Excellent vet! Everyone is thoughtful and go out of their way to make sure all our questions are answered. I also feel comfortable just calling them if I have a concern.

Hands down the BEST vet we have ever had in 35 years of owning animals in 2 different states. Dr. Dugan is caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. He has seen us through many difficult times including navigating a bad dog fight, dealing with a dog with anxiety and putting down two of our pets that were more like family. This is hard stuff and having a partner who is truly interested in your family and your animal makes a huge deal. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always eager to help. I truly dont think you can do better in Wilmington then Dr. Dugan.

I have nothing but good things to say about my recent experience with Coast Carolina. My dog was not feeling good and I need to get an appointment as soon as possible, I called around to 7 different animal hospitals, including the vet that I had gone to for 7 years straight, and not a single place would squeeze my dog into get seen. Every single person I called made a comment like “oh yes he definitely should get seen by someone ASAP, but we can’t help you”. And then I called Coastal Carolina, and from the very first phone call I felt like this would be a very pleasant experience. They were able to squeeze an appointment in last minute and asked like it was issue or worry, unlike the other hospitals I called. And then I spoke with the Dr. Dugan, and I could that even though he just met my pup, he was as concerned for his well being as I was. I am thoroughly impressed with every single part of my visit on Monday with them and they have definitely gained an new loving customer and pup on their team! Charlee thanks you all!!

Dr. Dugan is the sweetest most caring man with your pets...been going for 17 years and would only trust him. I tried going to another vet in the area after my last dog passed away (it was still to sore to go back at first) but it was not the same experience - at all. I was back to CCAH by the second visit!

My family has been seeing Dr. Dugan for all our pets since I was about 6 years old. Now Im 26 and his amazing, caring staff hasnt changed one bit. They are always fantastic. We love Dr. Dugan!

Dr Dugan and staff are terrific and do just that little bit extra. Dr Dugan looked up the travel requirements to take our pet cat back to Europe and got all the paperwork to us in a 2day turnaround. Couldnt be more happy.

Took my moms dog to the vet for a tooth issue... they took her inside for a maximum of 10min. Came out with a whole other issue. Didnt see anything with the tooth. Then lays a 230$ bill in her lap. Dr Dugan says this is ok right? Really??? My mom said she wouldnt probably be able to eat for the rest of the month probably but its for her dog. They didnt do anything but bloodwork!!! 230$ in less then 10 min... they are crooks

Our pets have always received the most caring and competent service from the entire staff. They have been there for us throughout the lives and loss of our pets and continue to find no other veterinarian office as compassionate.They make sure we completely understand what is going on and make informed choices.

I visited here and had a great first time visit. From the time of scheduling the appointment until I checked out I received nothing but great customer service. Dr. Dugan was great as well. Its nice to visit a veterinarian that feels like they actually care about the animals they treat.

Wonderful, kind service and great care for my 16 year old cat. When I arrived I was very upset and the staff did an unbelievable job comforting me. Dr. Dugan was great in explaining how to treat my cat and I couldnt ask for better service.

I have been going to this vet since 2004. The rates may be a little higher than some other vets but they do not ever do any unnecessary tests or try and sell you anything. Just like other things in life this is worth the extra $5 here and there. Peace of mind is priceless.They give you the truth. They are patient with you and you are never made to feel like you are just a number. The care they take with the animals is outstanding. Over the years I have brought them all kinds of issues, being involved with rescue and they, well they, are OUTSTANDING.

My wife and I brought our Chihuahua in because she seemed to be in a little pain. The staff was so friendly and thorough, making sure they had all the correct information. We had a very short wait before we were brought into one of the examination rooms where we were greeted by Dr. Dugan, who is really very nice and caring. He gently proceeded with an exam until he found what seemed to be the problem. After a quick procedure our Olive was back to her happy, energetic self! I would highly recommend Dr. Dugan and his wonderful staff!

Ive been taking my animals here for 8 years. Dr. DUGAN is so gentle with the animals and everyone in the office is very nice. They all know your pets and you feel confident leaving your pet with them.

Dr. Dugan and his nurses are the best, they have taken care of our dogs for years. They are extremely compassionate and the preventive care they offer has really helped out 2 dogs to stay happy and healthy. My husband Jan-Michael and I highly recommend Coastal Carolina Animal Hospital.

Just a bunch of money grubbers!! Not sure they even care about your pet!!!! ALWAYS late !! If your appointment is at 4 you best bet you wont be seen till 5, and the desk lady isnt very kind either... stone cold!!! Like a brick wall!!changing vets!!! They wont be seeing my animals again!✌🏻

Great place with one exception the front desk lady is unbearable. She needs to learn you can be an efficient receptionist AND be personable! If Dr. Dugan wasnt so good I would actually I to a different place.

They wouldnt treat my dog without charging me to register him in NC, even though I was just visiting. I paid the fee bc Leo had a severe eye infection that needed to be dealt with immediately. The treatment administered was shotty at best, had to bring him to our vet when we got home, at which point I was informed that Leo could have lost his eyesight due to it not being treated properly by CCAH. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

Dr. Dugan and his team are so wonderful. We take our french bulldog here and weve always received very courteous and caring service. When we were calling around to find a vet Dr. Dugans vet tech spoke with us on the phone and answered any questions we had so patiently. The receptionists are always kind and easily schedule or reschedule appointments based on whats convenient for us and schedule to see us same day in cases where we were worried. They also call to remind us of our appointments the day before.All of the vet techs are so sweet to our dog and very reassuring about any procedures they are doing. Dr. Dugan always takes the time to answer my laundry list of questions about vaccinations, skin issues, bathroom issues, or anything under the sun and our dog loves him - even when shes getting shots (which she never notices). I feel like our dog receives the absolute best care here.Facilities are very clean as well.

Very disappointed. I called and spoke to someone twice about having medication called in to the pharmacy for my cat who has asthma because she received care here recently and I was told we could just call in her medicine when her asthma started acting up again. I spent all day waiting when I could have taken her in somewhere and received treatment immediately instead. Expensive, very rude receptionist, and uncaring. If they arent making money off you they dont care about your pet.

This vet is great. I had been taking my dog to another vet for years for her recurring ear infections/ allergies and they kept giving her more ear drops on top of anti-biotics each visit and finally i took her to see him and he not only charged less than Ive ever spent at the other, but took the time to have all of her records sent over to review all the meds and look over them to see and come to the exact conclusion of what her main allergies were. The other vet came up with many costly hit or miss solutions and thousands of dollars later still no improvement. Not only did he take much more time with her and her needs but pin-pointed exactly what her issue was being caused by, but with great sincere while doing so. He is a great vet who really cares about his patients and has tons of experience with not only my dog but many animals of mine over the years such as bird, hamster, and cat. I strongly recommend him over any others in Wilmington. He is great at what he does and seems to love every day of it. Thank you Dr. Dugan!!!!
