so they can tell me how to pay it out. Never heard back from them. I called Wednesday and another young woman said in order for them to refund me they would have to have the receipt from the money order. I told her I told nick a long time ago I didnt have it and I asked her if Danielle ever returned to work or did Nick ever locate that money order and she said no. The company has done nothing but give me the run around from the very beginning and it appears Danielle took the money order and Im supposed to pay for it. You guys should know I paid my deposit if I was set to move in I dont understand why I have to show a receipt. I tried to talk back to the rude and cold hearted Louann she tells me to try and call Amscot to see if I can get another receipt for money that I handed to them. Very suspect that snick couldnt locate my money order and extremely suspect the person I gave it to has not returned back to work.

This property is not Luxury Living as they say on their website. I have lived here for 6 months and I am not impressed. We still have ants/roaches, even after they have come to treat the apartment. The AC has poor circulation. We have vertical blinds that cannot open or close as well as the slats keep falling off. It took them over 2 months to fix issues when I first moved in. The renovation here is a joke. They just painted over all of the walls to try to make it look nice. I have a cabinet in the kitchen I cannot use due to the bottom bowing in. I also have a cabinet in the bathroom that they just took a strip of molding around the bottom and sealed it on just the ends. When I sweep there is a bunch of saw dust that keeps dropping off the top of it. I was told that there was nothing they could do about it. The company doing the renovations didnt fix any of the counter tops by caulking them properly. The halls outside are always full of garbage.The sales rep that I worked with was great. Danielle in the office is always short and rude. The guys that work on the maintenance around here are nice. We are in a building that was renovated but the siding is already falling off. This place is overpriced and not at all luxury. I would not recommend this place at all.

Maria is just the best ‘ with the warmest heart Honestly anytime that I’ve had an issue Maria was there in my corner with a plan, and always willing to help fix it. It’s few and far between that genuine customer service is executed these days. However, my experience at Park at Laurel Oaks was above and beyond just that. I felt like I was visiting with family and was given the royal treatment. I was so impressed with the everyone that worked there and it’s no doubt that my expectations were exceeded because Maria Klingensmith’s management was superior. I’ve been here for 2.5 years and I just wanted to give an honest review..the buildings are undergoing construction, the ones that are done look GREAT!! The maintenance staff is so friendly, I’ve met with the supervisor Marc I think his name is and every time he has been so polite and fixed my issues the same day..I had an issue with construction and I had to speak to the property manager and she was very nice and made me feel like she actually cared..it looks like they have the right pieces in place now we just need to get the appearance of the property back to where it was!!
