Quality of work has gone way downhill in the past year. I left my car overnight and was told I’d have my car ready to get picked up the next day. When I came to get it 30 minutes before close the next day they told me they were waiting on parts to do my alignment and couldn’t get it done in time. Could’ve called me and let me know, but whatever. So when I came to get it the next day they told me everything was under warranty for the work they did on my vehicle. Less than two weeks later the car was shaking like crazy on the road and my brakes and clutch ended up locking up, when I brought it to another place they pointed out a ton of real obvious issues a mechanic should have seen, and then printed off an alignment report for me showing how bad the alignment was by the time they got it. So when I called up market street and asked for a refund on labor costs he told me he didn’t do anything wrong and hung up on me. They used to be a great place for honest mechanic work, but I’m never bringing a car here again.

The customer service at this establishment is excellent, if I could give them a 20 star I would. Always friendly and you can feel the presence of God there. The lobby has inspiring quotes which are really nice. Fast turnarounds and quality work is what makes this a good place to have all of your vehicle maintenance taken care of.

This kid at the front desk with some herpes all over his face is a punk. They broke my TPMS sensor and when I called this pimple told me they didnt Ive never had an issue with it until after they touched my tires so who else did it o do not recommend these crooks

Market Street Used Tires & Auto is where we go for our tires! They always had what we need in stock and make light work of getting us in/out, without bleeding our pockets dry! Customer service is outstanding!

I had a terrible experience with this place and I would like to say maybe isnt always the case but I came here wanting 2 used tires and a alignment. Customer service was great by all means but it took 3 and a half hours to put on 2 tires and they never got to my alignment because the machine wasnt working I dont understand why they kept trying when it didnt work the first time. They help me up a extra 2 hours for nothing and put a small dent in my fender when putting on my tire and still charged me full price

Some of the most trustworthy people I have ever met! If you need work done on your car, come here! They are friendly, cheap, hardworking and respectful. They are veryknowledgable about most cars, and they will never take advantage of you. Highly recommend!

My husband and I have been here on several occasions ana referred everyone who needs tires as well. They are super efficient and really friendly. Yesterday we went to get 4 tires for my car replaced, and last night I drove over a nail (what luck, huh?). I took it in this morning to get patched and they were nice enough to waive the fee for me.Will definitely keep referring people and going back. They’re awesome!

If I could rate negative stars I would. I had flat tire, I brought my car to this place and asked them if they could put a new tire on my car. They told me yes and took my keys. When they cashed me out my total came up to only $16.. I asked why? they told me I had a nail in my tire and they patched it. On my way to work my steering wheel was shaking so bad I had to pull over, I finally made it to work. When I got to work and got out of my car, you could literally hear the air leaking from tire, by the time I got off work my tire was flat again. I took my car back to used tire & auto on market st and asked them for a tire..once again they did not give me a tire they said they found another leak and charged me another tire patch fee, even though I asked for a tire & not for my tire to be patched. The next day my tire was flat AGAIN sitting on the rim. When I went back to used tire on market st. and expressed to them that this is my third coming up here asking for a tire and I’ve waisted time and money on tire patches they showed no empathy and said that they could sale me a tire at full price. The lady at the front desk said there reason for patching my tire and charging me a tire patch fee twice was to save me money. When in all actuality I’ve waisted money because now I STILL NEED A TIRE.. at this point I don’t want your service anymore, they have bad customer service. The lady at the front desk has a nasty attitude. & if you couldn’t get my tire right the first two times I’m not spending my money with you a third time! I don’t recommend coming to this place at all.

Very affordable and quick. Didn’t need an appointment and they had me out in less than an hour. Plus everyone was wearing masks. I will be back and recommending for sure.

Brought car in for simple inspection. After 2 and a half hours with no call, went to see if it was done and they said it was too early to do an inspection but there was a “nail” in the tire. As many people claim have happened to them in the reviews. Granted they showed a nail and a picture yet seemed off considering the man at the front desk was extremely defensive. I had to tell him there was no reason to get angry with me but it would’ve been more professional to call the owner and ask for permission before charging. Although the concern for safety was appreciated, the attitude after requesting a simple action be done before performing services on a car was ridiculous. As I’m about to leave he murmurs “it wouldn’t have passed inspection anyways”. Pretty unimpressed.

So I had the worst day ever. Was told by one shop I needed $1500 dollars worth of work on the front end of my truck. Dealer want almost double. Stopped by this shop because I passed it. The guy at the front desk was so awesome. Took the time to dig on the wed for what I needed. 3 hours later, and $ 380 later Im golden. Shane you are the man! Your crew is the best. Everyone that worked on it let me know what the deal was. By the way the family that owns this spot is just beautiful. Love this place! Highly recommended...

Took my car in for a simple vac and charge, replaced all of the o rings that were leaking so not a single leak. Just needed a vac and charge as stated and I get it back with a crimp in the condenser side of the radiator that wasnt there before. I made sure that there were no leaks as I said and all of the lines were perfect, but ended up with something far worse than what went in. Im very mechanically inclined just dont have a vac/charge system, car was ready for a simple maintenance.

Stopped in on a recommendation to get a tire plugged. Nail in sidewall so couldnt plug. They sold me a new tire at a great price and had it on and out the door in a jiffy. This is my new go to auto repair place.

They sold me two rotten tires that I had to get changed immediately after I bought them and they told me I had something wrong with my tie rod ends. They asked for a deposit to get it fixed but I went somewhere else to double check if they were telling the truth. When I got it checked again I found out that they lied to me and there was nothing wrong. They wanted to charge me and fix something that had nothing wrong with it.

Great family owned business!!! Hard to find honest people now a days, or a honest, well run business with high morals and standards!! At Market Street Tire Shop, you get both!!! Honest owners and employees!! You can tell their ethics and religious values, are represented throughout their whole staff!!! I would give 10 Stars, if I could!!! Go see Luis, Shane or Juan and I assure You will not be disappointed!! Just two weeks ago, I had two sick children and had to have some work done. I called and asked them if they could work me in. A short time later, they called me back and said come on in!! I was expecting to be there for a hour or so, but they were able to get me in and out the door in less than 25 Minutes!!! That right there, made me a customer for the rest of my life!!! Not to mention they did this at a fraction of the cost, of two other local tire shops!!! The inspection was fast, but the mechanic wasnt wearing a mask.

If you are looking for a fast service such as a car inspection or a wheel alignment don’t go here because you’ll end up waiting 2 hours+. I also forgot to mention why wait two hours if they can’t even do their job right. I paid $80, and they didn’t even align my wheels!. Seriously don’t go here.

Great used tire shop. I had a bubble form on my tire while on vacation. The staff at Market Street Tires were very helpful and professional. They did not try and take advantage of my desperate situation. The service was quick and efficient. $53 later I left with peace of mind I could make it home safely and got a tire with lots of tread still left. They were even kind enough to put my spare away for me. I would highly recommend this tire shop.

Had a freak accident blowout on the way out, was over my roadside mile range and paid the extra just to have my car towed to Market Street Used Tire & Auto Service. I’ve been here over three times now and these guys have always been the best service and performance wise, so honest and understanding! They saved me over $600 today during my visit and I couldn’t be more appreciative and thankful for honest mechanics in Wilmington! Their used tires are also VERY good quality and last quite a while, I recommend them for any vehicle services!

The staff is always super friendly and they always give me a good deal. I went in once and I was sure my control arm was bad. Told Luis, the owner, what I though was wrong and I wanted it replaced. I went home and an hour later he called to tell me it was loose and he tightened it up, no charge! Only honest mechanic Ive been to in this town.

Always come here for good prices on used tires. Van broke down in parking lot while I was getting a used tire. My starter had gone bad. The guys took care of it for me at a reasonable price.

Although cheap good tires, they claim to have balanced each tire, which was the FURTHEST from the truth.I called back to discuss and was told that they were done when installed and they will not redoEach tire was off pretty significantly when brought to another shop costing another 43+ bucks.Overall not bad, but know going in, you may have to spend more to have them balanced correctly

This is a great place to get a used tire for a good price the only reason I didnt do 5 stars is bc after replacing the flat tire I had, they found another nail in a separate tire that looked suspiciously new and in a convenient location (not patchable) soo Im not saying I know for sure that one of the mechanics threw a nail in it quickly but it seemed somewhat possible

I’ve purchased 2 sets of used tires from Luis and his crew. I do a lot of driving. The first set was a set were 35’s and lasted about 8 months. They only failed when I put too much weight in the truck for the ply rating of the tires. I purchased the second set on July the 13th, same day of the tire failure from the first set. Yesterday July 31st the sidewalk of one of these tires came apart while driving down I-40. I came into Market Street Used Tires and explained what happened and Luis put another tire on my truck at no charge, even though there is a sign saying that the tires are sold as is with no warranty. Luis is a honest business man and understands customer service. While I was there today I had them price me a new set of tires, they are more reasonable than anyone else I’ve in town. I will definitely be coming back for that new set of tires.

Had a nail in my tire, called around and this was the only place that said they’d take a look. Went in the morning they took my car straight back, patched the tire and we were done within 10 minutes! Great service and they didn’t overcharge me. Def recommend!

Got good used tires on my truck from this place at a pretty standard price, just like everyone else here in the area I drive an old Chevy and good used tires are hard to find, and they were the only place in town at the time that had the tires I needed... I was told it would be a while and after waiting an hour and a half, someone came up to me and said they could take my truck the next day because my tires were on the very back of the trailer that came in so they would have to move like 200 tires to get to them, but they would be willing to knock the price down a little. After insisting that I needed my tires that day and explained them about my wait, they still went back and emptied the trailer to get my tires on for me. He explained that he was short staffed and apologized about the wait. The customer service was great and Im very satisfied with the tires I got, but I would definitely be sure to call and check on the wait time.

I went in to change a tire. After, I went to get my oil changed at a different business. At the second business they pointed out that there are 2 more tires that need to be replaced ASAP. Like, a gash on the tire ASAP.No one at market st used tires took the time to check the other tires. No one took the time to communicate with me. If they did, their sales would have increased today. I would have been willing to handle it then and there.This business has lost my trust.If you wanna go there, just know their observance skills and customer skills suck. Better off going to Seaside, or other used tire shops.

I needed a tire changed at 5:55pm on SATURDAY so that I could get home to Winston Salem. These guys stayed open just for me when I couldnt even get there until 6:15pm. Fixed me up and charged a very fair price. This is an ethical and trustworthy business well worth your patronage.

This small auto mechanic shop is one of the best I have seen in Wilmington. The owner and head mechanic is both honest and trustworthy. A rare sight Im on mechanics nowadays.

Would not recommend this place. Bought a used tire from them today and they tore my rim up. It now has three weights on it and beat all to hell. The rim is bent. Considering legal action. They did not mention to me that they tore my rim up .

This place is great to go to if you have one tire that is bad and dont want to replace all 4. They matched me up with 1 tire that could not be repaired and they installed it, with balance and mounting in less than 30 minutes.

I needed a couple of tires for the back of my van, just something to last for a few weeks until I could get to my regular people in the middle of the state. I wound up with two super great tires (Michelins) that were like new. Both tires together, with balancing and installation, were $100.00, less than what one new tire would have cost.

My mother visited this job when we moved to Wilmington in order to get her anti-freeze checked. She was surprised afterward to be hit with a $40 charge. This was an acceptable because they never mentioned anything about how much it would cost prior to doing the work, thereby putting her in a terrible position by having already done the work and then requesting payment for something that took only a minute to do. Was not a good first impression.They then promised to issue a refund after confronting them about it, and never did.

Replaced my tire with a tire with a nail in it when I realized it I had been driving for a while got it patched till the patch failed went and bought a new used tire from them noticed a slight leak after a couple days left for a week out of town came back to a flat tire took it in they said I had caught another nail in my tire only problem was there was no nail you could see where it had been previously patched before it was sold to me, while I was in there heard a customer complaining they had not moved her car but was telling her it would be 1000 atleast for a repair that should cost 500. Horrible service all around slow and selling defective products. If you care about your vechicle or the safety of others on the road as well as your own do not go to this place unless you want to be stranded with a flat tire somewhere.
