As one of the first residents to live here, we were able to witness a lot of the growth and changes to the place we proudly called home for about a year. Rosa, Brittany, Alex, and Oscar certainly guaranteed that we were in great care and we certainly appreciate all that they’ve done for us! Work orders were always done in a timely manner. I have full confidence that you will be in great hands with the new management group. Teryn and Christine are wonderful! While we were not able to enjoy the amenities to the fullest as the building was still under construction during most of our lease, there’s still so much to do around the area that you won’t get bored. With a diverse group of neighbors from all walks of life, I guarantee you, it’s a good choice of residence. We will miss you, Uptown 500!

New Review: The Aptive pests are finally gone, but with the weather cooling management has decided to tighten their grip.Theyve announced a new system for parking permits and visitors passes that we have the privilege of paying an extra $25 a year per parking space. Each month we are now allocated 5 visitor passes after 6 PM. In other words, if you host a gathering of more than 5 visiting cars or have small gatherings of three visiting cars twice in one month, your visitors cars will be towed.We dont host visitors particularly often, but knowing the restriction exists and the additional annual cost we are incentivized to leave when the lease ends. Never before have I been in a building with such a rule. To know that families may be unable to host birthday parties or get together for holidays is quite disturbing. There is a tinge of irony here that the building advertises its many gathering spaces for hosting such events but your guests wouldnt be able to park here.Of course, all of this is made even worse by the fact that throughout the summer, not only did the Aptive workers who lived here park their personal cars in the visitor spaces, they also parked their work vehicles as well.Previous Review: The building and amenities are great and the living experience was good for the first few months. The problem now is that the building leased a decent number of units to a pest control company named Aptive Environmental.For the unaware, Aptive hires college-age kids for the summer to invade neighborhoods and push their pest control service. Ever since they’ve moved in, they’ve acted like the pests they’re meant to control. They act how you’d expect frat boys to act. They yell and stomp, they play loud music, and they act like they own the place. They take over the various amenities both for recreation and business meetings. They park their cars in many of the visitor spaces. The lease states that you are not to conduct business outside of standard work-from-home activities within your apartment, but they’re essentially using the building as a temporary business campus until the summer ends and they return to their fraternities.I am extremely disappointed that the building leased units to this company. I feel like a guest in my own apartment because of them and I can’t expect to renew here if I have to live through another summer invasion.

We had a fantastic experience touring Uptown 500. Brittany provided excellent customer service, and we were very impressed with the units at Uptown. Very nice, modern look and feel, and the amenities were great. Definitely a great spot to consider if you are looking for a nice, modern apartment community in the northwest suburbs.

Brittany did a fantastic job showcasing the variety of layouts and amenities the community has to offer. Really amazing and responsive and she was able to answer every question I had. The apartments themselves feel really comfy and spacious. I did have a maintenance request already with a good experience. While the maintenance guy couldnt get to it the same day, he was really responsive and was still able get everything done in a timely manner. Overall a positive experience while construction is still happening.

Uptown 500 is an oasis of genuine people and staff. Super clean amenities, gym room, yoga studio, game room, etc. Maintenance team is very attentive to inquires when requested.The apartments are modern and cutting edge, the design is fresh and convenient. You get what you pay for and Uptown 500 does not disappoint.Having been here for about 6 months, the community is growing, pets are increasing, and summer is right around the corner for some great courtyard entertainment thanks to the pool, grilling area, and space for activities.I would like to personally thank Brittany Wendt and Rosa Capozzi for their white glove customer satisfaction, attention to detail, open book availability, as well as their candor in catering to their tenants wants/needs.5/5 - recommended

Very unfriendly and unprofessional staff!They just have no clue how to deal with the customers, do not know how to build an attractive neighborhood...No competency at all!That’s why they have left so many apartments..

Slow to fix building issues (hot water, automated entrance door locks, package room entrances) also, very difficult to get responses to emails regarding issues..

This is a wonderful complex! Brittany is very professional and answers my many questions promptly and with patience. Very positive experience.

We worked with Brittany. She spent a great deal of time explaining the features of the complex, and touring the various apartments.Although Uptown 500 doesnt meet our needs at this time, it is still a beautiful complex, and it promises to be a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

We had a great experience before moving in. Rosa is quite nice and impressive and she helped us set up everything. However, the air conditioning got a bit weird. One day, the temperature was fixed to 78 and we were unable to change it. Alex called us immediately at 10pm and helped us schedule a maintenance the second day. However, the second day, Brittany came together with Alex. When we tried to figure out when happened, she started to argue with my husband. Brittany insisted that this was an advanced system and we should be more educated about the system. If we were not happy with the system, we should MOVE OUT (We just moved in for one week and did not even finished unpacking). Eventually, Rosa stepped in and helped us contact the HVAC company and try to solve the problem. So the extra star is for Rosa and Alex.

Some information regarding AC/heating system in this community should not be hidden, consider it before your moving in: this is a very equal and advanced system, where every apartment works on a voting system and is tied to a stack of 12, that being said, if all (or most of) the other apartments have voted for cooling which means your apartment may not be able to get to your heating setting. You need to wait the rest 11 apartments to say yes. The temperature range can only be within 68-78F. That being said, you can never get higher temperature than 78F, no matter how cold outside and how urgent you need the heat. The leasing office just ignore your request for higher temperature. Remember again, this is a voting system. You might never get it to heat. Such a smart system I never used before!
