Ive been here twice for emissions tests. Everyone was friendly and very quick service. I will definitely be back for any other car repairs I may need.

Excellent service went there for emissions only. people were super nice, I would probably go back there for car repairs if needed. They only get paid $2 for emission testing from the state thats sad.

The receptionist was cordial and quick to ascertain my voluminous needs. And they displayed a Keurig coffee machine, which is vital for a Norwegian visitor. Ill be back.

I went through them to get all my brake lines replaced. When I got my van back the brakes still didnt work correctly. When I called them I was told I mustve had someone mess with them and I had to pay more for them to look at them again. Well being a single mom of 2 disabled boys I didnt have the money. So my van sat for a few weeks. I was able to get it into another shop and they told me whoever did my brakes put the wrong connectors on. I called Hopson back and was told to F off and hung up on. I did report them to the BBB but I couldnt afford to take them to court. They were so mean and unprofessional, I hope they dont do this to someone else who is struggling. I live in Florida now but this happen before I left Waukesha. It was one of the mechanics I spoke to that told me to f off.

The people here are what really make this place special and stand out from the rest! They will treat you like family and won’t rip you off. They are very quick all while being thorough and producing great quality work. They won’t scare you into getting work done that you don’t need done right away, they will tell you if it’s something you need to address immediately or if you can wait a little bit.

They were kind and fast for DOT inspection. So many other places were closed, closed down, or had bad hours for normal working hours. Really appreciated the service they provided.

They do emission testing here M-F until 5 PM. Very fast and efficient, I was in and out in 10 minutes!!!!

Best prices, and very honest. They called me to let me know if would be less $ than my original quote, it is very rare to find service like that. Work is great too, highly recommend using them!

I tried this company based on their great reviews and I like to do business in my neighborhood. I detest going for the emissions testing because I feel like I’m bothering the techs. However, the reviews are accurate. The emissions test was fast and pleasant.

Happy I took the recommendation because they were very efficient in diagnosing the issue with my check engine light and fixing it pretty quickly. I had never been to Hopson Automotive before this week and I should have used them long ago. I had a leaking brake issue in the rear of my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder and they fixed it in one day at a very reasonable rate and my brakes feel brand new! I had taken the vehicle to a local NIssan dealer a few days earlier and they wanted 5 times the amount to do the repair and they told me it would take several days to get parts, etc. I will not being going back for dealer service ever again and I would recommend everyone in Waukesha County go to Hopson Automotive for all of their maintenance and repair needs. You will not be disappointed! Thank you so much!

Went there to get a emission test after my emission test as I was coming out of the shop. Looked at that right side of my truck and my front head light was cracked also the front was dent in. I know the night before it was not like that.

I called to make an appointment to have my brakes looked at no mention of a fee to have the brakes looked. They looked at the brakes and quoated me about $700 for brake pads and rotors, I said I was surprised the rotors needed to be changed she said they were rusty. I said I would come to pick up my car that I’d just change them myself and I would be there is a little bit. When I got there the staff was in the back working on the computer and they would be with me in a minute before they came to the front the gentleman who was working on my car came into the front and asked me what was going on, I said I was here to pick up my car and take it home he said nobody told him that’d he put my car back together and bring it out front. It didn’t take too long. The lady then said there would be a charge just for looking at my car, I should’ve argued it but didn’t have the energy just disappointed.

We took our car here for inspection. We were over change for the inspection. Estimate was hundreds of dollars higher then the going rate on stuff that we didnt need to be done in the end. If you want to be over charge its a good place to go for work you dont need hang on to your wallet. Would not recommend!!!!

Hopson Automotive is a great place to go for WI DOT emission testing. Their shop is easy to access from Hwy 164 in Waukesha. Front desk staff very friendly and efficient. No appt needed for emission testing. Nice bonus: The lobby/waiting area is stocked with candy, soda machine and Keurig machine. Much nicer waiting area than big name stealerships Ive been to. Overall, five stars for Hopson Automotive!

Stay away. They wont bother to tell you they have an estimate charge, just charge you when you decide not to have them do the work. Go elsewhere, most likely their charges are higher than the auto repair shops that give free estimates. I certainly wont go back.
