Came in from out of town around late July and Brooks was amazing to my girlfriend and I! He got us in on a good deal while we were visiting her family. He personally greeted me by name every day I walked in and made conversation. Great guy! Gym itself is alright, nothing to write home about but it has everything you need. Eating five stars mostly just for Brooks honestly!
The gym is clean, organized, always stocked with sanitizing wipes, and whenever the equipment breaks down its usually fixed fairly quick. Im giving it 5 stars mainly because of Brooks! Brooks definitely takes good customer service to the next level. For someone who has just started their journey to better health like myself the gym could be intimidating but getting greeted every morning by your name with a genuine smile makes it feel so welcoming that all those nerves go right out the door.
Brooks has amazing customer service. He always welcomes me, by name, and says bye when I leave. Whenever I have come to him with a broken equipment problem he has addressed it immediately.If I was just rating the customer service it would be 5! But, the sheer number of broken equipment and how long it takes to fix things is a 1 at best, so I averaged the numbers.

I would give 5 stars but there is a fair amount of equipment out of service due to some issue. I personally joined primarily to focus on my legs and endurance followed by upper body and core.There is only one stair climber that is functional. I was looking forward to a good chunk of my time there on this machine. Waiting for it to be available turns just over an hour workout into three.Now the staff so far has been top notch. Excellent customer service! I would recount this location to anyone!
Overall this Vasa gym is pretty good. They have good equipment and they just added a whole new performance lifting area. I wish they were a little quicker on fixing broken equipment, but most things are in pretty good shape.
I’ve been a member for a number of years & I’d like to commend Brooks for finally addressing & correcting the ongoing non punctual lateness issue. He’s not on time, he’s always early. I’m sure I speak for dozens of early morning members with a time constraint schedule. Not only that his personality, communication and interest in his place of employment, the conditions, & atmosphere are refreshing. That’s important in a gym setting to hold these qualities. This isn’t meant to be a biased review in anyone’s favor but are the facts. If I owned a business I’d want Brooks representing it. Thank You

It’s a great place and the staff is really friendly.I just wish the equipment would be fixed quicker when they broke. To be honest, if they had a new place to workout like a new competitor I’d consider going there just because us frequent breakdowns. It’s takes way to long to fix!!
So far it has been great. I typically go to this location early in the morning. Always clean, and employee is always friendly. Lot of options for equipment. Kept a Lil to warm in the workout area. I go into the Theater because its about 10-15 degrees cooler.
Great gym. I was a bigger fan of smaller gyms for a long time, but Vasa totally won me over. Brooks in the morning always says hello ~ which sounds dumb, but definitely someone that puts some pride in his work and thats nice and I really appreciate it. Morning crew > night crew.
Brooks front desk is always welcoming. He make sure he knows you by name and is very friendly. They could use a maintenance guy to fix things cause they take forever.
I took my son in to get our memberships and they had answered all of our questions promptly and professionally. The Vasa team are all professional and polite.
It has a great atmosphere. Really nice staff! I love going to the West Valley City location.
I joined solely for the swimming pool. It is an indoor pool, yet they do NOT heat the pool. It was too cold to swim in. Furthermore, it is only 4 to 5 feet deep so I cannot tread water as a low impact exercise. I should have looked at the pool before I signed up. Very disappointed.
The staff is great, I walk in every morning and Brooks always hyping me up and it gets me ready for the workout!

Bro this place makes me mad. There’s an arm curling machine and it has been broken for a month. I took a closer look at it myself because I was questioning why it was (and still is broken up to this day 6-14-21). It’s such a simple fix, not hard at all, I can do it myself in 3 minutes if I had the tools. And yet this place is taking a month. Same things with plenty of other machinery in this gym. Simple breaks/fixes are taking too long.
Super friendly and welcoming staff, equipment is maintained and almost always operational, clean facility with a very pleasant atmosphere.
I was harassed. Both my brother and I walked in maskless my first day and, while no one said anything, the next day Kim nearly screamed at me for not wearing a mask for 2 seconds while scanning my pass. That wasnt the only time she was confrontational. Zero calm and professional demeanor. No other basic employee asked me to wear a mask, yet I found myself a few days later with a 30-day suspension without warning. VASA does not exclusively reserve the right to suspend memberships without warning, yet did so to me even though in the Member Agreement it all it has to say about Face Coverings is, We strongly recommend members wear masks while in the club. To top off the ridiculousness, everyone I know that goes to VASA has NEVER worn a mask at any point inside any gym. I have no idea why I paid this company to harass me like this.
I love this Vasa location. The gym always seems clean. Equipment is usually all functioning and well maintained, with the occasional broken machine, but they are never down for long. They seem to care about social distancing. Members are taking accountability by wiping down equipment after use. When I started back at this gym after the pandemic shut it down, I hired a personal trainer. My current trainer, Ana, is awesome. She holds me accountable and pushes me further than I think I can go, giving me confidence for the next week. Other staff members are professional and seem to take an interest in my health goals with an encouraging word.
I love this gym and my trainer Adam. He challenges me but recognizes my limitations. I had a hurt thumb and he adapted on the fly my training. Check out the personal training! They are great! Ive seen some amazing results. They have worked with me to maximize my supersets, and maximize my time in the gym! Everyone that works here is so friendly! They greet me every time I come in!
Machines brake and they take forever to get fixed. The leg curl machine has been broken for 4 months now and they still havent fix it. The sauna is rather uncomfortable cause is used for both men and women
I love the friendly staff! They always welcome me and thank me for coming in! Ive been to 8 gyms so far in Utah since joined 2 weeks ago! Plan to hit them all! Feels covid safe sanitize wipes everywhere, I go at 5 am feel thats safest time right when open! Now build one in East Millcreek that is like all the other ones :)
As VASA member I can almost always get the same quality at any of their locations. This one seems a bit smaller than some of the other locations-particularly the basketball court. Though, the location doesnt seem as busy as some of the other locations.
We 5 stairs step machine and it been out for Months, not even mention about other workout machine we got here l, it take months to fix them while we get charge for every 6month extra money to fix stuff

Trying to cancel with Vasa is such a pain. The facility itself and the staff are great, but the billing department is horrendous. I called and emailed wanting to cancel, but the request never went through. 6 months later I get a notification of collection/outstanding debt on my credit report. Dont sign up with them if you think youll have to cancel your membership early, or you have to give them at least a 30 day notice and pay for one more month of membership when you try to cancel.
This gym is great. I lost my phone here and nobody stole it! Haha also the front desk helped me find it and even used their personal phones to find it via find my iPhone app. Candace/Candy is their name and they are AMAZING!! Luckily there’s pretty decent parking and the equipment isn’t bad. They also got a pool and basketball here too so that’s nice. But yeah great service!!!

Disappointed that social distancing while on machines is not being followed. Simply hanging a sign is not enough, theyre being removed.

Overall, I have enjoyed my membership here. While staff are friendly, I do wish they were more attentive to the facility maintenance. They often run out of sanitizer wipes, toilet paper in the bathrooms, and the roof on the north side has been leaking. The hot tub also needs a good scrub.I also wish they would look up people’s membership plan before allowing them to use the massage beds. I think this would help free them up for those who actually pay for it monthly.
Dont let your wife or child get sick and lose track and miss a couple of payments because VASA will gladly sue you with a ton of added on fees and not give you anyone who will work with you. Its your responsibility, they dont owe you a letter or a call. Id recommend a more ethical Gym.
My friend and I went in together to sign up and chase was more than helpful and thorough with EVERYTHING that the gym has to offer. Everyone I’ve encountered there is friendly. They gym is clean (& that’s a HUGE +).I’m so far enjoying the personal training I’ve also signed up for. After a year and a half of being at a desk job and not really getting up and doing anything & being totally out of shape it helps a ton to have the my personally trainer, Zeff, to be helping me know how to be specifically doing things correctly and pushing me to really get the most of my workout.
Nice staff. Nice facility. Over crowded. I spend more time walking around than working out waiting to get on equipment. 30 day cancellation policy is ridiculous! Vasa seems to make it particularly difficult to cancel. A good business makes it as easy to walk away as they do to sign up.
They didn’t change my billing on 2 separate occasions which resulted in charge back fees that I had to pay. I went into my account with the employee and the correct card info was saved on the account they just didn’t switch it for me. Just aweful customer service the customer loyalty team is trash too
I’ve been meaning to make this review. But a couple months ago I had the opportunity of meeting Marcos! And let me tell you he went above and beyond for me, he helped me with my gym pass and committed me to other things. Point is that you are very lucky to have Marcos as your employee he’s deserves all the recognition he can get!
Staff are friendly and consistent. I like the options with the functional training area, machines, and free weights. Its a polite and courteous community of patrons as well. I have found a great routine there.

Vasa is a credit trap! They claim to have no contracts but dont tell you when you sign up that you have to submit in writing 30 days in advance that you want to cancel your membership. When you walk into the club to cancel your membership they tell you you have to call a 1800 number. When you call the 1800 number, you are told that you need to go into the club to cancel. They are notorious! DO NOT SIGN UP! 24 hour fitness and Golds offer similar amenities and are actually honest!If you decide you have had enough of VASAs games and lack of honest information and decide to cancel your method of payment, and stop using the facilities, they will send you to collections. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH VASA!I had stopped attending after a year of on time payments because I became pregnant, I had 3 year old twins at home, I was working 50 hours a week, and I had an hour commute each way. Im sorry, mailing in a formal cancellation for something I didnt sign a contract for is unacceptable.I will be gathering the many, many other people I know of in my network who have had a similar response and pursuing legal action. Its pretty bad when all of the mortgage lenders you talk to respond with Oh my gosh, VASA IS THE WORST! THEY ARE TOTAL CREDIT BULLIES!

I’ve been coming to the gym for about a month and a half, It’s a good gym if you get a basic membership, but I upgraded my membership to one of there premium ones “25$ month” so I could use there hydro massage and steam room “specifically the only reasons I upgraded” but these last few weeks they have apparently been having trouble with there hydro massages, every time I come in they either have ONE or none of them, “working”, so I canceled my membership costing me 105$ I travel 20 minutes daily from downtown salt lake all the way here and pay the extra 15$ for things they NEVER have on, I never got a explanation why the hydro massages never “work” but when I come on the weekends there perfectly fine, it is NOT WORTH IT getting more than there basic membership and I wish there was something I could do to get my money back

My experience with this entire company was a joke. My teenage son got a membership to the gym on his own. When he tried to downgrade the membership at the gym they told him it was taken care of. On the next months bill they took out the same amount. When he called to inquire why it had not been down graded they said you had to fill out a form online. So then he decided to cancel the membership as he got a better work out at home. The next month the amount they took from my account was over $100!!! When I called they said his service had never been down graded, there were now late fees and if he wanted to cancel the membership there was also going to be a cancellation fee not to mention he was also charged an annual fee. The best part is every representative I spoke to laughed at me and told me I was the responsible party even though I never agreed to any terms and my signature is not on any of the paperwork. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and still seeking possible legal action. They go through a third party company for the billing. I guarantee what you are told in the physical location is completely different than what they tell you on the phone. All of this could have been avoided if they just cancelled the membership, refunded my money and did not do business with minors!

Had a FIT session with myself and daughter as well at two other gym members. The trainer was great. He explained what we needed to do and adjusted for each persons fitness level. Friendly staff, awesome equipment and location.
Even though I pay for a membership every month, the last time I visited this location I had to pay at the desk to get in. Whats the point of your membership if you still have make members pay at the door?I was never sent any kind of card or anything after signing up like I was promised.Ill probably be looking for another gym in the future.
I have had nothing but the BEST when it comes to service. The staff is still asking what they can do to make my experience better and more comfortable. My personal trainer is FANTASTIC...she has done a great job making my workouts specific to my needs and is such a POSITIVE person. Maddy has been the KEY to my success with VASAs personal training program. I would highly recommend this gym. Thank you to the whole VASA team!!!
Great place to workout. Pool, sauna and steam room are great and well kept. Light wear and tear in the men’s locker room. But nothing unexpected.
Not sure why people are rating the gym badly due to the company being shady but that isnt my place to say.I can say that at this location, I have had nothing but a great experience; new equipment, lovely staff, and the spa/pool/sauna are all in very good working order.By far one of the best VASA locations I have visited.

I trained with Nick for a year doing both one on one and group lessons. It was a great experience. I put on about 5 lbs of muscle and lost 10lbs of body fat. Nick is a good motivator and is constantly learning new things and staying in top of new trends and studies.
It’s become a part of my daily routine. I love the equipment there. Usually maintained well and the layout is nice and most everything is easily accessible. All employees are also friendly and welcoming.
Michal at the west valley location is an amazing trainer. She is never in a bad mood and has a way of pushing you without being a jerk! Shes fun to work with and truly cares about your personal goals. Shes accommodating, fun, loves what she does and I know she loves her clients.
I absolutely love Vasa. It changed my life. The coaches gave me the confidence that I could get stronger. I’ve always been the skinny guy my entire life and I’m starting to get some good gains. I’ve only been coming a month, but I’m starting to really like the way I look. And for that, I am incredibly grateful for Vasa. I love it here!
Far and away the BEST location for Vasa Kidcare! The ladies REALLY care about the kids and are extremely kind and sweet! The hours for Kidcare are good and I love that the Kidcare entrance is inside the actual gym instead of a separate outside door. Kudos to the Kidcare lead and the employees because its the main reason I come to this location.
Crowded times are futile to get anything done. Too small a facility for that many people. Broken machines creates a concentration of people waiting for the other machines of which are very few, anyway. Never any smaller weights available. Never a tan bed/booth available until a minimum of three people in front. Grrr. It’s difficult for me to get motivated to get there.Since I first posted this the facility got better. Maybe I hit it on unfortunate luck. Great place, super kind staff, great classes, free weights seem to be where they need to be. Thank you for responding and showing concern.
One of their better locations (mostly because it’s new). All the equipment works-at the time of this review-and the place is pretty clean. Best part is the hydro massage beds.
Just another Ballys, more interested in selling contracts than fitness. Was in town for a month (only) and asked them if I could buy a 1 month membership like stated on their website... no, I have to sign a minimum 6 month contract and then deal with cancelling it. I even offered to pay the same dollar value upfront, but they refused, saying Id have to wait until I was ready to cancel and then deal with it. Probably a good gym, but the customer service (or lack thereof) spoke volumes.
They trick you by saying that you can cancel at any time but in reality they dont tell you that you have to pay a fee to cancel your member ship after 6 months of paying the member ship plus 50 dollars more on the second month then you can cancel at no cost be sure to ask them questions or they will just trickOn top of that I talked to an employee here and he said, thats how they trick you. And I asked him what can I do and he responded with nothing and left to talk to other people this service is pathetic!
Centennial has been a well kept up gym for me i have seen great improvements. Front desk is always friendly when I come in! Iv had a few conversations with the manager Josie she’s always out cleaning up the gym throughout the day and it’s nice to see that someone cares!
I like the gym in general, but the 1 stars is because they have the parking after sunset without illumination, is pretty dark and I can barely see the cars and as a woman feels very creepy to walk around looking for my car, I can see the silhouette of the person walking around only, not even can tell if is a woman or man until they are very close, unfortunately that neighborhood also is not the best then is scary. I love the yoga class at night over there but I wont come back again until they turn on those big street lamps that I dont know why they have them if they dont use it. It doesnt make sense to me. I hope they change this.
Staff is always very welcoming and friend, equipment is always clean as well as facility. Only down side it is not very ADA friendly. Front door is heavy and makes it difficult for a person in a wheelchair to gain entry. Secondly the handicap toilet in mens bathroom isnt layer out correctly. But for me Ive been able to work around those issues but it would be nice to see those changes made.
Great fitness center if you live nearby. The staff is really nice and the center is really up to date with wifi and new machines. You have to pay extra to use the pool, basketball court, massage beds, and some other things but other then that, I dont see anything negative. I recommend this place if your looking for a good workout.
I called today my wife wants to buy a prepaid membership a a birthday present for six months maybe a year depending on pricing.They will only do a month to month which if anyone who has tried to cancel knows that the fees come out-Cancellation FEE Thirty day Notice FEE thats right if your yearly fee is due at that time they refuse to let that slid pay pay pay VASA considers customers more like their personal bank they take from.My wife loves this place I would give ZERO stars if I could due to the total lack of customer care consideration and service.
Mychal is a great trainer, and the facility is equally matched in staffing, maintenance, available equipment, and fun! As a trainer, Mychal has been a joy to work with, and a positive force for self-improvement! 3 months in and Im excited for the next 3 months of training!

Very good experience here. I used to go to Planet Fitness. I liked that gym a lot but I moved away. This gym in a good location. I was expecting a lot of pressure from sales guys. I didnt have that at all. They were very straightforward with me. It a good low honest price... No surprises. Maybe also I was expecting some huge gymtimidation. I also didnt get any of this. An added bonus is the pool which Planet Fitness did not have.
Mykal is amazing. I love that she pushes me to try new things, do more reps. I love having a personal trainer and I have completely felt inspired and thrilled at my progress. Mykal also makes sure Im doing each workout correctly. This is huge for me. At 56 I cant afford an injury. Im excited about having a VASA NOW SO CLOSE!!!🤗

Its clean and cool place to get fit with.I gave it a 5 star but tired of not having parking lot lights. Guess Ill just hope no one breaks my window of my vehicle.

The gym equipment and staff are good. My biggest issue was always with my account. Anytime I tried to sign in, it would say that “member doesn’t exist” I was constantly making new accounts and getting locked out. Trying to cancel has been a really big hassle, and they are constantly charging my card for extra fees. Even if you have been a member for over 6 months, they still charge you a $25 cancelation fee. The gym experience isn’t even worth the money/time spent trying to fix every problem.
I’ve had a VASA membership in the past for a different location. A better gym opened up and I moved. Anyway I was visiting SLC from out of town and didn’t want to miss training. These guys were the closest to where I was staying. Called ahead and was told they might be able to set me up with a free three day pass. I showed up in person and they weren’t able to do that. No big deal I don’t mind paying a little. And then they said their daily rate was $15! “So if I want to train for three days it would be $45?” I said incredulously. They confirmed. The guy at the front desk made it sound like it was pretty standard. Unless I went to a rec center. I’ve paid $5 a day at other gyms before. Not rec centers. I paid $15 for 24 hours. Got two sessions out of it.They only have one squat rack with adjustable safeties. What?? I couldn’t find a decent squat bar. All the bars lack knurling in the middle and are slick. Squat racks without adjustable safeties and bars with a slick center seems like a risky combo. My second session I did some bench pressing. The benches have thick padding. Good luck getting a secure base on that. To add to that the bench I was on was also wobbly. I didn’t dare bench above 315. The members would just take plates off the station I was on without asking. To make that worse it was tough finding enough enough plates. If all the stations were being used you might have a hard time getting anyone enough to get to 225.Value for the money is poor. This is not a $15 a day gym.To give credit where it’s due, it was clean and the staff were friendly.
Nick Remy is a wonderful trainer. He has helped me with my weight and muscle mass. Very personable and caring trainer. I would recommend him to anyone.
Even tho I don’t get involve with staff I go and do my work out, for the past days the lack of training and control of the facility has gone downIn the past day I have seen kids(7to 9) playing on the machines and the staff will be in the cellphone with out paying atención to what was going onSecond I have seen people with their belongings in the training floor (I trip in one) yes yes I was not paying attention, but still that is why there are lockersAnd the last experience the worstI was on the sauna and I young male come in with weights and start working out right in there, I had to move so he will not hit meWhen I brought it to the attention on the staff they did not know what to do and only saidThey will bring it up to the managerReally?? How that will resolve anythingBy the time the manager knows about it the person will continue and some one may get hurt!!So 😡

I love the classes, the movie workout room, massage chairs and all possible areas i haven’t tried yet. I’m still new but i love it.
Typically I go to another location but they are currently remodeling. This west valley location was dirty in most areas. Tanning bed looks like somebody sneezed in it. Mentioned it to the desk and they have me the “we know it’s rusted” line. I was able to wipe the mess with the sani wipes in the room. If you have extra time I recommend driving to another Vasa.

Very clean and most equipment is new and in good shape. I LOVE the cardio cinema! The hours are pretty awful and they open late all the time. Im waiting outside with several other people as we speak. They are 10 minutes late to open right now and Im sure Ill be waiting a lot longer.
These guys decided to start towing customers cars parked in faded line stalls without giving them any warning and the manager did it without permission from the excutives. It’s a 300 fee to get your car out awesome way to treat paying customers and to get people who already don’t like to quit. Just when I thought Vasa couldn’t get any worse they do. There are no signs posted or anything company is a complete money hungry joke.

I enjoy going here because is close to my house.......... I give them four Stars because I noticed that Theres a lot of equipment that I miss from other VASA GYMS, but overall its nice and clean, and for $10.00 bucks a month, works great for me.
