This was my first and last. I just asked to clean the sides and back and blend (super easy for any hair stylist). I had Tamika and she trimmed the sides too high up to the top and forgot to blend. Worst hair cut I’ve ever gotten and I told her I had a wedding to go to. I won’t be coming back :(

I generally stray from writing negative reviews but this one is absolutely necessary. I took the time to explain to my barber everything about my cut and all the particulars. I requested a skin fade and received an uneven “fade” (not sure what to call it). The length of my hair was completely wrong, short where it should be long and long where it should be short. The length of my hair is totally uneven throughout. I have a mildly difficult cut so I understand not getting it perfect but this is hands down the worst cut I’ve ever received In my life. I drove straight home and buzzed my hair all off it was so bad. It usually takes 45 min to cut and she finished in under 15. Was totally rushed with no attention to detail. I would never recommend going here unless you are getting a buzz cut. If you want the worst haircut of your life this is the place for you! Absolutely disappointed and will certainly never return, just wish I could give it less than 1 star.

Fastest and worst haircut I’ve ever got. I asked Lisa for a low skin fade. Ended up getting a low taper on one side of my head and on the other a high taper. She did not take any time to clean off loose hair to even see if her work was good. Lisa really needs to slow down a bit the “fade” isn’t faded at all you can see lines all the way around my head. Nowhere on my head did she go down to skin just short. Worst haircut I’ve ever got will not be letting her touch my hair ever again

I cant remember the ladys name, but I think is was Janet....she was wonderful, professional and funny which made my experience even better......I highly recommend this place.

The team was very polite and professional. The accuracy of the wait time was on point and couldnt be upset about the wait time after getting my hair cut. Casey was a joy to be around and gave me the best haircut Ive had in a lot time. I go to her everytime Im in Virginia. 10/10 recommend the quality of the haircut, and the experience of spending time with Casey during the cut.

I sent my husband to get his haircut and it looks absolutely terrible. Weve gone here before and he was okay with it that time but please train Kristi better. She really messed up his entire hairstyle and now we are going to have to wait for it all to grow back out.

Drove from NC to get my hair done. The manager, Casey, was professional and did an amazing job cutting my hair. She listened to what I was wanting and made it happen. I’ll definitely be going back again.

Stopped in to sports clips in Williamsburg and Casey gave me the tightest fade ever! Went into work the next day and my boss started flirting with me and offered me a promotion! I feel like Im just being used for this extremely tight fade to be honest. If you are tired of weak loose fades Go see Casey immediately! Your future depends on it!

First time we took our son for his first haircut we had a great experience and great haircut. When we went back for a second time that person no longer worked at that location. Although the person we saw was nice I don’t think children with curly hair was something she was skilled at. It looks as though my two year old took a pair of scissors to his own hair in the front. I know it’s hair and it will grow back but it was very disappointing.

One of the stylist that didnt have an appointment was walked in by the stylist. And when I mentioned ps to why, she said that I would be next. No COMMUNICATION at all with the customers. SUBPAR service. Will it be there again

Sports clip in Williamsburg make you wait way too long even when you check in online the prices are high and the haircut is mostly not that professional so you may want to shop around for something more

Worst haircut Ive gotten yet. Definitely cannot recommend. Came in for a quick trim before going to a wedding, and simply said that I prefer long hair on top and tight sides, literally the look that most young adults are sporting. Walked out with a military cut and to add to it all, the back of my hair is longer than the front of my hair. Like I said, worst haircut yet.

Last week I moved to Newsport News from Raleigh, NC.When I was in NC i would always cut my hairs at one of the Sport Clips Haircuts store, and I was happy with the hair cut they would give me. With that mindset, today i went to cut my hairs in Newsport News, but the service was terrible. For these reasons.first, I explained her that I have hair transplant and she should be gentle and soft with my front hairs, but she didnt care and I lost maybe 100-200 of my transplanted hairs because she was combbing my hairs very harshly. I told her again but she was careless and rude.Second, i booked my appointment online, but when I arrived i had to wait another 30 minutes...third, at the end she didnt clean the hairs from my neck and shoulders and she rushed to the check out...very bad experienced and i am sad for my transplanted hairs which i spent more than 3K on them.

My first time here. I have been going to the same person for my haircuts since 1977 so I was a little nervous. I had Tiffany as my stylist. She did a great job and it was just the way I wanted it cut. Good price for seniors.

A little pricier than other Sports Clips Im used to. Haircut was okay, not the best fade or lining Ive gotten. Staff was very personable, though!

Im a regular customer to this location and I have been getting my hair cut here for several years now. I usually have Taffy cut my hair, but I signed in for first available as my time was limited. The board said that I had approximately an 18 minute wait which was acceptable. The wait time had gone down to 14 minutes and I was next in line when one of the stylists walked up to the computer and made adjustments which put the person waiting behind me, in front of me and increased my wait time back up to 20 minutes at which point I walked out. I think Ill be looking for a new place to get my hair cut now, definitely not acceptable!

I love coming here to get my hair cut, I always get a great cut. The reason Im leaving this review is because I finally bought a hair and beard care product from this location. I went home and tried a bit on my beard and not to long after my skin was irritated. I went in the very next day and tried to get a return for the $21.00 dollar product. Even after letting them know it irritated my skin, I was told they do not do returns or anything. So now Im stuck with a product I cant even use if I wanted to.

Im not picky about my hair, but went here for the MVP with wash and massage.Yesterday, I was told Im now REQUIRED to enter my name, number, and zip code before I can get a haircut. This is personal information and should be guarded as such. DEFINITELY not needed for a haircut.If people want to VOLUNTARILY give this information, then thats fine. Until it becomes VOLUNTARILY, I wont be back.

Out of the five or six stylists that work here, only one or two give decent cuts. The others just rush through and do a bad job. The Sports Clips in Newport News is better, and if you go there ask for Jessie, she gives great cuts. The one thing I do like about Sports Clips is theyre a good value, especially if you get the season pass. So if you dont really care how your hair looks, come here, but if you want a good-looking cut go somewhere else.

If you dont like your cut tell them, thats what you should do so they can learn. Dont grumble about a bad haircut if you havent given the stylist a chance to make it right. My hair lopsided and uneven every time I go to this location. The staff was not very respectful to other customers and each other. I can pay just about the same price at a professional salon for a better hair cut.

My husband went in to get a haircut on his last few days of military leave where he’s had the opportunity to grow a beard during this time. He asked for his sideburns to be lowered for when he would have to shave on Monday. Instead of lowering his sideburns, she proceeded to shave his beard completely which is what he didn’t want. We will take our business somewhere else.

My son went to get his hair cut here. I use to take him here when he was younger. He asked the stylist for what I call a military haircut. I was not very good. It was not cut straight and it was different levels.. not good

My first experience with a Sports Clips was rather poor. Upon arrival the lady at the counter slid the sign in sheet towards me. No hello, good morning or anything other than obvious sign of displeasure displayed by her lack of effort in hospitality and the expression on her face. After a half hour wait, I received a text message saying my girlfriend was done at the Verizon store and was ready to be picked up. As I stood, another lady called my name. I briefly explained that I had to leave and I would be back later in the day. The only response was a petulant okay from her. I didnt go back. I may revisit this place when I need a hair cut again, but I wasnt impressed with the welcome I received. The seating to wait are just stadium seats bolted to the floor and are not very comfortable. I understand that the TVs are there for us Guys to watch sports,but the volume was terribly loud. I cant comment on the quality of the haircut nor the service other than my initial lack of welcome.

I took my son to get a haircut and made a reservation with Tina online. I arrived at the time it said I should arrive and waited 10 minutes longer only to have someone tell me that Tina was going to take her 15 minute break. I did not want to wait, which is the reason I made an online reservation, so I asked for the next available stylist. The haircut came out nice, but when I went to use my free haircut coupon she said I could not use it because I used one last time. It does not say that anywhere on the coupon. The only reason I was going there was because I had a coupon and I ended up feeling annoyed because I couldn’t use the coupon and the person I requested couldn’t wait 15 more minutes to take her break, especially since when she came back from her break there wasn’t a customer in the salon. Sports Clips failed miserably at customer service! If the customer service was better, I would have come back!

I have been here a few times and each time I went I was offered a hot towel at the end of the haircut, not this time. The other ladies that have cut my hair also took a blow dryer and got the hair off my face and neck with it, not this time. I was also offered jell at the end of my haircut by other ladies, not this time.At the end of my haircut this time I started wiping the hair off my face and the girl that cut my hair gave me the towel to wipe the hair off my face and neck, never offered a hot towel or jell for my hair! Seamed like the girl cutting my hair was too interested in talking about her boyfriend than taking care of the customer! Never again will I go into this place! 🖓🖓🖓

First time at a sports clips. It was very nice worth the upgrade over a usual hair cuttery. Brittany was great and professional.

I tend to get my haircut every 4 to 6 weeks here. Overall nice store, good location but often busy. My cut only takes 10-15 mins tops so I think the $22 for standard cut plus tip is alittle pricy but I still keep going back because they do a good job.

This place is busy. And two of the girls are outside taking a break. Everyone deserves a break. But do you have to take it when there are 12 people in line ? Rest your hands and let’s get moving ladies. An hour is toooo long to wait.

I recently got a haircut here for the first time. A woman named krystel did the best haircut I have ever had. The MVP experience is worth it. She really relaxed me.

Been going here ever since I moved to Williamsburg. It is handy that they keep notes in their system about how I like my hair cut which makes it easy when getting a different stylist most trips in. For the most part I am always happy with their service, and when the wait is bad I just come back at a later time. It is a bit pricey, but not crazy over priced like a hair salon.

Been here a few times and well hit or miss. Didnt notice this in the big mirror and was not offered a small one. Notice after being on the road for a bit that in no way did my upper neck at that get trimmed as needed. So ill go home and shave what should have been trimmed on my neck.
