Best rates and service in town - Not only that, but they walked me through everything they found and showed me how to identify the problems for myself in the future to avoid being charged with the wrong things elsewhere. They went the extra mile to get my car finished that same day so I would be able to use it for work and school, and as a student that made my life so much easier. Absolutely 10/10 experience and I can’t recommend them enough.
I brought in a car for a used car inspection, and Im glad Oz (manager) and his staff were there to help! Since I only had the car from the dealer for a short time, they went to work right away. They did a thorough inspection, made sure I understood all the maintenance issues with the car, and even provided some cost estimates. I was able to make a smart decision, thanks to Oz and his team. As soon as I walked in I was greeted . I came in because my a/c has not been working for A WHILE and was blown away by the customer service and professionalism. Straight to the point but still informative. Not pressured into any extra random services but still informed of how my car is doing in general. I will absolutely bring my car back without hesitation. Not to mention I pulled into the lot and things were taken care of in about 1 hour. Im very appreciative.
Took a day off from work and set an appointment in person for an oil change and inspection. When I returned in the afternoon to leave my car for its 2:00 appointment, I was stopped in the parking lot and told they were too busy and I no longer had an appointment. No call ahead of time to let me know they cancelled my appointment....No offer to reschedule. I have been happy with their service on all three of my vehicles in the past but am now shopping for a new service center.
As a female I try to stay away from places where I have to deal with things like auto repair. I took my vehicle in for service and was pleasantly surprised! The customer service was great. They treated me like my business mattered. They were professional and knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to me. I was worried about where I would have to wait but no need. The store was clean - including the bathroom which I was happy about. I was comfortable and will definitely be going back again when needed! Great job guys!!
I purchase an exhaust system on line and went to several places to see if I could get it installed the next day. However, every place I went to informed me that I would have to make an appointment for next week. As I awas driving home, I remember Meineke and I ask the manager if they installed catback exhaust. The manager told me they did and they could install the system today. I had my catback exhaust installed and the two tech who installed the exhaust knew exactly what they doing. As a matter of fact, the one tech stated he has been a tech for over 25 years and he loved being a mechanic and that I would be pleased with the install when they were done because they were going to do the job right because that the service Meineke performed. The manager also informed me that they would do the job right and I would be pleased. Well they did. I would recommend any one in the Winchester,VA area to take their auto to the Meineke in Winchester. They are very professional and the atmosphere is very friendly. I want to thank them so very much for installing my exhaust system. It sounds GREAT!!!!!
Great experience, the shop owner was very accommodating. I needed to have my muffler fixed and he called different places to find the part, patched it for the time being and I will return to have the permanent work done. Very pleasant experience, as a woman did not feel like I was being taken advantage of, will gladly revisit and recommend.

My wife and I were on a 10-day road trip to do some house hunting in the wine country of VA.2 hours away from our 1st night of lodging at about 4.30pm....we heard this noise coming from our 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee while we were on the highway.I was assuming it was coming from the muffler and was hunting and calling several places which no one could help because its close to closing time. I then found Os from Mineke which was 15 mins away us and Os had asked to bring it in to let him check it out BUT no guarantee he could even get the spare part if it was the muffler because of this an ancient vehicle 😉.After confirming its the muffler...Os made about 4 calls and managed to find a new replacement and had asked his 2 crew members to please stay late to install the muffler. They handled it very professionally and did an amazing job.This facility is very clean...great lighting and AC AND IT WAS A SORCHING DAY...quite inviting with comfy seating. These are wonderful people who actually helped us and stayed open till 7pm so that we could get back on the road...We HIGHLY RECOMMEND using them...if we could give this review 10 Stars...we would...THANK YOU SO MUCH Os & his crew members...
The price on brake repair was outrageous and when I expressed this the manager made excuses about needing to pay his workers. This seemed like a very unwise business practice, telling a customer that he values his employees over providing reasonable rates, which he seemed to be acknowledging were too high, also unwisely. I will not there again.
When my catalytic converter was stolen, Mr Nembhard went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me. He called the police and insurance company and managed everything efficiently and courteously. I highly recommend him for any service needs.
Called in advance to inquire on a Virginia Safety Inspection. Told me I could just come in and they’d accommodate me. Was in and out within the hour. Environment was clean and staff did an amazing job communicating the progress. 5 star professionalism
I have a small Toyota Yaris, took it in for inspection. Instead of them completing the inspection they said they needed to change only the right wheel barring in order to pass it. The wheel barring PAIR for back of my car cost $100 they charged me $263 PER barring and then labor that came out to $1,000 for this simple task! They basically double charged me! They said they completed the work in one day but they couldnt put a sticker on it because their inspector was out sick. Everyday he said the inspector is sick, hell be back in tomorrow and he wasnt. A whole week went by with me calling EVERYDAY trying to figure out what was going on with my car ( the owner would not call me to update me) and he continuously said the inspector was out sick. There was no need for my car to be here this long!Osbert offered when I was checking on my car the second day to take it to another shop (he said that Tues because I was in a rush). He lied because he didnt. I called back Wed and he gave me the story about the inspector being sick. I said you told me you were taking it to another shop for the sticker to be put on he sounded surprised and said oh well yes, I am taking it today, it should be done by 3, I will call you when its ready. No call came. Thursday I called again asking was my car done and did he take it to another shop like he promised, he said He did but they were busy and didnt get to it, its hard to find inspectors in this area, you can pick up the car but theres no sticker on it. Im livid now. Osbert himself said they close at 5:30 but I got a ride to go over there Thursday evening at 4 after work, the store was locked and my car was sitting right there in their garage. Im fed up because I had to ask for a ride again on Friday, my car had been there since Monday. I drove it off without a sticker, had to spend more money to get it inspected elsewhere. It took me 5 mins after this whole ordeal to call a local shop (literally 5 min away from them), bring my car to them and they performed the inspection no problem and gave me a sticker in 30 mins after I was repeatedly told theres no inspectors in this area, its hard to get one. He straight up lied and did not take the time to actually complete the job that was promised.Osbert is supposedly the owner and he offered no apologies or remorse for charging me basically the amount for all 4 barring and not two and wasting my time. When I received my car back there were still tire pressor indicators on the dashboard proving that the car had not been completely taken care of after being in the shop for a week. I asked the Osbert why is the the indicator still on and if there was anything wrong with the pressure and he said no. I then asked why was the indicator not reset, he said what do you mean? were we supposed to do that? he looked at me like I wasnt communicating clearly then tried to upsell me again on changing a tire pressor sensor because its Bad (it wasnt, it was just changed in DEC when I got all 4 new tires) Mind you, they told me the service light was on in the car for an oil change( I didnt see it on when I brought it in) and thats why they performed the oil change but when I received it back the service light wasnt on. If that was true, why did they reset that and not the tire pressure sensor?Im a young woman going to school and $1,000 is no small amount to me especially not for this kind of horrific service. I even overheard the shop owner say that he wanted to advertise inspections instead of oil changes because he can make more money doing inspections when they find things wrong with the car. Minimally I want to be charged fairly for what they actually performed but in reality, I know this was absolutely predatory. I need a refund because I now have to get a second opinion as I am not confident they even performed the work they said they did. This was an utterly horrible experience fueled by greed. This was extremely dishonest, DO NOT GO HERE IF YOURE A WOMAN!
Be careful about this place. Our truck was having problems, tried to sell us tie rods, tie rod ends, wheel bearings and an alignment for over $2400 dollars. Got the truck back home, all it needed was a front tire. Its running fine now. Not sure if they didnt know what they were doing or simply trying to take our money, just be aware.Update: Posted the estimate, as you can see over $3,400. Put two new front tires on, total $200. Runs fine now

I was able to get an appointment on the same day. The attendant was very nice. I got an oil change that was less than what I used to pay a Jiffy Lube. Meineke does a free tire rotation with an oil change!

First I want to say I HATE goint to the mechanic. To the point I Youtube how to do repairs myself and let inspection stickers go until ticketed. It was never a problem back home, but since moving to Virginia I have gotten a lot of talking down, lying, trying to overcharge, and frequently even baby talk. I hate it.I came here as a recommendation from a friend because they were towing expired inspections and plates from the property where I rent. They fit me in last minute and were awesome. I interacted with Osbert Ozzy and Brian. There was a third man there that I didnt talk to, but I am sure he does well, too. They fit me in at the end of the day, got everything done, were very pleasant, and I am beyond happy that after seven years of being in Virginia i finally have a mechanic.
I used to manage this shop until the new owner took over April 1st, 2020. I just wanted to say Thank You to all the customers that I met during my time working there. Dave and myself are no longer there. I got to know quite a bit of you and I looked forward going to work to take care of your auto needs. I took my truck in for an oil change and inspection. The place was empty so my truck got in fast. While waiting, the employee doing most of the customer interaction was especially off putting. Making crude, awkward jokes to customers. When new customers walked in he kept telling everyone that it was going to take at least a few hours to get their vehicle into the shop. The place was not that busy. I understand that he was trying to tell people it was going to take a little while to get there cars in but the way he was doing it made it seem like he was annoyed that several people came in in short order. He made the whole place feel tense. So after this experience I was happy to see my vehicle was finished...until I got into the drivers seat. First I noticed the giant patch of adhesive left on the windshield then I noticed that beside the old sticker was a crack (as seen in the picture). When I went in to talk to the employee previously mentioned he basically “explained” to me how it had to have already been there. But i told him it wasn’t there before... I would have seen it and they should have seen it during the inspection and should have made note of it. It was right beside the old sticker they somewhat removed. So he took a picture and said “my boss will have to call you back about it” to which I never got a phone call. I understand there may have been a tiny little crack that happened to have gotten bigger and more visible but combined with the fact of the awkward waiting room, the sticker remnants, and how he handled the situation all added up to the one star review and the bad taste in my mouth. DO NOT GO HERE. I would rather burn my vehicle than take it back there

I have used Meineke in the past and they were incredible. The mechanics are very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. However, I recently took my car there for alternator issues, and the man at the front desk was condescending and extremely rude. When I handed him my card to pay, he said, Why isnt your daddy paying for this? Later in the same small-talk conversation, he asked if I went to the nearby university and asked what I was studying. When I told him, he smirked and responded, Oh that is a great field, and then you wont be on daddys payroll anymore. Completely uncalled for and extremely unprofessional. Will not be taking my car back for any work.

I went to Meineke at 2290 Valley Avenue because they offered state inspection service and my car was due. Unfortunately, the car failed due to brake issues. I decided to let them do the repairs, and rotate my tires. It turned out to be a very good experience. They arranged to take me home, as the work would take several hours, and they came back to pick me up because my phone was not available. Really a nice touch, and thoughtful. The car is running smoothly now, with a new inspection sticker, and I was very pleased. Thanks to the crew and owner of this franshise!

He sent his only mechanic to lunch AT THE TIME my appointment was scheduled for. No couple minute grace period given. If you have an appointment schedueld for 12p and you send your mechanic to lunch as the clock turns to 12p THEN WHY EVEN TAKE APPOINTMENTS? AND!!! Instead of trying to help he hung up the phone on me and told me not to tell him how to run his business.. some one should! Unprofessional in the utmost way. When I moved to Winchester in 2014 there was a different person that ran this place. He was friendly, no nonsense, and talked to you straight. Since the place has come under new management, my experiences have continued to decline. At first I thought it was simply a personality difference, sometimes people can come off rude when theyre busy, but my last two experiences were bad and I wont be returning.My previous visit, which was for an inspection, I nearly got a lecture from not having replaced the correct number of tires previously... which is something that was done there. I ended up paying for an alignment due to tire tread wear. After that visit, my car still pulls to the right, and now the steering wheel shakes incredibly when doing 70mph on the highway. It did NOT do that previously.Today, when my daughters vehicle was brought in for an oil change, they didnt even pull the vehicle in to an hour after her appointment time. Then they called and told her that her oil cap was missing. No one has worked on that vehicle since last time it was serviced there. A week ago I jumped her vehicle, and I would have noticed if the oil cap was missing, its in an obvious location, the highest point in the center of the engine. When asked how its possible for it to be missing I was told it must have vibrated off which is complete balony... theres no possible way.All in all, I no longer trust this location with our vehicles. I dont know if its because Im a woman or if they do this to others...
I took my car in for an oil change and I cant say enough great things about this place! They were prompt and friendly and let me know about an issue with my exhaust but in no way made me feel pressured to have them fix it. I will definitely be recommending them to my family and friends.

Took car in for an oil change. Left with a damaged oil pan that cannot be reattached, oil leaking from the car, stains on my driveway, a quarter tank leaked out in a few days. STAY AWAY FROM THESE NEGLIGENT AMATEURS.

I needed my car inspected and my oil changed and because I work the same hours as this location I had no way of getting it done. I called in around 4:30 knowing they close at 5 and the gentleman on the phone told me that if I arrived at 4:45 I could still get my inspection done. I arrived with 8 mins to spare and they started my inspection. Worried about my oil needing to be changed and then closing he asked if I needed anything else and I told him my oil needed to be changed but I understood that they were closing and I would go somewhere else but he without a second breath said they’d handle it there. All of this was done in a shorter amount of time than I’ve ever waited for just one service anywhere else. On top of that before I pulled off the man at the front desk came outside with me to inspect my car and make sure everything the mechanic did was correct and all bases were checked. Best experience I’ve ever had with an inspection and oil change. Keep up the great service. I’ll only come here from now on !
(Note: I am editing this comment about 4 months later.) I made my appointment online last night to drop my vehicle off by 8 a.m. this morning. I left all the info they asked for (year, make, model, my name, phone number, email and services requested). I dropped my keys in the drop box since I got there earlier than expected. I hadnt heard a single word from them in hours, not a phone call, text message or email telling me they got my car and the information I left on their website for the services requested. I called them about 3 hours later and they told me that they saw my vehicle and got the keys but didnt know who the owner was, yet my information was in fact in their system. They TOLD me themselves they found my name on their system after I gave it to them, so how could they not see that I owned my vehicle?I let this slide. We are human. We make mistakes. We overlook things. Then they charged $98 for a diagnostic test, which I just thought was super expensive for that sort of test, but I now know that a diagnostic machine is quite expensive if its high quality. I was super upset at the time, but looking back a few months later I understand from a business perspective, they needed to charge SOMETHING for inspecting my car to see what was wrong with it. I was just super stressed and aggravated that it took so long and was going to cost so much extra money to fix it here rather than take it elsewhere for cheaper.Thats what I get for not doing my research ahead of time and being in a rush. Its not their fault. They were just doing their job.
My husband had an appointment for 8. The mechanic didnt show up until 9:15. They didnt even try to go for a drive until 11 at which point my husband is just going to leave. My grandmother is dying and were trying to make it to see her before she passes. Why bother having an appointment system if its not honored? So disappointed in the lack of professionalism and humanity. I believe this is being done on purpose so they can charge $100 for diagnostics without actually having to do any work.
The team at Meineke in Winchester are phenomenal! The AC to my Nissan sentra 2012 completely stopped working and I was able to get a last minute appointment on Saturday without any issues. Due to the engineering of my vehicle, it would have taken a normal dealership hours to remove the dashboard to get to the AC motor that was defective. The mechanic here was able to circumvent that and get my repair done within 2 hours. The team pointed out that I needed a new battery and even presented me with a free oil change. I only have great things to say about the gentleman who answered the phone. He was polite and professional throughout the entire process. Thank you guys for such great customer service and for a saving my car.

Though the job took all day it was completed properly and at the price that was quoted. The owner kept me informed of everything that was taking place with my vehicle and even escorted me out to the Bay Area to show me the progress underneath. Very positive experience and will return when future work is needed.
I just stopped in, in the off chance my light bulb for headlamp could be replaced. All mechanics were busy but I was helped anyway by the manager. He replaced my bulb and went above and beyond to help out before our impending bad weather. Much appreciated!!
Went in for a VERY overdue state inspection and oil change. They got me in right away, followed COVID safety protocols, offered me a drink, and were friendly and professional.The only reason I didnt pass inspection was because of how calcified my headlamps were. I had been putting it off for a long time (after trying unsuccessfully to do it myself), but their price was about half of other quotes I had gotten, so I agreed. It only took about 25 minutes and they are as clear as when they were new! Feel MUCH safer driving down the highway at night now that I can see the road better. The only thing I was disappointed about was that they said they couldnt make another repair I was hoping to do with parts that I had already bought, but I think thats just a liability and warranty issue that most chain shops adhere to. All in all, Im very satisfied with the service I received.
They illegally replace my catalytic converters with straight pipe. Never hook the computer up to find out the real problem. Turns out whats the mass air flow sensor I got it on eBay for $29. I only gave it a one star because they were nice to me even though they broke federal law and Virginia state law now all I want is my money back and my car fixed right its a lot cheaper then paying a hefty fine.
I will keep going here because the service is always friendly and professional not to mention its nice when you walk in and youre remembered. YOU are not JUST a customer to them. This is a place where you feel respected and valued and the customer/ client relationship is acknowledged!! Ten 🌟 stars!!!
So I walked into this shop after making an appointment online. I started talking to the guy behind the counter and the phone rang. Instead of asking me to wait a second he answered the phone while I was talking to him and waves it in my face and took the call. After he hung up I stated that he was rude and should have asked the caller to hold as I was already in a discussion with him. If I walked in while he was on the phone, i would have to wait. This guy, who called himself the manager, then proceeded to throw me out. If I could Id give this place a rating of -10.
They had my truck for 3 days because of the amount of repairs that need to be done. By the end when I got my truck back they had washed it and vacuum the inside. And my truck drives like it is brand new! Only thing is, and their quest for transparency, they make a lot of phone calls to you. Other than that I was happy with their service.

Had frontend work done not tp satisfied with the experience. Steering wheel not straight. Parts were under warranty but still had to nuy same parts twice . not to happy .
Took car in for inspection and was failed due to defrost not heating up. This sounded strange to me as it was working fine before taking it in. I was told to pass they would have to diagnose and pressure test at a cost of $90/hr, then would have to pay for any repair. I declined and pick up the car. Once I got the car, I truned the heat on and found that it was set to 56 deg F. Of course it would not generate heat at that setting. I pointed this out to the manager and he said that he was still concerned that the car was losing antifreeze and should be diagnosed. I took the car home to add antifreeze and found that the system was full. Not sure why he would say all of this? Maybe didnt want to admit that one of his mechanics made a mistake by having the heat set to 56? He asked me to bring it back the next day to get the sticker because he was closing in an hour and a half. Only takes a few seconds to apply a sticker. Not pleased with this experience and likely will not return until this location has a new manager.
Easily had the best experience Ive ever had from an auto repair shop. My Highlander Hybrid blew its radiator on a Sunday and I had to have it towed to the Toyota dealer nearby (and stay a night at a nearby hotel). When they told me they couldnt fix it until Tuesday, I brought it over to the Meineke.They ordered the part from out of town to arrive that day, fixed my radiator, and went above and beyond to ensure I was able to get on the road back home that night. They stayed open an additional hour & took a few testdrives with me just to make sure everything was good to go.Os & James were incredibly helpful and professional, the price was better than others quotes I received, and I enjoyed the experience so much I even stayed an extra 10 minutes just to chat with Os after the car was set. Seriously couldnt recommend these guys enough.
Went in for a state inspection. Was able to get it done which I was grateful for as many other places were closed/restricted service for inspections on the weekend. However the time estimate for when it would completed was in accurate. I was 6th in line for the day and they said approx 30-45 min per car. I called after 4.5 hours (the longer estimate) and my car was still next in line. I ended up going back to the store and it didn’t seem like anyone was in a rush to get it done. It took over 6 hours. Service was fine I guess but none of the mechanics seemed to hustle to get anything done. As far as COVID they did not enforce any mask usage and employees also were not wearing masks.
The new owner restored my faith in honesty. He righted a repair for me that was not taken care of before he even took over this business. Very kind and professional. He even shared his lunch with me since my waiting turned out to be longer than expected. Only went in for an inspection. I have been coming here for years and will continue coming to Meineke for my car needs.

They suggested I bring it in for a road test and they would see if we could diagnose it before I started spending money. I came in and they were able to do so. I did not need a tune-up and spent $0. These guys were really helpful and provided great customer service. It is very rare to encounter individuals who are willing to help you and not just trying to make a buck off you.
Everything was great! Everyone was nice and friendly. They stayed open past closing time to fix my car to make sure it would pass inspection. They explained everything clearly and gave fair and honest service and pricing. Thank you to the guys at Winchester Meineke.

Excellent customer service! I came to this place hoping to get my car check because it was making a screeching sound. They staff immediately took control of the situation and discovered that a rock was stuck in the wheel alignment and remove it. In addition, I arrived at their shop after it closed and was helped and treated with respect. Needless to say, I will continue to do business with them! I went back 2 weeks later to get my oil changed and state inspection done.Highly recommend it!
Went to 3 different stores and this was the best price and most timely for getting my exhaust fixed. They explained what needed to be done (and showed me) as well as gave timeline for parts and fixing it.

They were so nice, and fast! I was nervous to bring my kids with me but it is kid friendly, theres a little table, a t.v. and even an Xbox. My kid dropped a Lego and the owner helped us look for it while my car was being inspected, haha. And the place is big and very clean. Will definitely go back.
Customer service was bad. were treated with indifference. I didnt like throwing the problem at other people instead of solving it. I will never go again because it has caused us so much trouble
I appreciate the guy named Steven for the amazing work he did on my SUV! Not only was he very professional but he helped me to understand my truck and how the parts work. Didnt actually get an oil change there. I was a walk-in, their time to wait was acceptable, most other places were over a day, meineke said it would be 1.5 hrs so okay, but the man working the desk was rude and appeared very disinterested in my business, nobody inside was wearing a mask (required by law right now), the price was double what the ad right in front of me said, to which he responded its an old ad. Thats the price take it or leave it so I left. Had to call around to a few places to find someplace that had availability, but ended up finding much more polite service men, for the same price (price wasnt the problem, the attitudes, and lack of masks were) with a fraction of the wait time.
This place is pretty good if you want to come in with a car with a brand new battery, then need a jump start to leave. Plus, you get extra points if you get a mechanic thats cool with the staff to bring your car in for you.
Very nice crew, professional and clean. Will return for future needs.

David has been a patient and excellent representative of the your Meineke business. I schedule my visits when I visit there. It is 6 hours to go to them from South Charlotte NC. Additionally, on the last visit met Carl, who also rendered great service. The staff there is thorough, professional and dont scoff at my questions🙂
Scheduling an appointment online, does not actually schedule an appointment in their system. I made an appointment online for 9am, but was told when I arrived that the online scheduler does not communicate with their system. Thankfully, I had a ride to get home otherwise my 4mo daughter and myself would have been stuck or had to return at another time. When I dropped off my car I told them it needed a new ac compressor. They called me at 4:53 that night to tell me the needed an ac compressor. When I asked for a work estimate they said oh, I dont have that information. I waited for them to provide one before approving the work. The following day when they told me mg car was ready I asked for the total. Again I was told, i dont have that information ready. I again waited for them to provide me with the information before ending the call. Each time I was speaking with the owner who works the phone himself and is the one who provides estimates and totals. I decided to give them another try when I discovered they were under new management. Needless to say I will not be using them anymore.
It was a pleasure working with you all. You guys were very nice. You explained to me what was needed for my car. I felt, I was not pressured into doing anything that I felt unnecessary.Thank you for doing all the work of getting the right parts for my car.

I had an oil change at this location. Staff were friendly and courteous. My tire light was on and on examination they discovered a nail in my rear tire and repaired it. Thank you guys for being so thorough.
My 18 year old daughters experience today...Dad I’m sitting in this waiting area waiting for them to get to my oil change and there are 2 other middle aged men in here waiting too. So the employee gets up and goes over to the first guy and is like “sir would you like some water” and then walks PAST me to the second guy and says “sir would you like some water” then straight walks to the fridge and hands them both water and goes and sits back down 😂😂😂 like nah I’m good thanks
Originally went to the dealer to have my brakes looked at they said nothing was wrong. Went to Meineke and they looked at my brakes and confirmed I need new brakes and rotors. They got me into the shop very quick and started working on fixing my problem. Overall very happy with my service here. Very friendly staff as well
