Holly was simply AMAZING! She listened to what I wanted, didn’t criticize the dark color I picked (I almost always get told it’s summer and I should go light 🙄). She even did her own personal touch to what I described and it looks better than I even pictures in my head! *side note* The staff handled a rude customer very professionally. I wanted to speak up but I was not close toFinished and knew I would argue with her for the way she spoke to you for suggesting she handle her personal phone call, that she had on speaker, before she got her nails done. This was my first experience with Sunny Nails with Quyne and what a wonderful and fast job she did. I am very happy with my nails and would recommend this salon and Quyne. Friendly, professional, clean, and very reasonably priced.

The lady I had cut me while shaping my nails. Nails were not shaped well and had many bumps. She messed up on my simple design and tried to cover it up with glitter which I had never asked for.

I went into this place to get the powder dip on my nails and within a matter of 4 days a total of 3 came off! I spent $40.00 plus a tip and a $1.00 fee on my credit card. I get my nails done using the powder all the time and it has never happened to me anywhere else, but here. I am very displeased with how it turned out as well as paying a $1.00 fee on my credit card. I pay with a credit card to get my nails done all the time and never have I had to pay a $1.00 fee! I do not recommend ever going to this place.

A SLOPPY MESS!I was extremely disappointed by the inexperienced guy who did my nails. It’s like they just have ANYONE working in there regardless of how bad of a job they do. The guy barely filed my nails, he did not check to see/compare the height and shape of them, he did not buff them to make sure the surface of my nails was smooth, I had to ask several times for him to clean up around the cuticles, an he definitely did not evenly coat my nails with the polish. I’m sure all the nail techs there aren’t THIS BAD, but the fact that they allow techs to work there without the proper training and don’t uphold a standard of the BASIC TECHNIQUES that he failed to do, it makes the whole establishment look bad. They might as well let kids do nails in there, smh. I kept my cool the whole time although I was mad, because as soon as you ask for another tech no matter how politely you do it, they want to act as if you’re causing trouble and start arguing with you. Ridiculous.

I would not recommend this place at all. I think that it is over priced. I had Nancy #3 tell me that when she was doing my overlay that she couldn’t make them square because my nails are too short. This is not my first time getting an overlay, I get them all the time and get them square. She was very rough and seemed like she had an attitude because she had to fix them the way I wanted them! It is a shop right down the street in a plaza that is way better and prices are better too!

It was great, Irene was wonderful she took her time and my nails look great.

Waited 2 hours. If you would have told me when I came in that it busy and there was a long wait I would have understood and came back another day. People that came in after me were taken before me. If you have appointments than say so, just let people just sit and wait. I left and was waited on within 15 minutes at another location and they did a great job.

My daughter and I got relaxing pedicures with amazing service here today! All the staff is very friendly and so courteous. Tony gave me the best pedicure ever! Koby made us smile and happy. He did an A+ pedicure and manicure for my daughter. They made us feel welcome here. The salon is beautiful and very comfortable. My 7 year old daughter and I have been going to many different nail salons in the Westland area. None compared to the wonderful service we had this evening at Sonny’s! The tech who took care of my shy girl was amazing! He made her feel special and comfortable he asked her many questions about her talked to her the entire time while treating her to her pedicure and nails being polished. He was incredibly kind and knew everything to say! The other techs were great too! It was very comfortable and clean and spa like not just a nail mill!

Ive been going there for months. I have one particular nail gal I go to who does an excellent job. Place is in good location with loads of parking. Prices about average and place is roomy and clean.

Nice Spa setting, lots of staff who were friendly and helpful. This was my first time there and after a few minutes I was very comfortable. I had to wait 15 minutes but several choices of chair types was nice for me as I have trouble sitting. Glad I went there.Even better 2 nd time.

Holly does not speak english that well so it was really hard for me to understand what she was saying or to communicate with her and I was really really trying to. My nails look terrible it does not even look like I went to a salon. Im so upset I literally have nail polish ALL OVER me! I could I have done a better job myself at home for free. Waste of my money and time

Sunny Nails salon is terrible about honoring appointments. The last 3 times I made an appointment with Lynda and still had to wait 30-45 minutes for service. The owner doesnt seem to care whether the customers are happy with the service and this salon charges too much to leave dissatisfied!

Quinn is beyond The BEST!!! The salon is CLEAN and theres little to no wait time.. I am relocating from the West coast and felt I was not going to find a replacement Boy was I Wrong! Sunny nails can do it All. +the prices are Good. Never unhappy.

Always able to get in quickly without feeling like you are inconveniencing anyone. My favorite thing is their pedicures. Large salon and clean.Edit 2018Although this place seems outwardly clean I am somewhat concerned about cleanliness of tools. All tools are kept at the manicure station and they keep a cookie sheet for their nail filling scraping powder at the station. I have never seen them clean or rotate tools while having nails done. At pedicure tools are under the side tables but Ive never seen them bring them from the back with new or clean utensils. Foot scrubbing stone is cleaned in the water that your feet have been soaking in. I could be wrong with some of the things Ive seen, but I have had personal instances here that i will not be returning because of. Just inquire how their tools are being cleaned and make your own decision.

Bad service.Rated as zero. Their products are cheap specially the shellacs.I came back 2 days after I had a shellac because it fell off but the owner said my nail broke thats why she is not fixing it.I know my nails..I’m sure it didn’t crack!! I’m not imbecile.Then she just left without any excuse to check on a customer.So rude! A business owner without any professional degree and manners.

Absolutely horrible.. nancy did a horrible job shaping,painting and making sure the lengths match and constantly getting up to go do other things. When i complained about my nail being a lot shorter than the others she just used more acrylic to fix it in the end my nails looked horrible. When going to complained about how bad my nails looked she told me it was a quick fix when paying 40+ dollars a quick fix should not be the answer you fix it the correct way. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT GOOD NAILS.

They always do a great job!

Well, first off. I was getting my prom nails done when they painted them she put the clear coat on immediately after. When she did that the polish smeared and messed up the whole nail, when I asked them to repaint the TWO nails they messed up with black and white polish, she REFUSED to fix them. Arguing back and fourth with her for a while, I had to leave to go to work so I ended up leaving with my nails not fixed! Then she told me not to forget about the tip as I was getting ready to leave. This place is extremely horrible. It was my first time coming here and I will never be back. Worse nail place ever and SO EXPENSIVE. She also made me pay before she put on polish so I had no way to take my money back. I will make sure to tell all my friends not to go there because I never had such horrible service. NEVER GO HERE!!!

Was told this place was very nice. So I decided to try it out. Should of checked the reviews first lesson learned. Needed my eye brows done badly so decided to also treat myself to a pedicure. Complete waste of money. I give myself a pedicure every week and do a much better job. The water was barely warm. When I asked her to make it hot she made it a little warmer. Due to having to wear work books all week long I get calluses on my heels and side of my foot. I asked her to please work on them. She did not at all. Literally she took a pumas pad and rubbed my foot with it for not more then 10 seconds. When I asked her about the calluses she told me she could not remove them any better with out hurting me. Then started to speak to another tech in her language. No it will not hurt me because I fix them myself every week. The calf massage was non existent. Not one thing about it was nice or relaxing. The pedicure I give myself weekly look more professional and feel better. I redid my own this evening. As for my eye brows they do look nice. Good shape and arch. But on both eyes there was also some skin pulled off. Where it looks like I scraped right under one brow and right over the other. I have never had this happen before getting my eyebrows done. And it was more expensive then where I would of usually have gone. I will never be returning there and I suggest others do not go there either.

Went in with a friend to have a girls night. The lady I have rushed through everything and I was finished way before my friend was. And I had lifting the very same night. I now have lifting on every nail and my friends no longer has any of her nails as they all lifted and fell off. Very disappointed.. now looking for a new place to get them balanced and fixed.. wouldnt recommend this place to anyone..

I honestly can not start to tell anyone how aggravated I am with the gentlemen that works at this salon. I think this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I went in for a gel fill and polish. I went in with longer, thick, and duck shaped nails. I asked to keep my length, thickness, and shape. The man who did my nails at table 5, drilled my polish off.. but not all of it. Continued to fill my nails with prior polish still visible. Drilled my nails down to a little thicker of paper thin. While trying to fix his mistakes to the sides of my nails because they were not filled properly, he filed down the sides of my nails which mutalated my duck shape. I could almost say they were coffin shaped. After looking over my hands side by side. My right thumb nail is shorter than my left. My nails are natural with an overlay. So this is even more aggravating to me. About every three minutes he would ask Look okay?, I would tell him what was wrong and what I wanted him to do about it. Its like What I was saying was being completely avoided. When he was finished with my fill, I told him I no longer wanted paint and I need to find a different salon to fix my nails and needed to be cashed out. While approaching the register, I asked for either the manager or the owner. He owner asked me what was wrong. I explained the above. He seemed to be upset and he apologized. The woman, maybe his wife? Was very sweet and offered to fix them for me. She offered an extension on my right thumb. But no option to fix my shape. I know my shape could have been fixed, it would have taken time and patience but it could have been fixed. I would have taken her up on her offer to fix them if she was able to fix my shape.. but just an extension wasnt cutting it with me. I expressed that I wasnt willing for them to fix it and I would rather go elsewhere. He told me I did not have to pay for my fill. I gave him ten dollars for his time and walked out.The color selection for shellac is very basic. Lots of neutral colors, oranges and pastels. Nothing wild, no brights or color changing. They had maybe a 12-16 option glitter panel that pretty nice. If they do designs, it was not displayed anywhere. Salon seemed very clean. Prices seemed a little costly. Owners seem like great business people and really do want you to be happy. I wont risk coming back to this salon.*This review is in regards the Salon located in the plaza with Kroger and DQ @ the corner of Central City and Ford Rd.

Each time Ive gone service was horrible when people of color are being serviced. I have gone there on several occasions because they are close by, but I noticed the difference I how other ethnic groups are serviced compared to blacks

Ive been there a few times, But yesterday I went to get a fill and toe nail change, I was told to sit at booth #3 after waiting an hour, when the tech finally came she was so rude, & nasty while smiling! She actually yelled at me to lift my foot and when I did she grabbed it foot and yanked my leg to place it on a certain spot on her knee. I said hold on dont do that, she stops & smile for ten seconds.. & she does it again! I said Noo not today! Remembering my very first visit she actually did my full set & pedi I guess I shouldve learned lesson from then. #3 was rude and nasty then! I think she hates her job! I was so very disappointed!

So terrible!! Not only did my shellac start to come off in five days The lady was painting my nails and kept getting it on the sides then she kept taking her nails to get it off it hurt and did it everytime she painted a nail! Crappy pedicure on top of it and it cost a lot!! Extra for everything to remove dead skin $5 extra? Thought that usually comes with any pedicure ??

Went here today for the first time because ive moved to Michigan and am looking for a new nailshop. Long story short the lady said she didnt have time to take off my gel because it was too thick and I sat with foil and acetone wrapped around my fingers while I waited for someone to have time (almost an hour) and my fingers started burning and the younger guy took them off for me and did my nails. I didnt realize until I got in my car that my fingertips are actually burnt from the acetone sitting for too long. I dont know if I can post a pic on google...(they dont have a yelp account) but im going to try and post it if I can...

They are an 5 out of 10 dont have to wait much when I do go especially Fridays but they are not perfect half the time when Im getting shallac the one lady I seem to get lately doesnt let my nails sit under fully they be looking messed up they dont shape them correctly and they do argue over your nails how are you gonna have somebody who doesnt do nails correctly and over charge you as well fix it!

Horrible customer service. I asked for her to do tips. And when she showed me my nail to ask if i like it... it honestly looked like a little kid did my nail. She said she would fix it so i allowed her to do so then it looked worse then the first time. So i said she could just paint the whole nail because i didnt want all my nails to look horrible so figured she could at least manage to do that. When i checked out i checked out i explained to the manager that i hated my nails it wasnt what i wanted at all and i didnt want to be rude and ask for another tech so i figured the least she could do is give me a discount but instead of understanding she was so rude. She said the tech said i wanted straight tip which i dont once remember telling her this!!! Then she got an attitude and couldny even explain herself or speak clear english for that matter!! I just ended up paying for the worse nail job ive ever gotten! 25 more like 5 dollars i could of did this at home and a much better job. Will never return! Horrible customer service, we are in america speak clear english!!! Then maybe you wouldnt have a problem with mis communication if we could understand your nail techs.
