Worst costumer service. Couldn’t answer any of my questions as to where they had my rings, didn’t give me an estimate till after they did the service and threatened to keep my rings if I didn’t pay it up. The ring sizing was horrible and ended up making the ring barely fit my finger. They were consistently rude to me whenever I called or came into the store. HORRIBLE and RUDE employees. NEVER go here if you want your rings well taken care of. DO NOT GO HERE AND LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE.
Bad experience when I brought my rings in to be resized and repaired. I should have left and went with my gut. Instead I let them fix me a ring. They called me that my rings were ready but they won’t let you in the store! there’s a sign on the door that says ring the bell and be patient. That’s nice except for it’s winter!!! So I called to be let in...and of course someone in the back answered within 1 ring. AlsoThe rings were not repaired correctly. They were supposed to be soldered and we’re not. If Advise go elsewhere!!!!
I took 2 gold rings to sell. The rings were tested for gold in front of me. And a fair offer was made. They gave me a check. I was treated very professionally by the nice woman in the front of the store. I loved the selection of gemstones in the cases and I felt safe I the store. I’ll be back and I do recommend this store.
DO NOT shop here. They attempted to resize my wedding band and completely ruined it. I specifically asked them not to size the ring if they thought they would damage it or majorly alter the design. They completely ignored this, ruined the ring, and refused to refund us for the damage done. The $1500 ring is damaged beyond repair. The owner acted like he couldn’t tell the difference. Do not under any circumstances give this place your business, they’re crooks.
I have bought several gifts for my wife here. Mr. Cooper is always so helpful. He makes me feel like the most important customer everytime I walk through the door. Classy all the way. First time I went in there I told him I was probably just looking around and not going to purchase anything. He treated me then the same as he does now that I am a paying customer. My wife always loves what I get her. Honestly he helps pick stuff out half the time now that he knows her style. Many many thanks!
Please don’t ever shop here. We bought two gold bands here to wear until we received our official wedding rings and it was a terrible experience. Their jewelry is over priced for what it is and the service is terrible. We informed our sales person that we did not want a ring with an engraving on it, picked our rings out, paid for them and left. When we got home we realized that one ring actually did have an engraving on it (I guess we should have looked more carefully and not trusted them). I called, and the owner’s wife told me that she would make sure that they rushed the removal of the engraving. I went to the store to have it removed and the employee who helped me was very rude and passive aggressive for no reason. Then she told me that it would be at least 2 weeks. I told her that I was told it would be rushed and she said “well the owner isn’t here but you can call them in 2 days when they are if you want and ask them about it.” I then called a week later (plenty of time I thought)and the ring was still not finished but I was informed that it would be finished the next day. I was working so I called 2 days later to go pick it up and was then told that the ring “is not finished. We’ll call you when it is.” I then asked to speak with the owner and was again told “they are not here.” So here I am almost two weeks out and who knows what is going on with the ring. On top of that, I traded in a ring that I paid $2000 for and was only given $300 for it. I regret ever entering their store. They are not trustworthy. I hope I’ll eventually get my ring back. I would rather pay ten times the price than ever enter that store again. This is not the way to do business with time sensitive things such as wedding bands. Please consider any other jeweler above this one. I would advise all of my friends to steer clear of this place.
I bought my wifes wedding band here. The cut and quality was amazing. My wife was thrilled. They also reset her engagement stone that fell out( purchased online) Mr. Cooper is always so helpful. Sometimes I get jewelry elsewhere mostly online but I always stop here to check out what they have. I tell the staff I am just looking. They still treat me the way a customer should be treated. Everytime my wife goes in with me they polish her rings for free regardless if we make a purchase or not. This place has customer service down pat. Highly recommend them for custom jewelry and anyone looking for a quality diamond.
The diamond fell out of my engagement ring which required a replacement head. I took it to Coopers for repair. In 2 weeks my diamond returned looking better than it did originally. The replacement head put the diamond higher allowing for more light. Absolutely stunning! Every time I go there I am treated so graciously.
I took 2 pieces of Jewellers to be appraised and one was to have new prongs put on a tanzanite ring. The ring was returned with a different stone and was set way to high. I compared the appraisal toThe original invoice and contacted them because it appeared the wrong stone was in my ring and it was not set the way I requested. I never received one response to calls or several emails.Id be happy to discuss this in person with them but have not been afforded the opportunity. The photo shows the rings I dropped off in middle pics with original stones on right and the new setting topMiddle and left hand side.
Great experience, explained everything thoroughly. Was patient with me and extremely fair on pricing. Would highly recommend for purchase or selling
My fiancee got my engagment and wedding band from here. Gorgeous. Had to get both sized. Did the wedding band first and got it back about two weeks. Makes sense for the extended time frame due to covid. Dropped my engagment ring off on a Wednesday and the following Tuesday it was done. Unfortunately, one of the diamonds was missing. Had to go without it for another week.(They rushed the order and were apologetic) But they were super professional and Jazz is very sweet and personable. Got my future husbands ring from there as well. Even with the hiccup I still give 5 stars. Will deff chose them over the big shops at the mall.
I have been going to Coopers Jewelers for over 20 years. Mr. Cooper and his team have always been extremely courteous, helpful, and knowledgable. My husband and I have made several purchases over the years, as well as brought many pieces in for repair and appraisals, and we have always been pleased. I have every confidence in Mr. Cooper and staff. A visit to Coopers is like a visit with friends; thats how they make customers feel.
Just had some work done at Coopers Jewelers, they did a great job for me. They reset my favorite diamonds into a beautiful new setting, resized another ring, and transformed a cocktail ring into a pendent. Beautiful work and done exactly when they said it would be.
Been going to coopers for years ! They have the best quality jewelry. They take their time and really help you find what your looking for. Highly recommend
This is the best Jewelry Store in Winchester, I have done business with them for a long time and never had I had such nice people to deal with, Mr. Cooper is the nicest and most courteous person I have ever met. He will go above and beyond to see you have the best of everything. Trust me you will not find a better Jewelry store around this area then Coopers. They are the best.(: (:
I had my rings rhodium plated through Coopers. I am always nervous about my rings being damaged, lost, etc. so I was very happy that the jeweler who did the work is local and has a good relationship with the store. It was $75 per ring which is standard in my experience. I can see my reflection in the underside of my rings theyre so shiny! The stones are sparkling more than they were when they were brand new.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend you check them first before you go to a chain store.
Hands down the BEST customer service I have EVER received! Not to mention the very fair prices! I cannot even fathom the negative reviews that have been left! Mr. Cooper himself was very pleasant and not the least bit rude! All of his employees went above and beyond! Never did we once not feel welcome! I will not shop for jewelry anywhere else ever again!
Went to this place for watch batteries on 20180630. The ladies there are receptive and knowledgeable and not just about jewelry. Helped me out quickly and gave me some extra insight regarding watch repair services. I recommend this place for your jewelry needs and will definitely come back again.
I called this morning to inquire about getting my wifes wedding & engagement rings resized & the older gentleman that I spoke with could not have been more rude or impatient. He stated he would have to see the rings to give me a price & when I was just giving him the information on the type of rings he rudely spouted off again rudely I must see the rings to give you a price. I then asked what time do they close & what his name was he proceeded to hang up on me. I will be taking my business elsewhere, I called Zales & they were more than happy to give me a price & the representative couldnt have been any nicer.
Wonderful service and prices!! Purchased our wedding bands and engagement ring for a very reasonable price. We will continue to shop there for sure!! Beautiful selection and displays, as well.
Sold jewelry in Nov 2017 and again in January 2018. Both experiences were positive. Mark Cooper is fair and pleasant, and every other associate has been so as well. Will continue to use Coopers exclusively.
I literally walked in there with cash in hand for an engagement ring and I found one in a book there I wanted. The old lady who clearly smokes cigarettes like a chimney tried everything she could to steer me in a completely different direction for a ring and wanted me to buy one that was already there that didnt look anything like what my now wife would want. Finally she said she would order it and it would be there in a few days and that she would call me. Waited a whole week and never heard anything. I know theyre busy but I finally couldnt wait any longer so I called them 10 days later and the cigarette lady answers and said she forgot to order it. REALLY??? YOU HAD A SALE AND I HAD THE MONEY, ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS ORDER IT AND CALL ME TO COME PAY FOR IT AND PICK IT UP! She was extremely rude at that point. This place can suck it!
Shopping at Coopers is always a pleasant experience :) Mr. Cooper is a top notch guy that will go the distance for every customer! His associates are very knowledgeable. Jaz and Terri always help me find perfect pieces!
I had a very good, enjoyable transaction here. I suspect that some people get mad when they dont get what they want for something they are trying to sell. Its not really fair to give 1 star for that. No jeweler or pawn shop is obligated to buy anything.
This is a great place. I am someone whose vice is jewelry. So finding a treasure is my goal. I love different pieces and know that every time that I go into Coopers I will find something unique and affordable. If you are looking for an engagement ring, you get the most value for your dollar there.
Spectacular jewler. They are very helpful and informative when I have questions. Also no one tries to push me into buying something Im not sure about, which is why Ive purchased multiple items from them. I have also had three things repaired by them, and the workmanship is excellent. They even helped me customize a pendant that kept breaking the chain. Never will i take items to be repaired anywhere else.
This place is nothing but a joke maybe even a rip off had my son take a very nice Men’s diamond ring and worth $1000 and they want to offer you $150 in my opinion that’s worse than a pawnshop I wouldn’t give him the time of the day or buy anything from the store they just screw people over. This is my second time trying to deal with this jewelry store you can just tell by looking at him he’s nothing but a joke. Wish I could give a zero.
Ive been in this store several times at the old location and it was always a pleasant experience. The very first time I walked into the new location, I vowed Id never use this place again! !! Althoufh there were two or three other customers there, if you see me standing there and walk by several times without even so much as a hello. .much less asking if you you can help me, Ill take my business elsewhere! !!! Dont act like youre the only business in this area and be rude to customers! !!!
I stopped into Cooper’s to inquire on having a ring sized. An older woman inspected my ring with a jeweler’s magnifier for several minutes before returning it to me, stating she was unable to see any markings.I asked what “no markings” signifies, because she didn’t elaborate. She explained that my ring isn’t made of silver or gold.An awkward silence ensued as I expected her to continue explaining how that would affect ring sizing. Perplexed, I asked how this influences the process. She informed me that the high heat of their machines would melt any metals that aren’t silver or gold, as well as the adorning stones that surrounded the primary jewel.(My engagement ring is a handmade 4.35 ct. princess cut black diamond ring with five smaller black stones running down the band on each side of the central stone.)At this point, I asked if ring sizing is at all possible for alternative metals that aren’t gold or silver and she said it isn’t; my only option would be using a ring guard. I agreed to return on another day when a jeweler was available to attach a ring guard. My fiancé later confirmed that my ring is in fact 925 silver with a “high quality finish”. I immediately called Cooper’s and the older lady I spoke with earlier answered the phone. Upon informing her that my ring is in fact 925 silver (and not an alternative metal as she originally assumed) she placed me on hold, returning several minutes later stating that they are only resizing gold and platinum. Unfortunately.Perhaps she misspoke formerly and confused silver for platinum. Everyone makes mistakes of course.I brought with me another ring for an unofficial appraisal as I had recently inherited it and didn’t know much about it. She informed me it was “costume jewelry” and worth next to nothing. After showing it to Jim at Shenandoah Numismatics, he confirmed its white gold, with a moonstone surrounded by sapphires. It’s definitely not costume jewelry and worth close to $100.Furthermore, she didn’t feel the need to apologize for any of the misunderstandings and frankly, made it seem obvious that my business was more of a nuisance than anything.Zale’s was happy to receive my business for the engagement resizing, and it’s in fact, quite simple to resize a silver ring. I also discovered there are multiple alternatives to resizing while conversing with the friendly salespeople at Zale’s, which doesn’t compromise the integrity of the jewelry. It’s very frustrating when consultants of a specified field assume their customers are knowledgeable and share the same level of expertise as they do.
I called to see if I can make an appointment to have my engagement ring appraised and asked to be present for the appraisal. The womans response was Ill put it this way. If you cant trust us to leave the ring then we dont want to do business with you. Well, Ill put it this way... If you cant speak to your customers better, than why in the world would I want to do business with you? Needless to say, this place doesnt deserve business if they dont appreciate their customers needs. Mr. Cooper, hire someone with a brain to work for you, as your other reviewers have similar complaints and you are clearly losing business.
Will never go back!!!!! Bought diamond ring off owner and diamonds kept falling out. He would not back up covering the diamonds after ring was purchased with warranty! Tried asking him to buy ring back from us and he wouldn’t even offer a price...said “he was too full on inventory.” I have no clue how this man is still running a so called business! Do not recommend anyone use them because they will not back their items!
Wish I could give zero stars. Ive had trouble before with rudeness from the owner, but the lady that works for him might be even worse. I came in for a watch battery replacement, and while she was working on it someone else came in, seemingly to spend more money, and she actually stopped working on my watch in order to wait on the other guy. No hang on one second, Ill be right back with you, or anything. And the owner was standing right there and ignored the whole thing. The owners response to the guy who wrote an honest review on this site a year ago is typical of the attitude youll get when coming in - arrogant and disrespectful. You cant act like this in a small town like Winchester - hell be out of business in a year, just like he did with his former location on Valley Ave.
Fair trading.Good place to do business.
Great jewelry store, and excellent service. Very friendly atmosphere.
I will agree with Adam S. and here is my experience at this store (Same lady). My appraisal was done incorrectly so I returned it to them with detail information on what the insurance company needed on it. It took 4 weeks before they can get it, the response everything I stopped by was its not ready, even though the staff will tell me to come on a particular day and I will go 2 - 3 days later still not ready. I understand they might be busy, but yelling to me its not ready from the back room tipped it for me. After my 3rd visit, I decided I wanted to just get a timeline of when it will be done from Mr Cooper himself. I got there with Mr. Cooper present and the same staff that had been telling me its not ready typed it up and gave it to him to sign. It took less than 5 mins to complete, even though they still messed it up and I had them correct it. But I have to wait 28 days for it.
The sales lady and desk clerk are very rude and nasty I can’t belive they make any sales the way they talk and treat people. I am mind blown how disrespectful that women was to me and other customers.I would definitely go without before I ever gave this place a dime!
The knowledge of the store employees are remarkable and make sure you know what you’re buying before leaving the store. I will be back
They do not do appraisals.Make sure you have your jewelry checked after purchasing it from here.
Whoever is the old lady that sounds like she smokes 20 packs of ciggs a day is the rudest employee Ive ever met working for Coopers. The old store was a much friendly emviroment. Seems as if you dont look like your going to spend money they dont want you there. Very disapointed someone like her is employed for coopers jewelers
Mr. Cooper stands by his work.
Take your business elsewhere. The owner is a condescending...
Fantastic business and ownership !
