La Mer is my go-to nail salon! I have had multiple dip manicures there and all of them last at ~least~ 3 weeks. Each manicure was done by a different employee — ALL of them were lovely to talk to, skilled, and professional. I am quite particular about the shape of my nails and the thickness of the dip application, yet I have ALWAYS been very impressed with their attention to detail. They can be busy (popular!), so calling ahead is always a great idea! :)

It is always a great day when I get my gel fill and gel pedicure at Le Mer Nails & Spa! I have been frequenting this salon for about 18 months and Hannah has been the first nail technician who has successfully transitioned me from tips to my natural nails with gel overlay. She takes her time with the application and has a unique technique that I have not seen done anywhere else.When I call to make my appointment, the owners are always so upbeat and pleasant and genuinely excited to hear from me. It makes me feel like a valued client! :)In March, I moved about 35-40 minutes away and when the salons were permitted to reopen, I tried several closer to my new home - NONE of them even came close to Hannah and La Mer.I make the trip every few weeks and its totally worth it. The care, kindness, and attention to detail I receive is worth the longer drive and my nails ALWAYS look FABULOUS!

I can not say enough good things about La Mer! I have visited many nail salons in the area and this is by far the best one. Hannah does an exceptional job every time I visit and I have had nothing but positive experiences with all other employees. I highly recommend!

I was able to walk in and was paired with Emmy. She gave the most relaxing pedicure! She was friendly, joked with me about my nail color choices, and did a wonderful job on both my pedicure and my manicure. Another woman whose name I didn’t get gave me the most painless eyebrow wax I’ve ever had. The salon was clean, smelled nice, and the atmosphere was relaxing. This was my first time at La Mer and I will definitely be back. Thank you so much for helping me with an impromptu pampering day!

The staff here is incredibly friendly and professional. I called ahead to reserve a time for a pedicure and they had me in not long after I arrived. The massage chairs feel great, and everything they used felt luxurious. The pedicurist didnt make me ever feel like they were rushing through any part of the pedicure or massage, and actually massaged my feet and legs much longer than I anticipated for such an affordable pedicure price. The music was incredibly peaceful and the environment made me feel so relaxed. I highly recommend this place and the herbal pedicure. Thank you, La Mer!

I absolutely love this place. Every time I go there is little to no wait and everyone is so friendly! Hannah does my nails and she’s the best! I always look forward to going and getting a great set! Can’t wait to go back in 2 weeks!

I had the best pedicure I have ever had here! The space was very calming and clean, it didnt smell like harsh chemicals like some nail salons do. My feet were in pretty bad shape and the woman who gave me my pedicure did an amazing job and gave a great leg/foot massage. Will only be going to La Mer from now on!

The first nail salon that kept their promise with Gel!. I have tried many salons in Wilmington and I used to spend a lot of money in order have my manicure last longer, usually it starts chipping within one week, but La Mer Nails salon, it has been more than 15 days without chipping, as you see in the pictures, my nails are growing yet none of them is chipping.Its worth driving 20 min.

My time at La Mer Nails & Spa was really nice I was well toke care of by Miss Hanna and my nails are exactly how I wanted. I will be making this my regular nail salon

When I first walked in there was sanitizer and a form to fill out for safety precautions. Customer and workers are kept socially distant by glass screens. Safety is a priority in this salon. Social distancing is practiced here and it was very very very clean. Jenifer was SO incredibly sweet. So appreciative of LA nails being open during these times.This is the only salon I trust and have been coming here for years. Prices are great & the quality is amazing. I recommend all my friends to this nail salon. 10/10 recommend!!

Wonderful salon! My nail technician was very nice. She was gentle with my nails while also being very thorough. I’m visiting from out of town but from now on when I’m in Wilmington I will be going here!Just to top it off, management walked around talking to guests making sure their experience was what they wanted. He even talked to my grandmother and I for a solid ten minutes! Great salon, clean and wonderful experience!

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. do not go here ever. they did me and my friends nails completely wrong and my friend had hair in her nails and when we called to get a refund she called us disrespectful and told us that she would not give us a refund and that she was going to tell the other nail salons in wilmington about us even though we did absolutely nothing wrong. she was being very unprofessional.my friends nails where burning so badly and felt like they where on fire and she said that was normal but when we went to another nail salon ( which the nail salon we went to after was amazing and they fixed our nails perfectly) they informed us that her nails should not have been burning like that at all. AND whenever we called to get our money back she hung up the phone and said we where rushing her even though she told us in the beginning that she does nails very quickly so shes the one who rushed them on her own.

Really awesome place to get my nails done. Prices - very reasonable for what you get. Staff - very polite and professional. Attention to detail - my manicurist was so sweet and was incredibly careful with cuticle clipping, buffing, and applying the polish. Clean - everything inside was well kept and gleaming.🥰

Went there 3 weeks ago and had dip nails. Almost all the nails had broken. I was told it was my fault for waiting so long for a fill in. I Have been going here for a long time. So I asked to go back to gel pink and white. I Was there from 12:00- 2:30 pm. Then what was usually $40.00 I was charged $55.00. I’m looking for a new place. Not happy. The new owners are not offering the same service.

I had an acrylic manicure with gel polish. I also had a design put on two nails. I love the final product. End result is high quality and absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention the woman doing my nails was so sweet. I highly recommend

Went in for SNS manicure. Nails started chipping and peeling within 3 days. Did not receive full manicure. Paint only. No cuticle softener or cut. I used to be a consistent client.

Eyebrows way too thin, bad nail job, used a nail file to scrape off skin on my daughter after he got gel nail polish on her finger. Total waste of $45, will have to draw in my eyebrows until they grow back!

I have recently gone back to La Mer in the past few months and I am so happy everytime I leave. My acrylic nails last me a solid 3 weeks. I have had both John and Hannah and both are awesome! They take the time to make sure everything is perfect. Nice to not have to venture far from Porter’s Neck to a nail salon.

It is very clean, all parts of their pedicure tub get cleaned entirely with proper cleaning products. The Pedicure it self is one of the best I have had. The massage was more than just a little rubbing it was actually a real massage. I was spoken to not around and he was very attentive to my needs likes and dislikes. I dont normally like pedicure but I would definitely recommend this place because I actually enjoyed myself.

Very friendly, clean and cozy spot to get your nails done. Their service is exceptional and they have a wide range of options including gel colors.They do great nails. A good place for nails. Super quick service! I was in and out in less than half an hour for a gel mani. I love how my nails came out. Even with the quick service, quality was not affected. I did not get the name of my nail tech but she did an amazing job. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place.

Waited 1 hr 15 min in a chair with acetone and foil sitting on my nails for manicure. Staff kept saying “it will be just a few more minutes” yet they kept taking appointments and seating people without enough staff to cover. I arrived and was seated prior to 3 appointments and one other walk in and was still sitting with nothing done after an hour and a half. I couldn’t take it when they told one more walk in customer that their wait would only be 10 minutes. I wasn’t offered anything for my wait...no water, no apology...nothing. This is not the nail salon it use to be. I’d pick another if you are looking for good “timely” service. They certainly will not Get my business again.

I love this place. I moved here from NY in June and have been going to La Mer ever since. Sweet people and very attentive. Kudos to John and Hannah.

Amateur nail techs. Told them I would like a pedicure but didn’t have time for an acrylic set. I told them I only have 40 minutes. Nail tech told me she could get me out in 40 minutes. I told him if they could do it I’ll take service. I did not leave until over an hour later and made meLate to my next appointment. 10/10 did not get what I wanted. More concerned with the sale then the actual customer.

I was nervous having to find a new place to get my nails done once I moved up to the Porters Neck area from Carolina Beach. I did a google search for nail salons nearby and WOW did I get lucky when I made an appointment here with John!! He is a perfectionist when it comes to making sure my nails are just the way I like them during the entire process right up until the time I walk out the door (and believe me I can be picky about how they are shaped - LOL!)! Went here on the recommendation of my Daughter in Law and was very pleased. Beautiful new equipment. Happy laughing staff. Great nature show on TVs with closed captions on. Deluxe pedi, $35, well worth the price for the very long lower leg massage. Vinny is Owner. He and Ginger seemed very popular. I had Lan, who did an excellent job and will go see her again.

Don’t waste your time! Customer service clearly isn’t top priority here or there concern in word of mouth that could make or break your business.

I was given a gift card as a birthday present from my grandmother and went with her for a girls day out. I was suppose to get the deluxe spa pedicure and my grandmother was suppose to get a regular pedicure. There was no difference in services. My daughter was with us as well and I paid for her to get her nails polished as well. I checked my bank statement and they double charged the tip. Now I can not get ahold of them to resolve the issue. I would not go there ever again. Even my grandmother was unhappy with the service as they left her nails sharp and uneven.

Very dissatisfied. Been here a dozen times. My nails almost always peel off and that is with gels. Ginger always pushes extra services which is often uncomfortable. I will not be going back..

The new owner badmouthed the previous owners while I was getting a manicure—entirely unprofessional. Sally barely took the time to put lotion on my legs or feet; she rubbed the lotion long enough for it to be spread over my skin. My manicure massage was even more pathetic. She seemed entirely too concerned about making money and getting me out of the chair so she could move on to the next customer.Sally kept trying to upsell their services, such as pushing a shellac manicure and was so desperate to make a buck she even had the audacity to tell me that my eyebrows were unevenly shaped. Its funny, as that salon was the last salon to have waxed my brows. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a nail salon, where I am paying for services and was criticized.Will not go back to this salon, as Vinny and Ginger no longer operate it. Not impressed by new management or staff AT ALL. Don’t waste your money.

Have been to this salon for SNS manis done. And had a perfect experience. Everyone there was super friendly and welcomed. So enthusiasm Ive never met. He had done it exactly what I wanted ( No complaints about everything at the salon ). Would continue to return back this place and íts very nice placeeee!

The previous owners are BACK! Vinny, Ginger and Lyna have returned to manage La Mer. You are sure to get a quality mani or Pedi and GREAT customer service again under their management. So if you havent tried them in the last 9 months or so, come back! New state of the art pedi chairs and other upgrades. The terrible mani and pedi and customer service crew is GONE!!

Dont go here! Took my mom for a mani/pedi after my dad passed away and not only did the girl cut her toenails way too short, the guy stood next to her while she was trying to relax and read a magazine while getting her pedicure and gave her a 2 minute manicure that was awful! Then to make matters worse, the lady rolled her eyes when I wanted to pay with a credit card instead of cash even though there is a Mastercard/Visa sign on the door. We all know why they want cash! DO NOT GO HERE...WORST SALON EVER!

Was placed at a chair for pedicure for 25 min with feet soaking. Young man that completed the pedicure was looking all around the entire time, even while filing the nails etc. sub par service, will not be back.
