This place has that old school barbershop vibe, you walk in and it just FEELS like it did 25 years ago. Its great to see so many young guys in here learning and working their trade. A bunch of chairs, and its always busy, but Ive never seen anyone wait very long to get served. Would definitely recommend booking an appointment. Carter is the man! Great convo without being too chatty, and does a great job trimming up my beard. His attention to detail is on point!

Ive been seeing Tim for some years now both at Washington Park and now at Ardmore. You really just cant beat the quality and price. He runs excellent shops. Youll get a great cut whether via scheduled with one of the barbers (get the Booksy app) or just via walk-in. Both spots are always clean, friendly, quick, and professional. They also have just the right amount of male grooming products and theyre priced right. Buy your stuff here and give Amazon the boot. They give good recommendations for both cuts and products and all the barbers are really laid back. This is what an old school Barber shop should be like. They know all the classic and modern styles as well, without being like overbearing hipsters. This is easily the best spot whether youre young or old. Highly highly recommended.

Ask for Jared Royall, you won’t regret it. I’m pretty new to Winston-Salem and I’ve gone to 4 or 5 different barbers before him, and no matter where I went, they always seemed to butcher my hair. Decided to try this place on a recommendation and I wasn’t disappointed. I told him about my past experiences with barbers here in Winston, and he was very patient and attentive to what I was saying. Before we started, he asked a bunch of questions to figure out the perfect cut for me and throughout the haircut, he was feeding me helpful information that I never even knew about.After the haircut, he even gave me his card so I could follow up with him to make sure my hair came out the way I wanted it to since it doesn’t always stay the same after you leave a barbershop. Have you ever heard of or experienced such a thing? Cause I sure haven’t.

My husband and our son go to this barbershop, our son is 2. We see Jared Royall. He is hands down the best person to get a haircut from for both of them. My husband used to go to great clips all the time and we have since changed that for quite a while now. We also used to use great clips and we have once went to pigtails and crewcuts. Jared is so patient with our 2 year old and will talk to him, make him smile, laugh and make sure he isn’t afraid of what’s going on. Our son is so comfortable with him that he sits in the chair by himself.My husbands hair always looks so good when Jared cuts it and when I don’t know how I want either one of their hair then he will give us a recommendation. We love it every time, he’s open to feedback along with making sure you know what’s getting done with your hair or even your kids hair. It makes me wish they cut women’s hair too, lol. If you’re looking for an awesome barbershop to go to then definitely give Jared a try, you absolutely won’t regret it. He will be your go to man once he’s finished.Also, they constantly make sure they clean, the chairs are clean too and it’s exceptional cleanliness along with service so there is no need to worry about getting a haircut with Covid going on. Tail-end of Covid-19 quarantine. Barber shops slammed, booked for 1 week+, and my hair was an absolute mess. I had a previous appointment that I was unable to make with another Barber shop. As a complete shot in the dark, I called Ardmore Barber Shop out of desperation to have a nice haircut for my grandfather’s funeral today. Regardless of how busy these guys were, they told me they could work me in. I was on the phone for less than 2 minutes. The dudes are awesome, and safe. Haircut is dope, all nice guys. I am a shy girl-who wears her hair short. Went and saw Jared Royall who not only opened on a closed day and his day off but saw me and didn’t judge me. He was professional and the store was clean and sterile. He kept up a conversation about his experience at the barber shop and invited me back whenever. I believed him since my first visit was a Sunday while operations were normally closed. Great experience!

I am particularly picky about who touches my childrens hair or my hair. Since Ian did such a wonderful job on my sons hair cuts we stayed with him. Hes given quality cuts every time and both of my boys enjoy conversing with him. The shop itself has an amazing vibe and Jeremy seems to liven it up with his great personality. I truly believe its difficult to find people who love what they do and put their whole being into their craft. What they do is art and the prices reflect the quality they give. I also love how Ian takes his time to make sure he gets the cuts perfect. Best place in my book and I wont take my boys anywhere else.

New to Winston and I needed a good barber to shape my beard. Went in as a walk-in the guys were super helpful and kind. The atmosphere was friendly and I was put with Chase who said he specialized in beards. He did not disappoint. I was given a beard treatment and it came out clean for an interview I had later that day. These guys are great. If youre local and need a cut, hair or beard, go here. I will be a regular.

Ive been a customer of Jeremys for a while now from Washington Park Barber Shop (which to be fair, is also a really great place), and when I heard he was at Ardmore Barber Shop, I wanted to follow him there as I love the way he does haircuts and I just think hes a stand up guy. The place was cool, they had a photo album of how the place used to look and pictures of the renovation. It was fun to see the work in progress and how happy they all looked renovating it. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality barber shop. Ive seen Jeremy do tons of different styles of haircuts, all spot on, and Im sure the other barbers are just as good and friendly. Ive been looking for a barber for a while and Ive finally found mine in Diego. First time I came in I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he gave me exactly what I envisioned. Next time I came in I didnt even have to show him the picture; he remembered and gave me the exact cut that I wanted. Always takes his time, never in a rush, this man is focused on the details. Not only is the decor and vibe here the perfect mix of trendy and old school, there are comfortable chairs to lounge in while waiting, a pool table to play. The barbers are great. My son always leaves with an awesome new cut and never complains when its time to go there.

Was great before, but starting going downhill. Ian was great at first, but would always be 15 minutes or more late. The cuts he did were good, but not worth the wait in my opinion. The ac/heat was always broken and made the wait even more uncomfortable. While waiting I noticed the owner who is also a barber plays games on his phone while his clients wait. Once again I understand things come up, but this is an every time thing. They just went up in the cost of cuts as well.

Great place. Ive been here twice while in town, and had Shane and Ian cut my hair. I got a great cut both times. I never quite know what to ask for, and had great luck just trusting their judgement. I came out looking fresh and feeling great.

I got to complete head shave with a straight razor from one of the chairs there and it was absolutely fantastic great service great atmosphere and extraordinarily reasonable prices!

Worst barber I’ve ever been to. After they butchered my hair I had to finish the job myself in my bathroom... and it came out better than when I left the barber. A customer should never be able to cut his hair better than a barber, never. Unless you’re white don’t go to this barber shop, that’s the only hair they know how to cut.

Savannah Roark is hands down the best barber Ive ever even seen, she knows her way around hair a little too well to be human. I have never had a haircut from her that I have not absolutely loved in the 4 years Ive been going to her. She can tell you what you want even if you dont know what you want (happened to me when I first started getting my haircut from her since before then I would get bowl cuts and buzz cuts🤮). She has fixed my hair when everyone else seems to always mess it up (went to some other places when she was taking time off) she fixed a cut that her coworker did one time that went ham with some thinning sheets and made me look like a clown.... She will make you feel so comfortable like you can tell her about all your problems like a mini therapy session, and thats surprising considering at 16 I was super shy and really anxious. I would follow her across the world just to be sure that i could get a haircut from the best barber out there. Keep up the perfect work and I hope this encourages other people to go get one of her amazing haircuts I promise you she doesnt even know how to let you down. And the baber shop is pretty cool too guess lol, Im kidding they are really nice people and everyone is super inviting looks great and makes you feel great.
