Literally had months to prepare, but guess what? Still “in repairs” as usual. But the Pool works around the clock! Guess what’s brings money is all you care, pretty expensive and no customer communication. Gues they just don’t care.

This gym is clean, well maintained and takes the appropriate action when a member violates the rules. They are not afraid to do the right thing to keep everyone safe. Highly recommend VIDA Metropole/Logan Circle to anyone looking for a great gym in a cool location.

Theres no better spot in the city for a high-calibre workout with like-minded athletes. The instructors make all the difference in creating an inspiring environment for getting in excellent shape.

Although Vida Logan Circle is mostly underground, it has been a great gym to work out at. People who come here are serious about their workout. Theyre less here for the decor or the people watching, and more because they really want a good place to workout, with good instructors that teach classes with quality content that is challenging but not overwhelming. Maybe because it is a bit of a smaller location, one often sees the same people in class and that becomes your class communities. In a transient city like DC, where people often live far from their families, for my gym besties and I, Vida is our fitness home and community, where weve been going and meeting together for years. Were the kind of people who enjoy working out, enjoy working out even better with our friends, and develop strong friendships from our love of fitness.

VIDA at Logan Circle is my neighborhood gym and I am very happy with the facility, the classes, the pool, the people and the level of cleanliness. The instructors are personable, challenge your fitness and provide high quality instruction. I love VIDA.

VIDA is wonderfully clean and I feel safe going there during the pandemic. The staff is very accommodating and want to make sure you have the best possible experience while youre there. I look forward to my sessions there.

Great gym. Best in DC. Quality of equipment and facility is top notch. The music playlist is why I can’t give y’all that 5th star. When I come to the gym I don’t want to hear slow jams and baby making music. Clean up your playlist or make a new one please.

VIDA is awesome! What more could you want in a gym? The great vibe and top notch facilities are my favorite parts. The trainers and dieticians are helpful add-ons, plus Aura and Bang mean you can get all you need in one place. Well-run, including consistent communication and helpful staff. Always perfectly clean too!

Well apportioned gym with courteous staff and good maintenance/cleanliness. Cat runs a tight ship. COVID safety has been very solid here - the one time someone around me was ignoring basic protections, the staff resolved it immediately.

New to the neighborhood and popped in for a second to see how much membership was. The guy at the front desk is quite possibly the rudest person I’ve dealt with since moving here. Acted like they didn’t want my business and it made me not want to join despite it looking like a pretty good gym.

BEWARE OF CANCELLATIONS! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM TO ANYONE.. When we first signed up, we read the terrible reviews regarding cancellations and expressed our concern to Jaramis Wallace (manager at that time) who ensured us he would be flexible if we moved and not charge extra fees. He he has since left and new management will not honor that agreement. Make sure you get everything in writing.. they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you signed up. Areas of Frustration: 1. During COVID they charged you even though the gym was closed! YOU WERE CHARGED FOR A PRODUCT THAT WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO YOU... sounds a lot like the law suit Washington Sports Club recently lost. 2. I am on a month to month contract. Was charged the $79 annual fee on the month I cancelled (was told the fee is for the following year that I will not be a member), plus I have to pay my membership dues $113, plus I have to pay a $25 cancellation fee... How is there is a cancellation fee when Im not breaking my contract (Im month to month) and Im giving a 30 days notice. They will look for anyway to make a dollar. I regret not paying closer attention to the contract and trusting the words of their employees which clearly holds no weight. Theyre charging me $217+ for one month when Im not even going to be in the city... Fine, then they should be reimbursing us for the months they were closed and we couldnt use the product we were all paying for. 3+ months they were closed and we still got charged and had to pay the annual fee... not sure how that is legal..

Fitness Club > Gym Membership. VIDA has phenomenal gym equipment for sure, but what takes it the extra mile is the community and amenities it offers. Nearly every class is free and does not require a sign-up - way better than scheduling 3 weeks in advance to hold your spot. Everything is clean and generally in its place. The staff cares too. Theyre upbeat, friendly, and looking for ways to make your day better. Not a huge fan of the price tag but it has been worth it.

I was a member of VIDA Fitness for a year and I really enjoyed my experience. The facility is amazing for the price. Lockers rooms / showers were modern, very clean, and had everything I wanted and more. Multiple group workout rooms and great instructors. Two endless swimming pools and a great steam room. Machines were well kept and they were constantly bringing in new equipment. The only reason I left was because I moved from DC.I only have two complaints:The first is that they offer a lot of great classes, but some of the classes I wanted to try were only the small group classes and charged an extra fee. I really wanted to do a boxing class, but they only offered a free large group class every once in a while.My other (and larger) complaint would be the personal training. In an effort to rename the initial membership fee, the gym lets you pick a perk when you start. This could be a set of those small group classes or a massage or three personal training sessions. I chose the personal training sessions. However, when I arrived for my first session, my trainer wasnt there. I waited for nearly an hour and the other trainers just stared at me sitting there waiting. Nobody gave me any updates when I asked where my trainer was. Finally after an hour I had to walk into the staff only area and just inform them that I was done waiting. The lead trainer just shrugged at me. After this incident I didnt receive a single email saying sorry or asking about my experience. When I did finally have my first training session, it was basically just a hard sell for me to buy a personal training package which would have been double my gym membership fees. I never ended up using my other personal training sessions.Great gym and great facility. Just dont expect much on the personal training side.

This is a pretty good gym with lots of equipment to use. I Love the fact, that they keep it very clean. The cleaning crew works very hard to make this happen. The gym can get a crowded from 4:30 until 7:30. So avoid those hours if you can. Most of the members here are super nice. Except for a few creeps. Ever since I joined they made a big improvement by adding a small divider between showers. There is still a small gap that can and should be completely closed. If this happens i would give this gym a 5 star

Great group classes. Clean, functional equipment. Sparse regarding staff, but adequate. Avoid 5-8P if you dislike crowds. Membership a bit pricey, but overall worth the price. This specific location is a bit dark (gym is located below grade) but overall nice.

Welcome to dear Vida! Security cameras in mens locker rooms - the gay owner must have fun fun fun. Your private info could be out on social media - a congressmans causes a sensation on FB. Good luck when cancelling your membership - you quit, they wont. Vida Love$ you!

They charge their customers regular membership dues even when their gym is closed indefinitely. If you try to get your membership frozen it costs you money. If you ask to cancel it costs you money. So basically they charge you for a product that they are unable to provide because they are closed. Ridiculous!

If you’re looking for a great gym and relationship with an excellent personal trainer, I have great news. Gabriel Philp is your guy at The Logan Circle location of VIDA. I’ve been very impressed with his willingness to listen to my goals and distinct, sometimes very subtle, adjustments he helps me with. Not sure what your goals are, clearly you’re reading a google review for gyms so you’re somewhat interested in fitness, so sign up and train with Gabe. He’s awesome and the gym is great. You won’t regret it.

I was a loyal member at the Vida Metropole and U Street locations for almost two years.I unfortunately have to let anyone new to DC know that Vida does not care about you the minute you try to cancel. You are guilty until proven innocent and they deliberately charge you extra (including a cancellation fee).I cancelled over the phone and then was told months later I was being charged hundreds of dollars for not cancelling. After showing proof of the cancellation form I filled out, they refused to reimburse me. In fact, they told me they needed written traffic via email proving the form was legitimate... Talk about treating your customer base poorly (especially a loyal one).Do not let Vida steal your money. It was an endless battle with them. Be sure to block them on your credit card when you cancel to ensure you do not fall victim to what I went through. The classlessness is beyond me.

Good location in Logan Circle with a lot of space. There is always equipment open and I’ve never had any issues. Only downfall is it’s unground.

Fine gym, but horrible service. I’ve called and left seven voicemails trying to cancel my membership (or find out how to) over the last month and a half. No one ever answers the phone. Never got a call back and just saw that they charged me again for the two months since I’ve started trying to cancel. They didn’t even acknowledge my cancellation request that I sent in writing via certified mail. Don’t waste your money here. A friend also had things stolen from this gym. I would not recommend to anyone.

The vibe at this gym is horrible! I tried this gym for a week and found it to be worse than a high school lunchroom! Its clicky, so many mirror selfies, and I felt like a piece of meat at the market! I immediately switched to DMV Iron Gym. This gym is not for serious lifters! RUN FAR AWAY!

Didnt pick up the phone when I tried to cancel and charged me for the month anyway. Did not respond to multiple emails I sent.

1. my lock was cut and locker broken into during peak hours at U street location. lost all my cash and the management didnt do a thing, except giving me 3 coupons for smoothies. seriously?!2. the personal trainer I had unilaterally decide to not complete all our sessions despite my effort to chase him to finish. then VIDA refused to refund me the money, even though no service provided.Ive been a member since 2013. This gym is deteriorating like a meteor.

A gym that feels good to go to. DC, as a theme, is great at offering substandard customer service and experiences, in the spirit of paying more and getting less. VIDA totally runs counter to that. Its simply refreshing.

All their elliptical machines need replacement, been malfunctioning for over a year. Management has failed to deliver despite mutliple complains. Perfect location but not worth the money.

Have tried several times to cancel my membership but theyre billing team (Scott) is extremely rude and unhelpful. They continue to refuse to cancel my membership even though I have submitted the cancellation form.

I have never been to this place and cant seem to get off of their SPAM list. Apparently one of their members gave them my email address. I have asked to be removed. They said they would remove me and never did. I live a thousand miles away!Update 4/14 - looks like they finally took me off their spam list.

Going to the gym is like being in a casino... You cant tell if its say or night out.

This Vida is an experience. As a gym, it is fine if a little cramped. They also tend to move the equipment around often, constantly trying to make the best use of the space and somehow making the place feel more cramped/confusing. It has all the equipment you need for a standard assisted workout - definitely not a crossfit or power lifter space (which I prefer). Tons of cardio equipment and of different varieties. The mens locker room is very sketchy and as of this writing it is the only Vida not to install dividers to prevent the reflective walls in the shower. Overall a decent gym. Definitely expensive though. And poor cell phone reception (so dont plan on doing your conference calls while you work out!)

Great gym, good experience with friendly staff. Until they fix the wifi/data dead zone its a miserable experience. For $100+ per month you should be able to stream sirius, pandora, or even a podcast. Figure that out and its 4/5.

Overall a solid gym. Lots of weights and cardio equipment. However, it can get hectic during peak hours (right before and after work) due to the number of people.

Sexy gym! How can a gym be sexy you ask? Well first, I feel sexy when I am there! Not to mention look better after I leave;) The classes are amazing and I recommend the Sensao- the Brazilian cardio dance class that will have you sweating like you are running through a tropical rainforest or iRide- the cycling class with amazing EDM music & strobe lights that makes me feel like I am clubbing in Ibiza. The best part for me is the locker room. That spa-sized steam room & sauna coupled with custom-made spa grade toiletries and warm towel service have officially replaced my trips to spa world. Plus I can wear my favorite mask in the steam room at this location since it is not co-ed and I dont have to worry about scaring some young fella!

I joined VIDA Metropole after moving closer to 14th St; formerly Id been a member of WSC Dupont/Downtown at 1300 Connecticut. While VIDAs membership dues are twice that of WSC, its unfortunately not nearly worth the premium. The cardio area has a low ceiling and is poorly ventilated. Treadmills are often out of order, with broken TV/cable. The manager, Michel, has complained to me that the brand of treadmill preferred by me and a number of other members (LifeFitness) costs hm too much money to repair so hes stocking up on (IMO, less comfortable) Precor models. And why does it have to try so hard to be clubby instead of a normal, well-lit gym? My secret wish is for WSC to open a new branch on 14th Street so I can jump ship from VIDA!

The staff are poorly trained/paid (Like the front desk, they make minimum wage while multi-tasking barista: the managers are amateur, theyre actually personal trainers), so they treat you, the paying customers, badly accordingly - even bully/harass you. Sounds like sabotaging? Yes, Vida just folded Chinatown location.
