We moved in during the pandemic and felt very safe all through our stay, due to high maintenance standards and a courteous staff. The front office, maintenance team and the entire staff at One Wheeling made our stay a memorable experience. Nikki, Jamie, Caleb you guys are top notch professionals and very friendly. Lonnie is fantastic and very helpful. Toni and his maintenance team is knowledgeable and prompt. I have lived at Wheeling One for about 2 years now. I have worked with Melissa since the day that I moved in, and she is the absolute best! She is always honest and understanding with any of my requests/questions. I have not met the rest of the new management team, but if they are anything like Melissa, I know I am in good hands! My apartment is beautiful. I have a two bedroom and the rooms and closets are huge. It feels like home. They do a great job keeping the facility clean. I have seen them follow through on some of the requests that the tenants complained about. For example, they installed the remote garage door, and increased the garbage pick up schedule when we noticed it was getting full more quickly than normal. It shows that they genuinely care for the residents.My only complaint that I currently have is that they advertise 24 hour security yet we have never had someone at the front for 24 hours. (Not sure if 24 hour security means 24 hour front desk concierge, it may not but seemed that way). It also looks like they drastically cut the hours of the concierge desk personal which residents pay for as part of an amenity in our monthly rent. Im sure it will be resolved soon!

It was a pleasure working with the leasing team. They made my move in process seamless and had everything ready in advance of my move in date. The apartments are absolutely beautiful! They feel like a home. They are extremely spacious, love the storage space. Highly recommend!

Update: Maintenance explained the delay, which is appreciated. I mentioned to them that there just seems to be a lack of transparency/communication on why things take a while to fix, which can cause people to feel frustrated and upset. They hope to fix the issue tomorrow.I am so upset that I referred my parents to this apartment complex. I will not delete my review even if issues are resolved. One of the amenities of this complex is 24 hour maintenance, so you would think, things will be resolved quickly. Please note: your issues will not be resolved in a timely manner. Upon move in (to a completely new apartment) my parents dishwasher was defective. They were given all sorts of excuses (for days I will add) of what THEY are doing wrong, when really, their apartment had a defective dishwasher. After about 3-4 days, their dishwasher was replaced. For the first time, On Friday, May 21st, my parents turned on their air conditioning, only to realize that that too, is not functioning. Now, in 90 degree weather, they must wait for the issue to be resolved. We are on day 3, and no one has resolved the issue, despite maintenance coming over and over again to check on things.

Nice rental complex. Open pool. Grills, refrigerators, microwave available for party downstairs in common spaces. Well maintained. A lot of parking available.

ONE Wheeling Town Center is an oasis of really genuine people and staff. Super clean amenities and gym room. Maintenance team is very attentive to our small inquires when requested. Mailroom always secured and organized. Oh and they love dogs! Stop by the front desk to receive a treat for your good boy from the leasing agents!

Ive been living her for around 6 months now and felt it was time to set the record straight.If youre seeing a spate of reviews bringing this place down and complimenting another opening next door soon, you know the competition is scared.One has been a much home as a place can be for us. The apartments are modern and cutting edge, the design is fresh and convenient. We love the space we have in ours and the taste with which its been done.Outside, the community and the facilities here are top notch. There simply isnt a better complex in Wheeling (and we saw a lot in the nearby suburbs). You get what you pay for and this place is gold on what you get as a return.The people that life here are top class too and its a great vibrant community and a complex with the best amenities available.Stop considering! Go for it!

This is a nice building, however the management is HORRIBLE.I was visiting a friend here and parked my car in the visitor parking area. I was told that we need to use a parking day pass. However, my car was TOWED the second day. It turned out the building considered my parking pass was invalid by not circling the date clearly.This whole thing feels like a set-up. The instructions to write the parking pass is not showing on the warning sign outside. The leasing office claimed it has been sent in email to residents before. However, they can NOT just simply consider residents are informed because nobody check every email without missing a tiny detail.The parking area is almost empty, with only a few cars. I can’t helped feel that somebody here and the toweling company had some secrete agreements by making this a lucrative business. I was not sure whether ‘rule’ that they claimed is legal.During our communication with the Apartment, we don’t feel the leasing office is very supportive for the residents, and has no willing to help us solving this drama at all.The whole experience is quite disappointing. I decided NOT to move here in the future once I stay here for one day. I WOULD NOT recommend here for anybody looking for a home.And after 3 weeks, they still haven’t give any response to this review.

One Wheeling Town Center is a fun, friendly, and fantastic place to live. The facilities are modern and clean. The staff is warm and accommodating. Recommend highly.

Awesome place...If your single and need an apartment...this is it.

Newly constructed, great layout and public amenaties.

The building is okay, but the management group is HORRIBLE and OBNOXIOUS.I am visiting a friend here for the Christmas holidays. There are ample space outside the building for guest parking, and you do need to get a guest parking permit, which is only valid for 2 days. We have the permit, put it on rearview mirror for another friend, but her car got TOWED. Turns out that you have to write down the resident name, plate number, and CIRCLE the month and day you start to park there. There are instructions on the permit, I know it is our fault to not follow the instructions TOTALLY, but it should NOT have to be resulting in the vehicle being towed. Plus, there is a nice paper instruction with all the warning and examples of wrongly written permits. BUT, if the management intends to follow the rules THIS strictly, theyd better hand out that instruction paper with EVERY permit they hand out, but we received NONE. I was told an electronic version is send out to the residents, but seriously, who would really read every single email word by word. When we went to the management office to ask for advice, all they did was repeating the rules and how to write the permit. It gave me the impression that their attitude is just You are wrong, we are right, and we are NOT interested in your complaints or suggestions for improvement at all.Bottom line is, I know rules are rules, but the management could have done this in so many different ways to make the experience better and having the residents in their mind. For example, they could have called us to confirm before having to tow the vehicle, since the resident name is on the permit. They could have given us a citation instead of towing away an one-month new vehicle. As said above, they could have that instruction paper stick together with every permit to show that they mean business. They could have pre-written the permit with dates and residents names there. At least they could have put a warning sign about towing and instruction about how to write a permit CORRECTLY somewhere in the parking lot in a place easy to see. But they have done NONE.My friends car arrived here at 8pm, and the towing happened around 10PM. Seriously, what kind of management group would come out in the middle of the night, checking not only whether each vehicle has a permit, but also whether the permit is written CORRECTLY. I also heard some other residents comment like who havent been charged of some wrongdoings while living in this apartments. Their way of handling this made us think that they dont CARE about the happiness and comfortableness of their residents at all, but they are ONLY interested in catching every TINY mistake you make and get some money out of you.They could keep that fine of $200, but what they lose is the willingness to keep staying in this building after the current lease or the potential of referring a lot of our friends to come be our neighbors. I hope the management group would get a good portion of that fine.

We met amazing neighbors who became great friends. Apartment amenities are very nice and any maintenance service requests were quickly resolved. Staff worked with us to help us upgrade our apartment when the single no longer provided enough space.

Washer/Dryer unit has been defective since moving in over 6 months ago. Makes a very high pitched whining noise that can be heard 3 doors away. Outside contractor came twice but could not fix the issue and each time, the service request was stated as completed without resolution. Leasing/Management has been uncooperative and I feel that my multiple requests have been ignored.Edit: Maintenance came and replaced with a new unit and they were very courteous and understanding.

High priced!!! Not worth it

I’ve lived in this community for just over 3 months now and can say it’s been the best experience! I live on the first floor and noise is low for an apartment complex, everyone is always friendly and the staff is great. I had some adjustments that needed to be made upon my move in and they were handled in less than 24 hours. If you have any questions they are always available to help. Property upkeep with snow has also been quick and efficient and you always see someone taking care of the communal areas. I’ve lived in other complexes before and can honestly say one of the best decisions I have made is moving here. Nothing compares!

This apartment complex is simply amazing!!! I have been living here for about four months now and I have NO REGRETS living here! Me and my boyfriend love our new built apartment. We honestly love how high tech in security this complex has which makes us super safe around our surroundings. This complex is well kept up with the daily cleaning and maintenance services which makes us super happy to be living here because were super OCD freaks. Not only does this place come with all these awesome amenities like a gym with a studio and an outdoor pool, but the people that are here everyday and that is THE STAFF that we love so much!!! They are simply over and beyond AMAZING people who care so much about their residents and looking upon new residents each day!!! Personally, I use the conference room printer almost everyday and I bug the staff all the time. If its the toner to the printer or getting more paper, the staff is always happy to assist me in any way whether its the printer or something else. Its a huge plus that we are right in the middle by these mini restaurants and spas which are opening soon! As for right now Im already happy that Starbucks is right by so I can get coffee every morning before work! This apartment is worth every penny, and this is the place to be living in! When moving in the first day, they had the cleaning crew do a deep cleaning in our apartment days before we moved in and the staff was sweet enough to leave us a welcoming gift! I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone that is looking for an apartment that has it all!

Heaven for smokers!If you are a heavy smoker, this is the absolutely perfect place for you.HOWEVER, if you are not, be cautious! Your neighbors may smoke 7/24 and neither you or the management team can do anything about it. The non-smoking apartment is just a fairytale.

My husband and I moved here about 4 months ago and this complex is everything that we could ask for. The staff is absolutely the best and super friendly! The coffee machine and the doorman facility is a cherry on top. And they’re always having fun events where the community gets together. Great way to interact with each other. Best decision we’ve made. 10/10 would recommend!

After official living at One Wheeling for two months, I can honestly say it’s such a great place to live!! The staff is absolutely wonderful, the complex and amenities are beautiful, and the area is great. I work nights and the complex is so quiet during the day and perfect, I have never been woken up once. The place is super pet and kid friendly which is always a plus. It feels like it’s own little community- the complex even puts on events for the residents multiple times each month. I recommend signing a lease here to everyone I know!

Great place to live. Office staff was always there when I needed them!

My lease began Jan 2020 and am very pleased with the staff, apartment, facilities, residents, amenities, and activities. Staff are friendly and professional. They encourage a community atmosphere and have sponsored a super bowl party with pizza and drinks, karaoke night with food and drinks, breakfast on the go and chocolate on Valentine’s Day. Cleaning crew keeps common areas very clean. Guys providing security are professional and friendly. No issues with pests and owners keep tight control on the dogs living here. Free coffee is a bonus. You can play pool, arcade video game, ping pong or relax by fireplace indoors. Looking forward to warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor barbecue and pool.

This apartment complex is unlike any other Ive experienced. The staff at the leasing office were very professional and fair. I did not get the feeling that I was being swindled, even though the price is a bit high for a relatively small and unknown suburb. However, upon moving in, I realized how amazing this place really is. As mentioned, the staff is courteous and professional. There are a lot of building engineers keeping the facilities pristine. There is also a nice pool, game room, and a relatively big fitness room. Indoor garage, secure mail room, and a party room available for reservation or first come first serve.As for my own apartment, I couldnt be happier. I have a one bedroom facing the pool. Everything about this place is luxury: beautiful counter tops and cabinets, stainless steel appliances, bathrooms with beautiful tile and rain shower heads, dishwasher, in-unit washer/dryer. Quiet and respectful neighbors. This place is awesome. Worth the elevated price.One last bit, the leasing office hosts socials with food and drink--the last social included surprisingly good wine. A good opportunity to socialize with neighbors and feel at home and a member of a small community.

I toured this complex in December and within two days I decided to take the most perfect unit. I moved in January 8th without any issue. The staff is amazing and always helpful, the building itself is immaculate and has so many great benefits. I am literally happy every day when I wake up in my beautiful unit and love the fact that everyone is so friendly in the building! I would recommend this place to everyone. It is comfortable, secure and again… Everyone who works here is genuinely nice and helpful. You do get what you pay for and I feel as though this is perfectly priced for all the wonderful amenities! Check them out for comfortable, carefree living!

I looked at quite a few “luxury” apartments in the area and at the end of the day most places offer the same amenities and the apartments are usually fairly similar. Some nice features with these apartments is that the kitchen has an island which offers lots of extra storage space! I like that the bedrooms are carpeted and not wood. The windows are large and let in a lot of light! There is also a nook that has a built in desk (albeit high) which has been exceptionally useful having to work from home due to the virus. Some minor cons: the appliances are fairly cheap but they work just fine and well I don’t have to fix them if they break. The “dusk” apartments quartz countertops are very hard to keep clean as they absorb the littlest of moisture. Otherwise really nice and much better than other places I’ve seen.The staff here is responsive and have done a great job keeping things sterile and safe without suffocating us during this virus. There was a lot of dog piss stains on the hall carpet which started to look pretty bad ( it was probably one dog that did this) but they cleaned all the hall carpets and they look great now! There are no hidden or unwarranted fees like some places have. U do have to pay for parking ($70) a month but it’s garaged and covered which is wonderful come winter and is on par with other places or lower. Utilities have been reasonable. Internet works great. U can control the temperature in your apartment (some places it’s a “democracy”. Their system for picking up packages works well! Staff is friendly and helpful. The apartments are pretty well insulated for sound.For me location is important. There is a theater and many restaurants that opened in the complex which is great. Behind the complex is heritage park which has a decent pond, walking path, amphitheater and playground for kids. Their is also the Wheeling water park/pool and Rec center. Both are fairly new and look nice. I use the Rec center for lifting as they have a lot more machines as well as an indoor pool for lap swimming and it’s just $23 a month. Also about a mile a way is Potowami woods which is one of the best hiking and biking paths I’ve been on in the area. Of course the Metra station is right next door if that’s something u would use.They usually offer one or two months free rent which makes this place one of the best value “luxury” apartments in the area and if u add in all that is around here to do it’s a no brainer.

I see that non residents are writing bad reviews just to bring down the overall rating of this town center. I have been living in this apartment since 2 months and I dont have a single complaint. Staff is very friendly and amenities are best. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Awesome staff, super friendly

My lease started today. So far so good, the only thingI didn’t like is the internet charge that we have to pay from day1, even though the service is not active due to unavailability of the att agent to setup the internet. I don’t understand how it is fair to ask tenants to use free wifi at office and pay for fiber optic service.

I have been living at the ONE since October now and I absolutely love it! Everything in this apartment complex has been so well thought of. The amenities are amazing, the staff keeps the building sparkling clean, and the leasing office is such a pleasure to deal with! It is super pet friendly. The office replies to emails within the hour during business hours with any questions or concerns I have. I have not met anyone who works here who was not extremely professional and friendly. A+ job to everyone at The ONE!!

So far so amazing. Caring leasing consultants. Amenities are incredible. You’re definitely getting your moneys worth. Christine was our leasing agent for the community. She spent all Sunday with us exploring different options that worked best for our budget. Saw multiple apartments until all of our questions were answered. Out of all the apartments in this area I really believe this was the best choice for us. And if I have any questions about what’s going on the leasing staff are quick to respond to my emails.Being dog friendly definitely helps too!

Having a quiet and healthy living atmosphere in this building is really depending on luck and relying on your neighbors. The leasing office is not showing a good response on the issues of smoking and loud noises from neighbors. Besides emails, please show some effective solutions which could solve the problems!

Residents are not allowed to park outside the buildings overnight. They are forced to take a garage space which is additional $70-100 a month and also internet is pre installed which costs additional $65 a month on top of rent.They provide an option to take a guest pass which is valid for 2 days even though you are a resident to park in-front of the building . If you don’t take a guest pass(don’t forget even though ur a resident) you willBe towed which costs a decent $220 - $500. #Rules are rules(I had a conversation with the management and I was advised rules are meant to be followed).Other then the parking issue, apartment has no other issue. Hmm did I mention about the doorman feature, it’s awesome.If some one is reading this, I would walk .2 mile and consider uptown apartments . :/

After touring multiple apartments located by the Metra, One Wheeling offered the best price compared to its competition. Although there were apartments that were a few hundred dollars less around the area, they did not have an enclosed parking garage (which I was specifically looking for) nor rooms/amenities that could even be compared to the ones at One Wheeling. It feels like staying at a luxury hotel even though its an apartment complex. The windows are highly insulated and the room stays warm at 70 degrees. The staff is amazing and the place is always clean. Snow is taken care of 24/7 and along with its resident services. The Metra (NCS) station is just right off the lobby and only takes 45 minutes to get to the Union. As a car guy, I feel confident having my car parked in the garage due to its huge parking spaces (minimal chance of getting door dings). I highly recommend this place if you want to feel connected to the city but at the same time enjoy the tranquility of the suburbs.
