I’m not sure what changed but they used to provide quality service for a fair price. Recently I had a few repairs done on two different vehicles and I felt I really got screwed. I will no longer utilize their service and will be looking for an honest mechanic.

They were fantastic fast efficient and very reasonably priced highly recommend it if you have the need.

Elders towing service came fairly quickly when called to remove my truck from the middle of the road. They were able to make the necessary repairs and get my truck back on the road within a couple of days.

Well my opinion hmmm..I was treated unfair I had a emergency to go with my son to the er.on a Friday go figure they tow my vehicle from woodmans Waukesha to there facility at the wonderful call from the locals.so they want u to send them a message request to set a time to pay ur tow and get ur vehicle. I sent 3 messages than they send a message back saying they have to review ur message an will call u back.no one called back....so I call Monday an say I want my vehicle so they charge me 315.00 for under 5 miles.for 3 days I had to wait an get charged xtra.mind u I didnt call them nor did I commit any violation. So 315.00 for my son getting rushed to the er for 2and degree burn....ummm ya and I had my own insurance an could of got a tow from my insurance company. But was told no it could not sit in the empty grocery store parking lot till I got to the hospital with my son. So no

Legit love this place. Fair prices and they are willing to work with you regardless of ur situation. They have amazing customer service as well as drivers. The owners are such understanding people. If u need an oil change to a tow its a great experience. I believe in every person they have on their staff to help meet the needs you have as a customer. I miss working with Elders.

I had a nightmare scenario where my car wouldnt start and I needed to get it from my parking garage to a local repair center. James, the driver, directed everything wonderfully and really put my anxious thoughts at ease. He expertly maneuvered the truck through some tight spaces as well. I would recommend Elders service to anyone in need of safe and experienced towing.

Short wait time for tow truck. They came out and put my spare tire on for me. Saved me money doing that since I didnt need to be towed. Great customer service and professionalism.

I have to agree with the negative comments made about how Elders handles police initiated tows. My son was involved in an incident that disabled the car, which also received the courtesy of a police tow over the Labor Day weekend. We tried to get access to the car on Monday to get some work items. So sorry, were closed. When I contacted Elders early Tuesday to pay the tow charges and request that they do the front end and wheel/tire repairs, I was told that I had to bring them proof (in person) that I owned the car and pay the charges in cash ($336 - including an absurd $80 for two days of storage). I felt like I was paying a ransom. Only then, would they consider handling repairs. They only reluctantly agreed to even send someone out to the lot to look at the damage. Heres the best part - the fact that I had been a customer in the past made no difference in their attitude or approach. This kind of inflexible, black and white, my way or the highway approach doesnt work for me. I paid another tow company to pick up the car and take it elsewhere for repair. My other advice is to try and avoid police tows by using a towing firm of your own choosing.

This service is horrible I called to get my friend car out of impound and he told me that I have to wait until Monday and today is Saturday. The only reason why they have it is because my friend was driving in it and the police took him to jail and they didnt release him until after 6:00pm the next-day. Now today is Saturday the 20th and we called trying to get the vehicle and we spoke with the owner and he said that they were closed, and I said your Website says your youre open 24 hours a day he says Im at home Mama and theres no way I can look up any of the information that youre talkin about, then I said where are the workers he said everyone is at home and I said but it says 24 hours a day then he said how I charge you $1,000 and I said that is absolutely outrageous and I then told him I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau and contact 6 news because how many other people that hes done the same thing too. Then your charging them 4 the weekend as well thats illegal. I would not suggest anyone to utilize this business for anything.

Excellent company. Used over 4 times. Was towed by them twice as well. I think alot of negative reviews come from upset people because they tow for the City of Waukesha, so they are upset to begin with. But if you are there for actual service, you will not be let down. Great work and great prices.

Professional and speedy service! We needed a tow after blowing a tire on the interstate and we couldnt believe how fast the tow arrived on scene. Derek did a super quick load of our vehicle and brought us safely to our destination. Great conversation along the way too! Worst customer service I’ve ever had. My dad’s truck was towed by them in September after he was murdered. They hooked up in the wrong place and caused damage. The police had custody of my dad’s truck for 2 months and when we got it back we discovered the damage. Talked to the owner about it and he told us we were being petty and it’s been 2 months so he wasn’t going to do anything. We explained the situation and how we haven’t had access to the truck until a week ago and it has been in the shop being repaired and he refused to do anything or even give us any sort of apology or sympathy. My dad gave this company a lot of business over the years too and this is the thanks he gets. Highly recommend you chose a company that respects and appreciates its customers.Seeing as in how I cant seem to respond to there comment Im editing my original review. My accusations are not baseless you crushed the oil filter which caused over 200$ worth of extra work that needed to be done. Am I also baseless in you the owner telling me that I am being petty about everything and you being very rude to me on the phone then hanging up on me like a disgruntled child that didnt like was being said to them. We were not rude to you yet you told me I was petty and since the police kept the vehicle for the investigation for over a month that it was not your problem. I love that you are blaming the police that give you a ton of business. I wonder how they feel about you doing damage and taking advantage of people then blaming them for the problems.

I love how this company takes advantage of people in a time of need. EVERY single lady in the office is extremely rude and unprofessional. They act like they have a problem with everything but they’re getting paid to do a job. Y’all should open your eyes and realize there’s a problem when you have multiple complaints. I got into an accident and y’all towed my car without saying anything to me while I was on the phone with insurance. I got out of the police car and y’all already took my car. You took my house keys and I couldnt get into my house. I came the next day and y’all refused to at least give me my house key so I could go home. I said I needed a day to come up with the money and you still refused to give me MY HOUSE KEY, NOT YOURS. How could you let someone suffer and not care at all? You don’t care about your customers who are the ones who pay YOUR BILLS. I think it’s sad you can charge whatever you want because you have someones property, when people get into a accident they don’t have money to waste at your terrible business. My car broke down unexpectedly. I called them to come get my car for me. Waited about 45 minutes for them to deliver my car to the location I wanted. The drivers name was Jason. I have never needed a tow truck before so this was my first experience. He was so nice and friendly. He let my son help him unload my car by pushing the buttons on the machine.I am glad I went with them. The receptionist I talked to was also very personable and nice!

I have been using Elders Service for over 20 years. The work performed included major repairs such as an engine replacement (Pontiac van) and transmission rebuild (Toyota Rav 4). Minor work such as wheel bearings and brakes. I have always been pleased with the work that they have performed. More importantly I know that Brian and his crew operate their shop with honesty and a high level of integrity. They will never sell me something I do not need. When I drop my car off at Elders its like leaving it in the hands of a trusted friend (no, I am not related). I have a level of comfort that is hard to find these days.

I always feared getting my car towed, Elders was beyond helpful with this being my first getting my car towed.They were professional even though I called them a million times in one day because I had no idea what I needed in order to get my car back.I see all the bad things people say about them, but it might just be the person who was upset they gotten their car towed.I was happy to have my car back in a timely matter I would say it took no longer than 30 minutes.Thank you for at least keeping safe for me for one night.

Had to have a vehicle towed because of a mechanical breakdown. The price was excellent, the driver was on time and friendly. Everything was done right. Not too much you could ask for from a towing company.

These guys are fantastic not only on the tow side but the service side as well. Two years ago I was changing my brakes on my car and ended snapping one of bolts that holds the caliper on. My car is lowered and these guys took the proper time to ensure my car got on the truck bed safely without damaging my car. They undid what I broke and fixed my brakes at a reasonable price and fast turnaround. Yesterday Elders bent over backwards to ensure I had a tow when I needed it. I have been using/referring Elders to everyone that needs their car serviced or towed for years and have had nothing but positive experiences!

I would highly recommend these folks to anyone. When my truck broke down, they showed up in 15 minutes, and had me back on the road in two hours with a new starter, all this on a Friday afternoon when I thought I would be stranded all weekend. Great job fair pricing, kudos!Kim

My two year old locked me out of the car in January with 5 degree temperatures and my 9 month old in the car with him. I called the cops and they called Elders. After he got the car open I asked him how much and he said he doesnt charge when children are involved. You dont know what a relief that was! Thanks so much to that tow truck driver. You saved us!

I have used Elders for over 10 years now. I have never used their towing service so cant comment on that. But they have serviced my cars and they always go out of their way to get repairs done quickly and fairly priced. I have never had a bad experience with them. I have seen how some people come in and are very rude to the staff. The City calls Elders to have a car towed so get mad at the city and not Elders.

My car was involved in an accident at 7pm on May 26th. Within minutes an Elders tow truck arrived and hauled my car away. The police called them and did not give me an opportunity to contact my insurance company which would have towed my car for free.I called Elders on Sunday morning asking if I could get my car, they said no because I dont have the keys to the lot. I asked about all of the cars that may have been towed to their lot on Saturday night, the clerk just said we dont open the lot on Sundays. The next day was Memorial Day and they were closed again.I just went to Elders to get my car, and they charged me for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, even though Monday was a holiday. After a heated discussion they took off the charge for Monday. The total amount that they charged me was $348.24 which is $100 for storage and 248.24 for the tow. The tow was 2 miles! I estimated 3 miles but the clerk smiled and said, no, it was only 2 miles. The breakdown was $150 for the tow and $98 for gas and wear and tear.I told the owner that the price was entirely unreasonable and a disgrace. He said, it was a police tow and thats what you need to pay to get your car back.Additionally, this place has very inconvenient hours for those of us who work, closing at 5:00pm each weekday. They also only take cash! What business these days only accepts cash? Elders Towing is a disgrace and an embarrassment to all honest businesses. You would be wise to not do business with them.

We charged only for the tow and all the cleanup with only 1 day of storage. I am very sorry that you feel our operation is a joke. We have been in business a long time and feel our charges are fair. Your costs will cover not only our truck and our wages to our employee,but also the prep work involved in taking a vehicle to scrap. Feel free to call me and wed be happy to explain this in detail. The tow driver at night is fat and lazy veRy rude, i do not recommend elders WAY TO OVER PRICED the tow driver he was very rude and over charge way to much and kept asking for cash only, and i watched him put half of what what i gave him in his pocket. also good luck on taking your car to be repaired at elders they are known for stealing parts from your car. City of Waukesha Police preferred tow service for all accidents. My car arrived at 5pm Friday after accident w/injuries, they charged full pricefor Friday even though they close at 5:30pm Cost: $45.00/day storage for Friday-Monday. Total bill $413.00 (cash only) $180.00 for storage (not open on weekends) plus insanely expensive tow. Terrible customer service to boot. No prorated 1/2 day pricing. If in an accident in Waukesha call your own tow service (if able) and Avoid Elders like the plague.

I was hit by a drunk driver, so my car was taken here....and they literally charged me for siphoning out the full tank of gas I had!!! Absolutely no decency

Ive been in that office and have dealt with the staff there. I see no problem with anyone. I have seen customers come in there with really bad attitudes and use foul language. Its almost funny watching these impound customers act like little babies having a temper tantrum. Why dont these people just own up to their mistakes? Driving and owning a car comes with great responsibility and money. If you do not have money to pay for your driving errors...then maybe you shouldnt be driving. Maybe other law abiding citizens insurance rates would go down if idiots would stop driving unlawfully. Seems like people go out of their way to complain and give businesses bad names....and all because the customer didnt get their way...it is a two way street...maybe businesses should start a bad customer list of their own and publish it online.....

I must say I had a great experience with elders. I needed my vehicle towed which was up a curvy steep quarter mile long driveway and the driver they sent name was Randy. I told him I could push the car down the driveway and he said its ok Ill get it for you I didnt think he would be able to back up the driveway since I have a hard time getting my Ford Explorer up there. I got I the truck with him and he proceeded to back up the driveway. I have never seen so much skill in driving he backed up it like he did it everyday around the 90 degree turns and all and he was in a long flatbed. Truly amazed me and I dont get amazed to often lol. He never once went off the driveway and did not hit anything. Im still shocked to this day how he was able to do that. And once he got to my car he took extra care of it since it would not go into nuteral. He used special equipment to get it on the truck and I was very impressed. Once he got it loaded I went back to work and he took it to the auto shop it was going to. And once he dropped it off he gave me a courtesy call that it was dropped off safely. I have never recieved such great service anywhere like I did with elders. You can bet your bottom dollar That me or my friends and family will call elders whenever a tow is needed!!!!! Absolutely Fabulous! The place to go.Ive had a long experience with this company--over 11 years. They have done the service for my previous and my current trucks. They have always been really reasonably priced and have always stood behind their work. Recently, I had to take my truck back in for a second issue--they cut the bill because of the inconvenience even though it was something different. They actually said that they would take a part off their own personal truck if they couldnt find what I needed! The owner has spoken with me on weekends to help get my problems fixed--when they werent open. They were also called to tow my husbands car after a kid ran a red light and took the front end off our sedan. The accident was in Waukesha, and they do have a contract with the city to tow. They towed the car to Manders because it was a Jaguar and Elders doesnt do the body work on Jaguars. (So the idea that they only tow to their yard is patently false.) My husband and I were both really upset with that accident and the tow truck driver was fabulously kind. Another time I got stuck with a flat late one night in the hospital parking lot. I was exhausted and on top of a late night of work I found that my spare was also flat. I called them and they came right away, changed the tire for me, loaded my truck up on the flatbed and took me to a gas station then filled all 4 tires--all for about $100. You can also just leave a credit card on account and theyll fix your car and leave it out for you to pick up later.Ive referred several friends to this shop and every one has been pleased with the service. I love this place and I love the quality results I get every time. Elders phone number is just what you need in an emergency.

So my Goddaughters car was backed into and the officer said he wanted it towed or I needed to get a new battery and move it by end of day. New battery because hers got smashed in the accident and leaked all the fluid out on the ground and the officer said he didnt want her driving because he didnt want anymore to leak out but it was all gone already. So I said tow because I needed to go to work. So the car went from downtown Waukesha to about one mile east and they charged me 165 and when I asked why it was because it was a special tow. What a bunch of crap! I just had the car towed three weeks prior from the far west side of Waukesha to the same place and it only cost 68, which tells me this place is a scam and they make up their prices as they go along. I will never ever personally use these people!

Only used them because I was forced to after I got into an accident. They are scam artists through and through. They charged me one amount for the tow and storage but then when I mentioned thinking about having it taken to a scrap yard they said if I did that the bill for the tow and storage would be almost twice as much. They essentially wanted me to just junk my car there so they could sell it for parts or jack up the price if i wanted to go elsewhere. They are scam artists through and through. My own insurance agent said to NEVER use them again.

I ran outta gas on a busy street,went to get gas by the time I got back po-po towed it. This happened at 4:30 ish p.m. I called to find out what to do,police directed me there. I was quoted 107.05 on the phone when I got there she told me 207.05,called me a liar. they charged me for 48 hours when it hadnt even been there 24. For shame,karma is sweet,itll come around. Oh! and btw..before you start posting nasties about why didnt I get gas,because my gauge broke I was unaware.I think I dont know how these folks sleep at night,bad bad people.

I am so discusted with Elders I agree with the following poor comments. My car was involved on hit and run 3/2/13. The Waukesha Police Department did not even inform me about my car. Just for the cops to get my car towed costed me $250.00 just to go to Elders. I had to wait all day and fight my way just to look at my car and get personal items out of my car. On 3/3/13 they wouldnt even let me get my car out of the tow lot. I asked if I could pay over the phone to get car towed to an autobody shop they said yes. They told me over the phone that I needed to go sign paperwork to release my vehicle, when I get there they told me they would not accept my card and I needed to go get cash. So frustrating they would not work out anything with me. And charged me for another day. I have never dealt with such rude, inconsiderate people. I would never suggest them to anyone..
