I’ve been coming to Van Ryn’s barbershop for many years, and have been bringing my some since he was born. I love the feel, and am happy that there are still good, traditional style barbershops around.I love Dave and his whole team. Very personable and professional staff — all excellent at what they do.

I’ve been going to Van Ryn’s for years and have always been happy with my experience. I typically see Dave, but have done walk-ins with just about everyone there, and everybody is super friendly and does a great job.Van Ryn’s is a great operation with an old school feel at a reasonable price… I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I have been going to Van Ryns for years. The staff is friendly. While I have probably gotten my hair cut by most of the staff there, and they have all been very good, I mostly make appointments with Erin. You cant go wrong with anyone working there but Erin is excellent. My son and I have always had a good experience. I started going here back in 08 or 09 when I moved into the area. Parking can be tough right outside the building because it is in the heart of West Chester, but there is plenty of parking around and nearby. Rates are pretty standard. They did expand the building to add more chairs and staff which is good. Saturdays are particularly busy so definitely make your appointment a few days in advance for this particular day. Cant say enough good things about this place.

Terrible hair cut all around!!! Could have given myself a better one with my eyes closed. Never going back there again!!! Faded WAY TO HIGH!!! Gave me a bald spot! The guy CLEARLY did not know what he was doing! Might be the worst haircut I have ever gotten!!! There was no point in in even asking to get it fixed! The guy would have only messed it up further!

Awesome barber shop in the Borough of West Chester. I found the place while frantically walking around town trying to get a haircut hours before a wedding where I was going to be a groomsman. No other barber shop in town could fit me into their schedule. The amazing women at Van Ryns got me in and out the door within 30 minutes while the place was absolutely packed with customers. I cannot express with words how grateful I am for what they did, and I didnt even mention how good the haircut was. I was told I had the best haircut of all the groomsmen as rated by all of the bridesmaids. I wont go to another barber shop as long as this place is in business.

Rushed to get me out and really messed up my hair .I had asked for them to blend the side into the top and they defenitly didn’t. The experience was bad and it only started happening recently. I have gone there for years and it was fine at first but progressively got way worse

Great place for a great haircut.Update: I have been going here for a bi-weekly haircut for almost 3 years now. From the first day I walked they have always greeted me and every other person I have seen walk in. Gina has always been able to get me in for a cut even with short notice. I would recommend anyone that needs a hair cut to check this place out first you will not be disappointed.

So sweet and she truly went out of her way to make sure he knew how to style his new look. She is fast AND gave him a fab cut! I can’t stop looking at him! He loves it!

I have been going there for every haircut over the past five years. I never started having problems until the past year. Some employees are nice while others can’t wait to get you out of the seat and out the door. I’ve had that similar experience a few times. It is always better to call ahead otherwise you will be waiting for a while for a haircut that’s done as quickly as possible.

Its average. They were understanding about moving my appointment up which was nice. Didnt really feel like they cared and my barber couldnt have gotten me out of the chair faster. I dont even know what her name was it happened so fast. When I got there, I hung my coat on their coat hanger, only to find out about 5 minutes afterwards that it was broken. Some kid came in, knocked it down and it just sat on the floor. The kid knocking it down wasnt their fault, but not telling me when I visibly hung it up after I walked in was frustrating. They do a decent overall job if youre looking for a quick, regular haircut, but when she trimmed my neckline she kinda let a lot of hair end up down my shirt. Also - to call yourself a barbershop and not offer any kind of shave, either face or neck, is a bit misleading. Its more of a salon. Its cheap, the work is decent, but it could be better.

I called for an appointment on phone and received confirmation on phone for haircut. Upon arrival so was asked to be seated. Waited for almost 30 minutes for my turn. Then the lady came and informed me that she cannot take me for haircut since she can only accommodate 2 in the interest of time and invited two other persons who checked in online.Upon questioning she said that they dont guarantee phone appointments except online check-ins. This was news to me. I wasted 1 hour of my time today for the entire episode visiting this branch. Please do not trust phone appointment confirmation with this franchise. The employees were arrogant while responding to customer concern. Stay away from it...

Always very fast and friendly. They give the most consistent good hair cuts. They also have a discount for all students, even college students.

They obviously do not take walk ins as I walked in for a hair cut and they asked if I had an appointment and I said no and they just turned me away saying they only take appointments while no one else was in the shop except the lone worker for them.
