I went here at 5 am. ( Not during the weekend). A week day. They claim to be 24/7 but this one is always closed when I come. The whole reason I got a pass here is for the 24/7, as advertised. Luckily I was able to go to the planet fitness down the street and they are open.

I have been a member at this location for a few years now. I’ve came in a variable times and always poor customer service. No one at the front desk. Today I waiting 5 mins at the front desk while there was 2 people at the desk so focused on their personal cell phones. I’m never greeted when I come in unless it’s the older gal that works in the middle of the day, she’s fantastic. But I’m incredibly disappointed with the night crew. They are too focused on their cell phones than to help a customer, one that pays a lot of money yearly to come here.

Customer service is great, I’d give them 4 stars. All around quality of the gym kind of sucks, the ac doesn’t really make a difference from outside, machines are broken, and some of the benches are so old that you can’t even do a work out using them because they’ll scoot with your body weight and are not sturdy.

Was a long-time member. Wasnt good, but we made the best out of it by going late at night/early morning. Left when masks were required. Im asthmatic. No way Im wearing a mask while working out.

I was going to share a 4 star review last week, but tonight this sign appeared. I guess the owner is really too cheap to pay high enough wages to staff it 24/7.The only reason I joined three years ago was because it was open late nights. Now I am strongly considering ending my membership, even though it is not a horrible facility. The constant schedule changes are making it not worth it. I could get some issues during the pandemic, or closing for some holidays, but not this and not anymore. I actually like exercising there because everyone is pretty easygoing. It is a disappointment.Here are some other issues:It is always way too hot--especially in summer, but also in winter too. They have the heaters blowing over the cardio areas in the winter. Air circulation is bad the further you go, so that the northeast corner is stuffy and excessively hot.The drinking fountain water is warm, including the bottle refilling stations.They have the weirdest TV issues. Sometimes all of them are off completely; sometimes random channels are off. They used to have Telemundo on, but about two or three months ago that switched to ESPN Deportes. That would be fine except they already had two sets showing ESPN Deportes, so now there are four. With most ESPN and ESPN Deportes programming the same, that makes usually 7 sets playing the same thing. Why they didnt change them to TNT during the Jazz playoff run or Fox 13 or Univision or another Spanish language channel, I dont know.The front entry overhead light bar has been off at night for at least 6 months. If it wasnt always extremely busy when In-and-Out next door, I would be concerned for my safety.The staff keep the facility fairly clean, and the other customers have really become more cognizant about cleaning off since the pandemic. But that has meant that there is usually at least one paper towel machine that is empty whenever I workout. Never the same one, but usually one.The free weights are usually well organized, and the machines are rarely broken down.

Aside from 1/50 chance the heater is on during a workout its perfect for what it is. Theyll tell you one gym is better than others but honestly its nice and not as cramped as vasa. I also recommend coming earlier or later if youre self conscious about stuff less people more space

Its a great gym. Its spacious with lots of modern exercise equipment. Its clean. The staff is friendly. Its close to home and very affordable.

Hello Planet fitnes, in this west valley headquarters we went to enroll my wife and I, the terrible attention, bad faces, few in Utah have felt as if I was going to beg, nobody knew anything, a girl with short hair on the sides I look at us ugly ugly, a terrible experience and that I was going to spend my money there, please place motivated employees, with a sense of belonging, and let them know that the client is Latino or whatever country it is, it is splendid. unpleasant experience

I like this gym and the way theyre set up. The higher level membership is quite worth the effort and price. I go fairly early in the morning and theres always plenty of room for everybody Even with covid-19 restrictions. The West valley store early in the morning has nice people working up front. Its always clean. I enjoyed the freedom to do what I want on machines or free weights. I also like the fact that there are massage chairs offered

Great little place but I wish the have a sauna and a hot spa.

I love to do circuit training regularly and when I first signed up for membership the room was always available. Over the last year it has become the room people use to sit and socialize on machines or just to randomly jump between machines(machines available on the main floor), not following the circuit and making it impossible to use properly. Asking other members to allow you to use the machine they are just sitting at and not really using gets you nothing and talking to staff gets you an apology but absolutely nothing else. They will not monitor the room, address your concerns, or take any real action. I have no other close gym but I am considering driving further to the next closest gym and changing my membership to another chain.

One of the better planet fitness Ive been so far this year...They have a wide variety of equipment and ample sectioned off rooms.

Been a member since 2014. Im a truck driver and travel Sacramento ca to all the way up to Pennsylvania and I use planet fitness in every state. They are almost in every state and at least 3 to 4 in every city. Love this place.

Applied for premium membership proceeded to go in and take a shower and go get a massage but the guy at the desk seem interested in what I was doing and was following me around for some odd reason so after shower I decided to leave

Bathroom are never clean… it’s like a sauna threw out the whole entire building.. only fans running threw the building..

Honestly, it was okay. Very clean and didnt have a funky gym smell. But not as much equipment as I was used to with my last gym. So Im going to have to make lots of modifications. Energy from staff was underwhelming. Happy they have tanning and massage beds.

If I could give this location a negative 5 I would. Visited from Florida and Joined during Christmas 2020. Canceled in the same month as this location is not recognized in Florida where we live. Planet Fitness continued to charge me. When I called him I cancel they said I had to either come in in person or mail a letter. I mailed a letter had my attorney mail another letter and they still continued to charge me. I came back out this month after 4 additional months of billing and had to cancel in person. What a joke! Run and find another gym. Will never step foot in another Planet Fitness.

They gym itself is fine. Clean and nice front desk staff. Dont waste your time trying to schedule an appointment with the trainer. She does not communicate with the club or clients who have scheduled an appt. Twice now I have shown up for an appt only to be told, you have an appointment? Oh, yeah, shes not coming in today. I understand emergencies come up, but communicate, let people know Hey I need to reschedule. I am new to working out and its important to me to start off right. Two months in (her scheduleonly aligns with mind twice a month), two appointment no shows. Im going to try and schedule an appt with another clubs training and will hopefully have better success.

My wife and I come here all the time. There has been a new guy in the mornings who just sits on his phone. No welcome or checking on the customers. I have seen him talk to one person who needed help.It was so nice coming to the gym and seeing the friendly workers say hello, walk around to fill up sanitizer bottles and check that everything is going smoothly. Please bring back the friendly people!

I love this place because of the layout of the gym however. The reason Ive stayed loyal to this specific gym is because of Shannon. Ive moved a few times across the valley and such. Even living as far as 45 minutes away but Shannon is my favorite person. Ive been a regular at this gym since it opened and it has kept my business.

I love going here to exercise is absolutely no judgment whatsoever and if anybody judges do they get kicked out this is a great place to go the staff is just awesome

I recently got a membership to planet fitness after not going to the gym for over a year due to Covid concerns. Planet fitness is always clean, the equipment is pretty new and the staff are friendly.

This location isnt very busy which I like. They keep it very clean and the staff is nice. My only complaint about all PFs is they have no Olympic bars just Smith machines.

This is actually my favorite PF location for the crowd, equipment layout, and service, but Im taking away 1 star for the recent reduction in hours and 1 star for it being too hot to work out in - especially in the abs and stretching section.

The gym is clean enough with nice enough equipment, but I wouldn’t join if you are considering moving gyms or joining for the amenities they provide. You have to talk to the front desk basically every 5 minutes for the massage chair/ hydro massages or tanning. It really takes all of the relaxation of out it having to speak to an employee every 5 minutes when you didn’t want to speak to someone in the first place. After a hard workout I especially don’t want to talk to anyone and want to be able to go and use the amenities I’m supposed to have unlimited access to without being limited. Not to mention they claim to be out 24 hours but close at 7pm on the weekends....

Came from Vasa needed a 24/7 gym. Came at 130am with 4 cars outside left hr later jus staff and myself there. Clean gym n errything up to date. I like to work out in PEACE and this was by far PEACE to the T... i still got Vasa but ill be here most the time since its 24.

1st time in both 15 years I worked out that got a lot of good machines. So far like them

The most cleanlinest gym Ive ever been to. Not a single spot of dust or dirt grime or anything. Really appreciate their effort in keeping it clean. Helps me feel safe to workout and know that Im not going to get sick from being here. Way to go!!!

This location is their newest location other than the one in Idaho. It has all updated equipment and is really amazing! Super clean atmosphere and very helpful staff. The two girls at the front desk on Saturday around 6pm were very sweet and welcoming. The black card spa is huuuuge!!! Has hydrobeds, massage chairs, new tanning beds (lay down and stand up)It is like never crowded here and there is never a wait for the bathroom or shower or any equipment for that matter. Bathrooms are large with plenty of stalls and lockers.Everything is kept super clean here just like other locations as well.This is my personal opinion and not the companys position.

Place is pretty well setup for pfit... frankly been here the most out of all them nationally, and am never disappointed with the staff.Pretty nice thing about this location... it contains diversity, and the swoeldiers dont often impact those on the early road to fitness!

This place used to be a lot of things. The only thing that I can remember though is the thrift store prior. It looks really good on the interior of the store. As the gym goes itself, it has a good amount of workout equipment as well as a good amount of space.

DO NOT USE THIS GYM! A certain male employee has followed me into the changing area and blatantly watches me change. I believe he has also recorded me as well. I have contacted legal counsel and do not wish for anyone else to be victimized by this man/gym.

Friendly staff and clean machines

I actually live closer to the Taylorsville Planet Fitness, but I like the West Valley location better. Shannon who works on the weekends knows all the regulars by name and is so nice to everyone. She works so hard to keep the place spotless and dust free. Shannon is one of the reasons I prefer the West Valley location. Give Shannon a raise!!

The restrooms are dirty, I go daily and you can tell they’re not cleaned. You can tell the floors need cleaning as well.

Super unprofessional staff, do not handle situations in a proper and investigative manner.

Its a great gym they have a very clean facility and the stuff is courteous all the time. I am going like a guess and they always treat us nicely. Most of the time there are not too much people so you could workout with not much of the problem.

Wish there was a sauna and a pool but I love the atmosphere, equipment, massage chairs, price and free massage chairs with the black card membership. I can also bring a guest free which is awesome! Ive gone every day since I got my membership and my energy level has increased but Ive still yet to reach my goals. Ill stick at it!

Crowds have been minimal compared to previous years, just the way I like it!

I had to which to a different location. My LOCKED locker was broken into; my wallet and keys taken and my car stolen from their parking lot. When I asked for the manager I was told he or she wont be there until Monday (this happened on a Friday) I mean hello one car was stolen and one broken into in your parking lot in 30 minutes, the manager should get back there ASAP. When I was talking to the cops I was told that they had reports of people just walking in without scanning, people just sleeping in the locker rooms. I did notice while I was coming here that there were times the front desk was unattended, times where I could just walk in with out scanning. So I dont know why they even bother with a membership. I actually did like it there it was clean and new but I just dont feel safe there anymore.

There are many good things about this location with one significant exception. There is a man who appears to work weekday afternoons who could not care less about customer service. 3 times he has been working when I came in and all 3 times I have had to verbally call for his attention because he was playing solitaire on the computer. He does not smile and gives off an attitude of annoyance at having to help a customer. I dont know why games are on the computers, or why they are facing away from the main counter, but when you put them together with a poor employee you get poor customer service.

It is wayyy to hot in this Planet fitness. No AC near cables. Or all of the east side of the building. Mane ne want to cancel

They just need a punching bag area and and pool but for what you pay it is pretty good deal

The staff is doing a great job of keeping everything clean and sanitary.

A new location and love that they always have cardio equipments available all throughout the day. Never had a problem waiting and its very clean and well kept.

This gym is super nice and brand new. They employees are all super nice. The only reason I didnt keep my membership and why Im not giving them 5 stars is because they are so far from my house. When Im tired after working out after getting off work I want to be home in 5 minutes not 35 to 40 minutes. If they ever open a location in the far west side of West Valley or even Magna I will definitely sign up with them again.

Its a nice gym especially for its price.

Clean, not busy, only complaint really is the red light total body booth had several bulbs out, this was the second time at this location that the same 9 bulbs are out.

Im liking this gym more because its not as crowded as the Taylorsville one and the customer service is improving compared to how it was when I first started. The staff has better attitudes! The place is always clean!Update: my sister opened an account under my checking for her and her boyfriend, i did everything i could to get my account off theirs but i was still charged. And even when i brought in statements, the manager refused to do anything!!! What BS! Considering going somewhere else. They dont care. And instead of the manager calling me, he tells his little minions that there is nothing he can do.

Great environment and staff is wonderful. Always clean. I never feel out of place here. Everyone comes gets their workout in and thats that. Best gym experience Ive had so far.

Absolutely love this location! The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. It doesnt seem too busy and is very clean. Sierra, the personal trainer was also great to work with. I am super excited to achieve all my fitness goals!

How is it that this gym still doesn’t have a scale?Update and Response:PF responded by saying that, “we believe that the number on the scale isnt a reliable factor in determining progress”Sounds like an excuse to me. Most gyms that I have been to have a basic scale. While I agree this isn’t the only metric, it is still a metric that many of us use to measure progress and goals.Glad this isn’t my main planet fitness, that’s for sure. I’ll be looking into vassa tho. Maybe they have basic amenities like a weight scale.

Easy to get in and work out at late night early morning. Downside is pay for the black card and staff is never around. So can not use any of the black card stuff.

Newest planet fitness in salt lake county. Enjoy. Newest arc trainers. Arc trainers are one of my favorite 2 elliptical machines. Sierra excellent also

Standard Planet Fitness (which is a good thing) with the addition of rowing equipment. This gym appears to be refreshed with new equipment gym wide. Especially like the TRX workout guides. Wish other Planet Fitnesss had this.

Great gym and love the atmosphere...but front desk needs some customer service training. Dude tonight must have had a bad day or something.

It’s just another planet fitness but the policy of masks needing to be worn in between machines and when you stop working out for a few minutes in order to breath is kind of absurd.

I go there almost daily. The employees are helpful but at this time (April 2019) they dont have enough people there. I really hate having the employees check me in at the desk every morning. Im a big boy and I can scan myself in (Taylorsville PF does it, why cant you?). Treadmills are nice but I wish there were more features (only up and down buttons). The free weights and machines are adequate. Locker rooms are nice however the location on the personal changing rooms are away from the lockers, kinda a pain to use, so I dont. I dont care for the Music they blast.

The janitor needs to stop turning the heat on so high !!! It’s not pleasing at all working out and the heat is blasting on my head. I’m sure this isn’t the first time because the front desk person said he’s asked the janitor to not turn it up so high yet he still does. This makes me not want to come back to this location unless someone does something about this!! Other than that I like this gym.

I had to wait twice for the front receptionist. First to buy a drink and then second for the hydra massage. Perhaps it was just bad timing but either way it kinda killed my vibe.
