My experience with the staff and service at Campanellas was nothing short of excellent. They kept me informed at every step of the way, including a very user-friendly online system where I could view their whole inspection, which components they tested/reviewed, and the level of priority for which needed to be serviced or replaced. From start to finish, I interacted with five staff members and all were exceptionally professional and attentive. They discovered some other work that needed to be done in addition to the problem, but never once did I feel as though they could not be trusted or were trying to take advantage, as I have felt at previous shops. Now my AC is finally working 100% and the car feels so much smoother to drive! I have already recommended this shop to multiple friends in just one week.

Paul Campanellas is the most professional, friendly, courteous, and fast auto industry business Ive encountered. I have dealt with them before (on an older car with a bunch of issues), and today they repaired a leak in my tire quickly, and at very short notice. They provide way better service than the shop at any dealership - I also booked a service for the next day while my dealership was scheduling a month into the future. I would recommend this place to anyone - they understand the power of good customer service, unlike most mechanic shops.

I had taken my car to 3 different shops to get my tire changed before I had the luck to find this shop. Noone could remove the tire because my lug nuts had been stripped. These guys handled everything!

Went here for a spare tire for my 2014 Kia... So not the most luxurious of cars... So not looking and fancy bells and whistles. Wasnt looking for any labor to put the wheel on, just didnt get one when I bought my car so I decided for the safety of me and my unborn baby (as Im expecting) it would be a smart thing to do. And my husband agreed and went with me. And they had the nerve, the audacity, to charge $1000 for a single spare tire, no labor included, and only one month warranty. Knowing we were dissatisfied, tried to make it seem like we were crazy for not accepting their offer. Well, sorry Im not stupid enough to be ripped off. Thanks but no thanks.

From Andy at the front desk and gentleman who drove me home and Paul, I was extremely pleased with how they handled my car issues . The service was prompt and thorough. I’m new to Wilmington and needed a place to take my car to for routine services. Paul Campanella’s was a great find. After I dropped my car off, they gave me a ride home so I did not have to wait there. They also gave me a detailed report of their findings after looking at my car. It was nice to see the breakdown of everything and make a decision on what needed to be fixed first. I will be coming back and recommending them to anyone new in the Wilmington area!

Thought I needed maybe some work. Found Campanellas and saw how highly rated they were. Excellent customer service and communication. Sent texts with photos regarding where they were at with my vehicle. Easy to understand and gave a really clear idea what I needed done. Unfortunately my truck is beyond repair, but they were very honest in telling me and did not charge me for the diagnostic. The only reason work was done was because the sad state of my truck. This is the cleanest and most comfortable auto shop I have ever been to. The parts, service, knowledge of the staff, patience of the staff, kind and happy attitudes of the staff was exceptional and by far blows five stars away. I have used Paul Campanellas several times for jobs I cannot do myself. They provide dealer-quality service and provide excellent feedback on the condition of your vehicle as part of their multi-point inspection. Not the cheapest, but you can leave there worry-free.

The absolute best experience a customer could have! I traveled to Wilmington for a friends wedding. When I arrived at the hotel, I could hear and see a screw in my tire that graced my arrival. I rushed to Paul Campanellas to get a tire plug. From start to finish, their team was amazing!! The professionalism is outstanding when I walked in on my 8/31/21appointment. The diagnostics was overwhelming to me but they worked with me to satisfy payment.9/1/21 work completed.

$488 to replace a 2001 Volvo’s ignition coil? This place is actually *worse* than a dealership. $145 in diagnostic charges for the bad coil (AKA, plugging in an ODBII scanner and clicking “read”), + $180 in labor to replace it... on TOP of part cost, of course. Coils on this older car are *right* on top of the engine.. I could have replaced this in :10 minutes. :20-:30 to be safe. I would have been fine with around $250 ($100 for labor and $150 for the coil + misc parts would have been fine). $488? I guess I’m going to consider it a surcharge for a same-day turnaround in an emergency. Only way I can mentally handle the scam that just occurred... Don’t go here if you’re frugal or have ever done any of your own work, as you will be taken for a ride and you’ll look at the bill and shake your head. This place might approach tolerable if the diagnostic fee got waived if you decide to have the work done here, like 99% of the other garages that do this, but to charge it on top of the bill regardless, makes smaller jobs like this neigh 100% markup.

This is done, not to run up the price of service, but to alert me of current or potential future problems that I should consider addressing now or in the future. They provide excellent and friendly services and I am fully confident in their work.

Drove from Dawsonville GA (go Chase Elliott) to pickup a camper that I bought in NJ.On the way back the water pump went out. I looked up on Google for a Automotive shop, and I saw your advertisement and called. I talked to Matthew and he was so helpful. We limped over to the shop, I was impressed with the professionalism when I talked to Matthew and Paul, I told them I was from Georgia and needed help. They took my truck right in and diagnosed the problem. They said it would be around 5pm before the repairs would be completed. They drove us to a local coffee shop so we could wait.Matthew called and kept me informed of the process, around 4pm Matthew called and said that they found another problem and it would be in the morning before they could get the part. He had the shuttle driver pick us up and take us to the Hotel.The next morning Matthew called and said the part had arrived and he thought they would be done by noon.The shuttle driver picked us up at noon and took us to the shop. The truck was ready to go.Just wanted to thank Matthew, Paul and Steve and the rest of the guys!!

We were traveling quite a long distance to come to A. I. Dupont Nemours Childrens Hospital and to stay at the Ronald McDonald House near by.In the last mile to the hospital (for a routine visit), our van had a major electrical issue causing erratic shifting. We made it to the hospital and asked several people where we should take our car. Hands down, everyone agreed we should come to Paul Campanellas.We took the van to Paul Campanellas and we are so grateful. The Campanellas Team was able to get our vehicle seen, worked on and back to us in less than 24 hours. We were worried the van would need extensive repairs, but the team was kind and reassuring.The facility is so clean, neat, and tidy. The waiting room is very comfotable AND dog friendly. As a woman I usually cringe when I enter a mechanics shop of any kind. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved about the cleanliness for me and my family. (Even the bathrooms were very clean!)Mr. Campanella came out to greet us and ask how our experience was. We explained our situation and how grateful and pleased we were to work with their company. I was with my daughter at AI DUPONT HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN for 4 appointments and noticed when I got there I was losing air in one if the tires, in between appointments went and out air and within a couple hours the tire was almost flat again, googled for tire repair and found this business - I called and let them know what was going and since I was from out of state, wanted to see if they would be able to take a look at it after 4:00 PM . I was told yes to come in and they went far and beyond any auto shop i have ever dealt with, they were amazing and so helpful with my situation and they even let my daughter who is special needs go inside even though wait area was already closed and we were able to wait inside so we wouldn’t have to wait outside while they worked on the tire . I would highly recommend them to anyone in Delaware or from out of state as I was . Steve thank you again for helping out the way you and everyone there did for my daughter and myself .

Long story short. They told me I needed 1300 worth of work and brakes/rotors. I took it to another shop just to double check what this shop said. Come to find out that 1300 job was only 150. You might win some but you just lost one No cap!

Was quoted just short of $1,500 for a job that others quote for between $400-500. Charged a $95 diagnostic when I told them what was needed. They just charged to go over the car for what others do for free. Basically looking for other things wrong.On the good side they have a shuttle service. I could rent a limo and go to other places and get it done cheaper.I do not recommend this business if money matters to you at all.

Very pleased with the service I have received today. What separates this shop from the others by far is the customer service. From calling over the phone, coming to the shop and receiving a ride share (to and from my house), everyone that I had come in contact with were very professional and kind. They aren’t pushy or abrupt like other shops. They offer a free ride share since the waiting room isn’t open (they have little chairs outside too). Since I received a ride, they texted me an inspection overview of my car and showed me what was good what was nonurgent and what was urgent. It was a detailed report of my car that I have been handed by any other shop. To top off my great experience here, they had given me a coupon for a free car wash for somewhere local. Hello, I have owned 5 cars in my life time. I know when a tune up is due or when I need my spark plugs changed. Also I do have mechanical background very lightly. I knew my car needed new spark plugs i drive my car for delivery. I toke my car here and the guy told me it shouldnt cost more then 195 dollars when i asked him specifically how much to change my spark plug. He asked me why do i feel i need a change I told him its a little jumpy when i accelerate sometimes. I had to call them 5 hrs later for a update and he tells me they just getting to my car i said okay. When they finally call me to my surprise my car car is not done almost 7 hrs later and they didnt do the work but instead did a full analysis of my car and said the total price to change my spark plugs for a 2013 Hyundai Elantra would cost me $340 dollars. He said its a special piece they have to deal with that makes the price higher. Please keep in mind i am 35 but i look like im in my early 20s. I already had way cheaper quotes from other places and paid the price foe the full analysis i did not request and toke my car dow. The street to Harveys Auto and paid $155 for the same service and without the extra analysis charge. I would have saved my hard earn money if i could have shopped around for prices first. This auto shop is expensive and it is not the best in town (personal opinion). I do not like sudden large charges when i take my car to a place to get a specific fix. I knew everything wrong with my car due to already paying pep boys to analyze my car. If i knew they were gonna do that and charge me for it and have a price of $340 to change my spark plugs i would have never stepped foot in that place. I hope you read this and price check with other shops in the area. Harvey has over 40 years of experience and been open for 40 years. It was half the price and they got it done quicker then Paul Campanella was able to do the analysis. If you value your money and time please shop around Wilmington before taking your car to this place. I personally never dealt with this with none of my cars for a simple spark plug change.

After running a very thorough diagnostic, Doug took the time to speak with me about items that should be taken care of for an upcoming inspection. Not only did they fix my tire, they took care of a number of trouble issues that I have been putting off for some time. My car was not completed same day, so they offered me a loaner car without me even asking about it. The car was done early the next morning and I was paid up and off the lot in minutes. What a tremendous experience, at an incredible price. I would recommend Campanella’s to anyone.

This is an upstanding business!! They go above and beyond to service their customers! There prices are higher than others but I feel they are completely transparent and do not bully you into paying. They honor the word No. I have gone to the less expensive auto shops and ended up having to get the same repair again sooner rather than later.Having said all of that, I have to praise them even more today. I was picking up my car very close to their end of day, en route I realized I left a payment method home. Traveling via Lyft, I knew I did not have time to go back and retrieve it. I arrived at the auto shop explained my dilemma. Near tears (anxiety), I asked if there were alternate ways to pay but none of them worked. A service member (apologize I cannot recall his name) offered to take me home to get my card. In addition, other service members stayed behind to receive my payment via phone. When I arrived to get my car, a service member greeted me, relayed some information and even gave advice. I hate to even mention this but after reading some of their negative reviews. I have to say that as a Black woman, I have NEVER experienced any discrimination. Ever... Period.

Initial service visit: to check a 1 year old battery (from Campanella’s) which needed a re-charge.Battery tested and was charged. However, technician found several other needed services, e.g. replace fluids (brake & transmission), A/C service, fuel induction service, replace Broken engine torque mount, replace broken High Mount stop lamp assembly, replace brake/plate lights.Matthew (Service Advisor) communicated often and provided explanations of the above services. Matthew provided the service priorities and left the decision to me without “Push”. This vehicle, 2006 Toyota Avalon Limited, has relatively low mileage (less than 5,500 miles per year), has excellent performance and has an attractive black exterior. Accordingly, I opted to have all work completed to keep this utility vehicle in excellent health.

The staff at Paul Campanellas drove me home after I took my car to them for work on the 4 wheel drive system. My car was returned to me after having been serviced and sanitized. I appreciated the concern for my health and the ability to have my car returned to me. Thank you for the great service.

Wonderful first time experience today!! Had some metal stuck in my tire slowly leaking air Tuesday night. When I called Wednesday morning, they were able to get me in right away and fixed the problem!
