I had one of the higher up managers speak with me to resolve an issue at the gym and it was resolved. I appreciate the time and understanding that was given to me as an avid member. That is what service looks and feels like.

I signed up for a membership here having never taken a class before as a way to cross-train while running and have really enjoyed the classes, staff, coaches, and the studio.I had always hated the treadmill, since I would prefer running outside. But, the treadmill blocks are challenging and help me train in different ways than I normally would. I enjoy the class format where I show up and know that I am getting in a good exercise regardless of whether its a Power, Endurance, Strength, or Combination day.The staff is very friendly when you check-in. They also run a number of fun one-offs to help engage you and make you feel apart of the studio. From selling out a 5:15am class to funky sock Fridays, they help keep the energy. The coaches drive the class and make the workouts fun and enjoyable. They make a point to get to know you, so youre not alone. Even if you go to a class by yourself, they are there with you on your PR days and challenging days. The studio is great. This location opened in May 2018 and has a couple nice amenities. The floor section is completely padded, which means you do not need a mat to protect your knees from the hard floor. The studio also provides sweat towels to use and the showers are clean.

I have been a member here since the studio opened and have really come to look forward to the workouts and enjoy the community the studio has built. The workouts are challenging and varied to the point that if you don’t like the workout one day, come back the next because it’s sure to be different. The coaches are also varied and give you the kind of encouragement you need whether it’s some tough love or cheerleading. Overall, I’d highly recommend anyone looking for a solid workout to give Orangetheory Foggy Bottom/West End a try!

Orangetheory Fitness is a great organization to work for. I have been working with them for almost a year as a subcontractor and they dont only promote health but also value people. Each employee is very friendly and professional. My wife and few of our friends joined their fitness classes and they absolutely love it.

I went there last summer for 5ish sessions. The workout was good, however cancelling your contract or a class (my reason was a foot injury making it impossible to take another class for the rest of my stay in DC) was a nightmare. I will not go there again.

The staff here is friendly and deal with any billing issues quickly and reasonably. The workout studio is large and they dont pack you in like other classes Ive been to nearby, coaches could be slightly more engaging but not much different than other OT locations. Prices are competitive to the area. Bring your own lock lockers and nice restroom and shower facilities. Id recommend if youre looking at fitness studios in the area.

Great studio-convenient layout for easy transitions. The most showers I’ve seen in the area which makes it great for lunch breaks. Enthusiastic coaches and helpful staff.

Steps from posh Georgetown, you can get a great workout in before treating yourself to one of the many restaurants that straddle WestEnd/Georgetown. The staff are friendly and helpful and this facility boasts some of the better OTF coaches in the area, including Nikki and Marcus. Thumping music and high energy are always on tap. It remains my home away from my home studio.

Second month of doing OTF and absolutely love it! Not only is it a great workout, but the staff at this studio truly cares and welcomes all their clients. Love that the coaches push you to do your very best and challenge you to beat your own goals. I joined because I needed extra motivation and push and all of the staff truly cares about their members and their goals! Coach Marcus and Myke definitely challenge and push you to do more. Front desk has great customer service skills always friendly and welcoming no matter the time of day. Studio manager Katherine is always helpful, answers all concerns or questions, welcoming and also pushing you to achieve goals West End is the Best End!

I have been to many OTFs, and West End/Foggy Bottom is always going to be my home community. The coaches are top notch (something I hear a lot when others talk about this franchise, which also owns 14th St.), the staff are fantastic and responsive, and the facilities are always clean. Everyone who works at West End/Foggy Bottom is happy, which speaks volumes and indicates a well-run franchise. Look forward every day!

The fact that no one is available to answer the phone and you are sent to a voicemail is ridiculous for a business. There are consistently more than enough workers there to have someone pick up a phone. This lack of customer support for members is a shame.

Staff are all friendly and make it a point you know who you are and other details about you even if you dont come frequently. They seem to have a system for it! HIIT with motivating music and coaches, no two workouts are the same. Targets are broken down into minutes and seconds, which make them less overwhelming and also less boring. I like their proprietary rowers. Best of all you monitor your progress in terms of time and heart rate visually on a screen, which motivates you to push yourself to do things you thought you couldnt (but actually can). Exercises are customizable to your strength level and style. Workouts are easy to book on the app. This is the only gym that has worked for me so far.

My first OTF class was last Sunday at OTF West End (Best End!) with Coach Nicki and I absolutely loved it! I was nervous beforehand, but Ally and Nicki both made me fell so welcome and excited to start participating in OTF workouts. Before OTF I was someone who would half heartedly go for a jog or hit the treadmill / elliptical for 20 min or so and then call it a day. I knew the importance of strength training, but I could never get myself to do it partly because I didnt know where to start. What I love the most about OTF is that you do cardio and strength training in one workout and your coached by a professional. Also, one thing that always held me back from OTF was the fact that its a 60 minute workout - that seemed so intimidating to me; however in reality the class goes by so quickly because Im having so much fun pushing myself in new ways!

This is the best studio in all of D.C. - no questions asked. Everyone from Katherine (Studio Manager) to Marcus (Head Coach) and even the SAs as well as the Coaches (Myke and Demi especially) are outstanding. They make it a point to know all of their regular members individually and provide a welcoming environment for everyone who steps through the door. Ive been to a few studios and West End will always be my favorite.

OrangeTheory opened up in the West End/Foggy Bottom area in mid-2018 in the old McFaddens location at the corner of 24th and Penn. It’s easily accessible off of the Foggy Bottom metro and metro buses/circulatory and close to GWU, GW hospital, State Dept, World Bank, DuPont Circle and Georgetown! Now, since this is a select studio (inside a major city), there is an additional fee for those that aren’t members of other select studios in the US... but there are some additional perks (listed below). This location is the best OTF in the area! The front desk staff are extremely friendly when you first get there! The studio manager, Katherine, is a great role model for the staff and does a great job running the best studio in DC. The staff’s positive attitude sets the tone for your first workout! The facility is also the cleanest in the area. They have 4 shower stations as well for those that need to get ready for work! The floor and treads are super clean. Really. I’ve been to other studios in the area and this studio keeps everything clean in the studio. Most importantly... the coaches here are all AMAZING!!! The head coach is Marcus and he is the GOAT. He gets the most out of you in a workout. He is a good balance of pushing you to the limit and having fun in class. All of the other coaches as fantastic as well- Myke is very energetic and provides a good push for everyone, Damani does a lot to help correct form for all members, Demi and Nicki are super positive and make you feel not just physically better, but also mentally better after a workout, and Katie provides a great overall, well-rounded workout too! They have 2 options for 90Min classes as well on weekends. Also, they have free towels. This is easily the best, most efficient 1 hour workout you’ll get in DC. Try it out... your first class is free anyway!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. This is simply a for-profit franchise of a mega-corporation that doesnt care about you ... just your money. This franchise is a bully. And like a bully, the only thing they respond to is push back. And still, the concept that the customer is always right has never, ever been floated at an internal training session. Also, you can get a similar workout at any one of these boutique fitness studios - dont go here. And dont sign a contract if you do!Anyway, The day I started, I shattered my ankle - breaking it in three places. I wouldnt be able to walk for months and was in extreme pain dealing with the broken ankle. Not to mention work, a new puppy, and so many more important things.Rather than taking my word for it and freezing my membership, they needed a doctors note. Sure, fine, I made that happen. I provided a full one-page letter from the doctor to freeze my membership indefinitely, but that wasnt good enough. They needed an exact date. I said at least four months. They said they could only freeze too.I said to cancel, and magically, they were able to freeze it for four. After four months, my account came off the freeze. I understood my contract required a couple of months payment to cancel, and that was just something I had to deal with. Just another bad break, literally. So I asked them to cancel after the month or two that was required per my contract. They told me to come in in person, with a broken ankle, to sign a cancelation form. I did. I was told via email my last payment would be April 3 of last year. I moved to Miami in May. This gym charged me through August of last year when I informed them I was still being charged. Apparently, my form had been lost.Miraculously, at that point, they canceled it - form be damned. But now they are refusing to refund the nearly $1,000 they owe me.I suggested maybe an inexperienced staff member had lost this all-important cancellation form, but I was told that I was lying.I have the entire email chain and will post it. The emails match my claims 100% - the only thing they dont have is this form that I clearly went in and signed. Theyre trying to tell me that Im a liar. I dont think anyone would be this on top of something then not go in and sign some form. Theyre insulting and greedy.Be careful with this shady and money hungry franchise. Go to Barrys or Sweatbox. Stay away.
