Ive been a member for about 3 years and cant say enough good things about Mountain Strength. A welcoming and supportive environment, a wonderful community of athletes, and amazing coaches who will help you toward your goals no matter your level of experience. The gym has even provided a sense of community through the pandemic, with Zoom workouts and (more recently) some great outdoor classes. So lucky to have this!
I have been attending Mountain Strength for about a year now, and I am happy to say that it has been exactly what I needed. Good coaches ( I primarily go to the 5:30pm classes, so it has been coach Jorge primarily, but I have interacted with a couple other coaches along the way as well) who are accommodating and knowledgeable and explain/call you out if you are doing something with horrendous form/technique. The community renders itself to a great mix of competitive yet friendly environment. During the current climate, the gym was gracious enough to rent out the equipment (all of it was fair game, barbells, weights, med balls, plates, rowers etc. if it fits (in your vehicle) I sits mentality) and provided zoom/online classes for people who needed a structured workout to follow. And now, during the outdoor classes during the current re-opening phase, the areas/boxes are well marked off in the parking lot with ample space to use equipment in a safe and distanced manner. All the used equipment is sanitized and wiped down after every class and if for some reason you do need to go indoors for water or restroom, masks are mandatory and hand sanitizers are provided at the entrance. As a cherry on the top, they even provide nutrition programming and an in-house massage therapist if you need those additional components to better yourself. All in all, a great community to workout with!
Rich has been at it for a long time and it shows in the quality at Mountain Strength. He takes the time to work with each individual and puts together a solution that they need regardless if thats personal training, nutrition, group classes, or my favorite...obstacle course racing classes! Im very lucky to have crossed paths with Rich and Mountain Strength.
Rich has been coaching, leading and helping people transform their lives through fitness, nutrition and health for a long time. Hes worked with people who have never worked out a day in their lives and helped them become healthy and fit as well as people who want to win their next obstacle course race. He knows what hes doing and so does his staff. But you shouldnt take my word for it, set up an consultation and find out how they can work with you!
Great gym! Has everything you need even in a small space. Staff if very friendly and knowledgeable
Been going here for 2 months and Im in loveGreat coachs cleanest place always have a good time classes are great 👍 if i could give 10 stars 🌟 I would
I walked into MSCF (in march 2019) as a distance runner who needed help. After talking to my orthopedic surgeon about possibly going under the knife for multiple knee issues, I figured this would be a last attempt and didnt hold out much hope for recovery. Months of PT didnt help, how would this be any different?I wasnt able to do a full squat or lunge without PAIN and stairs were becoming an obstacle I tried to avoid.Fast forward to this past week. After coming to the gym 3x a week since March, I was able to complete 6 rounds of a workout that included 75 squats AT FULL RANGE of motion, and yesterday did my first full set of lunges!!!!The coaches are great, very patient, and will modify ANY movement to make sure everyone is working out safely. If you are thinking about joining, do it. You wont regret it! I sure dont!PS - thank you to all the coaches and owner Rich, you are the best! Thank you for helping me get my knees back!!!
This is a phenomenal place!! The programming is excellent, the coaches are knowledgeable, engaging and thoughtful, and the diligent precautions during this time of covid 19 keep us all safe and give us peace of mind! While folks were staying at home, they kept us engaged and FIT through Zoom classes, equipment rental, virtual events and discussions. The parking lot wods have been a wonderful option - love seeing eachother and they are both fun and challenging! Thank you all! I love Mountain Strength!! * air hugs * love, cari
Very welcoming owners and staff!! They let me drop and to complete an AGQ on the fly when I was in a pinch. Highly recommend this facility.
Not sure what to expect, I dropped into a class over 5 years ago and the rest, as they say, is history. Every class is different, challenging and never a dull moment. The coaches are exceptional and know how to modify a workout if something doesnt work for you. The community is what makes MSCF truly special -- its what makes the place shine. A remarkable place for anyone, regardless of age!
If you are looking for an excellent workout in a supportive and motivating environment, Mountain Strength CrossFit is the place to go! The coaches are willing to meet you wherever you are in terms of strength, endurance, and coordination. MSCF has been a great fit for my husband and me (in our 50s) and our teenage daughter. Weve all achieved things we would have never imagined two years ago when we started.
Love this place!!! My husband is a regular here and got me a membership and I immediately loved it. The community is SO amazing, supportive, motivational and friendly. The coaches are knowledgeable and always there to answer questions and provide support. If you have fitness and health goals, MSCF will get you there. They also have nutritional support and workshops if you have more specific goals. Cant recommend this place enough!
Coming up on a year since I joined Mountain Strength Cross Fit, and I cannot say enough good things about them. The coaches are friendly and knowledgeable, and no matter your strength or skill level, they alway help you to safely do the best you can. The workouts vary from day to day such that you never go in thinking that you are doing the same old things. The community is welcoming to all and a large part what makes you want to come in each day. Whatever your fitness level, I would encourage you to give them a try.
MSCF is the best! The coaches are amazing - very knowledgeable and always willing to offer advice and support. The members are a wonderful and welcoming group of people. The workouts are challenging but fun... and the results are very measurable. I could not recommend more!
Never had so much fun exercising! The coaches are great, they really help me every day with their expert and professional advice. In less than 6 months I got stronger and healthier (and accomplished my first pull ups and even run my first spartan race!!!). And the best part? MSCF is like family and I felt welcomed and supported since the very first day ❤️
Having already been going to my CrossFit gym in CT for 3 years, I didnt know what to expect from Mountain Strength. After attending classes now for 6 weeks, I can say that this gym is phenomenal. Super friendly and knowledgeable coaches, high quality equipment and a welcoming and supportive community make MSCF a superior CrossFit gym!
Mountain Strength CrossFit is an amazing CrossFit gym with responsible and knowledgeable coaches, and an incredibly supportive and fun community. Mountain Strength also has an incredibly active trail running, Spartan and OCR membership, and runs regular Spartan training courses in addition to the usual CrossFit workouts - an added bonus if you like endurance sports!
The coaches are amazing - very knowledgeable and always willing to offer advice and support. The members are a wonderful and welcoming group of people.
I joined MSCF 2 years ago. I’m 55 years old and was a bit concerned it might be too much for me. The coaches and members are so supportive. Every movement and workout is scalable. We work hard, it’s chalkenging but safe and doable for everyone. I love it and my fitness level is improving every week!
I joined Mountain Strength just over five years ago, and it has literally changed my life. The community is friendly, welcoming, and supportive, and the coaches know how to work with athletes of all backgrounds and abilities.
Great place on many levels; great programs for all levels from ninja warriors to those who never exercised before. Most of all great people who like to have a great time in and out of the gym.
I have been working out at MSCF for almost 4 years. The ownership and coaching is exceptional. I have enjoyed going there from the first day I arrived to check it out.
MSCF has been a great experience for me. The combination of great coaches and a friendly and welcoming community really works. A lot of people are intimidated by the idea of crossfit (I certainly was) but Rich and his team will ease you into it. The workouts are challenging, but the coach will work with you to scale them to your ability, every day is different so it never gets boring or routine in the way normal gyms do.
I started going to MSCF 9 months ago (after wanting to try Crossfit for a few years). Ive always been an athlete but never comfortable lifting weights. But it turns out I LOVE it and Ive never felt stronger! The coaches are incredible and work with you and where you are, the workouts are fun, and the community is great. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good and different workout - no matter your fitness level!
Great CrossFit box in Winchester with members from all surrounding towns. Flexible class and open gym schedule. Friendly and supportive staff.
I’ve been at MSCF for 9 months and can’t say enough about my experience. The coaches are knowledgeable and friendly, the other members have become my friends, and the owners, Rich and Ari, could not be more approachable. People think CrossFit is expensive, and it is, but you get so much personal attention and accountability from it, that I couldn’t imagine just working out by myself anymore.
At MSCF the motto is strong body, strong mind, and it couldnt be more true. The environment and coaching caters to athletes of all levels. The community is there to support you and your goals. Whether youve never lifted weights before (which was my case), or youre seeking to reach your next personal achievement, MSCF will be by your side through the journey.
MSCF is an amazing and supportive community with incredible people. If youre looking to get fit and be part of something that will (seriously no joke) change your life, get your tush to MSCF.
Love this place. I have been coming here for 5 years and I am always learning from the incredible team of coaches. In addition to knowledgable coaches, MSCF has a great group of members. I have made so many great friends through out my years at MSCF.
Great community, amazing coaches, supportive, safe environment. This is my forever-gym!
I took my first class at Mountain Strength CrossFit almost one year ago. Tired of the same old workouts, it was time for something different. I was very nervous, because a lot of the moves look complex, but my concerns were immediately set at ease by the incredibly responsible and knowledgeable coaches. After the first class I was hooked! MSCF does a great job right away, setting up a initial training program to break down the moves in a personalized setting so that when you start taking the usual classes you feel more comfortable. The classes vary everyday so you don’t get bored, while also allowing for a great overall workout each week. I have seen huge changes in my strength and ability. Climbing a rope was not something I thought I would be doing at 40, and now I look forward to those workouts!Great gyms are hard to find, but great gyms with great people are even harder. MSCF has the most welcoming, supportive, fun community! I have many new friends from the gym, who really help push me to try my hardest and make me look forward to each workout. Not only does MSCF offer crossfit classes for kids and adults, they also have classes on health and nutrition. For those looking to run their first OCR race, or just want a little more practice, MSCF runs regular Spartan training classes.
Great programs and a supportive community
