Hello! I just recently moved into legends on July 20th. I have nothing but positive things to say about them! Move in day was a little hectic but they only wanted to give the best! One thing I am so so happy with is the maintenance team! They are always really quick with any request! Never more than 48 hours for standard request and never more than 1-2 hours for emergency request. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because you can definitely hear the stomping if you’re not on the third floor. And not a fan of carpet. One thing I did before moving in was stalk the reviews from current residents so if you are looking for a sign to choose legends here it is! Natalie in the front is so awesome! They do fun little events in the office and try to involve the community. Neighborhood is quiet and so far so good! I do plan on updating my review throughout the year but I am very happy here! Parking gets pretty packed at night but you’ll always have a spot. There’s not much to do around in my opinion but everything is very close so not a huge concern! :) I haven’t been in the pool or gym yet but I heard great things about it as well! I live in 2x2 and it’s a good space, a lot of storage.
Apartment is a good size and has a good floor plan, the walls and floor were a little thin, the apartment itself would get a 3-star rating if it was not for the office staff. When we first moved in, we realized the apartment was pretty dirty (even though it was cleaned by a company) but not too bad for us to clean ourselves. Once we realized the carpet was covered in animal urine we went straight to the office. The carpet was cleaned 3 times but the smell and stains (and fur) were still there. They did not want to have to replace it or to admit it was urine. The office manager (Jill) even went as far to say it was olive oil.... After our persistence the carpet was replaced. The man replacing the carpet agreed it was urine as you could see it and smell it on the carpet, pads, and concrete floor... (pictures are provided for proof). Be prepared to have to argue to get anything fixed correctly the first time. We also had problems with the A/C that were never resolved, and issues with parking rules not being enforced. We paid $40 a month to have a reserved parking spot. We were unable to park in it for over a week due to the building getting a new roof, and we were not get compensated for it. We really didnt mind at the time but they decided to charge us $30 for our (apparently rented) parking sticker when we moved out. We checked multiple times to make sure we were doing everything we needed when moving out, returning the sticker was not mentioned the 3 times we called and talked to someone in the office. (1 email was apparently sent about it 3 months before our move out date but it was not mentioned in the lease we signed)The office staff never seemed to want to admit fault over anything and always tried to talk around the problem like politicians. We do have to say that Natalie in the office is great. She was always nice and professional and always seemed empathic about any problem we had.
My roommate and I have lived in this apartment for about 9 months, and it had been a mess. Originally, our Ac unit was have issues in which it broke around 10 times and they left us sleeping in 82 degree heat on several occasions. Looking inside the Ac unit it was moldy, rusted and in overall bad condition and all they would do was minor improvements but never fixed it and refused to replace it. Since we have moved in our dishwasher has broken, our ac unit has broken many times, our washing machines has broken, many of the doors are having issues shutting all the way and we have had drain bugs. Currently we are dealing with a broken washing machine which has been broken for 2 weeks and they have told us several times they will come in “1-2 days” which have turned into weeks. We have had to spend 50$+ at the laundromat and they still are inconsiderate and offer no compensation. So beware when looking to rent here because I also fell for the good price for the area and apartment, but just spend the extra money and go elsewhere.
I have lived in this apartment complex for almost 4 years now and am absolutely in love! I love stopping by the front office to grab a starbucks coffee from their coffee machine. The front office staff is always so nice and there to solve any problems. They host community events such as having food trucks stop by, giveaways and raffles, and offering treats on your birthday month. My favorite part of living here is being so close to the Seminole Cross Trail which is only a couple minute walk away and is absolutely beautiful.
My husband, 1.5 year-old son, 6-year-old dog, and I moved to Legends after relocating from NH in January of this year. We chose Legends based off of its location, clean and well-appointed apartment space, and dog-friendliness. Our first physical visit was when we picked up our keys a couple weeks prior to moving down. The apartment matched what we saw online and we were excited to start our new chapter there! Being brand new to the area, Natalie was very welcoming to us and offered us suggestions for our night in town before we headed back to NH to finish packing up.I found the community to be friendly and welcoming. The office staff was very responsive to questions and service requests. We left Legends in August this year after selling our NH house and buying a home in Winter Springs to allow for yard space for our dog and child to thrive. We would highly recommend Legends to anyone looking for a clean, well-laid-out space and a friendly community.
I hate this apartment. when reading reviews i would highly recommend reading the 1 stars instead of the 5 because they are all true and the 5 star ones are probably fake. been living here for 6 months and have had 10 maintenance request. would have more but me and my roommate just gave up on contacting them. there are bugs in the apartment and everything breaks. just today they started working on a garage roof right next to my building with no notice. i heard the loud banging at 8 am on a Saturday. the only nice thing have to say about this place is natalie in the leasing office is nice, but that’s about it. save your money for a place that actually deserves it.
In the 8 years Ive lived in Central Florida, Ive never been a part of a community that I really LOVED until I found Legends. The staff is amazing, the residents become your friends, its safe and fun for our daughter, there are always events going on, and they are always trying to be better and do more for the community. Not to mention the location is so perfect, being near so many great businesses, restaurants, and the 417. If youre on the fence about where to live, I encourage you to at least take a tour. Im confident youll find your new home at Legends :)
Great place to live. Staff is excellent
It used to be a good place to live in but not anymore. Packages have been getting stolen on multiple occasions, there have been cars getting broken into, bikes being stolen and so on. The lack of security instilled in the complex is very concerning.
Very nice and professional staff. The apartments are well taken care of and they are attentive to any issues. The office holds little special events like cupcakes for birthdays, treats for dog days and they keep you notified on any daily activities. Enjoy living here.
Friendly staff and the maintenance staff were very prompt with their request. You really get to know all the staff. They routinely had special days for all the residents. During the COVID pandemic they were very safe and tried to protect all residence. My wife and I would definitely recommend this complex and area to anyone.
The staff goes out of their way to create a community. They are always keeping their residents involved through social media contests, food truck events, Trivia nights, BINGO nights, and special holiday events. There’s a trail within walking distance. The maintenance crew is also quick to fix something in the apartment. I’ve been living here since I got married 3 years ago.
Great community, very friendly staff. Our unit was very clean and the appliances were new and to top it off the rent is actually affordable. If youre looking for a place in Winter Springs definitely look here!
Very professional and kind staff. Although I didn’t end up going through with the lease for personal reasons, the process was quick and the staff was always available to answer any questions. The community was nice and clean and the apartment ( viewed a 2bdrm) was spacious. I have friends that used to live at Legends for many years and they absolutely loved it. It appears that they do a lot of community events and have good residents living there. Community seems very quiet and peaceful
Welcoming, friendly, and professional staff. Natalie supported the transition to us moving to Legends seamlessly and we can’t thank her enough!! They do a wonderful job keeping the community presentable and clean and the apartment is accommodating and spacious. The amenities are great too!
Pros: love the maintanence team and staff. Clean and well maintained grounds and updated apartments. No trouble with parking so far. Convenient locationCon: building is not as soundproofed as other apartments I have stayed in
I moved here a year and a half ago and I love my apartment especially the beautiful view of the lake .... the staff here are wonderful people especially Jill and Tara .... & the maintenance crew are wonderful they come right away to fix any problems that you may have .... I love the events that they throw here at legends for everyone that lives here.... my neighbors are all friendly and wonderful... I couldn’t have picked a better place to live at....I love legends of winter springs
RENTER BEWARE. Highly advise you rent virtually ANYWHERE else then this community. CONSTANT turn around in staffing in the office. Recently enforced a parking permit sticker over 7 months ago. No communication on when it would be implemented. Now a mass message goes out that they will tow your car if the sticker is not on it. One of the stickers was lost and went to get a replacement and its a $30 CHARGE for the sticker that costs .05. Not to mention things are constantly breaking in the apartment and roaches galore in many of the units. They do not care how happy you are. They are money hungry and review hungry. I would also not doubt that all the 5 star reviews is a burner account just to raise the score. The only reason we renewed the lease was because it was easier than packing up and moving with a newborn. Wil NOT be back
I have been living here for 2 years and the overall experience is very good. It is safe and quiet. The staff here are very friendly .The maintenance group is excellent. The manager here is very reasonable. I did have some problem with the advanced moving out notice . Instead giving them 60 days notice, I gave them 45 days in advance and that brings trouble(I thought I just needed to give them 30 days notice in advanced). The manager communicated with me very well. Even though I still need to pay extra money, I feel that the amount of charge is not unacceptable. After all, I signed the lease but did not pay attention to the terms. By the way, you need to give them a WRITTEN notice before moving out. Except the problem I mentioned above, the living experience here is my best experience among different apartment complex. I have been renting for 6 years in total and tried 5 apartment complexes in Central Florida.
This is a first looks response, and it may be edited after a year :1). So far so good, the apartment was clean and a great paint job was done, walls sanded, carpet looks and feels great, I love the walls are painted a nice grey and not an eggshell or white. We’re really pleased2). Grass in front of our building and sidewalk look phenomenal, lawn cared for and pressure washed3). Looking at the community board they do a lot here, for residents, they are doing painting with a twist later this month, they did solicit this review With the promise of an air fryer, but they did not say it had to be positive, so great integrity4). My fiancé and I found parking at our building at 2am on a Saturday morning, so that was a relief to know we won’t be parking far away on days we go on dates5). I submitted a punch list to management of a few minor issues (likely vendor related, out of management control ) I’ll keep review updated with how fast they respond6). They gave us a cute welcome home packet, Thank you!Tip for the team : as much as we appreciate sponges, and detergent, mugs, and dish soap, the number one thing people need upon move in is toilet paper, and something to dry their hands with.7). One year in and still loving it, great apartment with minimal issues. I would say if you are budget sensitive, watch your AC usage. Our bill ranges from 170-250/month. We keep it 75-77 degrees on average, and we’re only home nights and weekends. I find the apartments, safe, well lit and well taken care of, the grounds look great all the time and the staff is responsive to our issues.8). 1.5 years in, I love this place; excellent staffVery responsive, we’ve had small issues, but they’re all solved promptly. Great job ! The only things I would recommend to look for :Some apartments give money off rent for teachers and police officers, if you or your spouse do public service work, look into thatSome apartments give you the simple interest from all your months renting, and give it to you to add to your down payment when you buy a home, this apartment complex does not utilize this.Other than that, this place is great, great location, great staff, no major issues.
I move here recently and so far so good office staff are super nice respond back to emails quickly maintenance staff are on point very professional. I like the fact they leave a door tag when they have enter your unit to do a work order. Work orders get done quick. No complaints at this this. I can tell they care about there residents.
Absolutely terrible! They will do anything to get your money. The apartments are extremely overpriced especially because newer apartments in a better location are more affordable. They are always doing unnecessary work and leaving a horrible mess. This is the third time they have replaced the landing... for no reason. The work they are doing is earsplitting and the entire apartment has been vibrating for hours and they didn’t give a single warning. As someone that suffers severe migraines I would have made arrangements to go somewhere. Imagine if you worked from home! I have been here for about 4 years now and about half of it has been plagued by construction. There are roaches and ant infestations in the apartments and the staff is a joke.No assigned parking and there are never any spots. The staff is really rude and won’t help you if you have a problem.
Since my wife and I first visited and then moved to Legends Winter Springs our experience here has been fantastic. Everyone from the Property Manager Jill to and including all Office & Maintenance Staff members has always gone the extra mile to make us feel at home. They have always been helpful in all matters and have acted in a professional courteous manner. I would strongly recommend this Apartment Community to any interested potential renter.
This is the where my husband and I started living right after we got married and started living together. We had no idea how to live in an apartment, let alone together but they made the transition so smooth! The office staff is amazing and so accommodating. The maintenance guys come quickly and are super nice about whatever we need. They make it feel like a community here. Cant imagine living anywhere else right now.
My experience here at Legends Winter Springs has only been positive. My primary contacts at the leasing office have been Tara in management and Edward in maintenance and both have always answered my questions and helped me when needed.thank you to all management and maintenance for a job well done.Richard.
The Legends Winter Springs maintenance crew is wonderful - they are quick to fix any issues weve had and one time, seeing my struggle, they even helped me carry my groceries upstairs!! Now thats customer service!! :) Also, the office staff hold really great events for residents and do little things to make residents feel appreciated - most recently, there was a little succulent plant hanging in a bag on our door that read something like Thank you for planting your roots with us. How cute is that?!
The parking is hard to get even the most of parking are reserved you hardly find one and will be far, we have to pay an insurance for the appartment, and the trach too we have to pay for it every month, the rent is too high for appartment with carpet which they charge us for the haul carpet after we finished our rent and they said for yellow spot in the traffic area they took 771.00 $ for it .and really they were so mean with us from the beginning Specially the manager
I am starting my 8th year here. I have always felt very safe here. Everyone here is so very nice. I definitely feel at home here.
I have lived here for three years now, and I love it. Before moving here I evaluated 35 other like communities and decided for Legends. The complex is well maintained, The landscaping is beautiful, The staff is friendly and helpful. When I need repair in the apartment they are fast and efficient. The pool is very private; the gym is clean, the business center functional. It is a quiet neighborhood.
Natalie was so helpful with all the questions we had. The community is so peaceful and conveniently located.
If you want to get robbed move here.
I rented briefly at Legends Winter Springs to give me time to find a new home to purchase. From day one, Shamone in the office was extremely helpful, courteous and patient with my many questions. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and bright. It was an adjustment to live on the second floor with 2 dogs but it all worked out.
MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE FOR OVER 2 MONTHS AND I HAVE TO SAY THIS PLACE HAS TO BE THE WORST PLACE WE EVER LIVED!1. THE RESIDENT CENTER KNOW YOU BY NAME BEFORE YOU SIGN THAT LEASE, AFTER THAT THEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! I WENT IN THERE NOT TO LONG AGO TO GET A GYM KEY (BTW YOU HAVE TO PAY 25 DOLLARS A KEY BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE FREE ACCESS TO THIS GYM) WALKED IN THERE AND THIS LADY WHO WORKS THERE NAMED TARA DID NOT EVEN RECOGNIZED ME, LOOKED AT ME LIKE I WAS NOTHING!!! PEOPLE ARE NOT FRIENDLY THERE.2. THE BUGS HERE, INFESTED WITH THESE LITTLE CENTIPEDES THAT COME IN THE HOUSE, THE SPIDERS!!! KILLED ALOT OF BUGS SINCE LIVING HERE!3. THE PARKING IS HORRIBLE!!!! PEOPLE DO NOT GO OUT HERE!!!! YOU REALLY HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO GET A GARAGE!!!!4. FINALLY THE MAINTENANCE, THEY ARE GOOD, I AM SURE THEY WANT TO DO THEIR JOB, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO IMPORTANT THINGS FOR EXAMPLE LIKE SHOWERING, THEY DO NOT RUSH TO FIX ANY INTERIOR PLUMBING ISSUES!!! I CALLED THEM ON A THURSDAY TO FIX MY MASTER BEDROOM SHOWER HANDLE, WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE DONE TODAY, BUT THEIR LEASING MANAGER TARA SAID IT HAS TO BE DONE ON MONDAY, NO SYMPATHY, NOTHING!!!!! IF MY HUSBAND HAD THE SUPPLIES TO FIX IT, HE WILL, BUT HE IS NOT PAYING OUT OF POCKET FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS RUSTED AND WAS GOING TO FALL OFF ANYWAYS!THE PROS OF THIS PLACE IS IT IS QUIET, AND IT IS NEAR 417, BUT FOR THE PRICE THAT IS PAID, IT IS SO NO WORTH THE PAIN, I CANNOT WAIT TILL APRIL 2019 TO LEAVE THIS PLACE, SUCH A MISTAKE COMING HERE!
This is the best apartment complex ever. The premises are nice, but its the way the employees treat people that make it exceptional. They go above and beyond to make the residents feel special. One day a week they have cookies for the kids in the office as they get out of school. Last Saturday, they washed residents cars, just because. They have get togethers and parties. I dont think you could find a place that treats their residents better.
I moved into The Legends Winter Springs last March, 2016 and have been absolutely amazed at the courtesy and professionalism shown by Jill and Tara and the entire Maintenance staff. Everyone has gone out of their way to be helpful and I am happy to recommend this complex to anyone thinking of apartment home living.
So far so good I just moved here. It seems ok. Beautiful complex layout.
I recently moved after living at legends for a little over 3 years. I came back up North where my children and family are. I must say I miss it so much!! Everyone from office Staff Jill (office Manager)and Tara were the BEST!! The maintenance crew were great and super friendly, trust worthy and just plain down to earth. Now that I moved for personal reasons only, I truly know how great I had it there. The apts are spacious, pool is sparkling, the grounds are extremely well maintained. Very safe and welcoming community!! Miss You All Very Much. Thank You for always being there as a professional Staff and as a friend when needed. If your looking for a great location as well as all the above, go to legends. Your experience will be nothing than pleasant. P.S. Jill....I hate it up here...lol.. may come back !!! I need Sunshine and a beautiful complex as yours!!!! I Speak the Truth People..All the above is very on the money.. Dont let this get away.
Legends Winter Springs has been the BEST housing community that my husband and I have had the pleasure to be apart of since our moving to the Orlando area. I am currently a UCF student (JR) and I have lived at many locations from On campus, to UHouse, and down University by Full Sail. Legends just simply cant be beat! The community is quiet, the office gives incentives and holds community events and ACTUALLY changes policies based on its residents needs - we even just got the pool time extended! Its PET FRIENDLY and CLEAN and that is absolutely rare to find in Orlando unless you own your own home or are paying top dollar. It is also CONVENIENT - The Tuskawilla Plaza is 1.5miles down the road, a HUGE BONUS + It has a Publix, a pharmacy, eateries, a gym, and an URGENT CARE! Not to mention its only .3miles in the opposite direction from Speedway - so midnight snacks and quick gas stops before work are easy. If youre a nature lover you are .5miles from Seminole Trail and let me tell you - its gorgeous and paved with mile markers and its bike friendly so date days and active people are going to have a ball here! Also youre on the interstate and its a straight shot to DOWNTOWN, UNIVERSAL, AND DISNEY - I work in all 3 so thats always been an appeal to beat the rat race!
Great location for walking, pool time, biking and tennis.
Friendly staff, great location and has a wonderful pool to relax at!
I moved into Legends of Winter Springs in 2012. They have consistently given excellent service and truely care about their tenants. Its a lovely community with office and service staff that go the extra mile.
I live here in fear of misstepping; the property management even goes so far as to FORMALLY incentivize snitching on each other. We received a community-wide note reiterating the rules pertaining to picking up pet waste (again, not to me specifically). The memo included a new incentive, offering SPECIFIC MONETARY REWARDS for those who turn in the violators name with proof to the front office. Fine by me, I dont violate resident policy. But it certainly struck me as an accurate portrayal of a unique characteristic of this community-- for which we have awarded 2 stars.Great neighbors, great maintenance staff.Watch out for the front office though. They like to play sheriff.
I moved in on 3.1.2014, I had a ton of issues upon move in which were pretty much ignored by management..... I moved from another state and had to unpack a trailer. I asked the complex if I could park it overnight, they said no problem. Then I get a call two hours later from the leasing office saying you need to move it now......imagine being new, from a different state, alone with two very young children, and having to deal with moving your things around for three days because I couldnt leave my trailer near my building. Then on top of that the manager says to me that there is a parking problem in the building im in. I advise her there is not as I have been staying in my apartment for a week and there are always at least 7 spots open on the right side of the building..... she then said well I live in that building and yes there is......calling me a liar......so I have checked every night for a month and there are still at least 7 spots open. There is dog poop EVERYWHERE, I wont allow my kids to walk in the grass. I had roaches in my apartment upon move in. Although I havent seen any lately you would think they would send maintenance in to unoccupied apartments for pest control. They charge extra for almost everything......you want a gym key, that is an extra 25 dollars....etc..... my bicycles have been stolen, I will probably not be extending my stay here after everything we have been through the month we have been here. We pay a pretty hefty monthly rent fee and for the return so far.....it hasnt been worth it. The positives are it is quiet and there are quite a few families.
I love living here. Staff is very friendly and maintenance issues taken care of in timely manner.
Well kept complex, always looks neat and clean.
Very friendly and helpful office.
Lovely staff, expedient maintenance team, great location
Friendly and homey
Nice course
Extra mile staff
