Contacted whirlpool for warranty service and they scheduled a service call with Cape Fear. Received a confirmation call from the office and was informed unit out of warranty. I disagreed and was transferred to someone else that reaffirmed No warranty. Was advised to call whirlpool back. Not sure how long both of those folks at cape fear have been doing this but they have all the warranty info and chose not to look before dismissing me like I was looking for a free repair. Needless to say Island Appliance took the time to check warranty and confirmed. From now on Island Appliance gets my business
Absolutely outstanding service! John was able to repair my 7 yr old LG dryer. It saved me money and the time I would have spent looking for a new dryer. John came prepared. He was professional and polite. The receptionist who set up the appointment was knowledgeable and took the time to answer any questions I had before I agreed to service. 5+ stars!
I had some technical difficulties through the process while on the Uhaul website but luckily Ramona, was extremely helpful and a pleasure to do business with over the phone.

Felt lucky to get an appointment, particularly with Cape Fear, as most other service co’s have been swamped amid COVID. And shout out to John Lorek, a firm owner/technician, who not only fixed our Sub Zero fridge but also our Whirlpool washer, which had also developed a problem for which we’d booked another contractor eight days later. Super impressed: great response, great professionalism, super value. Kudos and thanks, Cape Fear Appliance! Recommend them heartily, to anyone.

I rented a Uhaul from here, super easy and good clean equipment and friendly staff. I left my wallet in the Uhaul and and Mrs. Sherrie, who is the nicest woman on the planet returned it to me. Ive since gone back to buy appliances and accessories, because they are such friendly awesome and trustworthy people. Highly recommend.
The office manager Sheri Posted pictures of my street and pictures of me and my boyfriend on Facebook calling us horrendous names. She’s clearly unhinged and I would be scared for someone like that to have access to my personal information.

I rarely write a review, but in this case I have to because of the exceptional service I received from John Lorek Owner / Technician. John diagnosed an issue I was having with my Thermador Gas Stove / Oven. He worked on the appliance like it was his own. He took time to explain what was going on in great detail resolving my issue totally satisfying me. Most of all he listened and acted upon what he heard. I would recommend John and Cape Fear Appliance Service to anyone who has an issue to be resolved.
Horrible Service!!!!!I recently brought an air conditioner to this business to fix a problem that the diagnostic computer on my air conditioner said needed to be fixed, so I did know what the problem with the air conditioner was.I dealt with 2 women who were just rude that told me I needed to leave $50 for them to do a diagnostic check. I explained that I knew what the problem was and just wanted that fixed. But after going round and round with them I finally agreed to leave me air conditioner. When I asked them when I could expect a call from them they told me it would be a few days but they could not give me a time line. I again said if I am paying for this service ahead of time shouldnt I be able to know when that service will be preformed? After a week I went back to Cape Fear Appliance to check on my machine. It had not even been looked at even though I had paid for it ahead of time.I picked up my machine which had never been looked at and was told that I would receive a refund at their convenience in a week or so. Which I have not!They must have too much business to worry about an individual who has paid and contracted their service, so they dont need and will never again get mine!
Amazing service and knowledgable staff. We had problems with two other appliance companies, but Cape Fear Appliance Services was able to diagnose the problem with our refrigerator/ dishwasher within minutes and handle the problem efficiently. Would highly recommend.

I could not be happier with any other appliance repair! Not only did they come to my rescue, but they did it on a weekend. Delivery was so great and it was on a Sunday! I was desperate and they saved me so much money. Always will be my go to for appliances and repairs!
Service Technician John checked out lg refrigerator and without hooking up gauges said it had a sealed system leak and wanted to charge $750 in labor to replace all the refrigerant components This doesnt include the $105 I just paid for him to look at it Now he. hopes lg would warranty the parts turns out no leak when valves were installed and gauges were hooked up found compressor not pumping Please dont BS consumer if you dont know what you are doing
