This is super small and whats with closing on the weekends? Because its too small to take a weekend full of people? No staff present when I visited. Robinhood and northwest y are both much better, the latter is only a couple miles away.
This place is always clean and has equipment to accommodate most workouts. It is one of my favorite places to go.
Ive worked out here almost every day for over a year now, and its great. Yes, its small, and they dont have every piece of equipment (missing a cable machine, which is frustrating), but the staff are friendly, its not usually too crowded, and they have classes for cycling, yoga, bodypump, and others, which are scheduled at appropriate times for people that work. The price is cheaper than other YMCAs due to lack of certain features, but Im rarely bothered by the lack of those features. Would highly recommend working out here, especially if you live or work downtown.
Love this YMCA because its much less crowded and quieter than other ymcas. Has a good array of equipment
Kodokan Aikido of Greensboro holds classes here on Tuesday nights from 5:45 - 7:30pm and are well worth the $30 per month fee! Ive been attending every week since the practices began here and love it! Sensei Scott Self is the main instructor in this location, and there are opportunities to learn from a number of instructors. In addition to the other black belts, this organization hosts and is invited to seminars around the state. There are also visits from master instructors from Japan. Embrace peaceful resolution of conflict while improving balance, flexibility and while learning useful defensive techniques. Most practice is empty-handed, but some work with wooden weapons is also included. Adaptable to all ages and skill levels!
Clean. Good atmosphere. Not crowded
Quiet location, never a wait for equipment
You get the workout done, but they are missing a lot of machines
