From a rooftop view, the experience with the leasing office was excellent. The agent handling my move-in, Olivia, was personable, supportive, and engaging. Often, when people first meet me, they mispronounce my name even after Ive corrected them, but Olivia got it right on every call. The best customer service exhibits genuine customer care, Olivia exemplified that in my experience.
I have lived at this apartment complex for 5 and a half years; good location and the amenities I need in the building complex.I just changed apartments when my lease was up in July 2021, and it was pretty seamless with the great customer service from Leasing Consultant Olivia Kostovski. In times of pandemic she was very thorough, empathic with my long distance situation when trying to find another apartment virtually and answering my and my Husbands many questions.Olivia has been the best Leasing Agent I have dealt with at this complex, with consistent service.I highly recommend her for your leasing needs, as she is thorough, listens to customer needs and is so nice and pleasant. Thanks to Olivia!
If you want to move here, ask for Olivia, as she has the warmest personality. Not only was she welcoming and understandable, but she helped and accommodated us through every step of the leasing process, making it as simple and stress-free as possible. She was a pleasure to work with and made all the difference in our moving decision.
I just moved in at the beginning of August. My experience thus far has been great. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Ms. Olivia Kostovski and Mr. Jonathan Vazquez. The apartment building is everything I could ask for. I would highly recommend this apartment complex.
Moving is really stressful but the leasing staff like Olivia made this a seamless and stress-free transition. Front desk and custodial are super kind and helpful as well. We love our new apartment!
I just moved in to the building a week ago but so far everything has been incredibly smooth and well-organized. I scheduled a tour within 24 hours kind of on a whim -- I really wanted to be in the area but hadnt liked the amenities at other buildings I toured in the neighborhood. When I toured, I fell in love with a specific unit on the top floor that met all my needs. It was a little higher than my price range but a GREAT deal for the square footage I got. I applied the same day I toured for a move in date a week later and Jillian, the leasing agent who helped me, was super responsive and helpful in getting everything turned around quickly. I will admit, I had read the reviews and was anxious about the leasing process, so I may have bombarded her with questions but she was so helpful and kind when answering my excessive questions. When I moved in, I had a two-hour block with the loading dock and elevator -- there was one other person moving out but they were on the first floor and didnt need the elevator so I was able to move all my furniture and stuff into the unit in under my two hour window. The apartment was spotless, clean, and just as nice as when I toured when I moved in. In my first week I have already been able to use some of the amenities, and everyone in the building has been polite and respectful of COVID guidelines. It is SO convenient, so close to everything I wanted in the neighborhood, and I love my unit, the views, and the amenities! So far, everything has been great and I definitely recommend living here.
Good, nice apartment building. Prices between the same units vary quite a bit so do your research. Also, the leasing office is terrible with communication when you are a resident. They take weeks or months to respond to emails and the office is often closed.
I do not write reviews often but I was reading the reviews and noticed a consistency in specific concern - lack of follow up or communication from the office staff. I went to tour this community - absolutely beautiful! I toured 11 communities and this one was in my top 2. I left the office feeling this could be my new home as I was transitioning from another state and had to make a decision quickly.I got back to my home state and struggled getting in touch with office staff. I did not actually reach anyone until my third day of calling. Then once I did get in contact with someone, I was getting conflicting information. I wanted to put in my application but could not get my questions answered and eventually the apartment I really wanted went off the market! How disappointing. Now I am having to settle for sister community when I wanted this one. At first I thought this was just bad luck but it appears the lack of communication or follow up is consistent. Just including my honest experience. Bummer.
They are not good to transfers. We transfer from a apartment to another and we had the worst experience. They forgot to reserve the elevator in the day we request, they just gave us one key to the mailroom, the carpet was dirty and the sunroom floor boarder was broken. We could not enter in the resident portal to request maintenance.
The building is poorly built and maintained. There is a known mold issue in the building. The issue has been reported to DCRA and Paradigm management. This is Mrs. Franklin-Bullock who is in the database. All pictures and complaints were sent to the President of Paradigm and the Mount Vernon Property Manger.
Poor maintenance, high rent, untrained staff, repairs and maintenance that never gets done, and worn out carpet and paint pretty much sums up the Meridian at Mount Vernon Triangle experience. I recommend looking somewhere else if you are looking for a place to live. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
The building is nice, but this management team is extremely uncommunicative. You ask to tour via email or their text service and they never respond, and a friend of mine applied for a place and it was radio silence for weeks. Not sure what is going on in their leasing office.
The leasing office literally will never respond to emails... Do they not want money? 😂
On the surface, this looks like a great community to join, but the leasing staff is largely unorganized and unresponsive. I can only imagine what its like living here. I scheduled a virtual tour online 3 times over the course of a week and not once were my confirmed reservations met. When I finally made contact and they learned what apartment I was interested in, the 2 featured rent specials disappeared and the rent shot up by about $75 the same day. Two weeks later, the apartment is still available, so I cant comprehend why there was an increase in price. I think that sort of bait & switch is reflective of how the management team views its tenants, so do yourself a favor and find an honest community.
We are new tenants here but had a great move-in experience. Every leasing agent we worked with (I think we met them all at some point!) went above and beyond making us feel welcome and well-informed during our virtual visits. They were respectful and considerate of COVID guidelines. Move-in day was smooth and the apartment was clearly deep cleaned, which was appreciated.
To be very clear: The one factor that brings this review rating down has everything to do with the leasing office, and nothing to do with the amazing staff working at the front desk and who keep this building in such great condition. We love this building. We love our apartment. We’re going on almost 3 years now, and after seeing the recent new tenant deals we thought hey why don’t we reach out to the leasing office to see if they would be willing to negotiate with us in some capacity because of that loyalty....unfortunately we’ve now connected with the same 2 people each 2-3 times, both of whom never confirm or deny having a conversation previously, fail to follow up via email when they say they would or go on blatantly ignoring us. We’re all trying to make do during Covid...but it’s as if they’re tryinggg to do the bare minimum and it’s incredibly disappointing. Almost upsetting. We will not be renewing when our lease is up and will not be referring this building.
Jose and his whole team were always super helpful. My wife, son, and I (and our dog) had a great experience living in this building! The staff was superb and I can’t thank them enough.
This building is gorgeous. The units are well designed and constructed. The amenities including a massive rooftop with grand views of the monuments, pool, and common space (great for WFH) are a a treat. The gym is spacious with strength machines, free weights, cardio equipment, and a private yoga studio.I toured this building and fell in love with a specific model with grand windows overlooking the street from high above. I want to specifically thank the leasing agent, Olivia Kostovski. The entire walk-through was extremely pleasant. She creates an immediate connection that is no pressure and specifically tailored to your needs. Walk-throughs can be stressful but this one was fun, light-hearted, and enjoyable.
Update: the leasing office never answered the email they asked for in the comments. The best service I’ve gotten here is from an intern- who has been great- but the rest of the staff is not good.Bottom line- I would not recommend this building to a friend. The leasing office customer service is completely subpar. The building management has no discernible process for turning over apartments- they will take forever to produce paperwork for you to sign, and the apartment you apply for might not even be available. They will let you pick a move in date without actually verifying the apartment is available on that day, demonstrating that they do not have much of a regard for your time or schedule. There are plenty of other buildings in the neighborhood, city, and DMV to take your business.
We moved into an apartment because of the quality of the building, presentation as you walked in, amenities/services and location. The best part was the apartment itself; large, well laid out, lots of closet space with a beautiful sun room with a 180 degree view from the 12th floor. The concierge staff and leasing office were superbly helpful, often going out of their way. Our neighbors were friendly, polite and respectful. The location was spectacular; could walk to everything. Occasionally, you noticed street noise, but given its central location, that was to be expected. I loved doing business calls from the roof and reading up there on Sunday afternoons. All in all a great experience, loved living there.
This apartment building has spacious living spaces and common areas. The staff is very friendly, and the amenities are spectacular. A great place to see the sunset from or to watch DC skyline at night.
Meridian at Mt. Vernon Triangle has been an exceptional place to live. The leasing office and concierge desk staff are courteous, kind, efficient, and do their jobs very well. Even during Coronavirus lockdown, I felt safe and protected in our building, with diligent and numerous janitorial staff cleaning everything. The communal areas were superbly maintained, and I felt proud to have company come around. My apartment was thoughtfully laid out, spacious, and had excellent storage! Any issue with maintenance were handled within 24 hours. The gym is huge and clean and has a variety of good equipment, with lots of cardio machines and weight machines, also free weights and kettle bells too. The yoga studio is super well appointed, and the spin studio is an extra bonus! Before Coronavirus we had free classes with great teachers! The staff also hosted many community events that were fun and diverse. The location is amazing, walking distance to so much, and Mt. Vernon Triangle has become an excellent area for shops, restaurants and social life. We moved out of DC back to our home state, but if we move to DC again, I will definitely move back into Meridian Mt. Vernon Triangle. I absolutely loved my living experience here.
Great building, big apartments with furniture and amenities for rent
Bugs is a big issue since the day we moved in. We have opened 3 maintenance requests and the first two requests were closed by maintenance without any communication. We saw bugs (roaches) coming into our apartment from hallway. We also saw roaches in trash room. We asked maintenance staff to seal cracks and holes in our apartment. But they ignored our requests. I also called the leasing office and spoke to Tara(not sure about spelling) yesterday. She said she would talk to maintenance manager and send maintenance staff to fix the cracks and holes on walls and vent. But nothing happened afterwards. If this is a real luxury apartment, please do something with bugs. Because no one wants to move in and live in a place with roaches and bugs.
The maintenance staff and the concierge staff are the only positives about living at Meridian MVT.The leasing office is typically not very helpful, and property management is not forthcoming with residents as it pertains to issues of safety/security. In their defense, most of the leasing consultants are new, and the problems begin and end with management. There have been multiple break ins at the property and the leasing office does nothing to increase security measures or add surveillance. Many times, they don’t even disclose issues pertaining to resident safety to residents and they don’t follow up with residents that have been impacted. The only time leasing office/property management reaches out to tenants is to let us know that they are arbitrarily increasing fees, closing one of the amenity spaces, or to chide residents to pick up packages from the package concierge in a more timely manner.Since COVID, property management has not implemented any changes to normal protocol that would 1) alleviate resident anxiety regarding cases that arose within the community or 2) ensure residents that their well-being is a priority. For the amount they are charging for rent, I’d advise renting elsewhere with a property management team that values their residents.
The Meridian at Mt. Vernon Triangle is truly an awesome community to live in. If you want to experience a quality lifestyle in the heart of D.C.. I have experienced nothing but the best service from leasing, management, maintenance, the concierge team and friendly neighbors. As a true Washingtonian I am proud to call this HOME.
We recently moved into the Meridian and love our apartment and the building community so far. The leasing agents at Meridian are fantastic. They respond quickly and are extremely accommodating, and we have been extremely impressed by their professionalism and friendly service, especially Bianca, Sarah, and Tiana. We are excited to live here!
The overall apt itself is great. The concierge staff is friendly and inviting. The grounds are maintained and the maintenance crew works hard to fix the things that need to be fixed quickly. On the other hand, the leasing team is a complete joke. They have no idea what they are doing and are a complete scam. Jose is not a good manager, simply because he cant do his job- Manage. He nickel and dimes you when it comes to your rent and his response is the algorithm. His condescending attitude really shows that he only comes in to work to punch a ticket and does not care one bit about the tenants themselves. The other leasing staff does not have the answers to simple questions and they always have to be pushed you to Jose, which I do not want to work with. As much as I love the apt building the leasing company truly makes it difficult to stay. I have neighbors and friends in the building that feel the same and are all looking at different options come when our lease is up. Cant say enough good things about the maintenance and concierge staff AND cant say enough bad things about the leasing office.
Have been living at the Meridian at several years and have been incredibly happy with the 24/7 front desk support. Whenever I have a question or need help I am able to reach out and get a quick response. The front desk managers (especially Josh) are always alert, kind, helpful, and proactive.
The living spaces and common areas are amazing! The rooftop is perfect! The gyms are also very nice and well maintained. Management is very attentive and polite. That said, some of the residents have not quite figured out how to adult and throw parties, leaving their trash everywhere. Ive found Phase II is better about this than Phase I about this.
The building is nice with a great location and amenities, but is horribly run. The staff members here are difficult, lazy, and rude. We constantly run into issues with rooftop access and grills not working for months, the leasing office incorrectly charging us online, garage clickers malfunctioning, and taking weeks to replace something as simple as a mail key. They inconsistently change rules without fixing it in their system, then dont own up to their mistakes.
Ive had nothing but a good experience in the 3 months Ive been here. The hallways, elevators, lobby & gym are clean & well maintained. My apartment is so quiet compared to other places Ive rented! Concierge staff in building 415 are the BEST!
This place is great! My wife and I have enjoyed the last 2 years here. The upstairs patio is always nice in the evening, the staff is always helpful and friendly. Weve never heard our neighbors through the walls, even when we were on a nosier floor and the apartments are dog friendly. With all the upcoming apartments in the area, unfortunately we will be looking to move out at the end of our lease but I would definitely live here if the price was a bit cheaper.
I am considering renting at this complex, and called the front desk to ask a quick question a minute before they closed. The attendant answered the phone, pretended she didnt hear me, and proceeded to hang up.If you arent going to answer my question because you are closed, why even bother answering? Dont be deceptive. I am definitely wondering if this is what I can expect from this complex staff, which would make this place not worth the hassle.
Good views and amenities. The front desk people are nice, I recommend getting to know them or at least saying hello. Apartments are built cheap and rent is high but whatever, its in a good location. 24 Safeway across the street and walking distance to everything.
Are the negative reviewers paid trolls from competing apartments? Ive lived here for more than 3 years and while nothing is perfect, my experience has on the whole been outstanding. The apartments are gorgeous, the amenities are first rate (the rooftop in particular is resort quality), and my maintenance requests are completed within hours. The fact that this community is receiving negative reviews is actually causing me to rethink my reliance on any type of negative review online for anything.
Very nice apartment complex. Cheaper options than Shaw/ U street corridor. Extremely easy to get out of the city for commuting purposes. Lovely amenities including a great gym.
Quality has been going downhill since I moved in at the beginning of the year. The roof top is nice but it gets crowded by non residents. I guess thats what happens when you have a tiny area for two buildings. Non residents are always asking you to open the doors with your key. It takes a couple days for them to find your package so if you need something right away dont have it delivered to your residence. Its possible they could hire people with more pep and customer service oriented. Also the building is near the police station so loud sirens are constantly going off which the closed windows do not block.Update 1/31/2018 I moved out of the apartment in January 9, 2017. I broke the lease and paid the remaining rent through the end of February 2017. I paid of all the utilities And called to cancel services. Then one year later I get a notice that I have outstanding untility bills for water and sewage for the months of Feb 2017 and the month on March 2017. They are scammers. Beware because if you don’t pay for utilities for months you didn’t even live there they will send it to a credit agency and it will affect you credit history.
Nice apartment building and very friendly people at the front desk and quick on maintenance requests (Thank you Andre!)
The apartment building is fantastic, management extremely efficient and friendly, amenities and facilities superb! Dont even think twice to move into this building!
This place is super expensive and maintenance is sub-par. Theyve installed electronic locks on all of the doors, but the batteries in these doors constantly die. The locks die within a month or two of of the batteries being changed. But despite the locks constantly dying (and you being thusly locked out of your apartment), the maintenance people are impossible to get a hold of to change the locks. You go to the front desk to ask them to send someone, and they say to put in an order online. You put in an order online with maintenance and nothing happens. You go to the front desk to check on your order with maintenance, and they are unhelpful and tell you to wait. You cant actually leave your apartment because you wont be able to get in, so your schedule revolves around the maintenance peoples. We pay well over 2k in rent a month to be locked out of our apartment with nonresponsive maintenance one a month. Not to mention other maintenance issues weve had--including a sink that drains into the dishwasher (that we were told was designed to work that way, so we couldnt run the water while we loaded the dishwasher), we are glad to be moving out.
Terrible management - all the reviews online are true. they will drain money from you like a leech and are always ready to threaten your financial/legal well being to get their pay.
I spoke with the leasing office agent over the phone and she was very unpleasant. If thats the person they have inviting people in, then its not a good welcoming for anyone interested in living here. I asked about leasing a 2br 2ba apartment, which ranges around 3k+. I have a slightly odd situation from most people moving into apartments in the city. My husband and I have 2 kids and we have a nanny during the day. We are willing to pay for 2 parking spaces, but our nanny would need one as well. I asked if our nanny could use a parking space during the day while we take our cars out to work. It seems crazy to me that Id have to pay for additional space when the parking lot is usually empty during the day
The apartments are beautiful, the rooftop is amazing, the gyms are great, 24 hour concierge is handy. Management and maintenance are helpful and quick.Whats the biggest problem? The neighbors. Some of the people that live here have no regard for anyone but themselves. Theyre constantly throwing huge parties on the roof when youre only supposed to have 2 guests per apartment, breaking things and making a mess in the common areas, and generally being drunk and belligerent on the weekends. Multiple renters have complained to management, but theres not much they can do.
Pros: The staff is really top notch, great amenities, the building is new and well-built.Cons: Currently surrounded by 3 construction projects. Regular permits allow them to operating from 7am-7pm all week. They also purchase special permits so they can start construction at 1am (no joke). Meridian also borders New York Ave which is the road where all the ambulances, firetrucks, and police officers like to turn on their sirens at all hours of the day. Traffic piles up at 4pm and the honking is relentless. If you have T-Mobile, you cant call or text regularly in this location between 12-1pm & 5-7pm. Too much usage in this area.
This place is a joke. Management is the worst. If you have a problem, like say they give you ID to another person, they dont do anything about it. Everything is always broken, other residents pee in the halls, break bottles and vandalize the elevators, and the list goes on and on and on. It looks nice from the outside, but it is all just smoke and mirrors. I would avoid this place at all costs.
Really nice apartment complex. They have a pretty cool event room.
The lobby level is very cute. With an outdoor patio deck accompainied
Solid
