Just started back getting my hair cut at Hillmans. I usto get my hair cut there a lot back early 90s. Mr. Hillman (owner) always shows ppl respect and love, he lost his son Mark yrs ago (rip) he also was a baber there and his cousin Roe (whos still there) all good people. Dexter he cuts my hair he too has been since early 90s (funny guy), so! for whoever reads this review and looking for a good barber to chat your hair go to Hillmans on H. Street NE.. One of the original barbershops in DC.

Been going to this barbershop ever since my old one closed down, and the people here have been welcoming since I started going there.The prices arent bad, and the shop opens early enough for an early riser like me who likes to get things out of the way.Definitely worth checking out if youre in the area and need a haircut!

Asked if my 6 year old grandson could get his hair cut. Was told yes and it shouldnt be a long wait. After 45 minutes we got up to leave and then I was told they go by appointments and walk-ins have to wait until one of the two who do children has no more appointments. However, those two also take adults. So, why have me wait if that was the thing at this shop? Told me I could come back in the morning. I dont think so.

The best barbershop in DC. Everyone of the barbers are professional and have excellent skills.

They have great interaction with customers and colleagues, however it took away from the focus of the cut. The tapper the barber gave me was not blended well and my lining was not crisp at all. I could have did this myself. When I asked for a razor lining the barber did not use the razor properly and literally just stopped trying without handing me a mirror to look at the end results. Thats not what Im used to back at home in Chicago the cuts are a lot more precise.

I have been going to this barbershop since I was a young boy. Dexter has been cutting my hair. There are a lot of great barbers here. Mr. Hilman is the owner and is great at customer service and making sure his shop runs smoothly.

Laid back vibe and high attention to detail.

Barber had no idea what he was doing. A neighboring barber had to stop his work and come fix my fade. If youre new, be wary...they may try to pawn you off on the new guy who was somehow worse then a random person off the street.
