I had a dental emergency and was seen almost immediately. I had a root canal that was painless! The Dr. and her staff explain everything that needs to be done and encourages questions to ensure a full understanding. The whole experience, right down to the atmosphere and decor of the office, will put you at ease and make your procedure as comfortable and painless as possible. If I could give this amazing team of professionals a 10, I would.

Dr. Ivy and staff (Dawn especially!) were truly wonderful during my experience. I was scheduled for a later date but toothaches dont care about pre-scheduled appointments. I called the office at 7:30 am and they were able to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment at 12:15pm. I was in searing pain and even cried because I was afraid of the anticipated procedure but Dr. Ivy comforted me, not in a weird this is nothing kind of way but in a way that actually made me feel better and not crazy for being afraid.Yes, there are out of pockets costs because dental insurance wont pick it all up, but the comfort and care I received was worth every single penny.Thank you Perry Endodontics!!

Dr. Perry and the entire staff were very kind, patient and professional. I was terrified facing a root canal and Dr. Perry’s promise there would be no pain along with her reassuring manner made the process very tolerable. I had been dealing with a lot of pain in the tooth and taking a lot of pain meds. That’s ALL gone now! I am so happy I went and very happy with the outcome. I also have to add that the environment of the practice is unique and definitely contributes to you’re peace of mind. It’s very quiet with soft, relaxing music overhead. Dr. Perry is all around wonderful. Sitting in waiting area, you notice it is impeccably clean. Her staff are professional. She still had my records from first care 18 years ago. Recent visit was for 2nd root canal. She is kind, comforting, explains the procedure and two for two with performing a root canal on me with no pain. 6/8/2021I had a root canal with Dr. Perry 2 months ago. Last week the tooth on which she performed the root canal fell out. After visiting my dentist, I learned that Dr. Perry had seen a fracture in my tooth before performing the root canal. This information was never shared with me. Had I known, I may have chosen a different treatment. Now, after paying for a very expensive root canal, I am going to have to pay for a crown. I would not recommend Dr. Perry to anyone.

ROOT CANALS REMIND ME OF DUSTIN HOFFMAN IN MARATHON MANDuring the pandemic many people avoid seeing dentists. When my tooth began aching I couldn’t get an appointment with my dentist on Cape Cod. My face started swelling and I was flirting with infection of my sinuses and ear. I finally got a dental appointment and antibiotics on Friday but needed an endodontist urgently. The dentist said he works with a fabulous endodontist and he set up an appointment for Monday at 7:45 a.m. I arrived with an attitude of “put me out of my pain”. From the receptionist Anna I past to the gently reassuring care of the dental assistant Elizabeth who took x-rays and 360 scans of my teeth with clear and supporting directives. Dr. Perry entered in her hazmat PPE and reconfirmed my aches and pains with a little probing and various exploring. Then she kindly explained 2 scenarios for outcomes the better of which would be “no serious cracks: get root canal and save tooth”Scenario 2: irreparable damage and severely broken tooth “out it comes”. She then started an almost hypnotic but gentle, precise and positively assertive surgical procedure I have ever experienced in 63 years as a dental patient. She was so artful that I didn’t even know the local anesthetic had been applied until I realized the process was progressing when she gave me words of encouragement as she and her assistant exchange tools and suction and drills.And suddenly it was done. I thought for a moment 🤔 NO PAIN! I’m dreaming. Facing my first root canal, I was super anxious and pretty afraid that my tooth wouldnt get numb enough, after having had dental experiences where I was worked on despite feeling bad pain. Dr. Ivy was so wonderful and would not start working on my tooth until she confirmed I felt no pain. And its true, there was NO PAIN during the procedure, which was done skillfully and efficiently. TL;DR: AMAZINGOk heres the thing-- Im a super nervous dentist-fearing person and Dr. Perry and her team WERE SO GOOD TO ME. They are incredible medical professionals and so attentive to my nervous needs. Ive had previous horrifying dental experiences where I felt everything and didnt feel like I could ask questions, and this was the opposite experience in every way. She told me afterward that I shouldnt hesitate to call her if my tooth started feeling worse-- which made me feel taken care of especially during this horrifying covidy time. Also, they strictly limit the amount of people in the office and keep it SUPER CLEAN which allayed any covid fears. They even gave me a fluffy blanket because I was cold/panicky before the drilling. I looked like a little sheep. Dr. Perry even called my tooth cute. It was as pleasant an experience as one could have during a root canal.

When you walk into Perry Endodontics, the waiting room is like walking into a spa, its calm and relaxing and the administrative staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at ease and welcome. The technology they use is top notch to see each root and canal of your tooth. The assistants and Dr Perry and Dr Ivy take you through each step and talk with you about any and all questions and what steps they take to fix your tooth. Dr. Perry did my tooth and it was badly infected. She was very gentle and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I received a post op call the next day to make sure I was doing alright. I was blown away by how helpful, meticulous and caring this practice is. Dr. Ivy and Dr. Perry are awesome and the only endodontists I would ever wish to deal with should I need to in the future. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Perry and her staff. I needed a root canal and they got me in in less than 24 hours. The friendly staff greeted me and the kindness and compassion was evident throughout my appointment and beyond. My root canal was a difficult one due to being so far back in my mouth and having 3 roots, one with a crook off of it. Her tiny hands fit in my mouth easily. Throughout the process she made sure I was not in pain. She speaks calmly but clearly and keeps you informed. After the procedure she ensured I was healing well. I cannot say enough about her. If you are unfortunate enough to need a root canal, call Dr. Perry. You will not regret it.

She made me feel like I was the only one there, like a spa kind of feeling. Her staff of people were very kind, considerate, and very pleasant to be around with. All the testimonies, about Dr. Perry are accurate and true, because I experienced the same thing and that true genuine rewarding feeling instead of the horror stories of a root canal. Loved this office. Dr Perry was professional, very nice and did a great job on my son. He needed multiple root canals, due to a baseball incident. We were in the office many times, and I was sad to be done, thats how nice Dr Perry and her office staff were.

I have been to this office for two procedures, (my 2001 root canal is going strong!) and I have heard of no other doctor who does this work in this area who gives so much care to her patients as Dr. Shin-Perry. Imagine walking to an office and feeling welcomed the moment you walk in, being informed of every decision being made about your treatment, and being comforted by the fact that when the doctor says she will take care of you and not to worry, you realize you didn’t have a worry to begin with. Imagine all of this happens before you even get started on the procedure.While I don’t wish to have a root canal any more frequently than every 15 years or so, I wish all practices would take a page from Dr. Shin-Perry’s book. While I can’t promise that there won’t be needles, and unfortunate necessity, I can promise that you will leave here feeling that you got the best care possible.

Dr. Perrys office is more like a spa than a dental office with soft lighting, music, lip balm, and warm lavender towel to clean my face in the end. Her work is outstanding. I felt no pain during my time there, only the pinch with the Novocain. In fact, I fell asleep a few times during the procedures.

Dr. Shin Perry is a wonderful endodontist who skillfully resolved my root canal problem. That place is amazing, Dr Perry is very nice, gentle, polite, she takes the time to explain and makes sure you are comfortable during the procedure. This endodontist came highly recommended by my dentist to redo a route canal that was botched by another endondontist at Central Connecticut Endodontist in Vernon CT. I was willing to pay extra money out of pocket because Dr. Perry is supposedly “one of the best in the industry” to get the job done correctly.Her prices are extremely high in comparison to other endondontists but I didn’t want to risk the chance of another unsuccessful route canal.I called her office a week before the scheduled route canal to confirm the fee and to verify what the procedure would involve. I wanted to be very clear about my financial obligation and what would happen if the tooth was determined to be inoperable once the tooth was examined in more depth. I thought I had covered all my bases and went to the office for my scheduled appointment at 7:50 am. My appointment was at 8:00.I sat in the waiting room while several employees arrived for work and walked past me and took there places behind the counter. Not one of them acknowledged me. I finally went up to the counter at 8:22 and asked if the doctor was running late.They said no and that she would be right with me.I got in the chair at 8:30 and the assistant informed me that I would have to pay for additional xrays and scans because so much time had gone by since my last X-ray. This was never mentioned to me when I called just days earlier to confirm exactly what procedure would be taking place and exactly what the cost would be to me.This wasn’t the first time the office had misinformed me or my dentist. I tried for several months to reach out to Dr. Perry after my initial appointment where I paid out of pocket for a cone beam scan. After several months went by without a return call, I complained to my dentist that I had paid a lot of money for the special scan and Dr. Perry would not return my phone calls. I was waiting for her to explain what my options were to resolve the problem tooth.My dentist stepped in and he was told by the office staff that the reason Dr. Perry wasn’t returning my phone calls was because I kept making and cancelling appointments. When I let him no that was a flat out lie, he called Dr.Perry’s office again to ask for proof of appointments made and broken to which they responded, “ we had her confused with someone else”.After approximately 3 months and at least 6 calls to Dr. Perry’s office, I finally got a call back from Dr. Perry explaining the results of my scan. This amount of time was unacceptable.I should have known better than to go forward with a route canal after being ignored for such a long time.If you are looking for a good endondontist I would look elsewhere. Dr. Perry and her office staff are extremely unprofessional and she is apparently making too much money to bother with returning phone calls to people in pain.She may be the best in the industry but if she can’t return a phone call, acknowledge your presence in the waiting room, or give you an actual cost for a procedure without throwing in additional costs while you are sitting in her chair I would say she is one of the worst.

I have been through many root canals and it sounds silly but this was my favorite one. The office was very relaxing and professional. My procedure was extremely easy for me and I am not one who loves dental work. I had Dr. Ivy Pruitt Ahluwalia and she was extremely reassuring and kept me informed of the progress of the treatment each step of the way.I would not go anywhere else and I would feel completely comfortable recommending this practice to anyone!Thanks, Judi

Dr. Ivy and Jana were great giving me my root canal today. They work so well together that it gives for a stress-free atmosphere. Dr. Ivy is great at numbing so I had no pain.

Having a root canal at Perry Endodontics is like going to a luxury spa. It was a wonderful experience.Everyone is so kind and pleasant. The quiet atmosphere and serine music puts you at easy and is very relaxing. Dr. Perry is gentle and caring. I had a great experience here. Im someone who gets very nervous, but was put at ease by the staff. dr. ivy was very professional, kind, and helpful. I had to unexpectedly come back for a second appointment, but again was comforted by dr. ivy. I had no trouble getting through my appointment. hopefully, I wont need to come back, but would choose perry endo for my needs.

I was extremely nervous about having to have a root canal but my nerves subsided once I got in the chair. Everything was completely painless. Even the Novocaine injection didnt hurt. My office refers to her all the time and I can see why. She is by far the best endodontist in north east!

The procedure was quick, pain-free and I left feeling happy that I have finally gotten my root canal done. The doctor and rest of the staff is very friendly and makes you feel good about yourself.

Dr. Perry is an amazing endodontist. I needed to have a retreatment on one of my root canals and she did a phenomenal job. All my questions and concerns were addressed and she made me feel at ease! I would highly recommend her!

Although she was very courteous and gentle, I did not like some techniques she used and had some complications. She was most obliging. I like her greatly as a person. But for my next root canal, I would return to my past endodontist. I still have some residual nerve pain/damage 2 years after the procedure. But mine may be an isolated case, I dont know. I absolutely feel she is a dedicated doctor.

It was such a pleasant and comfortable experience for me and now I can understand even more how important it is to be there for our patients when they need us because I was that patient as well.
