Dr. Durkee and staff at West Palm Animal Clinic has been taking care of our pets for 20 years. We cannot say enough positive things about them. In good times and bad times they are the best. The care my pets received were always with live and affection. Dr. Durkee is not an alarmist nor is she money hungry. Her expertise, knowledge and compassion is over the top. In the 20 years we have been using them the original people have remained with the practice...Dr. Durkee, Christina and Karen and a few other techs.They have become part of my family even though my furry friends went over the Rainbow Bridge. I know when Im ready I can count on tem to help me find another dog.

We can’t thank the staff enough for the fantastic care and service we received for over the last 16.5 years. Sadly, we recently had to say good bye to our beloved Lexie.. Dr Durkee and staff were there for all of us, super understanding and compassionate through out the entire process. We tied up an exam room for at least 3 hours to say our good bye and never once was rushed by the staff. We will be forever greatful.

Dr. Durkee is a wonderful vet who provides excellent care and is compassionate and kind. Her staff is well trained and knowledgeable and are able to fit you into the busy schedule when an unexpected problem occurs. She was so accommodating recently when my 19 year old kitty took a turn for the worse and met us at her clinic . She was very comforting to us and I am so grateful that she has been able to care for my cat. I highly recommend her and it’s been a real privilege to have her as our vet.

I have had many animals come through Dr. Durkees door over the years. I am a professional pet sitter and have referred clients as well. Everyone in the office is extremely compassionate and knowledgeable. Dr. Durkee goes out of her way to answer questions and is honest about whatever your baby is up against. Simply put they offer the very best care. Highly recommend.

Doctor Durkee took care of our French bulldog, Chanel, for 5 1/3 years. We were regulars at her office, always doing bloodwork and regular testing and examinations, while also bringing Chanel in on multiple occasions over the years for bouts of vomiting and diarrhea. The only response to these recurrences of sickness in our beloved dog was the administration of an anti-nausea pill and a stool hardening capsule. She treated the symptoms, not the disease, time and again. She never even considered the existence of a greater culprit behind these recurring bouts of illness. We recently had to put our beautiful little peanut to sleep. She was only five years old. Right before the end, doctor Durkee gave up on our little love and told us to take her to Veterinary Specialty Hospital. They did a blood test and an ultrasound and were able to determine that Chanel had severe liver cancer; a condition that takes years to advance to the extent that our beautiful little dog had developed. A condition that should have been noticed and diagnosed by any diligent, responsible, caring veterinarian. Sadly, due to her negligence, our precious little peanut is no longer with us. She called us when she received the results from VHS, only to say there was nothing that any body did wrong, these things just happen. This didn’t just happen, it happened over time. Had we caught it early, we could have treated our baby and she would still be with us. I advise you not to take your pets here. To do so would be a terrible mistake.

Dr. Durkee is a wonderful caring veterinarian and her staff is great. All take the time to explain things about your animal.

Its been a few months now since my beloved Snickers has joined the many other angels scampering around in heaven and given the fact that I am over my grief I am able to write this simple, yet thoughtful review ... one that is not disparaging or angry.Dr. Durkee and the entire staff at West Palm Animal clinic need to do better. They collectively dropped the ball, they know it and Im embarrassed for them .. all. Do better Dr Durkee. Please.

This is truly the best veterinarian I have ever been to. I have never had difficulty making an appointment, never had to wait long once Ive arrived and always had the most courteous caring, detailed, explanatory service. This office is reasonable and does not take advantage, or up-charge for frivolous or unnecessary medical costs. I started by bringing my chihuahua, and since then have added two cats and even in an emergency Dr. Durkee was able to see our pet rat. If I could give this office more stars I would. Highly, highly recommended.

NOTE: This is an edit/update to my prior review:I have used West Palm Animal Clinic for a number of years for a total of eight cats (I now have five). I always recommend Dr. Durkee to anyone I meet who needs a new vet. I am involved in the rescue community as a volunteer, and I always happily recommend West Palm Animal Clinic by sharing how compassionate the entire staff is. I have had to have two elderly cats put to sleep through Dr. Durkees office. They couldnt be any more caring than they are. Both times, they could see how destroyed I was with my loss and they did everything they could to soften the blow. They patiently let me stay with my kitties long after they were gone and they followed up with condolence cards and provided me with foot imprints to remember them by. When I had to go out of town for two weeks due to my brothers funeral, I boarded the two cats I had at the time. They were well taken care of and were treated to a large screen monitor running videos of relaxing music and fish and birds, etc. It helped me during a difficult time to know they were well care for. I continue to use and recommend Dr. Durkee. They continued serving patients throughout the Covid-19 epidemic by adhering to CDC best practices of curbside drop off and pick up, although I believe that depending on the circumstances, one-on-one in person appointments were available. Dr. Durkee is the best vet around. Her reviews tell the story. I dont know any other vet who could get this percentage of five star reviews. You and your pets will love Dr. Durkee and her staff!

Dr. Durkee and the wonderful staff at West Palm Animal Clinic have provided the most efficient, compassionate care to my rescue companion Sadie. Sadie gets very anxious during her well kitty exams but the staff is very professional at making her feel at ease as well as keeping me informed of her progress and status. I cannot say enough about this staff. They respect the relationship we have with our fur companions and provide the best care possible. I am so thankful to have them as part of my family wellness program.

I was originally referred to Dr.Durkee through friends who sang Dr. Durkees praises and I quickly realized why! The staff is so kind and helpful and they always put your animals care first. I never felt like I was being sold into products/services. My dog, Zuzu, had many emergencies and the staff was always accommodating during these times. We are so very great full that we found a new Vet for our little Lacey. Amanda our neighbor works there as a tech so I felt very comfortable going there. The doctor’s are both wonderful and take time with you even though it is curb side only now due to Covid. Everyone is kind and caring from the person answering the phone to the tech that explain your dog’s care.Thank you all for a good experience at a hard time with a sick little Yorkie❤️

We Have going to Dr. Durkee for many years. My son lives in Tampa and he sometimes brings his dogs to Dr. Durkee. because he has so must trust for her and her staff. Last year and a half was bad. I lost my two precious shelties and my son lost his two also and my brother lost his precious Frankie ( they at Dr. Durkee called him a mircle dog) with Dr. Durkee and her staff he lived another five extra years. Dr. Durkee came in many times on her time off and vocations just to keep the dogs comfortable. She was their for three of them passing. My son as I said lived in Tampa he would keep in touch with her for their final days. You could never find a vet so caring and understanding of all of these dogs.. I never thought I would get over such a loss. She checked on us she sent cards after all of their passing. She felt as bad as we did. She is an extrodinary person.

Everyone at West Palm Animal Clinic are all so kind and caring. I can’t imagine taking my cat anywhere else. They even have a cool app so you can have all your pets info, make appointments, view reward points, etc. They were also so great when my dog passed away last year.

All my animals come to see Doc and have been for 15+ years. Nobody cares for them more, has more compassion, love and consideration than the amazing people here. Through tough times losing our old ones, to crazy times with new kittens....from our sweet ones to our little terrors...they all are cared for deeply and treated like family members (even the nutty ones).

I have gone to this caring vet for several years. The office has separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs which is great. The vet is very nice and knowledgeable and seems to love animals. I have had my dogs teeth cleaned there twice, and have gone for regular checkups. So far so good!

Always a wonderful experience. We recently brought our new pup, she was retrieved from the car. We were not allowed into the building but we knew she was in good hands. We spoke about all our concerns from inside the car, and made our payment over the phone. It all went very smoothly and we were very happy with our visit.

All the staff and Dr at the West Palm Beach Animal Clinic are above the best. They helped us transition with two of our fur childrens passing. They were extremely compassionate and caring They answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns. She was thorough, helpful, professional and kind...everything you would want in someone who takes care of your loved fur ball. Dr Durkee is amazing! She has always given my pets the best attention and treats them as if they are her own. She’s not afraid to give you facts and will tell you what is truly best for your pet to live a long heathy life. No sugar coating. During the recent hurricane Dorian scare, my little one boarded at West Palm Animal Clinic. I cant explain the peace of mind I had knowing my dog was safe, even if I didnt know if I was. He loves it there is well taken care of and loved by the staff. I cant thank them enough.

They always take care of my boy. The tech was especially helpful trimming the hair around his eyes, backside, and clipping his nails. the entire staff really cares about the animals they treat, as well as some animals who need new homes. .

The staff was caring and attentive to my dogs needs. The doctor and her technicians were able to answer any of my questions regarding some of their products and other products I have researched. It was an in and out process. The place is clean with separate waiting areas for antsy dogs and I find the seperate entrances for dog and cat quite clever. :)

My wife & I were a little hesitant to switch vet Drs. However, my little boy (dog), has consistence licking & scratching.I thought we would get a second opinion. But before I make changes, I did my research and online reviews. I am very picky about details. My concerns are office staff, professionalism & the Drs approach of care & listening. They hit all 5 cylinders. Including, the place is clean, friendly environment & high tech. No store front. Stand alone. Its been 1 week. We have been bringing our pups, Lucy & Linus, to Dr. Durkee and her team ever since we moved here from NJ 6 years ago. The are the BEST!In the midst of this horrid pandemic we needed to bring Linus in because of a rash he developed. They were able to fit us in the same day. When we arrived, we phoned to check-in and the staff came out (in the pouring rain) and brought Linus in to see the doc. 20 minutes, a shot and two Rxs later and Linus was brought back to the car. He was much less itchy by the end of the day and continues with the meds.Again, much praise for West Palm Animal Clinic and the caring and kind staff!

Wonderful! Dr. Durkee was very kind and knowledgeable. She was very patient with my dog Benji who is super dramatic when it comes to cutting his nails. Also, the vet tech was very nice with Benji. The waiting was a bit long (45 minutes to be exact). Other than that, I loved this animal clinic and I will be going to this one from now on.

I consider myself a picky consumer. The staff is always so prompt with any request we make. They are always here for us and dont mind explaining things in detail until we fully understand. Their pricing is a little out there but the quality is definitely there. Once, I booked a trip out of the country last minute and needed my dogs health certificate for travel. They were so happy to help me and sent me 2 documents just to be on the safe side directly to my email just like that ! What a great customer service and empathy for our little pouches that we love so much ! They are animal lovers ! Thank you all for all that you do and know that you are appreciated and Milo loves you ! And I like the picture they take of the pet and print it on a card with all the vaccine dates. They are also very good at reminding customers to refill trifexis. Very efficient and organized.

From beginning to end, experience was superb. The staff was very professional and they cared for my little princess they way we do. The Vets expertise was impressive and her bed side manner was great. She treated my dog better than some doctors have treated me. Bottom line, great facility, great staff, great Vet and reasonable fees!

Left with medication and ease of mind knowing that we found a place to bring our fur baby.Also inquired about boarding and was given a delightful tour by another Tech. Dr. Durkee and all the staff are simply AMAZING!! They are all so compassionate and truly caring for your babies. She’s stayed with me and laid on the floor with me when I had to put our babies down. I have been going to her for 10 years now since I moved down here and would never go anywhere else! I can give her 2-3 symptoms and she’ll tell me exactly what the diagnosis is - and she’s always right :)! I trust when she tells me something she’s helping me make the right decision even if it’s not the one I want. I can’t say enough good things about everyone there! If you’re looking for a caring and compassionate vet this is the place!! And the costs are very reasonable!

This vet is awesome. I have an elderly dog who had a mass removed that quickly grew back and became an issue (within 6 months from the previous surgery at another vet). I read reviews and decided to try this place since it is very close to where I live. I was able to get an appointment within a day of my request, the staff was friendly and helpful and they were able to remove the mass on my dog that very same day. The process they use is unlike normal anesthesia and when I came back to pick up my pet she was very awake and responsive and did not appear to be in any pain. We are a few days post op and she is doing great. They checked on her the next day and loaded all her appointment info/lab results to a pet portal online that I can access. The surgery was also extremely affordable given the scenario. I will definitely be coming here for my dogs in the future! An update to this existing review, my baby ended up needing to be helped across the rainbow bridge this past Thursday, about a year or so after this original review was written. This was the hardest thing I have ever been through in my life and Dr. Durkee and her staff were beyond compassionate and accommodating. I was very worried I was going to have issues being with her for the procedure due to covid, but I was able to be with my girl the entire time. Not only were they so nice and caring but they sent me home with a little clay paw print of my girl and sent a sympathy card within days of her passing that has a little something inside to plant in honor of your pet. They could not have handled the situation any better and made me feel as comforted as I possibly could on the worst day.

I called for Skye needing her nails cut. I was given a prompt appt. I arrived a little early, and was taken right away. They are so good, gentle, and know their jobs!

They are the best!!!! Took for his annual shots to renew Maxs license and they gave me his new license right there. They are also great at record keeping of your animals health and are also kind and understanding.

All the staff are amazing and pleasant. They were great with my cat. Dr. Durke is wonderful and cares very much about the animals she sees. I definately found the right vet for my cats.

As always the staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Kelsey was terrific helping me get the 3 carriers to the exam room. These 3 of my 5 cats are large and heavy (aka FAT) but are very healthy which I attribute to Dr. Durkee. She tells it like is such as these guys need to lose weight, but it is done nicely.
