I was at the shelter for 6 months! I chose to utilize everything they had to offer! Because of this place I am now sober for almost a year and living in apartment with a very good job! The food keeps you fed the walls and roof keep you warm in the winter and they do whatever they can to help you! This place gave me the time I needed to focus on my recovery and Im very grateful and thankful that they are there! Unfortunately there is a lot of people that dont utilize this shelter for what it is therefore!

I work there so Im bias. Friendly staff. Need a blanket, clothes, socks, jacket, hat, or mittens, come by and ask even if we dont have space for you to stay. Serves food 5pm Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. Religious service on Sunday all welcome. Always looking for items for daily living, charging cords, plugs, under ware, and white under shirts. Any xl, xxl, xxxl clothing.

When in need I partaken in a blessed meal with others in need. The people were friendly and nice, not just there for a free meal but for fellowship. Difficult for people to be hungry and to be alone. By the grace love of the Lord He provided me with people who cared for my needs. Blessings.

Stayed at shelter in November 2019. treated well until the holidays were over, they want bell ringers that is all!!!after December they stopped feeding us breakfast! Had to be out by 9AM until 3 something. even the disabled I would drive them to the library so they could stay warm. no lunch only on weekends. 1 washer and dryer working for forty people!! Its a scam Todd and Dana dont care about anyone. Not Christians at all evil!! What would jesus do?

The food is that of the homeless. They could do more. The services are lacking to help get back on track in life. I am not ungrateful, but they could do more. It is almost pointless to have this 30 day shelter only to not get anywhere in your progression only to be back on the streets where you started.

Great service to the community. I was dropping off donations. They need blankets, warm clothes, hats, gloves, socks. Hygiene items, disposable shavers, lotion, bar soap, deodorant, canned goods (meal in a car, Chef Boyardee), beans. Give them a call for other items needed. Giving warms you heart and God is by your side, smiling.

Very helpful, clean site, offer meals for the needy, also on certain days, they offer excellent pantry food which is offered by area restaurants which is frozen in the pantry freezers. With all they have & have been given to the needy people brings tears to a persons eyes. Thanks to everyone whom have helped the people of the Waukesha Community. 😎

They even make the poor and homeless pay for phone calls here. They demand ID for meals and some of the staff refuse to serve the homeless period. Heres a hint: If you have a problem with the poor dont get a job serving the poor.

Where do I start. This place is lovely. A Godsend

When I first came to Waukesha the Salvation Army helped me so much! Now Im helping them where I can. I brought them toiletries and other personals for a persons night stay.

The Salvation Army its a great way to start your life if you have a bad past they are there to help you and give you the best positive hell look at life. You cant go wrong at the Salvation Army

Horrible place with lots of drunks narcotic abusers who go there for free food. & lodging...a cocaine addict male groupping women when they are under the influence ..Major Nancy front desk witness the incident when the disabled American female screamed at the elevator door...when reported ....Major Nancy & Judy Bean refused to write up the incident report or contact police...An illegal Hispanic patron threw a walker at a disabled a disabled American female ...Judy Bean the person managing the dining facility refused to write up incident report and refused to cooperate with policeMany violations in the kitchen....food served cold....raw chicken and raw pork served to patrons because the cook Judy Bean is more concerned about preparing her sermon than paying attention to food safety to the community....its all about the numbers in attendance that they can claim from united way & federally funded food bank & money donated from solicitation in red kettle....nothing substantial goes the the community....staff has been spotted loading up their vehicle at night when no bodys watching to hold them accountable...a very sanctimonious program....shuffling their bible down your throat & not reporting violation of incidents....violating desperation of church & state....& patrons shouldnt be forced to pray or listen to sermon in order to eat the free meal....something is very wrong here....

I stayed at the lodge about 4 years ago and did some volunteer work afterwards They were there when I needed them and I tried to give them something back

They always hord the white bread. You tell them that someone in your​ family had an allergie to nuts and they cant eat it because they end up in the emergency room. They really dont seem to care about people with allergies but more worried hording white bread. Kids should be forced to eat what is there, thats what i was tought years ago.

Cheri & Rodney from the childrens program are so dedicated and wonderful with the children! They care so much and it shines through in all they do!
