Erik does a great job. The shop is and always has been extremely well run. It’s certainly worth the 45 minute drive to get a haircut from masters of the craft. - J

First off, the shop was located in the corner, you walk in and it’s very masculine and modern chic ambience. This was my first time to set foot in a barbershop in 25 + years. Always been at the hair salon until today, scheduling was easy on line. I chose Joseph “Joe” because of my niece who knows him. Joe is meticulous with his details, he took time to get my hair done just right, this after C-19 and I lost a lot of hair.Suffice to say, I, will be back. He is wonderful with his shears. Thanks Joe.

Especially for my first cut here but Erik did a perfect job and was a blast to chat about music with. I was a bit concerned when I booked the cut, with all the buzzes and fades in the photos, but he did a perfect job. He did exactly what I wanted (long-ish hair). I will be back!

Was long overdue for a haircut so I made an appointment online late last night and Ive never been here before so I randomly chose Alejandro. Well I chose correctly! Not only was he polite and personal while in his chair but he also gave me the best haircut Ive had in quite some time. The shop itself was clean, had barriers up for social distancing/covid purposes, and was reasonable priced. I will definitely be going back to Alejandro and The Wolves Den for my next cut!

They took my son and I the same evening we made an appointment, which was epic because our normal barber has been booked and we can’t seem to get a time with in my work schedule, ugh. This place is spotless clean and great vibe. My only issue, and again I just have a high barber shop expectation as that’s all I’ve know my whole life is going to barber shops is that we didn’t get the true barber hair cut. No straight edge around the back or even alone the hair line. It was literally a buzz fade then a quick trim on top and good bye. For 45 and 25 haircuts I’d expect somewhat of a real barber feel. Is it Covid protocols ? Idk I definitely recommend them as the hair cuts on both me and my son where good and they take same day appointments, just know your expectations. I have tried this place out a couple times hoping it was just the barber i was having a bad experience with, but i have been to just about every barber there, the haircuts are not worth the price they are uneven and rushed, the barbers are rude and foul mouthed and play inappropriate music, and the owner is just money hungry and doesn’t care about the shop like he should, the last time i was there he actually came into the shop and the way he was talking to one of his employees was beyond unprofessional and disrespectful. Only okay experience (haircut wise) was with Joe, very respectful guy who takes his time and cares. The shop is not a good fit for westfield, plus the one barber always looks high out of his mind! Get it together, and to the owner (whos never even there) take better care of your shop and treat your employees with respect, they are the ones holding it down making you the money. Would NOT recommend this shop.

Excellent barbershop. They follow Covid-19 procedures and have a very clean shop. Nicole is an excellent stylist. Appointments are easy to schedule and the service is excellent.

Nicole is one of the most talented barbers I have ever met. She listens and make suggestion and you walk out feeling and looking your best. It is very comfortable sitting in her chair, she has a down to earth personality which makes her very easy to talk to. The Wolves Den is a clean professional establishment . As an older client I never felt out of place or uncomfortable being in this modern shop, as I had in other shops. No loud music or barbers dancing around the chairs acting up. I would highly recommend the Wolves Den and Nicole, but please don’t book all of Nicole’s time and allow me to get my haircut appointments every 3 weeks.

Got a haircut first thing in the morning by Erick navarro, 9am early. Erick is a funny, compassionate, and thoughtful person, youll forget your getting a haircut after you talk for the entire 30mins about just anything. If you have tried the wolfsden please go it is worth the value of the cut, it is his profession and i plan on going back due to the fact i look great.

Professional, clean, and safe setup and this is from someone wary about getting a haircut in these times. Erik gave me a great cut and I got to talk about horror movies and punk. My definition of a perfect barbershop experience. Just moved to the area this year, glad I found this place, will definitely go back.

I was able to get one of the first appointments post covid shutdown. I was emailed directions on what to do / what to expect the day before so there were no surprises. I waited in my car for the scheduled appointment time and I was called in to the shop right on time. Immediately upon entry I was given a temperature check. There are partitions separating the chairs, everyone is masked up and I felt very safe being in that space. Nicole did a fantastic job of cutting around my ears even with the straps of my face mask over my ears!

For the past 3 years the only person that has ever touched my hair is Joe. Awesome place, amazing staff, they make you feel welcome unlike other barber shops, and the atmosphere is great. I take the 40 minute drive twice a month and regret absolutely nothing. 11/10

Great barber shop in Westfield and in the overall Union County area! The staff there are all very welcoming and its a very relaxed environment. Everyone that I know that goes there to get a service done is never disappointed. I highly recommend my barber Joseph, but all of the staff there are honestly great. My only advice to potential clients is to reserve an appointment ahead of time. You may get lucky with a walk in, but as is with any highly popular place they are usually booked.

Had my first haircut since the pandemic and Wolves Den did an excellent job (as always). The shop now has plexiglas dividers to ensure 6-feet distancing; the staff wear masks and gloves; the clients wear masks and those waiting keep a distance from each other.

Steve is awesome! Experienced Master Barber with precision that I have never seen before. Not just a “clip chop shop” kinda barber...scissors mostly, then strategic use of the clippers makes for a great look! Highly recommend the hot towel shave as a special treat. I didn’t need to shave for 3 days after!

I have been going to The Wolves Den for a few years now and have been 100% satisfied with each experience/haircut. The music they play has me pulling out Shazam every few minutes; the aesthetic of the shop makes me feel like the man my dad always wanted me to be (Ill never truly get there, but the shop gives me inspiration time and time again); and all the barbers have a dynamic that makes you feel like you are part of a group of friends. Lastly, the service. I get compliments within a few days of every new cut. I think it speaks volumes to the quality of the work when, at my work, a passing barber complimented my hair and asked me which barbershop I go to. I recommend The Wolves Den to everyone I know, and I recommend it now to those reading.

I get my haircuts from Joseph. Every time i get my haircuts i feel like a new man, a fresh man, like i can face the world without fear. Joseph is very professional. You tell him how you want your hair done and he gets the work done on point (literally, because i get my sideburns pointed, and they are sharp every time, like i can stab people with it).The shop itself is inviting. The environment has a rustic feel that give positive vibes. The prices may be expensive, but it’s quality that you’re paying for. The major differences between TWD (the Wolves Den) and other barbershops are the skills of the barbers. The techniques they use to get your hair to ‘fall down’ a certain way so that you don’t have to pay much attention to your hair but still look ‘clean’ will get you that end result every time. It’s difficult to find a skillful barber you can trust with your hair. The guys (and girl) at TWD have those skills and qualities if not more.

My experience at the wolves den is always positive. Ive been going there since it opened and every appointment has been honored, the haircuts have been great, and the service is very professional. I vary from a scissor cut to a fade and they do both great. Nicole is my go to barber, but Ive been cut by pretty much everyone there.

Terrible experience with the Berber, first he does not know the differences between mid and short hair cut. I think he was high all the time when he was cutting hair and used vulgar jokes and used the f word at least 2 times. Should let people see the hair cut so then one could stop immediately. I do not understand the amazing experiences people having here. . Now I have to wait for another 60 days for the hair to grow. However the blame was passed onto me because I asked for it. What a service!

Jason and Eddie are incredibly professional and extremely precise when it came to my cut. They cut the beard great here. Ive gone to many places in the surrounding areas and have not had a better cut then here. Theyre quite busy and sometimes it can be hard to get them on the phone even to make an appointment.

Hands down top 3 barbershop in NJ, comparable only to Razorsharp Barbershop (Metuchen, NJ) & Original Sharp Barbershop (Millburn, NJ). The atmosphere is always incredibly inviting, not to mention a very attentive and welcoming set of barbers. Ive gotten haircuts there since theyve opened and the quality is amazing! The owner and operator of this establishment is doing a great job of choosing his staff of barbers! If youre on the fence about switching barbershops, or tired of getting the same lame looking haircut from Supercuts/ Greatclips, this is your first and only stop --You can thank me later.

Came to buy a gift certificate for the holidays. They had apparently run out of gift certificates despite the fact I called 25 minutes prior to showing up and trying to find parking. Before I made the purchase I asked the guy at the counter if they had gift certificate and he told me yes but when I went to make the purchase he told me they ran out of gift certificate and I would have to show the receipt of what I paid and where the barber scribbled the name of the recipient. I felt that was extremely tacky and I had already asked multiple times about gift certificate I was never told they never had certificates. Guy came back with a little ticket that you would get at a 50/50 raffle and wrote the recipients name on it.For the price that you pay for the services there is no excuse for this snafu, especially near the holidays that I should end up with a dollar store ticket that not only is a cheap presentation, but will make the recipient think the quality of service is poor. Because the item that I received to give as the gift is nothing but a flimsy ticket that is generic and has no identifiable information for the recipient as to where the barbershop is, I now have to create my own gift certificate and stick this embarrassing ticket inside.

They give a good haircut, but its beyond difficult to get an appt. They are always booked up and dont seem to care if you are a returning customer. They only have availabilities when normal people are working and wont try to fit you into the schedule. Their booking tool on the site doesnt work well, and they rarely answer the phone. I would like to return, but they make it almost impossible for me. If you dont work Mon-Thurs, this is your place. If not, good luck.

They are for the most part not officially certified Hair cutters. Some may have gone to Barber school or hair style school but most have NO DEGREE in any kind of certificate regarding the correct way to cut hair. This is not good. They get trained by each other : In other words their cousins and non professionals. The floor is always disgusting and not just with hair. PARENTS THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOUR TEENAGE SON to FEEL LIKE AN ADULT AND GO TO HIS FIRST MEN’s BARBER SHOP because if this was a reputable Barber’s shop you would know it by word of mouth . This so called “ barbershop is a waste of space in beautiful downtown Westfield. ZERO STARS.
