So far it has been amazing living here. The management is very nice. They host a lot of great events. The pool is cute and the workout room is nice. My apartment was very clean upon move in. I am very impressed.

Ive lived at Wilshire for 2 years now and Ive loved it! Everyone in the office is so nice and helpful. The maintenance team is always on top of things and quick to help! Its nice that everything is included in the price and its definitely one of the nicer apartments for student living in Wilmington.

I highly recommend Wilshire! We had an issue at first with a random roommate and Wilshire worked diligently to solve it! We found a solution and now our new roommate is great! The facilities are very clean, parking is great, and staff is so nice! 10/10 recommend!

If you are a parent looking for a safe/clean place for your child to live - THIS IS NOT IT!!Management continues to disregard request, the security gate is constantly broken and we have been asking for months for the ducts to be cleaned. there is literally black chunks coming out of the duct work. Current management response is that the quote from their own HVAC company is too high so they are seeking other quotes. Meanwhile my daughter cant breath in her own apartment. In addition, the charge for utilities is absurd. I do believe the issue is the old HVAC units not being properly maintained and/or needing to be replaced so they are extremely inefficient.

Overcharge for utilities. My daughter moved out of her apartment when school was canceled due to the pandemic. I called and let them know we would finish paying out the lease but WOULD NOT be paying overages on utilities. Now I’m still fighting with them on the electricity for the months my daughter WAS NOT living there. I would never rent from this company again. Her roommate had free utilities due to renewing her lease. When we didn’t renew, her electricity kept going up. Now they want us to pay for electricity when she wasn’t even living there. Look elsewhere..

First and foremost, Wilshire Landing nor Camden Forest isnt worth the time and effort for your bang-for-buck. Those locations are controlled by the same property manager. Logan Alston is the worst manager. My experience living there was the worst. The WIFI was terrible at each unit due to having a multiple building share one WIFI extended router. If you play video games or like streaming videos, movies etc. forget it will buffer all day long. It’s so bad you wont be able to finish work and school related assignments. Let me tell you about the maintenance request for living at Wilshire Landing and Camden Forest. It will take about 2 to 3 weeks in-order for someone to come out there and fix the related issues necessary in your unit. The property manager is called Preiss! Also, once move out day appears the property manager will charge you questionable charges on your portal once you moved out. They use the money to pocket for commission based. Basically, they upcharge tenants for expenses they didnt create. I wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to live at either location. The property manager will price gouge once you move out even if the unit is left in one peace. Save yourself from living at an off-campus student living facility you have better options at a cheaper market rate. Don’t live at a student living apartment complex you are bound to be screwed especially these locations.SincerelyFormer Tenant

Will charge you inappropriately when you move out. Refuse to walk through with students, then claim damages not actually there after you leave. For example, they claimed carpet need to be replaced (1yr old). The contractor who came to replace it was heard saying this carpet does not need to be replaced. Any routine upkeep or normal wear & tear is charged to tenets. -Parent review.

I have been living at Wilshire landing for a year now and just started a lease for the following year. Overall this place is really great, for the price of most off-campus housing, this one is relatively cheap and includes all the amenities and furnishings. Property management works with you as well as they can and everyone has been so sweet (office staff and maintenance combined). Overall its been pretty worth it. If theres any complaints Ive had since moving in its that it feels like they pretty up the place and make it seem perfect til youre already locked in. Then youre finding issues with your unit that can take a while to get fixed or get ignored. I wish that whoever is in charge of the financials for ILM student living would remember that everyone pays $650-800 to live at their properties and deserve amenities that work effectively (i.e. wifi, washer&dryer, AC, etc.) Other than that, though, Ive had a really nice time being a part of the community and like that I feel relatively safe and relaxed being here. Excited to finish out this next lease with this complex.

Wilshire Landing is a great place to live! Maintenance and staff are extremely friendly and on top of issues. Also, maintenance has an excellent response time given the they are also managing two other properties. My only reason for not giving five stars is the fenced dog area. It is really hard to see at night and for someone with a dog who is not off-leashed trained, I dont have a choice but to take her over there. With it being off in the woods and not well-lit, I dont feel extremely safe over there at night when I am by myself. Other than that, the complex is a great place for a college student to live!

I highly recommend NOT living here. The entire complex is FULL of people’s dogs poop. It’s literally everywhere. The actual halls, the walk pathway with rocks, in the grass. It’s absolutely disgusting. The amenities are trash. The office doesn’t care about their residents or anything important. Including situations where other residents neglect their dogs. They say they’re going to “handle” whatever situation it is, and never do. The property manager never seems to have any clue about what major complaints are going on, and even when she’s “informed” forever later she says she’s going to do things that she never does. The girls in the front are hardly ever helpful with anything it’s honestly sad. They’re rude or just sit there on their phones. The only truly polite and helpful people that work there are the maintenance guys. You pay so much money to live in a place that once you sign your lease they couldn’t care less about you. I loved my actual apartment (besides the fact you can hear everything from others), and was planning on even renting at their sister property for the next lease but didn’t want anything to do with them after seeing how poorly they handled literally every single situation. Don’t waste your money renting here.

Do not live here. The office people dont do anything to help. Our alarm hasnt worked since we moved in in August 2019, and we’ve sent in NUMEROUS requests to get it fixed, and they still havent fixed it (it’s april 2020). My bike was stolen in August there and they said they would look at the video footage and never got back to me. The gates that make it a “gated community constantly arent working. And they charge $700 a month. My friend who lived on the first floor had a roach infestation and bug exterminators did not help. Not worth the money

Terrible communication with the staff, dog feces everywhere (literal bags left on the steps), trash EVERYWHERE. Pool is never clean, gym is 2 machines and a few free weights (so the amenities are basically useless). You can pay much less, get more space, and be closer to campus. Do not fall for this, there are WAY better students living options. Dont bother complaining or putting in request, they will ignore all of them. THEY LIE TO YOU ABOUT MONEY- unless you can afford to pay more than your lease agrees to DO NOT live here.

Ive been living here for almost two years now and have been mostly satisfied with the apartment complex and its management. The quality of the apartment is good and a bit upscale compared to some other complexes. My main complaints stem with the repair times (our electronic door lock stopped working after hurricane Florence and was replaced with a key lock and after countless times saying theyd replace it, almost a year later and they havent.) The wifi is also atrociously slow. Overall though, I have enjoyed my time living at Wilshire Landing.

I have loved being at this property since the Preiss Company took over management. The staff is awesome. They have resident events each week with free food. This year they came up with the most amazing bro-tank seen in the picture above. The property has beautiful oak trees at the entrance, and they are adding new amenities this coming year like outdoor fitness equipment and renovating the clubhouse with a larger gym. I highly recommend this property to anyone based on the staff alone who is very knowledgeable and helpful to their residents.

I live here. The WiFi is absolutely terrible. I am a student and the majority of my classes are online. Netflix can hardly even load the home screen. There have been multiple times where I have had to leave the complex to submit an assignment for school because the WiFi is so bad. I have contacted the office and told them about it MULTIPLE times after three encountersthey finally sent out a “technician” to my apartment and all he did was unplug the router and plug it back in and told me that there was a “loose wire”. It still is terrible, still won’t even load Netflix or any other streaming apps. I will definitely not be renewing because of this issue.

I wanted to add a quick edit to this review. I originally gave Wilshire 1 star, but Im changing that to 3. The new property manager is definitely trying to turn Wilshires reputation around. Based on my last two years of living here though I could honestly write pages on how horrible it was. Didnt renew, but he has the potential to make things better.

The workers in the front office are by far the most difficult people I have ever had to deal with in my life. They are unorganized, absolutely undertrained, and conduct themselves in a very unprofessional manner. They lie and make up things just to drain money out of you. The actual apartments themselves are built super poorly, and with low qualitiy materials you can tell are cheap because they break so easily. All in all I lived there for over a year and I surly regret it, and if you are looking to live here I would 100% look somewhere else.

As previous reviews have said, if youre white this is a great place to live due to the racism that will allow you to do illegal activities and not get caught! However if youre black youll get illegally searched and have be charged for something that isnt even illegal! Isnt that so great. 0/10 do not recommend.

I dont think I have ever reviewed anything but theres a couple of things you should know:1- Ive submitted an average of two maintenance requests per month. (Not including my roommate.) The dryer breaks almost every time I do laundry.2- Ive gotten charges for things that dont apply to me. Ex: New parking sticker I never received (and many other charges.)3- The gift card you receive could be added to rent instead. I chose this option. It took several months of me asking for them to apply it before they actually did. In the beginning they claimed to have given me a gift card. This never happened but finally, they added it to my rent.4- I was set to move in early and asked for room B. A few days before move in I called to verify my move in date (highly recommend) and they said that my dad canceled it. He never did. I dont know why they had to lie about that.Thankfully I was able to move in. Unfortunately I got placed in the wrong room. Theres a charge for switching rooms of course.5- There has been a fly and ant problem since move in. (Dish soap helps with ants btw. Got rid of them after about two weeks) Flies stayed the entire year.6- After the hurricane we had a mold problem. My roommate and I called almost every day to get this issue resolved and they assured us they will get professionals soon. Weeks went by and we had to outsource our mold cleaning. We were sick for weeks. Eventually after a month they sent out the maintenance guys. They looked at our place and said it seemed fine.7- It smells like pee everywhere.TLDR: Stuff breaks often, unnecessary fees, dishonesty, bugs, pee, and mold.Even Progress 910 isnt this bad.Update: They were unable to retrieve my resident file but I literally moved out yesterday. Building 4009- 210. Hope this helps finding the file!

I like this place a lot. I would so much love to give this place 5 stars. But the high speed internet is not high speed at all. It feels like the lowest thing they can grant to tack on wifi as a draw card.If you are willing to pay for your own wifi then this place is amazing. But with wifi speeds under 1mbps a lot of the time (and even completely disconnecting from my pc or consoles at times) its hard to say that the wifi is a selling point. However, the staff is nice. The rooms are great. Location is SUPERB. And overall the place is really rad. If they fixed the wifi Id say this place is near perfect.

I lived in Wilshire Landing for two years. Over those two years my roommates and I experienced an abundance of issues that were either ignored or lazily dealt with. Car break-ins were not rare, pet waste all over the perimeter, faulty charges, and needles laying around the complex, yes needles. Photos can be provided if requested. I understand that a lot of these issues are caused by residence and not under the control of management, but should have been dealt with swiftly and professionally; we experienced the opposite. Over the course of 2 years, I personally had 4 faulty charges applied to my account. When confronting management, I was treated as if it were my fault. For the price of $600.00+ (still increasing), I would expect to receive Luxury Student Living, when in reality, this establishment is far from it. Better options would include Avalon Apartments, On-campus residence, or Lighthouse Apartments.

Pool area is DISGUSTING-floor is COVERED in urine stains, pool itself is rarely ever cleaned, the chairs are grimy and the complex itself is no different. The stairs and outside apartment areas are covered in questionable stains, cigarette butts, pieces of the wall that have broken off, Staff are unhelpful and rude--my roommate complained about the carpet in her room being dirty the day she moved in and the property manager very rudely told her she would have to pay 40 dollars if she expected Wilshire to clean the carpet that was messy long before she ever moved in. To everyone with sense, you should NOT be paying almost 700 dollars a month to live in a complex that is never cleaned or maintained. Look elsewhere for leasing!
