I had birds building a nest in a dryer vent that was about 10ft off the ground and was pretty sure I was beginning to hear birds in the walls.I had an amazing experience with Nest Pest Control. They answered right away, had availability within 3 hours of my call, and when the technician came he was courteous, educational, and his work was clean. I’d 100% recommend them to anyone and luckily I only needed them once and the issue won’t happen again.

My son saw a rat in his new apartment (Friday night) but companies that we called werent able to come until Monday. James responded right away and Dejohn came out within two hours to take care of it. They were professional and responsive. My son would have been fretting all weekend without their quick service.

I do not recommend this company the company did not complete their treatment I scheduled my follow-up several times on their website called etc. to no avail and still today theyve havent responded its been 3 months and was charged $450.00 I ended up getting a cat. Do not recommend at all customer service is a grade F score 0!!!

Right on time! They called within 5 seconds of leaving a service request to remove birds from my outside vents and close off the area...quoted me a price...arrived the next day...great service done within an hour. Thanks again...you can’t go wrong with their service !

Visit 1: 1st spray refused by JamesTook 1 photo of ONE SIDE of my studio apt, sent to my landlord as “evidence” of inability to treat, & refused the job. Did not make specific recommendations for preparation, but rather forwarded a generic preparation checklist from another company. The other side of the apartment was completely bare, in order to expose as much floor surface as possible for treatment. This was completely missed, perhaps b/c James didn’t actually enter the apt. He took a single photo from the doorway. I had to re-enter the property, treat the exposed floor myself w/ store-bought Pyrethrin + IGR, simply push everything to the other side, and take a new photo in order to get treatment (actually consenting to “professional” treatment was also one of the conditions required in order to keep custody of my daughter, as someone called CPS to report infestation).Visit 2: 1st spray performed by Trevon:Courteous, but used methods for roaches. Flea treatments don’t need to be applied higher than thigh height, but he’s spraying up to the ceiling, even after I question it. There are now stains on my white paint. Moreover, fleas don’t typically infest countertops, but he’s checking mine out. I had to ask him not to treat that (food prep). Moreover, I was not given advanced notice that I would be providing the water to dilute the product in the tank; I would’ve filled a clean plastic bottle for easier pouring. However, he spills Transport & Gentrol products on my counters in this process. I had to find the MSDS in order to know if regular soap & water would be effective on that at all. There was no offer or warning to expose furniture for treatment, as I was told only to clear the floor space. Due to that instruction, days before this visit, I sprayed my retail product on my mattress and upholstered chair. He tells me, after the fact, that he needs to spray the chair. When I told him I’d already sprayed it, he said he’d need to spray it on his 2nd visit (but see below). I also had to ask him not to spray bathroom (surfaces in here are much more difficult for fleas to live or lay viable eggs anyway, so I had already cleared that room myself), as it has a drain in the middle of the floor, and Zoecon product labels indicate they are NOT to be allowed into the sewer system. I shared my cell # & asked him to call (or have his associate call) me directly, not just landlord, 30 min before the following week’s arrival so that I could leave from my daughter’s hospital room & have parking pass ready (my bldg doesn’t issue passes for an entire 4-hr Cable Guy window).Visit 3: 2nd spray: I was not home to see treatment, as instructions were not followed to call me, not just landlord (in Pittsburgh) ahead of arrival, as he doesn’t check phones that often. The front desk called me for permission for entry. When I returned, the chair cushions, which were placed vertically in the chair needing 2nd treatment, were in the same position in which I left them. The Borax on the surface beneath was still dry. This chair had not been treated.Visit 4: the follow-up for assessment purposesThis time, I was given a more exact time to meet with James, so I had just arrived home. While I’m on a conference call with all stakeholders involved in this (landlord, DHS, & CPS), James seemed to say said he’d be right back, left the unit, & pulled off.He called the landlord to say it was a mess & he wasn’t treating it, but no fleas present anyway (he can only ID adult fleas, not eggs/pupa. I knew there were eggs, but that they wouldn’t take my word for it).IT WAS THE EXACT SAME CONFIGURATION FOR BOTH PREVIOUS TREATMENTS. No photos were shot the week before. No phone calls made. Trevon had no problem spraying the area this way.Visit 5: James apologizes & returns. Sprays same area. Refuses to spray chair.The flea eggs were still in the chair whole time. Hatched when I sat down. I’m being bitten as I write this. I ordered my own Permethrin.Don’t take a job for pay that you’ve never trained on before.

Excellent service. I was accommodated the same day which I greatly appreciated. Jamal’s service is outstanding not only does he have great customer service but he completed a thorough inspection of our home. He explained the treatments to us thoroughly and made sure to let us know what our toddler could/could not do after the treatment to ensure his safety. Nest took a TERRIBLE infestation of cockroaches and got it under control. They were on time and the technicians knew what they were doing. The price quote was under other folks and they stood behind the job. All told I was impressed and will be back again.

Aaron from Nest came by and got rid of a large hornet nest that was right by my bedroom window. . He was prompt, provided a great service, explained what he was doing and what I should expect. Hard to find that these days. Id rehire for sure, if anything else arises.

Called 24 hr number and no one was available to call back for a few hours. Paid for someone to come out, remove some dead birds and a nest from our dryer vent, disinfectant in the vent, and sealing the vent, but was told we had to pay a separate charge for one of their contractors to come and remove the live bird that was left. When the contractor came, we had to pay duplicate charges for the same thing: removal of now dead bird /since contractor wasn’t available for a few days, disinfectant and RESEALING vent, plus an additional fee just b/c it was a contractor. A few days later, the horrible smell of death permeated our home, along with an abundance of flies. Called 24 hr number again, no one picked up and was unable to leave a message. Called another number for them, someone answered but hung up. Called AGAIN, was put through to a vmail inbox that was full. NOPE.

I called them as soon as I spotted a mouse. They quoted me a price over the phone and then they came into my house and increased the price after they performed the service. Came a total of three times, seal some holes, left some traps, put some seeds with poison which actually worsened the problem. No mice have been caught and they are still here. Keep calling them to come back and take care of the problem and don’t even bother to respond. Don’t bother with them. Waste of money.

Not satisfied at all. Wish i could give no stars. Charged me $200 for nothing. 2 coffee filters with some seeds, chocolate and poison. Kept telling me what he wouldnt do even though those were the areas if interest. I ended up sealing up problem areas myself. No mice were caught and the problem worsened after i identified the problem areas was told to keep them opened which allowed more mice come in and left more droppings and urine everywhere. Missed appointments and didnt call to notify me. Waste of time. Lots of talking about nothing and constantly taking phone calls during my appointment. Had no equipment for sealing or knee pads. I did most of the work. Will never use this company again. I advise you dont as well.

By far the worst pest control experience i’ve ever had in my life. Terrible, absolutely horrible. After not seeing them from December 6th 2019 to January 7th 2020 I finally called them to check up as to why they have not been present. I was told by James that I got lost in the system. Ironic. Andre then came back on January 8th 2020 laid a trap, then back again three days later and sealed up one of the entry points trapping a squirrel or squirrels in my attic. Speaking to me first before making a major step like this would have been the professional thing to do. There is also more than one entry point that the squirrels are using to get into my attic. I have since tried to get my money back from them to go to a better and more reliable service. They refused because one squirrel was caught by them a month and a half ago. Never mind the lack of their presence for over a month and the overall horrific and lackadaisical work they do. Still trying to see if they can actually complete the work or not since my money is now trapped within Nest DC mediocrity.

I am very disappointed with the service I received from Nest Control. First, I feel like their approach of using poisoned sunflowers was not only ineffective but made my situation worse by attracting mice into and throughout my home. Second, one of their servicemen was extremely rude to me, patronizing, and spoke down to me. (He has since been fired). Lastly, I had to frequently follow up to get the services I paid for and the last of my service requirements were never fulfilled. I switched to Orkin and not only did they find my issue they were cheaper.

Best post control company in town. I tried many others come on but no one was as knowledgeable about this area than they. They knew tendencies, could spot trouble areas and explained why, incredible!

James at Nest Pest Control was the best! We were doing Airbnb and some guests brought bedbugs to our home. We didnt even know we had them. We got a free assessment and James showed us where they were. While we could only find them in the Airbnb guest room we opted for an entire house treatment as it was the only way they could guarantee extermination. Good thing we did! Weeks later we were still having problems in the guest room and now in our own room. James had to come back two or three times. Thank goodness the company guaranteed extermination for 90 days because despite all our efforts those little things can hide. Its now been 5 1/2 months since we found out about the bed bugs and we can say they havent come back anywhere in our home. James responded quickly to any of my texts or calls with concern and even helped my mom who had stayed with us and was worrying about them spreading to her home. On top of all this we didnt lose any of our furniture! He was able to treat it all.
