They were very polite towards me and easy to find. Loved the dog.
Must be nice. I was attempting to competitively bid a drainage / landscape job at my home. Following is the response that I received from these folks.Outdoor Creations Landscape & Design11:09 AM (1 hour ago)We do not do bids. Our consult fee is $225.00.Yes, I will. You never responded verbally, all communications were via E-mail. My opinion, my money, your opinion, your business. After many years of contract negotiation I do not commit funds without a competitive bid ... if you want a consultation fee, build it into your bid price and let your offer stand on its own merit, hopefully the bid and completed work will stand up to the test of performance. Good luck to you in the next 20 years of your enterprise.
Outdoor Creations does excellent work, very thorough. I always got compliments on my yard. Rays knowledge of plants is impressive. He set up my garden completely, including the irrigation, and putting up some additional shelves for plants, and I was very pleased with the result.
Quality, commitment and integrity. Detailed, reliable, and thorough from the very first introduction to the end result of the clients ambitions and project. And they support our local community in their downtime!
You get nothing but generalizations for your $225 consultation fee. NOTE THE OWNERS RESPONSE BELOW; what you will see is generalizations that any 12 year old could make; that I needed a drainage solution. duh! The bulkhead IS NOT THE SOLUTION to the underlying problem. It will be added protection after the drainage issue is solved. He was paid to offer ideas, not tell me I had to get someone else to give me ideas. Also, as the owner opines, my previously installed drain did not fail and had absolutely nothing to do with the problem he was paid to provide help with. It was installed to deal with driveway runoff and worked perfectly at that. I needed drains for a neighbors run-off. His $225 solution was that I should get an engineer to tell me. Couldnt even give me a clue as to what might make sense. As you will see in other reviews, my experience is apparently not unique.
Just finished up painting here. Have known the owner for a long time
New homeowner here, I had no idea what I was doing with my backyard and I let it go to waste. Luckily, Outdoor Creations made an oasis out of it.
I hired Outdoor Creations to provide some consulting services for landscaping the backyard of our new home. The consultation was paid but there was no consultation plan or end deliverable. The consultant spoke randomly about items that he might do with the backyard and ultimately ended up saying I needed to hire someone else to provide him with a plot plan before he would do anything. He was rather aggressive and rude in his interaction and his knowledge of the local area was poor. For example, he suggested that it may be difficult to grow palm trees in the sandy soil (palms grow on beaches...my entire neighborhood is filled with palm trees). The area I am looking to finish had also been recently cleared of trees and was basically a blank slate. I inquired about receiving a report regarding the visit and there was nothing to be provided. He would not return my calls on 5 different attempts. I asked the secretary to issue a refund for the $150 consultation fee and explained that he showed up at an unscheduled time, provided no real information during the visit, and provided no report to summarize his recommendation for how to proceed. There was no response from them regarding my request for a refund.
The other review is complete B.S. First Ray knows what hes talking about, and if he said palms wouldnt grow well they wouldnt. We hired Outdoor Creations to fix our numerous issues, and they knocked it out of the park. Previously we had rotated through all the big name lawn care companies, and when we contacted Outdoor Creations we were using Freedom Lawns. When we had our consult, Raymond Bray told us that our back yard was still dormant... it was July. Within a month after we fired Freedom Lawns and hired them I went from mowing the grass once every other week to twice a week. He can make zoysia thrive. Another thing, if you have a tree or bush that was planted by the home builders landscaper and it hasnt grown an inch since, theres a reason and Outdoor Creations can fix it. I wont lie their services arent cheap, but you get what you pay for. I have since recommended their services to all of my neighbors.
Very professional. They know landscape like no other Ive seen
As a landscape contractor myself there arent too many other landscapers Id refer work to, outdoor creations is definitely one of them.
Ray and his team are artists! Beautiful work!
Probably the worst company Ive ever dealt with.
