When we called for an estimate to replace an alternator on an 2006 Acura TSX, we were told $400. After we took the car to the garage were told it would costs $600. After the work was completed we were billed $700. The only part on the invoice was the alternator at $500. Similar alternators cost $150 online.Be vary cautious when dealing with this business. Their estimate are only the teaser to lure you in.

I discovered this place about 20yrs ago and it’s true: Always fair and Always honest. One of the best anywhere. The owner, Kevin must be a Master Mechanic. I highly recommend him for all your auto care, don’t take my words for it, go find out for yourself. He an’t no joke.

Was able to get in right away to get someone to look at my vehicle which was great, BUT I was given a $552 quote to fix a scratch on my bumper. I ended up buying a $2 sponge and used some dawn soap and with a little elbow grease was able to get the mark out of my bumper in no time. As a single woman I always hear about these things happening where they are mislead. Always get a second opinion.

WOW. i was told they were really good with time and prices !!!! LET ME TELL YOU. i dropped my car off at 8 am when they told me my appt was . i called at 1030 and they hadn’t even touched my car yet. and by the way. rude people . helpful but rude . at 1030 they said my car was NEXT UP ... okay... at 1230 they call to tell me that they are only HALFWAY to GETTING to my blower motor ... and then tell me it’s $750 to fix all of it ..... blower motor costs $50 ..... two and a half hours to not even at my blower motor yet.... i call some family and they find a mechanic and he comes to the house . FIXED MY BLOWER MOTOR IN LESS THE TWO HOURS .... what the hell were these people doing ?! and why over price people if you want them to come back?

I have tried several mechanics in the Columbus area from backyard to the more expensive ones. The backyard ones you never know what is going to happen, and the expensive ones the mechanics are more commissioned salespeople. Kevins is honest, good prices, sticks to his word, and knows what he his talking about. My wife and I rely upon him for our newer cars (upgrades) to our work pick up beater that needs work from time to time. Eliminate the guess work and have Kevin do the work, you will not regret it.

This place is a rip off! I paid over $800 for a water pump on my Dodge Durango and not even a year later I had to pay to replace the same water pump! The dealer said that it was not a new water pump, and I could see with my own eyes that it was leaking! Kevins Auto claims it was new, how could this be, and they refused to replace it! Stay far away from Kevin’s Auto Shop on Westerville Rd!

Great guys, they do great work on just about everything from cars to light duty trucks. Thew however are not the easiest place to find, they have a Westerville Rd address; but they sit back off of Westerville rd, once you turn and go back the side street they are easy to spot.

My car experienced major issues on the highway this morning between meetings. I could drive it slowly on back roads but not a highway. His shop was close so pulled in. Turns out it actually wasnt a huge fix, and he took me in right away and had me on the road in no time.

Weve had two vehicles in at Kevins-1 twice and 1 three times in the last month. Every time, my husband (who is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to cars) told them what he thought the issue might be, and they claimed they didnt hear/feel/see an issue when clearing there was a problem. The most recent time, he told Kevins he thought it might be the rotors and they didnt even check the rotors! My husband took it to his buddys shop in Coshocton-the front rotors were warped. We have spent way too much time and money for very few results. We will not be going back.

Took Audi q7 premium in for oil leak and AC repair, after 3 weeks we pick it up and oil leak was supposed to be fixed. Nothing was done to AC,,, says he couldnt test it due to cold temps. Not sure why he couldnt turn defrost on to make AC run. Still have oil leak and we drove 4 miles to work the first morning and belt broke. Took back to him and changed idler pulley, still burning belts so now wants to do$1000 alternator. By the way he changed crank seal for the oil leak and had pulleys and belt off for that but claims these issues were unrelated. Not going to keep putting expensive parts into things that worked just fine before.Update 2/9--Changed alternator myself and car still burnt belt same as before. Luckily I changed myself for $300 instead of $1,000. Googled some more info and found Battery Management fuse was blown. Changed 5 amp fuse and works just fine. Not sure that anything was ever wrong other than the fuse. Worse yet he serviced it while it was in for oil leak and I had to 1 gallon of oil to get to full mark after I got it running. Not sure what to think if cant even do simple service let alone know to check out things before throwing parts at it.

The company claims to be a VW specialist do my wife and I brought our passat station wagon there to get the A/C fixed. He had replaced the compressor and said he had tested it and that it was good to go. The day I picked it I quickly realized it was no better than before. At this point we had spent $900. I told Kevin that I was not pleased with the results and he told me that there was nothing he could do without tearing apart the dash to fond out what was going on which could cost another $900-$1200. I felt that it was ridiculous to have to pay that amount of money to fix my A/C.
