Master Ps Tae Kwon Do is a great school. First, the sense of family - we are all there to support each other and help each other grow. This school, the instructors and other families are so very supportive and really are like a family. The instructors are wonderful, they are caring, understanding and patient. They really go above and beyond with extra activities through the year - Halloween parties, summer camps, holiday workshops, and festivals. I like their curriculum, they teach not only Tae Kwon Do, but they also teach Korean terms, my 5 year old could count better in Korean than he could at English when he started. I think its important to have a well rounded education when studying martial arts, and they do a great job of that.

When the pandemic shut down much of the surrounding area my family and I were worried that our hard work and dedication towards Tae Kwon Do would be put on indefinite hiatus. However, we were astonished by how quickly Master P. established and launched a virtual curriculum by utilizing Zoom. Not only was the new virtual platform an efficient replacement for live-classes, the quality, and variety of curriculum and work-out classes greatly exceeded my expectations. Weve even had the additional luxury of scheduling individual private lessons to focus on key techniques and movements. I can say with 100% confidence that my family and I have been able to continue to progress through multiple belt promotions thanks to the superb efforts put forth into re-creating as closely as possible all of the elements present in live classes. The consistent feedback, communication, and quality demonstrations have been second to none and I highly recommend the online services to anyone interested.

Ashley our granddaughter (age 10) wasnt into dolls, and sitting around the home isnt a good option for her. So we sat on the bleachers watched a few sessions with the instructors and they educate culture, language, listening, and provide exercise. I only took a moment and reminded her about dedication and commitment, she cannot start and quit. Master Vicky McDowell is awesome, she runs a great group and they clean after each session. Some of the older students help out. There are several options for workouts. Ashley is excited and engaged.

Wonderful activity for people of all ages. My 7 year old son has said: if I need to give up an activity, please let me continue with doing Tae Kwon Do. He loves it that much. The benefits are endless; improving his self-confidence, flexibility, muscle tone and focus to name a few. He has met new friends and enjoys the positive vibes and energy when he is in class. Master P, Master McDowell, and the rest of the TKD team are amazing and talented. Keep up the wonderful work!

My son and I have been studying Tae Kwon Do with Master P for twelve years. The staff at MPTKD genuinely care about their students and the community. They do an excellent job of fostering a positive, fun environment where children and adults can learn and exercise, even doing so together. The time that my son and I have spent together at MPTKD has been some of the best and most memorable father-son time that we have had. I can not imagine another activity that we could have shared for 12 years and thousands of hours that would have been better for us physically, mentally and from our relationship perspective.

We love Master Ps! The facility is excellent and the instructors are great with the kids. My son is 4.5 and in the Little Tigers program. Hes been enrolled 2x a week for a few months and is super into tae kwon do! We have attended all of their special events and were able to invite friends. Two of my sons friends had such a blast that they signed up for lessons as well. We highly recommend Master Ps!

Our son has thrived at Master P’s World Class TKD.The kind and encouraging staff has motivated him to continue to learn and hone his skills and forms even after obtaining his black belt. The curriculum is straightforward and well communicated. Kids and parents know what to expect along the journey. Our son reached Black Belt level at age 10 and hes hoping to become a junior instructor in a few years. We are so proud of him and thankful to MPTKD.

We have enjoyed 5 years already training at Master P, started as one activity to do together as a family of 2. after 5 years we still like to train in Person, as much as we can, even though is challenging at this times, it has been amazing to be able to train in person and see the staff that we have missed and they have done an amazing job all year long and always, we also have enjoyed as well our Virtual classes but we love more in Person due to space and better Dojang than the one at home and we get to see friends, masters, instructors. We are now training to our 2nd Level Dan in the future! Great place to have the entire family!

I really cant say enough positive things about this school. The staff is extremely friendly and enthusiastic. The school is very well run and feels more like a family than a business. They truly care about my kids and it shows as my kids eagerly look forward to going to class 2x week. Truly a World Class School run by a wonderful leader in Master P and his tremendous staff.

Took my son to observe his friends class yesterday. He both gto to participate and then observed the board breaking session following. And while its a great environment, and the owner is charismatic and enthusiastic, he talks soooooo much. The kids are there to learn respect and all, but it seems unfair to expect a five year old to listen to monologue after monologue... Im holding off until hes older.

Master P is a very well organized, and professionally managed Tae Kwon Do Dojang. We are so fortunate to live nearby for our son to be trained here. TKD is a wonderful sport to help children build self esteem and discipline as well as physical training. Highly recommend!!

This place was horrible. You get stuck in a 3 year contract and the instructors are just salesmen. Go somewhere else if you want quality martial arts.

I’m fortunate enough to come from two different places, as someone who has been a student for over 10 years, and as an assistant instructor for the past 3.I understand many of the concerns for the idea of people being salesmen, but schools are like that too, as are other studios, and honestly, I have felt like this dojang is a second family to me, and I do my best, alongside my coworkers, to make everyone feel welcome in our dojang, not just to feel like a number, but to feel like the next generation of the ever-growing tae kwon do family. The instruction itself can be confusing at times, since we all make mistakes, but we are all humans, and a lot of us teenaged instructors are overloaded with our own lives outside of tae kwon do, and we make sure to correct all we can correct to make our instruction clearer and more efficient. Alongside this, Master P and his senior leadership team have instituted meetings every Friday that does not have a belt test or other event to truly practice these teaching nuances to make us better instructors. From a work standpoint, I love it. All of my superiors are understanding in terms of health and even mental health, something which not many other places of employment take into consideration, the schedule is flexible so you have instructors who are willing to teach every class they sign up for, which brings up the morale of the dojang, which we try to impart on the students, and other practices that we attempt to not only make our work the best, but also to maximize our positive impact on the student body.As a student of over 10 years, i have seen the dojang change more than nearly anyone in the school. I have seen a building change, instructor system change, anything and everything you can think of. I think that a majority of the changes made have only improved the school. The minuscule minority that have not improved the school have only been largely neutral in impact, rather than just negative. Furthermore, I can understand the “sales pitch” perspective of the reviews too, and yes, while there are indeed sub-fees, that’s also to get you new materials, certificates, and other such expenses. In sum, with my past 10 years of experience within this school, I have never seen any action, whether it be within the lens of student or instructor, that has ever been intentionally harmful or negligent to any member of the student body. The staff at this school (which I hope people agree can include me in this next statement) is tight-knit and dedicated to making the martial arts education of the school as positive and effective as it can possibly be.-K. My daughter & I have been doing TKD for over a year at Master Ps & we absolutely love it! All of the instructors are amazing and the studio is always so clean. Weve not only accomplished things I never thought we would do, but we are having fun doing it alongside with other great familys whom we have become friends with. Also, it is the most intense, fun workout without going to a boring gym. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in pursuing TKD. : )

This school started with a lot of promise. I joined it in 2010 and was a regular student. I met nice people who were students like me and that made me keep coming. Also Taekwondo in itself is a wonderful martial art. If you are serious about it, Please go to a school that focuses on it. A smaller more authentic school. This is a wishy washy establishment that in the long run wont provide you quality and will be very expensive,The school is run by people who have not much interest in teaching, but making money. The lead instructor never shows up to teach anymore. They delegate most of the instruction to part time students who work there, who are confused and mis- instruct you. Then they push you to progress to the next level even if you are not ready. They are not interested in providing quality instruction to kids and adults. When you first join, they show lot of enthusiasm and interest. Give it 3 months and you notice the same people who signed you in have no time for you. Why should they? You have probably been sweet talked into signing a 3 year contract thinking its like a gym membership and now they are busy sweet talking others.BEWARE OF THE CONTRACT. It is insanely serious for a martial art school. YOU ARE LOCKED INTO THIS. THIS WILL SHOW UP IN YOUR CREDIT HISTORY AS A LINE OF CREDIT- it is not like a gym membership. What made me very upset is that my love for taekwondo and friends I made there kept me going for over 3 years. I was willing to overlook the lack of quality and saw good intentions in my instructors, but recently I got a travelling job. I travel Monday to Thursday. I sent them proof of my new job and wanted to be out of the contract. It was reasonable since I cant make it to class ever. They have a clause that if you move 25 miles away you can get out. I am a consultant that travels Monday to Friday to Canada these days. That want good enough for them. They didnt care that Id been a loyal fee paying student for 3.5 years and give me a pass. They refused to let me out of the contract and now are threatening me with all kinds of nasty mails and punitive action. Me - a loyal student who was with them for over 3 years. This is the attitude of the same people. No accountability for poor quality and behaving like loan sharks. For 135 dollars a month I expect a hell of a lot more. They will just push you into taking the next exam for the next belt . I have seen such a decline in the quality of martial art coming from the school. People forgetting their forms in the middle of a black belt test, people who are obviously not ready are pushed ahead - just so that they can churn out more tests and charge fees.Last 2 years of the 3 - I saw a decline in quality that was unwarranted. They filled up the school with more kids they could handle. There are plenty of hidden fees. For tests and forms and events etc that they are not upfront about. Its a shame to see a place that starts with promise turn into a money making machine. Everyone I started with left for the same reasons I did. I would have desisted from this review had they dealt with me fairly, but the latest harassment over disputing charges for a school I can legitimately and was upfront and honest about it, had a conversation with my instructor about was the last straw.I feel this school is partially a scam. Others should know what they are signing up for. If you are an adult interested in Martial art there are several other places that will be beneficial where its more serious and no non sense. If you are a parent of a kid who is interested - this school cannot give quality instruction long term and you will be pressured into all kinds of events and exams that have high costs. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
