The mangers are nice and ver accommodating, and maintenance request are taking care of in a very timely manner, I have lived in a couple of their places and found it a great place to live.

We loved living here 4 years! Amanda and Sabrina are wonderful to work with they treat us like family. No discrimination. Maintenance fixes everything fast. Better Living is #1 in Waterloo!! They welcome everyone!

I had a great experience with Better Living Management at the Anderson Apartments during the 3 years I lived there. The maintenance staff was as prompt as they could possibly be (sometimes they were very busy, maybe a little understaffed), but I was always left with a good feeling about how they had responded to my request. The landlords/ managers were incredibly friendly. Basically, we treated each other and the other tenants with respect and patience, and everything was fine. They kept tenants informed of changes with notes directly posted on the door or sent in the mail. The exterior looked a bit rough, but everything on the inside was in very good shape. The price was exceptionally low for what I got, honestly. Im very happy with my time living there.

I have lived in South Point Apartments for the last 10 years and absolutely love it! The place is lovely and whenever I have had a problem it has promptly been taken of! I recommend it highly! And the price is very reasonable, too!

I have lived in my current apartment for almost 4 years. I have great interactions with management staff. Maintence guys are top notch. Work order requests are processed quickly and work is always done right. Snow removal has been prompt, first thing in the morning and done as needed throughout the day. I have had great experiences with this apartment complex team!

The manager (Shelly) was genuinely kind. My mother is a first time apartment dweller and with that comes thoughts of security...Shelly offered assurance that she can be contacted at any time for concerns. ...I believe this is going to be a great experience for my mother.

Its a good place to live especially if you have kids. Maintenance can get a bit busy, but they do good work. The place is not falling apart so its very rare that I need maintenance. Each apartment has a small but comfortable deck of its own, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and my two bedroom has an extra 1/2 bath. The inner courtyards look nice, and make for a relaxing view. The pool and work out room are well maintained also. Its a bit more pricey than some areas, but overall I love living here.

The office managers are great and always doing fun stuff.

For the price you pay, Lantern Square offers one of the best deals in the Cedar Valley, hands down. The management is very professional, none of the typical landlord fanfare you would get if you rented from the small time slumlords you see dotting the Cedar Falls and Waterloo districts.The people here are paid to help take care of your concerns and you have a full time staff to do so. Snow removal, house repairs and garbage is prompt.You also get a nice little gym for work-outs, and a pool for relaxation. You can rent a garage for around 35 dollars a month and a two stall garage for 70 dollars a month if one is available. This makes having a room for projects and sharing a stall with your partners car a major plus.The layout is fantastic for young kids, with the apartments surrounding a courtyard with lawn, tables, and play-sets. You have a balcony if you live on the upper floors that faces the courtyard, and can use it for relaxation or drying laundry. The entire complex is enclosed in a wall that makes the place feel private and secure from prying eyes.Last but not least is the location. You are mere minutes from fareway, and hyvee for shopping groceries and you can get to downtown waterloo or cedar falls in 15 minutes. There is also many churches to choose from around your location if you wish to do so.Do yourself a favor and support the free-market economy of America and choose Lantern Square Apartments as your next location to rent from. They deserve your business. Dont support slumlords who dont care about your health and safety and only see you as a coin in their purse.

Its a nice place, all apartments includes in the kitchen a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, my 2 bedroom has 1.5 baths, excellent for me and my son, it has a balcony which we enjoy very much during the summer time with a nice view of the inner patio, the pool and the small gym are a plus, the price for the rent is a little high but it worth.

* BE AWARE* DO NOT rent here. They have lots of problems: Whenever it rains, you will have water leaks (photos). one of the vents is located in the stairs(photos), so you waste lots of your AC and heat for nothing, but you pay more on your bills.You will also get lots of harmful bugs and they will bite you bad. I asked a insect control, but they rejected as its very common to have them.The insulation of each units are just horrible for noises that you have to hear your neighbors snoring, talking, and more.Lower units are always having problems when rains due to a flood.The worst thing is they NEVER refund your deposit. The manager, Shelly and her assistance checked the unity and proved that everything was fine, but you will get you a zero return with the message that they had to clean the unit which is an absolute lying. DO NOT trust these ppl.I personally contacted the owner of the property, Jack Nooren, but he also lies. They are just scammers to hook your money.

I have to say when it comes to Managers at South Point and Lantern Square, Jack Norren has really been lucky to have always been able to secure top notch people. We have at the present time one of the best in Shelley See, who has been in Charge of the Lantern Square-South Point Better Living Management Operation in Waterloo for the last couple of years and it really shows. She is easy to get along with and it seems to me anyway that when I have a problem calling Shelley, she gets the problem squared away pronto.She has a great Staff of Maintenance personal with Dusty heading up that Department with Eric & Trevor giving him a hand as needed. I think they are responsible for nearly 200 units so believe me it would seem they take very few breaks.Shelley has a helper in the office and her name is Sabrina who is indispensable so I hear, and with all of the units that they are responsible for to rent, to show, make sure they are cleaned, painted and etc.Only Shelley could have the ability and skills to be able to keep everyone working for her all of the time with a smile and good attitude. Next time you stop in the Office tell Shelley Thanks for a Job Well Done!!!
