It was a great experience! Switching dentists after 20 years is hard. I am very critical of new providers. My experience was amazing from making online appointments to filling out online forms to being greeted when I arrived. Makenah, my hygienist, was such a pleasure. Very gentle but effective! It was a very comfortable 1st experience. Dr. Amber was so cute! Very sweet, very knowledgeable, very thorough. I just loved her. Requested her for my daughter who is coming in a few weeks.. No need to shop for other dentists. This is a one stop shop and I will be staying.

After moving up to Winchester from Blacksburg, Va and dealing with COVID-19, I started doing research on dental practices in the area. Based on reviews, I decided to try Smiles of Virginia. I have been very pleased with my experience so far. The hygienist was thorough in cleaning my teeth and explaining about the process of cleaning and x-rays. My appointment with Dr. Stitely went very well and everything they were doing was explained very well. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone!

Fabulous experience! I was a new patient and just went in for a cleaning. My hygienist explained so many things to me. She took a picture behind my two lower front teeth so I could see what they look like before the cleaning and after. So cool! It was also fun to see the digital x-rays. I mentioned I use an electric toothbrush, so in my goodie bag at the end of the visit she gave me a replacement head, instead of a standard toothbrush. Very impressed with this offices progressive technology and professionalism!

Ive gone to Smiles 3 times now and I have been very satisfied. The staff is warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The hygienists are great, explain things well, and are very kind. Ive seen 2 of the three doctors in the practice and while the meetings were brief, I felt like I receive great service.A friend and a neighbor both recommended Smiles to me because they had such great experiences with them, and I highly recommend them as well.

Every single visit is a 5! Dr. Amber, Dr. O, and all the hygienists are AMAZING! Ive had several extractions and several big cavities filled and Dr. O and Dr. Amber are excellent at what they do and, quite honestly, I barely know that Im having major work done! The front office staff are the bomb as well. If youre in search of a dentist look no further!

Recently made the leap to full time resident in Winchester/Frederick County and decided to find local healthcare providers. I was a new patient and they found a way to fit me in two months before my old Doc in Baltimore could. Then two weeks later fix an issue that they discovered on the first visit. Im very happy with the quality and expediency of service provided. That they offer more services than a traditional dental practice is a bonus. I highly recommend them.

This has been a long journey and well worth it. I got implants in the bottom and a plate on the top. From the beginning everyone was nice and helpful. I had 7 teeth removed on the bottom which is all I had left. Dr O. Was very nice and always asking if everything was good. Hes the first dentist that Ive met that could actually get me numb enough. Id recommend them to anyone. The whole office staff and dental staff was nice and caring and helpful

Dr. Niels Oestervemb is a great dentist. I have been to almost all the dentists in Winchester for over 26 years, and everybody has failed me. I am not going to mention any names here, but one doctor pulled my wrong tooth!I have few implants done with Dr. O. He and his team is fantastic. He takes his time to explain everything before and after the procedure. I highly recommend him.

I’d highly recommend Winchester Smiles, especially Dr. Stitely! When you move to a new area, finding a good dentist is one of the hardest things to do. Being anxious about visiting a dentist didn’t help the situation. The staff at Winchester Smiles was very nice … they accommodated my busy schedule for an appointment, and Dr. Stitely calmed my fears. I had my first appointment which was for two hours … and as Dr. Stitely promised, it was pain free!!!! I’m definitely going back to this practice!!!

The dentist can be an intimidating experience especially if you have not been consistently in years. This was the complete opposite when I visited Smiles of Virginia for my first visit. The staff were friendly and made me feel comfortable. Their COVID safety protocols were excellent. The staff catered to me needs and wants and did not try to push unnecessary procedures. Once again, Dr “O” used his trustworthy and exceptional clinical skills to find out why I was having extreme sensitivity on a tooth that had a porcelain veneer. I thought the worst would possibly have to be done but it turned out well with a few adjustments to my bite and other recommendations. My family and I are so fortunate to have Dr. “O” as our dentist.

This is easily the best dental office I’ve ever been to. Dr. Amber is so kind and thorough. I had to have quite a bit of dental work done and every time she made sure we had a plan and a back up plan before we even started which eased any fears or concerns I may have had. All the staff were amazing and I always felt like I was in good hands. My dental Hygenist is Rachel and she has the ability to make you feel important even when it’s just a checkup. Even though I had only had her once before for a quick cleaning she even remembered where I worked and asked me about my job. Whether you have had bad dental experiences and need somewhere you trust or just want to move offices this place is amazing. My husband, my sister and law, and I all switched here and have had great experiences.

Dr. Amber DeWeerd is a great dentist, gentle and very intelligent.The staff at Smiles of Virginia Family Dental Center, are knowledgeable, very helpful, and polite.Only one drawback, the prices for the dentistry services offered at this practice, are very prohibitive to many. (Prices in all medical fields are exorbitant and should not be.)It is truly a shame that more who need a good dentist, must go without.

By far the best dentist office I have every been to. As someone with dental anxiety, I have been made to feel so relaxed, and never shamed. Especially during this time, I feel safe, as they have taken all the necessary precautions. Jenna is my hygienist, she is knowledgeable, quick and gentle. I would see both Dr. O or Dr. Deweerd anytime. Would recommend (and do) 100 times over, best dentist in Winchester!

I never thought I would find a dentist I actually liked. Dr. O is the most caring, attentive, and professional dentist I have ever met. I have had extensive work done and been seen several times over the past few weeks in this office. Each and every time I have received the most exceptional care. I highly recommend Dr. O and his team. They really do treat you like family.

A 15 year journey to resolve serious dental problems that I started having in my 50s has finally ended in finding Dr. O. Over that journey, I had multiple failed root canals, crowns and extractions. I also was advised to have two apicoectomies. All of this led to considerable chronic pain and discomfort not to mention sky high dental bills. I went to Dr. O at Smiles of Virginia to seek a second opinion after the dentist I had been seeing recommended a double bridge. Dr.O did a comprehensive exam and explained in detail how he could help me. He said he would need a day over the weekend to study my x-rays and put a plan together in writing along with the fee he would charge to do all the work. When I returned to review the plan, I was impressed by its scope and reasonable cost. He even said he would include a custom made night guard to prevent damage to my new teeth. He performed 7 implants with crowns and an additional two crowns on teeth that needed them. Due to the professional skill of Dr. O and in house technology, I am pain free and able to chew normally again. Thanks Dr.O and your terrific staff!

I just finished my 2nd implant due to resorption. Dr. Oestervemb is fantastic everyone is so friendly and caring he knows that I have that fear of the dentist like so many others. I really am feeling very comfortable going to the dentist now with all that I have had done with very little discomfort. My teeth look so natural when I came home after receiving my implant I showed my husband he didnt even know which one it was he was very impressed. Dr. O and Dr. Amber are both great dentists I have had the pleasure of working with the both of them. Dr. O removed my wisdom tooth, I was in extream pain and was seen that day with no appointment and as a new patient. Dr. O removed the tooth immediately with very minmal pain and a quick recovery. Dr. Amber preformed a root canal along with filling a few cavities with very minimal pain. Dr Amber along with my hygienist spent a few hours with me and they were both very caring and informative the whole time. Both doctors are very caring for the patients along with their friendly and knowledgeable staff I had a great time, my wisdom tooth was the first time Ive ever been to the dentist and the experience I had was amazing and made me come back to have my first none emergency appointment. Wow, I am so impressed with the COVID-19 rules the office has installed. When you arrive, you call the number that was given to you to let them know you are sitting in your car. Each parking spot has a sign with a number so you can let them know where you are. When your chair is open, a technician will come out, take your temperature, also you must wear a mask to walk in. You can’t take it off till you sit down. Every employee is in PPE gowns, face masks, hair coverings, and glasses. All of this on top of the fabulous personnel that works there. My hygienist Lisa, is amazing. She’s so gentle on your teeth. I love her. And of course Dr Amber, she makes this office what it is, FABULOUS! Let me not forget Amanda at the front desk. This is not only a dental office, it’s family!

I have been a client of Dr. King’s office for over 20 years now as well as most of my family members. I have always received top tier, professional service which has kept me coming back. My recent routine check up/cleaning was no exception. I had a new hygienist who I didn’t recognize but her name was Dallas. She was a very professional young lady who not only made me feel very comfortable but also did an outstanding job with not only cleaning (my gums weren’t bleeding afterward) but made me feel at ease and made herself very easy and enjoyable to converse with. Overall, I am very happy with the service here and will continue to be a future customer.
