I am very surprised to see some of these negative reviews. I haven’t had a more consistently good haircut from anywhere else Mel is the best! He definitely does rush but that’s because he only makes 40$ a cut if he made 40$ and he he wouldn’t be in business. I will say that his method is insanely effective and consistent don’t come here looking for conversation come looking for a great cut.

My first haircut with Mel was very rough and wasnt pleasant. He kept pushing my head with the buzzers and then pulled my head back to where it was. He also seemed to be in a rush. I later went back and told him that I wasnt happy with the haircut, He asked what was wrong with it, I told him that there was still hair on my neck and that my ear was messed up as well as there being a bright red line on the back of my neck from how hard we was pressing. He then made a public scene and yelled all his barbers to come over. I asked for a partial refund back because it wasnt the best for 30 bucks. He said that all I wanted was a refund and I told him that I hadnt had a problem till then (Ive been coming here for over a year). I wouldnt recommend this place, there is so much better for so much cheaper.

Booked my haircut online, waited in my car until they texted that they were ready for me, no crowd inside, the chair and counters were all sprayed down before I sat in the chair, EVERYONE had a mask on, barber changed gloves between customers, all equipment disinfected between cuts as usual, owner was watching and verifying everyone doing the new processes correctly. This felt much safer than even going to the grocery store. Book your next cut with confidence and TIP WELL!

Went here recently and was completely disappointed. Even with my appointment, my barber only seemed interested in rushing through my haircut to get to the next person. All of my lines were uneven, my sideburns were uneven too. A total ripoff for $35, which is expensive for the area. I had to go to a different barber the next day to fix it.

Its hard to tell how good they are, since I only got my head shaved and covid doesnt allow them to do beards. I didnt get the straight razor shave, which was a bummer, but maybe thats a covid thing too? Anyway, Id go back again and try them out on my beard.

Talented staff, fair price for the service and quality. Also great at making suggestions and guiding without being pushy. Never have to wait more than a couple of minutes.

Prior to Mels my go to Barber shop was either Super or Great cuts, which was always a gamble. He himself and all the other folks at this shop are detailed and give a great cut and shaved. Its been great to see this great business grow and has expanded from 2 barbers to 5 or 6 skilled barbers. Saturday and right before holidays are a bit hectic but on average its no more than a 10minute wait. The location has a small parking lot but plenty of on-street parking just a bit down the road, at most a two minute walk. If you want a great cut Id suggest giving them a try.

I went there with my friend, the shop is very well organized, clean and elegant. Mel and his employees are all friendly and polite. Mel himself took care of my friend, and the cut was very nice and elegant. This barbershop is for all ages as I saw Mel cutting the hair of a kid who was so quiet and enjoying his time with the special kids chair and tv.

Mel’s is fantastic. This is a real barber shop with great barbers. They do a great job, the prices are reasonable and the place is very relaxing.They are great with the boys as well. I take my 7 & 5 year old sons here. They have a fun little chair that’s a cop car and a screen to keep the little ones entertained.

Super nice guys working at the shop and Mel, the owner, is always around keeping an eye on things. Walked in got a haircut, guy says its $25 for a cut. I ask for my beard trimmed and shaved with a straight razor. Charges me $40 total. You would think he would tell me this before he shaved my beard. I told him that was expensive and the owner tells me Im sorry youre not happy with the price. We gave you a $5 discount. Its normally $45. My haircut and shave quality was not worth $45 and he should probably tell me its extra before he gives me the shave. Im not one to put up a fuss so Ill pay it but you wont have a reoccurring customer.

If I could give zero stars I would. I saw Mel He gave me a great haircut but was extremely rude and ignorant. He seemed to get irritated because i didnt know exactly how to articulate how I wanted my hair faded. Would never go here again

Came today in need of a clean up of beard and trim, I was attended by Zak, I explained to Zak that I need a trim and to clean up my beard . I also told him my hair is very sensitive to pulling and such . He went about with the clippers at a very fast pace, not very comfortable and also my face then follows with trimming my long hair on top . Same fast pace and not taking his time . Cutting fast with scissors and just have at it . 15mins I was the chair .Now with a blow dryer not gauging the heat almost burned me . I had to pull away . Ok I get you cut fast doesnt mean your doing a good job . First thing about barbers make sure you patron who is paying is comfortable and at any time if they arent stop take a min . Collect your self and they will be happy youll get a good tip . I know Mel is the owner and I would like for you to explain to him, he needs to work on that skill . He cuts good but could be better . Its a learning curve for him . Thank you

Was mad at me for asking for suggestions. Blowdried my curly hair so it got all puffy and then got angry when i told him to stop. I had to go to another barber to fix it. Maybe he was having a bad day but im never coming back even though i live right there. 20 bucks for a cut and its not even worth it.

Mel is the owner and is always there but even when he is not, I still go because all the barbers are qualified and you get a great haircut. Best fades and blends. Its nice to walk out when done and feel good. For those who llike a straight razor they also do shaves and neck shaving when done. All the barbers are great, no appt needed. Walk in, sit and wait.Kids are welcome also, he has a cool race car type chair for kids to sit it with a tv in front of it playing cartoons to make it easy for the kiddos.Very fairpriced and well worth it for the service and quality of cuts.Thanks mel.

4.7 Stars? I guess the barber I got was the reason this barbershop hasnt gotten 5 stars yet. Pretty terrible haircut, am even worse lineup, not worth $35, thankfully theres a lot of barbers in the area.If you do decide to get a haircut anyway, dont get it from the old head with the glasses.

My first visit was due to a referral, and after going to the same barber for about 2 years, I decided to try Mel. To sum up my experience, Ill just say this. Ive been cutting my hair at this typical american barber shop for a long time, but never have I had so many compliments about my new haircut as I did after my visit to Mel.
