I was very impressed with the staff, Maggie, and Dr. Shuster. They made me feel right at home and didn’t critique me on not taking better care of my teeth like some other dental offices. My experience with Maggie was the best cleaning I had ever had / hands down. Instead, they took the time to explain how I can improve my oral health and what preventative measures I need to take. I had such an amazing experience today at this office. Olga was very well educated and really helped me understand in depth the effect of tartar on the gums. I felt very relaxed and not rushed and was able to answer all my questions. The doctor was very professional and helpful as well. Great first impression!

Dr. Shuster is on maternity leave (she is fantastic) but the person covering for her was also fantastic. I’ve had a crown that is affecting my bite and she took all the time I needed to listen and try to remedy the problem. The hygienists are always gentle, thorough and pleasant.

This was my first visit to Academy Dental Care. They were very efficient and safety conscious. I was greeted pleasantly from reception to dental hygienist to doctor. From someone who doesnt enjoy dental visit I would recommend them. Thank you Academy team.

If you try to do general cleanup and simple task, this is the place you can go. But I tried to do a normal root canal, they referred me to another doctor, after took full month X-ray. Also asked me to do cleanup every 3 months to avoid deep clean that the 1st time I heard in 30 years visit to dentists.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Shuster. I haven’t had the best experiences with dentists in the past, and she’s a 180 from that: always takes the time to explain what’s going on, and your options, and I’ve never felt pressured or questioned whether anything she recommended was necessary (contrary to my experiences with other dentists). She’s done caps, crowns, and other work for our family, and went to lengths to ensure it was all “built to last.”I brought my 3yo in for his first cleaning yesterday and—much to my surprise—she was there to do it herself, just 4 wks after having twins. It speaks to the kind of person she is—she’d stopped by the office, saw him on the schedule, and suited up to see him herself because she wanted to be sure he had an awesome first trip to the dentist. She cares about her patients and her practice, and I can’t recommend her highly enough.

After years of not going to the dentist I decided it was time to take better care of my teeth. After reading so many great reviews I decided to go to Academy dental and I do not regret it. To echo the other reviews Dr. Shuster is amazing. She is by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I hate dentist visits and get anxiety but she made me feel comfortable. Dr. Shuster and the staff at the office are very nice and helpful. The hygienist that did my cleaning was very gentle. Dr. Shuster truly cares about her patients. When I initially came in and I didn’t even want to proceed with the cleaning, a month later all my cavities are filled and I have a teeth cleaning scheduled. I’ve been to many other dentists but Dr. Shuster is truly exceptional!! If I could I would give her 10 stars!!

Dr. Shuster is the best thing that happened to my teeth. She’s extremely gentle and explains every procedure. She also provides you with great advice on what to do and what not to do. Not as happy this time. Didnt get to see my regular Dentist, Dr. Shuster, and the Dentist who looked me over at the end was trying to say I need a crown for a tooth that has had a crack for 30 years. Crowns are $1,500+, I know this because I got my first crown from them 6 months ago. Unnecessary procedures to line doctors pockets is why people move on! I literally HATE the dentist and was so happy with Dr. Shuster last time that he has ruined it for me again.

I had a wonderful experience at Academy Dental Care. I had a recent change in dental insurance, requiring me to seek out a new dental practice. I was worried to go to a new dentist especially during the time of the pandemic. However, Academy Dental Care provided COVID strict protocols in advance and one I was there, I felt very comfortable in the dental chair and had a very detailed and thorough cleaning. Dr. Shuster is also very personable, friendly and answered all of my questions - exactly what I was looking for in a dentist. The dental space is very well kept and maintained - all brand new re-done dental office that was very nice and clean. I will definitely be returning there for my next dental visit.

This was the first time I had been back to a dental office in awhile (shame on me). I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the best at flossing, but I try and take care of my teeth. I hate going to the dentist, but I knew putting it off any longer would just mean more time in that chair. I told myself I was going for a spa day for my teeth and that helped with my anxiety (a tiny bit) before going. Once I got there, my anxiety quickly faded. Everyone was extremely professional and could not have been nicer. I felt like I was in caring hands the entire time. I made a promise to myself and the dental team that I would be back in 6 months. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

I have avoided the dentist since I was a child and so when I finally mustered up enough courage to become an adult, I researched dentists in my area and came across Dr. Ella Shuster. I was extremely nervous about the teeth cleaning procedure to the point of anxiety tears. But that was a piece of cake thanks to her highly skilled and comforting staff. When I was told I had multiple cavities, obviously! for 20 years avoidance, Dr. Ella Shuster was able to detect horrible fear and anxiety in my eyes. She knew I wasn’t coming back, so she explained the importance of visiting the dentist and prescribed me a single pill to take the for my next appointment. After that, cavity fillings or needles didn’t scare me. I even came back 8 months later for another visit without the help of the pill. It was went so smooth! I actually started scheduling regular visits. Who knew? I highly encourage you to visit her and her staff if you’re scared of or avoid dentists in general. You’ll wish you went sooner!

The Hygienist was harsh and unfriendly. Never had this discomfort dental cleaning. And as I feel the pain she would become more aggressive rather calming down.

My adult son had his first appointment with Academy Dental this evening. Everyone in the office was extremely pleasant and professional. The Dr. was very very nice, easygoing and friendly. For someone who is afraid of the dentist, Dr. Ella and her office team are great! Kate (hygienist) really understood my concerns and fears and was very gentle. I am using academy dental for 10 years. My previous dentist was too aggressive and suggested to remove 4 teeth, which dr Shuster found unnecessary, and for 10 years these teeth are still in place.Office personal is safe and friendly. I definitely recommend Dr. Shuster.

The dentist restored my smile and was very sensitive to my needs. The hygienist who performed the two cleanings I needed was also amazing and each time I have been there I have left happy despite the several needles that were required. Our family sees Dr.Ella Shuster. To start, they have a “family room” where parent/child can be in the same area. This is probably more comforting for me than for my kids! :) Their Covid protocols are excellent and the office is pristine. My 9y/o son had to have a dental procedure and without going thru the details, suffice it to say that I was super nervous and Dr.Shuster took the time to discuss the options with me and then once I was “at ease”, she had a discussion with my son too, which HE really appreciated!! He was glad that she took the time to speak with him and include him. I know that not all kids may want to be part of a dental discussion lol but he was definitely grateful! Also, I never ever feel rushed and yet, the appointments run like clockwork!! On time. Easy in, easy out! Dr.Shuster is highly knowledgeable, skilled and empathetic.

The hygienist did a great job but when it came time for my exam I got a doctor I was not familiar with. I am very comfortable with Dr. Shuster who I have had as my dentist for the past 5 years.
